Snug, log damp but signable with good pen. Fabulous views. Spot of cardio on the way up . This morning before work, I had unsuccessfully searched for a cache, so I needed one this afternoon to keep up a streak. This one seemed like it would be quiet and its roughly on the way home. It also happens to be relevant to a challenge we are working on. Rather blustery heading up, Im sure its crazy on the skyline trail. Found the cache no trouble at all, then admired the hazy views for a while. Thanks huhugrub #1211
The walk up was steep as mentioned by a previous finder but on a well graded path and not much steeper than a path I climb every day to home, though the one to GZ is a bit longer! A nice brief aerobic workout!Someone mentioned about permitted access, there seems to be no indication that the area is out of bounds. The cache was an easy find, but unfortunately this was partly because it was fully exposed.Returned in accordance with the last words of the hint. Was a quick trip: I was able to walk up, retrieve and return the cache, and get back down in the half an hour or so between buses. No plans to go up to the Skyline today, perhaps just as well as though it was a lovely fine day it was quite breezy close to GZ so could have been a lot windier higher up.,-TB. TFTC.
TFTC. On a family walk to train for Christmas tramp. Some resistance from younger members of the family. Bonus swim at Khandallah pool on the first day of the season.
Parked on the street leading to GZ.A short walk up to the tank and the amazing views.A bit of flying itchy's about on this very hot day, but it was not for long after a quick find with the helpful hint.Outter container was a little damp inside, but the air-tight container inside, kept the log in excellent condition. Cheers.Sleepy was here!
Went for a walk with the geo-toddler and this was the closest to where we stay. We didn't know if we can enter but decided to climb over/under respectively. Couldn't spot the cache but enjoyed the views. While the tot enjoyed a snack I looked again and low and behold where we avoided due to spikes is where we needed to be. Water from outer container removed, log and container in good condition. Thanks for the cache and leading us here Apologies for the late log. It appears that we are nearly as bad as armchair loggers??. We actually DO go out and find the caches but because we plan to write up longer and nicer logs at home we also can (read: often do) forget to do so. We could blame the teen and toddler, but travelling the world then moving into a new country unexpectedly (NZ) means we were always busy and now have 500logs to catch up on ?? they are all from drafts so the date of the log will be when we actually visited (not today) which will align with the physical paper log but not CO receiving this email.
Nice easy find but mind the ongaonga that's slowly creeping closer to it. Tftc!!
Attempted this from Sirsi Terrace, and boy is that walk up steep! Cache located quickly, tftc!
Out caching with my partner in crime again (I’m the partner half, she’s the crimeful part). All good here, thanks huhugrub!
After walking up the hill to find one of Yeetrees' ccaches before he archives them all, and coming away empty handed because the cache is buried and will need more than a spade to retieve, I walked back down the hill still needing a cache for today. Turned off the Yeetrees filter to see what was nearby. This one! Awesome! A nice easy find totally not covered by a ruddy great fence strainer. Sweet. Thanks for the cache. And the view!
Found with aeshna_uk after checking out the a listed property nearby. Bit of a daunting climb but easy find once we got there. TFTC!

Having done a fair amount of 'out of town' caching lately, it was time to show Welly some love today. The plan was a bunch of caches that had been on my radar for a while. This was one of them. Slowly working my way through this (kiinda) series, and today was the day - all safe and dry up here. TFTC.
Good quick find. Recent trackwork going up toward Mt Kaukau has made slope like climbing marbles! Very little traction. Tftc!
Easy find thank you. Nice to get to a new part of town. Forgot my pen! Photo included of cache.
Quick find, mainly as the cache was in plain sight. Log a sodden pulp so stuck in a waterproof log in a small bison tube which will hopefully stay drier.
Well it was surprisingly fast and easy to find. Was rewarded with fantastic views of Welly harbour and surrounding areas.
Log a little damp due to condensation in surrounding plastic bag. Was still able to sign. TFTC

Needed to find one cache today and as I was in the area, this was it. As it hadn’t been found for more than six months and another one further up the hill has been found, I wondered if this one was still going to be there. It was! Slightly exposed, a quick find. Covered it up somewhat better. Still a tad windy (as it was for the last logger), but great views! #2451. TFTC.
Was in the area so popped up for this one quickly. Was out of the rocks in the open so popped back under to save it blowing away. Tad windy up here!
Day 4 of the Wellington Mega. By the end of this day we had done over 20000 steps the most walking the whole time we are here. It was very hot up here in the hill with KJR as we walk up to get a cache I needed to complete my day matrix. TFTC
Had an awesome time in and around Wellington for my very first Mega. 5 days of caching and today = day #4
Today was the day to target some specific caches with Gadget169 to help fill in our date and D/T grids. Found this one along the way TFTC

Went close by this one today with my running group. So made a little detour to find this one. Quick find. Unfortunately I didn’t have a pen with me so hopefully the fotolog will do. TFTC
Day 2 of my MTB trip around Wellington tracks the Hutt road this morning, then Titahi Bay coastal track and now the skyline track up to the transmission tower and a few more caches what a great day and some great weather and views, thanks for placing all these caches for me to find and places to explore.
Went to replace the log book, but found the "temp" one left by NZ_MacGyver was in perfect condition. Left it as is. Thanks.
Great views. Very windy. Log book too we to sign. Left a new temp log book. TFTC
A quick find while in the area this morning. The logbook is wet but just about serviceable.
Thanks heaps for the cache.

Found it!
Nice quick find.

I decided to make a quick diversion to explore Broadmeadows a bit on my way back north. After a couple of false starts trying to figure out where the trailhead was I eventually got up to the area of interest and was greeted by another great view. The accurate coords led me straight to the cache although it took me a minute to figure out where a cache could possible be hidden here which I duly did without needing to resort to the hint. The log is rather damp, torn and fragile which is surprising since the CO was the most recent visitor. However, thanks for bringing me up here.
Been meaning to come up here and find this for ages. Container a little wet, and plastic bags, but log want too bad. TFTC
I've not been to this part of the park before, and came for a new cache just published nearby. It's a lovely morning and a great excuse to pick up a couple of caches on the way. Thanks for the cache
7341. In Wellington for a few days and had some spare time so, while Iris was at a conference, I decided to find a cache. No GPS or maps or information but I vaguely remembered a cache being somewhere in this area so, after checking our Dancing Stream cache, I drove up the road, parked the car, walked up the track, chose the direction at the fork on instinct and, within seconds, had the cache in hand. Must still have a good memory in spite of old age! Thanks for the cache and the exercise. Rodney.
Early morning cache in the area to do some mountain biking. Think I lost the white light along the way, but add a smiley, quick bike and grab. TFTC!
Dry and in good nick Gave it an air in sun for 10 min just to be sure Good view from here over harbour but southerly pretty cool today Tftc
#1617 Found with wb1117 - her first ever cache! Finally she has decided that being geo-widow isn't fun and decided to apply the "If you can't beat em, join em" principle.
We had an errand to do in J'Ville and also wanted to go for a walk. We were originally planning another walk in the Keith George Memorial Park, however decided we'd break some ground we'd never been before. Several people up here this evening - many of them encouraging us and telling us we weren't far from the top. To be honest, it isn't a big walk from where we parked up to the tower - no further than the ones we find ourselves frequently doing in Upper Hutt almost daily. It was however enjoyable, and wonderful views.
Cache had a table spoon of water, however log all dry and good. Cache emptied and dried as best as possible. Thanks for my smilie and helping keep my streak alive.

First find on a beautiful day! Tftc. Ps it was a bit leaky so I double zip locked bagged it
Construction work has now been completed. The ground at GZ has been resurfaced, affecting the original hiding spot. Replaced the cache about a metre from where it was previously, but coordinates and hints remain valid.
Went to check on GZ. It is still a construction zone, with the ground dug up and the area fenced off. Will continue to monitor.
Thanks for the heads up. Went to check the cache. Met some workers on site. The barriers that have been put up relate to some construction activities around the structures over the next 2-4 weeks. We have removed the container and are disabling this listing in the meantime.

Found it no problem, log getting a touch damp again. Someone has put up barriers around where you need to go though, we just went round them but obviously someone doesn't want people in there, may need a move?
No luck on this for me today....

Final find on my geocaching run from Ngaio. Quick and easy find, initially thought there was no log, until I completely unfolded the paper...

Straightforward find, the hiding spot was a bit cobwebby though! Extracted with caution. TFTC
#127. Bit of a climb but easy find once we got there. Awesome views in the evening light. TFTC.
Log sheet full and a little damp - water was in cache and some had made its way into the bag.
Once again, the geoboy preferred to stay in the car with his tablet so it was just me and the geogirl heading up the track. Log a little damp, but still signable, and another marked off in this series (two in one day!). TFTC
#540 very cold and windy day. Even the dog was unhappy - then I forgot a pen. Photo attached. TFTC
A sweet find after spending a good half hour on a frustrating DNF further up the hill. Sometimes you enjoy the pleasure of a "nice" cache.
This was an interesting new area for me to explore and some new tracks connecting to Mt Kaukau.
TFTC!

Quick find this evening. Never new there was an entry to Kaukau here. Wouldnt be to keen to go up or down on Mountain bike as pretty steep up to Kaukau. Probably just need to be a bit more recklass. TFTC.
Luckily the weather had calmed down considerably this afternoon and it was a good time to knock off this cache. I don't recall having been up here before and was rewarded by the extensive vistas. TFTC
On a Christmas day ramble with the kids found it. Stunning views over the city. Didn't have a pen so couldn't write in the log but it has a stack of glow in the dark stars in the cache as proof of find.
Quick find on the way into work to fill a dot day.
Fantastic views from up here.

Find #1630. Needed a walk and to tidy up a few ignored caches while in the area. A few more clouds now and much cooler than before but the steep climb soon warms you up. Quick find. SL TFTC
A steep walk with a small geocaching friend on a windy Wellington day. Left some glow in the dark stars as this looks like a great place for star gazing. TFTC.
31st day of Aug yay! Beautiful view. Found with Eorope after visiting family in Broadmeadows but couldn't sign book as left pen behind. Photo available of Eorope holding cache next to hint object if required.
Yipee. 31 found on each of August's 31 days. Great view of Wellington and thankfully the southerly wasn't blowing. TFTC.
