Logs
Found with some assistance from Portstevo, log is saturated and tearing when trying to unroll, unable to write on it
Tftc. Another revisit in the daylight. Walked straight up to the cache this time. Logbook is completely soaked, managed to sign it but it did tear rolling it back up.
After lots of searching we finally found it. Had walked past it many times, log was too wet to sign and I had no paper on me so hve sent a photo of cache to owner as proof ??
Hatzofff and I are on our way to Canberra for a week then to the Rutherglen Mega.
Overnighter here at the Port: we had a few minutes spare, so we dropped by to attempt a revenge on last December's DNF.
By golly what has happened here? It's a disaster jungle. So many fallen branches and trees.
After bashing our way through the vines and bushes (as well as navigating the debris), hatzoff noticed a colour that didn't belong. The cache!
Thankfully, one native bird species has survived the tempest and the cache lives on.
Log signed and cache replaced as found at 5:06 pm on 31 March 2023. TFTC, lightsaberlodge

Caching today with RoddyC on our trip to the Mega. Only allowed one cache and seeing I needed a multi, I chose this one.
We were here last year with a DNF. We decided to give ourselves another go at it. With a couple of big fallen trees, we wohndered. But while walking around the root ball I spied something that did not fit into the natural environment. (Too bright for nature). Sadly the connection to the ring has rusted off, but I managed to refit the ring and use it as a lever to open the cache.
Cache has not been completely hidden, so it should be able to be seen.

In the area after a night's stay. We are on our way to Canberra for Christmas.
Did not find anything at GZ despite a couple of PAFs.

TFTC Thank you for hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity.
Another beautiful day for geocaching around beautiful Port Macquarie. Great little spot, great cache. TFTC,
Found today on a small cache drive, had a fun time finding this cache!

With looming weather, we shot out for an afternoon cache run, heading south to Lighthouse Beach to start. We battled light showers on and off, and found 17 caches (some rippers too), without a DNF.
It was getting late and we were heading back, so a quick stop for a double cache was welcomed. The mosquitoes were pretty fierce, so we were glad for a quick find. The information needed was found quickly, and some coordinates calculated - cool, we're going that way....
Luckily the rain only became heavy a few seconds before we got back to the car.... TFTC!

Clues were quickly gathered and gz was not that far away. A lovely walk along the path.
FP awarded because we feel it deserves one.
If the log sheet is small we may sign as CG. We also visit any trackables that may be travelling along with us for mileage.
Lots of thanks to lightsaberlodge for placing the cache and adding to our caching adventures.

Headed out for a little walks today. Coordinates were easily worked out, then cache was soon found in his home. Thanks for placing a cache here for us to find
We always enjoy a Multi-Cache and we also needed to find one today as a qualifier for a daily Multi-cache Challenge Cache and so we stopped off to undertake this one. While at waypoint 1 we saw two Eastern Water Dragons, a Terrapin, 2 Kookaburras and an Australian Figbird plus several other bird species. We then updated our GPS with the corrected coordinates and walked on towards Ground Zero where the cache was found after a brief search. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the very appropriate cache container and greetings from Zimbabwe
Nice little multi along pleasant walkway. Easy math and comedian didn't hide too long either.
We are trying to complete a few more multi caches so we complete a challenge cache that we signed the log for in Canberra last month so this one was on our list of caches to target. The information was located quickly, GZ calculated just as quick and then we walked back to the cache and it was located quite quickly also by Mrs Shifter.
Thanks for the hide lightsaberlodge.

Love the themed Camo, took us a little while of wandering, but one of the geotwins located it, after geodad actually got the maths right for once! TFTC
Having a bit of tune we headed over. Plenty of activity in the creek with fish, eastern water dragons and heaps of turtles. The information was soon collected and we melted moving to avoid the mozzies. A bit of a hint at GZ and the well themed contain was soon spotted. We added our initials to the log and re hid. TFTC
We have travelled up from Sydney’s Northern Beaches to Port Macquarie for our annual summer holiday, camping in our Jayco Swan Outback camper trailer at the Breakwall (Sundowner) Holiday Park. Today we spent the morning at the Kooloonbung Creek Nature Reserve, collecting caches around the circuit track, then after lunch we visited Historic Roto House and the Koala Hospital. This was our 6th find of the day, and 55th find of the holiday.
After finding "DC Heroes V's Villains - Batman" we next came to this one, as we crossed over the creek via the pontoon bridge. Located the required info, loaded up the GPSr, and then headed off to final GZ.
Arrived at final GZ and started our search, but failed to find the cache. Then we realised our error, having used the parking coords to offset against, so did a quick recalculation. Doh!
And so after relocating ourselves to the new (and correct) GZ we quickly uncovered the hide and had the nicely theme camoed CIH. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. And yes they were laughing at us high up in the trees as we signed the log. TFTC lightsaberlodge.

Find #2146
Found this cache in the company of some ex-cachers who will be re-signing their geo account shortly, and approximately 1 million mozzies. This was our 2nd attempt at trying to find this cache as our 1st attempt had us all over the place. This time the co-ords sent us to the same spot as before but then swung around to reveal the actual location...YAY!!! cache found. TFTC.
Calculated coordinates and made a quick find after a jog to GZ. Love the cache. TFTC.
We've been slowly traveling south from Coffs Harbour for the past few weeks, taking our time to explore the north coast of NSW. Even though we've driven past many of these lovely spots in the past we've always been on the move with somewhere else to get to. Now we're retired we have lots more time, and we're really enjoying exploring this lovely area. We're also picking up lots of great caches on our travels, certainly a great way to find local spots travellers often miss out on.
A great multi that took us on a short walk through a lovely area. Calculations finished quickly and it didn't take too long to find out feathered friend. TFTC

Hi there lightsaberlodge.
We found your cache **"Gum Tree Comedian"** at 12:35:00 PM today. (This makes our total find count 17467).
Today we cached around the 'burbs' of Port Macquarie. We had a most enjoyable morning & found 4 caches in a variety of container types and sizes (& DNF'd 1). Thank you for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places to visit on our nomadic wander around Australia.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Nothing.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny

Nice cache! Found in good condition pretty much where expected. Lovely day for a koolunbung stroll. It is so nice in here, and yet we don't come in that often. Thanks for placing.
**# 14393** Found on our extended 2016 winter escape trek .
A nice day for a drive around Port looking for caches.
Not many muggles around here today.
A quick calc and then off to a quick find as well. Very good hide too.
Thanks for the cache lightsaberlodge,

We decided to tackle this one for the special souvenir available this weekend.
We headed to the bridge after a day out in Port and Wauchope and soon knew the value of "x".
Unfortunately my brain was not in maths mood and somehow we miscalculated . Can we blame the four geokids driving us crazy. We sort of guessed based on where it took us that we had made an error. However we did find a nest with a cute rainbow lorikeet inside he popped up to say hi and the kids were stoked.
After a recount and correctly identifying GZ's co ords we headed off.
Cache was quickly located. Such a cute find. Log signed and cache returned just moments prior to a walker coming along the track.

We're visiting from Florida, USA. That was great fun. Thanks for placing the cache.
Out and about with teamdfl again today.
We soon had some numbers so off we went walking.
A quick find at GZ.
Not sure about the Gum Tree reference[?]
Thanks for the cache

After the morning out in Broken Bago Forest we were heading to the coast for some more hunting. It was late in the day, so we decided to target caches with favourite points, or those with high D T ratings.
We made our way to the bridge and did the sums. A short walk to GZ and a quick hunt for the cache. Brother Colin picked the right spot for this one

After heading to the beach, decided to get this multi to (slowly) boost my multi ratings. Lovely spot. Tftc!!! #673
Really nice area. Saw a few young koalas on our walk. The cache itself was well hidden well. I liked the container
We had to borrow a friend's gps for this one because the phone didn't quite cut it. What a lovely walk and a very nice cache! It was a little damp but I managed to write on it ok with a pen. Tftc
Used a koala as a decoy for the Muggles that wandered past when we yelled about the cache container.
What a cute cache container... Thankfully there was a koala in the tree right above us, so we used that as an excuse for our excitement as a muggle couple were walking past the moment we found it, lol.. TFTC
It was pouring with rain, so I took the easy way, and parked at the parking area. Lots of mozzies while I was looking at the sign, but the rain did keep the muggles away. Ha ha.
Another nice Port Macquarie walk in the bush, nothing laughing at me today but soldiered on anyway, quick find TFTC
On a day's caching showing new cacher China Doll the ropes. Found GZ quickly and worked out the maths involved and off we went. Clever hide, I have one similar waiting to be published. Signed log and all good. Thanks for showing me another section of this brilliant boardwalk trail in PM.
After getting the correct number entered into my gps I set off towards the arrow. While it was an interesting walk, it ended up taking 3 times longer than it should as I ended back near the starting point. I was rewarded with a very unique hide and well put together cache. Thankyou.
Nice find, thanks for showing us this one! Had a great walk though this nice park. Kids loved it!

Log not wet, however the zip lock bag was broken. Quick find and beautiful place! TFTC!
Out for a late afternoon stroll from where we are house sitting nearby. A lovely area for a walk, we walked thru to Gordon St then 'home' via the shops. Thanks for bringing us to this lovely area. Cute cache. SL TFTC
Lots of council path building going on at GZ.... I wonder if cache has been muggled ?
We were spending this weekend up the north coast, today we went on a caching spree for a couple of hours in the port area.
The coordinate were worked out very quickly, and after a nice stroll along the paths, no one was laughing at us today as we found the little guy. The log needs replacing as it has become wet.

Made the full walk around the creek and did this 1 on the way, TFTC. Side Note Log Book is very wet. Only just could sign it.
Certainly a different sort of bridge
With the answers to paw, I set off along the trail to track down GZ.
Lots of places to look, but very few hiding places
With the clock ticking past 15 minutes of aimless poking about, I finally spied something
A cache !!!!

Another of the caches we found in March while on a holiday at Flynn's Beach, but didn't get around to logging. TFTC.
Found while in the area. Nice to have a multi with good coordinates.
Cache dry enough to sign, tho could do with a bit of drying (we all need some sunshine!)

We came at this from the wrong direction so we had to backtrack but it's such an enjoyable bike ride it didn't matter ... and we got shown a koala near WP1 by a passing muggle kid. TFTC lightsaberlodge.
Using my iPhone I had several attempts at this one but tree cover didn't let me get close to it. After Santa delivered my GPSr I was able to go straight to it. Love the container! I was also met with a symphony from the kookaburras while I was looking around for the cache..very fitting! TFTC
I don't recommend using an iPhone for this one, overhead cover keeps bouncing the signal. Will try again after I get my Magellan up and running on Xmas morning!
Went out today to do a few more of the caches around Port Macquarie. Such a pleasure caching around this scenic location - will go out again tomorrow to get a few more before heading off on Thursday.
Thanks to lightsaberlodge.

on a cache run today, we stopped off and replaced log. will need to upgrade container in the near future. need a suitable replacement
Found it with MossAU & LonelyRA whilst out doing some caches and dropping of tackables!

Back in Port for another day of getting caches
1111 GAFF3 Noted the new log sheet, but it is still suffering from being damp. Not enough sunshine to dry it out. Able to write on it with care.
Had been around the Kooloonbung Creek walk quite a few times when living here. (Even cycled it a few)
Trackable shirt thru.

We have done the shorter Kooloonbung Creek walk many times, so this was the 1st time we've done this section. Its a very pleasant walk. Found the Gum Tree Comedian in his little hide, great idea.
