It would be very annoying if someone was picnicking nearby in this quiet little park. Thanks again to The Bushies for the find.
Well geocaching surprises you everyday.
I chose this cache as it was on my route south from Sydney.
I know there's a Paddy's River further south but I did not know it has given its name to this vulnerable species of eucalypt.
The cache name tricked me too. I was expecting a different type of container, but I guess it is a box of sorts.
There's an unusual forest of bare trees in the garden nearby. I peeked through the fence to get a better look.

A bit of a walk to this one on a chilly morning to warm us up. The find was quick so we were nice and warm when we got back to the car.
An exploration of Bowral was on the agenda for today with the associated geocaching. It was a mixed day, with quite a number of hides being in poor condition while others good, but in general some tough going. The weather was a bonus, with overcast skies and only light wind.
The highlight of the day was a trip up the Gib with some magnificent views and good caching thrown in at vantage points.
We completed two Adventure Labs and a few multis, but largely traditionals, with a couple of Earthcaches thrown in.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache The Bushies.

Found this cache while out geocaching near the Moss Vale, NSW area. The cache was in good condition unless stated otherwise. Thanks for the cache and the adventure.
Here is a little information about me. I have been geocaching since March 2015. At the time of finding this cache, I have over 8550 finds plus 1120 hides. I am the creator of the “Duck Dip” Lab Cache that won 2nd Place for the Australian Capital Territory in the State Vs State - Battle of the Lab Caches at the OzGeoMuster - The Gong Mega (GC7N7ZC) 2019 in Wollongong, Australia. It was my love of Geocaching that helped me find my lovely Wife. I have dedicated a Geocache to her that explains how Geocaching brought us together. That Cache is The Blueiris of Tidbinbilla by DARKSIDEDAN. | GC80WHA | Australian Capital Territory, Australia.
Currently I have over 10,000 Pathtags in my Collection plus over 500 Etagz. My collection includes over 300 JMC Pathtags and 180 Charlie Harper Pathtags. I love to trade pathtags with people at events or via post within Australia only. I currently have four Personal Pathtags 45762 / 46950 / 47696 / 47987 with another three in the works. Note: I do not trade overseas (Australia Only) so please do not ask. Also I do not log my Pathtags on Pathtags.com to keep what I have in my collection private. If you are selling your Pathtags or want to swap Pathtags send me a message. As a bonus to reading this very long log, please feel free to discover my Virtual Trackable AR6QTT. Yes this is my Personal Virtual Trackable and I give permission for you to discover it. Please feel free to share my Virtual Trackable with every geocacher you know.
I have included one of the Geocaching poems that I have written. I hope that anyone reading it likes it.
Geocache Poem
by DARKSIDEDAN
My endless search goes on and on
Looking for treasures of every kind
Always chasing just one more find
Putting past DNF’s out of my mind
I step out into the world outside,
Seeking what is hidden from me
What size, shape or form will it be?
Only time will tell, I can’t wait to see
Will I find my prize at the end?
I will search in the failing light and cold
Filling with despair having looked everywhere
Where is this thing that gives my life pleasure?
Looking all around from every angle
I read the logs and check the hint
I curse out loud as I walk in circles
screaming the bloody thing it not there
As time flies by and I fail to see,
Never once stopping to realize
It always been there before my eyes
No need for sorrow, there’s the Geocache.

***** I am currently writing very detailed logs because of a challenge provided by Project-GC called "The Author". This Badge challenges geocachers to write logs with an average one hundred words or more in each log. As of the May 2021 my average is 160 words per log, which seems close to the 200 words per log target. However given that I have found so many GC caches, I have to write many logs with well over 200 words for a long period of time to get my average up. Apologies to anyone who finds the logs tedious but it is the only way that I can strive to attain this challenge. After more than 8000 caches (which includes all cache finds up and including today I am now entertaining the possibility that I might be able to achieve my task very soon. Progress has been better than anticipated.

**This Cache:**
Quite shocking that this simple hide has proved to be so successful after 10 years! Maybe muggles don't use this piece of public furniture very often?
The cache is missing 1 of it's 2 magnets. So is holding on for dear life, but still found and replaced OK for now as long as it doesn't get knocked!
TFTC
**Today:**
A trip to the Southern Highlands today with DSD to clean up some of the more "Park and Grab" style caches, rather than being super focused like I usually am! We also managed to sneak in some of the solved puzzles on my list too which were on my to-do list and happened to be along the routes we were taking!
All up a fairly productive day, with 45 finds over a 5 hour period excluding the driving time to/from Canberra. We had a few DNF's and a LOTTT of Did Not Attempts, unfortunately there seems to be a lot of missing caches around the place.
Thanks to all the CO's!

Really behind on my logs and only just catching up, sorry for any generic type logs!
I picked up Littl3Vix early this morning, we were headed down to Mittagong area and we had a big day of fun and caching planned. It was a great day to be out, and an awesome day for us, bagging 30 finds in the few hours we were here.
Stop 7 and another quick park and grab. Parking nearby and walking over, we had strong instincts here which made for a super quick find in this lovely park. Thanks for the cache!

Find #513 on streak day #177.
An early start today for my geoventure with MizCupcake. We met up and headed down to the Southern Highlands for a day of caching and to enjoy the area. We had a lot of fun making our way through the towns and back roads to each of the caches and had many victorious finds today, ending up with 30 finds by the time we decided to head back home.
A quick and easy park and grab to take us to 7 finds so far. This one had us pinpointing it the second we got close. Can’t say much but nice location. With signing duties completed and cache replaced we headed off. TFTC!

1 September 2019 @ 1:32 pm. Found your awesome cache while OCW *Throsbyonchurch* and *Little Kitten*. Thanks *The Bushies* for a great hide and adding to a fun day. Great location to enjoy a nice relaxing picnic lunch. Mum decided to head out for a drive seeing as it was such a glorious afternoon. With some expenses coming up this week she decided not to head out of town but enjoy a nice drive signing logs in caches I have not yet signed - all official now.

#9252 - 10:03:00 AM; Originally planned to be overseas this weekend, but a change in travel plans meant I could head up to the 'OZGeomuster 2019 The Gong' Mega instead. Headed off with andrewbt for a weekend of caching around Appin, Wilton and Wollongong and stopped off in Bowral and Mittagong for a couple on the way through, including this one. This was the first stop for the day and we soon had the cache in hand and log signed to kick of the mission. TFTC The Bushies
Found during the Mega Weekend.
A Fantastic event, seeing many friends, and making new ones - Bumping into cachers everywhere we went - a great time. First time in a swag too.. I now want my own!
It was my second mega - but the first one where I stayed on site
Caches were found, and with the exception of one or two, most were easily found and in great condition

It’s been quite a while since I headed to the Southern Highlands for some finds. So after dropping Geoson #2 at the station I headed down the highway towards Moss Vale. Of course just before I arrived at my first a light sprinkle of rain hit the windshield, but thankfully it only lasted for 30 seconds, and then stayed away for the rest of the day.
Started by finishing the Lackey Extension trail, and then just picked my way around until it was time to head back home - hopefully before peak hour traffic got too bad. Well, only had one bad section...
Anyway, found 22 before heading home, meaning find #6000 is getting very close.

OCW marj01. Todays plan was to visit the Moss Vale area and complete the Yarrawa Road Trail and the Forgotten Australian series, then grab any other caches we could on the return journey back to Sydney. This slippery little sucker was found without much effort. Thanks for placing this cache.
Yay got it straight away today. Don’t know how we missed it last time. Good camoflauge colour!
after all the reviews saying it was easy, was hoping for a quick find. No luck today!
