First of the afternoon here. The signage certainly did the trick - RG spotted a gallery just up the road was open so the geocaching was put on hold while we went and checked it out. There are certainly a lot of talented people in these parts.
A Sunday drive around Moutere for a couple hours for myself and RG.
We picked a couple of roads and picked up the caches on those while enjoying the autumn sun. Thanks for the caches all COs.

A bit of afternoon caching on a glorious day in Upper Moutere ️
So many cool places to explore & Neudolf Road has it share of great businesses & creative types. McMillian Gallery is def worth a visit
I have laid claim to the title of official geocaching photographer for Ricardinho, so I snapped a pic to document the find!

Found with NZDi. It is Easter and NZDi decided she wanted to go to the Mapua Easter Fair seeing she missed out last year due to Covid-19 Level 4 Lockdown. Also we purchased a caravan late last year and as Easter is traditionally the last outing of the season before caravans are closed up for winter, we didn't want to waste this opportunity even though we have another trip planned next month.
So the plan is to set up at Motueka Top 10 Holiday Park for three days going to the Fair on Sunday, then on Monday look at the weather and decide whether to spend another three days in Golden Bay or head down the Wet Coast. In the meantime there is some caching to do.
Today is Day 4 of our expedition over the hill. On Friday we managed to get what the purists would say was 17 caches, but two of them were Lab Caches so GCHQ says the tally is 25, and who are we to argue with that. Saturday the purists tally was 20, but one of those was a Lab Cache so GCHQ says 24. Yesterday we went to the Mapua Easter Fair so only had the afternoon to cache and only managed to grab 12 with no Lab Caches. Today we are going to head out to Upper Moutere where NZDi spent her formative years living in Blackbird Valley and going to Neudorf School.
We had no plans for the day, just drive along roads and pick up caches as we could on the way to Upper Moutere. We turned into Neudorf Road and stopped to pick off this cache. There certainly are a lot of differnet ventures out this way now, mainly of the artisan type. Back on the day when NZDi lived up Blackbird Valley the Ewers and the Benseman families were mainly involved in growing hops. That died off but is now taking off again.

#8588. I have been over in the Nelson region for the past week, mainly up in Takaka on a work trip but managed to squeeze in some geocaching on the weekends either side and on a couple of other days. After driving back to Nelson last night and staying with a friend I had some time prior to my flight back to Wellington in the afternoon to pick up more caches in the Nelson area. This was one of them. My muggle friend has joined me on the trip today although she has geocached with me a few times now and knows what to look for.
Back again to do a circuit of several caches we had earlier bypassed. This was one of them. Didn't take too long to track down the cache at this spot. The logbook was duly signed and the cache replaced where found. Thanks Sidewaze for hiding it here in this lovely rural setting.

Heading on towards Motueka and gathering a cache or 2 along the way.
Quick find here, thanks for placing and maintaining this cache, Sidewaze.

Had a meeting out in Moutere this afternoon so left a little early and made a few detours on the way there. This was quickly spotted, signed and replaced. Thanks for the cache.
I disabled my caches during Level 4 lockdown to encourage everyone to do the right thing. Now we’re moving to Level 3 I’m going to leave the decision to search for a cache or not to each individual. Remember you still need to stay in your bubble and a bit of hand sanitiser before and after handling a cache would be appropriate. Keep yourself and others safe.

Whilst hubby Orth 21 found this one for us I had a chat the the very friendly locals.
Left early this morning to go on a trip from Dovedale to Nelson to explore cool locations and pick up a bunch of caches along the way. This was one of the many caches we found.
Arrived at GZ for a quick find in the obvious spot. TFTC Sidewaze!

A quick find with TregearP on our way to the International Geocaching Day event. All in good order, thanks for the cache.
Taybeedragon and I have come to Nelson again, to collect a few multicaches. I am trying to get a streak of ten multis for a challenge cache. Today's multi done, we are now heading out to Motueka to visit my dad.
My note book goes on about the title of this cache. I had to look it up. Okay, I now know what you are going on about, and yeah, eye have to agree!

The Seagnoid needs a couple of multis this weekend. Its early Saturday morning and we are off for another adventure to Tasman, with The Seagnoid and Zara. We are heading to Motueka for the night with some caching on the way.
Another easy snag and tag on our way around this area. Cheers

The roads were fairly quiet this evening so I decided to pick up a couple of caches that I usually leave due to the amount of vehicles whizzing past - this is one of them tftc
Scratched around in the wrong spot before I stopped and thought sideways about the description... well done thanks very much!
This cache was visited by one or more of the groups participating in an activity with the local Junior Youth Group. The groups were beep!, motorbooks and robots. They enjoyed the geocaching experience. .
A trip up the valley to St Arnaud and into Richmond the long way before a loop back through Wakefield, to Rabbit Island via Dovedale. Sounds like a crazy plan? Sure was. I've solved a couple of puzzle caches over Wakefield way and was looking to grab them on a single loop drive before a low-tide assault on the Bells Island caches, which got canned due to time/energy/pluck.
Having been in this area for just over a year a few of the Nelson/Marlborough COs are replacing some of my North Island ones on my 'caches placed by a certain CO' list. A few big movers up that chart today.
Having done a couple of others in this caching series I was wondering where the rest of the alphabet was. Now I know. Only got this one today but a nice hide here with all that advertising promulgated

A quick park and grab , then we read all the signs, something you don`t do driving past. TFTC.
Nice wee find. The last one on our drive....had to stop finding caches as we would never have got home!! TFTC
"No, Miss N, it won't be there, look it's just..."
"But Dad! Look what I just found!"
"Alright then. What do I know"
Moral for the day: Plastics come in many forms - even for geocachers.

Just a quick side trip onto Neudorf Rd to get this cache - the rest along the road will have to wait for another day. TFTC.
#7729. If I remember rightly, I overshot (thinking the cache would be at the corner) whereas Troodles stopped in the right place and found the cache. TFTC.
Holidaying in the South Island, grabbing a few caches on the way. Found while staying in this area. Thanks for the cache.
TFTC. Seized the opportunity - in this case to get find 4 for the 75 in a month MGSC challenge before the phone battery died.

Such a busy day on the roads today. The highway was a racetrack. Glad to stop off in this quiet road but had to wait for a couple of bikers to move off. Had they been caching or just having a chat ? Thanks for. The cache Sidwaze!
Argh! The smell of fish was overwhelming! I'm guessing this may be some type of fertilizer for the vines? TFTC.
Enjoying our day out caching in the country now the sun is out it's even better! thanksSidewaze 4tc:)
Had to wait for a few muggles to move on before completing the paperwork. TFTC, #5390
What a lot of businesses down this country road . Log was quite damp - hard to write on. TFTC
[maroon]Day 4 of our 5 day Easter caching roadtrip. Today we were heading from Nelson towards the Mini Trail near Motueka, going up one way and coming back the other.[/maroon]
Nice quick find at billboard corner. There was water in the container so good thing it has a waterproof log. This is our 12th in the alphabet series. Thanks for the cache

We thought that we were about to meet another cacher as we drove closer to GZ. Why else would anyone be bending over in that spot? Seems he was just dropping off some local newspapers - Glad we hadn't got as far as introducing ourselves! Once he had gone we made a quick find. Thanks.
