I got distracted by something else nearby that was the right color. After not finding anything, I expanded my search and found the right thing. TFTC.
3rd cache today. Off on a day trip around Tasman picking up some missing D T spots, the PWGeoTour 3 up at Marahau and as many others as I can find.while the boys play golf. thanks for the cache Sidewaze.
#8593. I have been over in the Nelson region for the past week, mainly up in Takaka on a work trip but managed to squeeze in some geocaching on the weekends either side and on a couple of other days. After driving back to Nelson last night and staying with a friend I had some time prior to my flight back to Wellington in the afternoon to pick up more caches in the Nelson area. This was one of them. My muggle friend has joined me on the trip today although she has geocached with me a few times now and knows what to look for.
We decided there was enough time to duck off down this side road to grab this cache. Stopped and checked out one object but then noticed another nearby that looked even better and soon had the cache in hand. The logbook was duly signed and the cache was replaced where found. Thanks Sidewaze for hiding it here. Not sure what the emphasis was on hiding a cache here but its always good to gain another smiley.

Another quick snag and tag on our way to Mot. Cheers
Its another weekend exploring Nelson and Tasman with The Seagnoid, Toby and Zara. Early start out of Blenheim getting to Nelson by 8am. Had a great weekend picking up a couple of Labs, even a new one on our way home in Havelock.

There are some HUGE properties here!
Why is M for Sis?
Given that I am leaving Blenheim soon, I am putting in a concerted effort to cache out the South Island. 40 caches this weekend, only a few thousand more to go. A couple more weeks should do it! As usual I have Zara, Toby and Taybeedragon along for the ride. We were supposed to be going to Murchison, but there is some horrible weather that way, so we came here instead. Much better!!

I disabled my caches during Level 4 lockdown to encourage everyone to do the right thing. Now we’re moving to Level 3 I’m going to leave the decision to search for a cache or not to each individual. Remember you still need to stay in your bubble and a bit of hand sanitiser before and after handling a cache would be appropriate. Keep yourself and others safe.

With the last souvenir insight, SJT_NZ and I tackled a few caches before the weather watch kicked in. A quick find here and all in good order.
A quick find on my out to Harakeke on business.
All in good order. Signed log and replaced as found. Thanks for the cache Sidewaze.

Up from CHCH visiting family in Richmond...
Last morning in Richmond before heading back to CHCH. Boys keen for another morning fishing adventure in Mapua - why not I say! Made a wee detour to grab a cache or two. A nice wee spot.....developed a lot since my day living in Mapua.

Lucky last as I head towards the main road and some semblance of civilization, esp with less than half an hour before collection time. Nice and easy here, signed in and replaced as found. Still thinking sideways, thanks Sidewaze.
Today is International Geocaching Day which means a souvenir is up for grabs- yay, though I've recently gained all those pesky Mary Hyde ones so am not short of a bit of (virtual) Geo-bling. Broke the day into 3 distinct phases; Phase 1 was the event back in Blenheim, a 0700 start, flat white and gentle Geo-chat. Phase 2 was the inevitable trip over the hill, drop the girls off at the shops and dash off and grab a 'quick' 3 caches before moving them for Phase 3 - trip to Richmond Mall for them, and a trip up the Moo Tree Valley for me, culminating in a 2nd event of the day. All ion all a successful day, though the weather was not what was advertised, there was some leakage from the sky which was not all that welcome. My current 'poorly' G P S just about coped and gave up the treasure as required, it lives on (for now!)

A quick park and trap I don't think you can use tampons for travelbug .Tftc Sidewaze
thankfully the cache wasn't along the electric fence. the cache was easily found & signed. this was the 5th & last of the day while geocaching our way to our Marahua holiday home. Find #262
Pleased I didn't have the grandkids with me today as I am not sure what I would have said if they had taken a fancy to the tampon that is in this one. Don't thnk they need that in their treasure bag. tftc
I was muggled-out here by a neighbour early one morning in the summer, but the road was all very quite on a pleasant, and now dry, Sunday afternoon.
Quickly found the hint item allowing me to make up some time - which I would eventually lose later in the afternoon.
Thanks

What a beautiful spot to stop and have a break and find this cache. It was an enjoyable trip today.TFTC
2nd try on this one today as a vehicle stopped right on GZ (another cacher?) on our first attempt, so we went and did the rest on our list and made this one the last. Good find, noisy dog.
Another nice spot , these back road caches are a change from travelling the main routes. Thanx4tc
Some pretty big houses and gardens around here and looks like ponds are de rigueur.
Usually it's StreetWalker who is first at GZ and finds the cache too, but he was wandering off to the left, so I made the find in the first place I looked . Victory dance while he looked unimpressed. TFTC.

#8414. Lots of building going on in this area; looks like you need a few $$$'s to live here. TFTC.
Out for a run with the dog. Nice distraction when not so motivated to exercise! Pine needles made great camouflage! TFTC
A barking dog was definitely drawing attention to us but the view 0f the new houses, olive groves and ponds was a great excuse for being there. Easy find while M took some photos.
Having found some gobbledegook nearby thought I might as well get a second smile before heading home. TFTC

We loved the views from this place. Today the horses were running free in the sunshine. Thanks for the cache.
Lovely area with great views ... Thanks for bringing us up here .... Having a great day caching in the country Thanks Sidewaze for another great cache
Sunday afternoon sat at home getting bored so decided to head off into the country to find a few caches. Some nice houses near GZ!! One day perhaps..... Easy find and TFTC!!
[maroon]Day 4 of our 5 day Easter caching roadtrip. Today we were heading from Nelson towards the Mini Trail near Motueka, going up one way and coming back the other.[/maroon]

Easter weekend and what better than to go cache hunting with my favourite Easter Bunny. Worked out a circuit and off we went. Quick find. TFTC
So, three to go! (I've been doing some research...) still expecting (!) an interruption to caching oppprtunities so not sure how fast progress is going to be, the rest of the series may take some time. We'll see. Tftc
Today I Went for the 100 caches in 1 day. With a very early morning and just breaking even at lunch time with 50, it looked like it was going to be 12am to 12pm. But after a move out of the city they started to speed up, and i managed to grab the last at 20:30 with 106!! Thanks everyone for the caches that they have placed, from the ones that have been planed for months to the park and grabs
4th of the series for me today and last find for the day. Lots of development going on since last time I was up this way. Quite a range of house designs to look at. Some good, some not. Home for tea now, TFTC!
dropped off weta trackable, he's making his way around NZ, started in the NI now heading south, good luck little weta
After doing caches in this area on 10/10/10 and 11/11/11, it seemed necessary to revisit today. Thanks for this series, we have enjoyed both the caches and the deciphering of the cache names.
Found as part of a geocaching trip to and around Nelson. TFTC! Found on 28/8/2012 (but forgot to log the caches from this trip at the time!)
TFTC. I am visiting the area for the first time and seem to have begun the alphabet in the middle. When I get home I will do some research and work out what I need to do to learn the entire alphabet. I can't wait.
I was surprised to come across this one. This series just keeps on keeping on for me. 18mths now, I guess. More rubbernecking at peoples houses. A most enjoyable pastime, or more accurately, a most enjoyable caching sideline.

Another find on a night caching run with Hazedarus. Unfortunately too dark to take in the views but suspect they are expansive. TFTC.
Am slowly learning the alphabet and liking it. On a night caching run with Holymu. The views must be extraordinary in daytime but the light show was fantastic. No moon and starry night. TFTC
Another clever alphabet cache name, and a nice easy find. Thanks, we are enjoying these.

The first cache of the day, I suppose I should stress how much I enjoyed finding this. TNLN SL TFTC
Maybe the easiest find in this series! Unlike A nearby that I failed to find after a long search and cant bring myself to go look for again today. TY.

A very quick find at GZ, not like the previous find - thankfully! Well done with the series, alot of thought has obviously gone into this. TFTC

Pretty noisy around here the cache guards are definitely qualified for the job.Im glad this is a quick grab.I was creating plenty of attention but no one was around. TFTC
the find was easier to get than for me to understand ya thinking !! Some pretty flash homes here.
One of the last finds this afternoon before we went home for lunch. Nice country road with great views. Thanks for the cache =)
This was the first of nine of Sidewaze's Alphabet caches I found this morning. I really enjoyed the play upon words in this series. Thanks for all the effort and TFTC
Didnt see any horses today. Only a few cows that were interested to see what we were up to. Thanks for the cache
6698 Mmmmmm…. Sis this is another cool spot, lots of interesting developments happening here, TFTC
Missed smoko (again) so did a couple of caches on my way back to work from a job,Great way to spend smoko.TFTC
Good fun series of caches. Found cache in good condition and located it quickly. SL TFTC
Don't think we have been down this road before - was interesting to see that there is obviously still lots of money in this district thanks for bringing us for a look signed log thanks for the cache
Spent awhile admiring the house that is in view and felt if we owned it we would rattle in it! So return to the job in hand and carry on caching Quickly grabbed signed log and moved on TFTC
In a far far away time, long before earthquakes (well, about ten days before, actually), Annie & PB went geocaching in Nelson for Annie’s birthday. Some of the caches never got logged, and this was one of them. So we’re logging it now – with a, hopefully, never-to-be-repeated, repetitive log.
So, thanks for your cache, and I’m pretty sure we signed the log. We maybe even took a coin or TB on further travels, or possibly dropped one off.
