Finally! After three visits I can now claim the smiley and pick up a bit of unlove whilst I was at it. It is such a great feeling to avenge a DNF. I don’t know how I missed it last time.

Thank you GJMMelb for placing and maintaining Have you seen a cache today? Wetlands Walk for us to find today.

*Cache find # 13397.*

This one was nearby to where I was so I decided to have a look but I was a bit concerned with the last log as to whether I was going to be able to complete this one.
I headed to the start and started looking around but I wasn’t seeing anything, I checked where I should be and moved to a different spot which was the best thing as I ended up finding what I was looking for.
Moving onto the next waypoint, I didn’t have any trouble here as the information was found quickly, now on to GZ.
Once I arrived at GZ, I was onto the hide quickly, the cache was found and the Log was stamped, I then headed back to the car.

**Thanks to GJMMelb for placing this cache.**

27-Sep-22
This was an interesting journey. I arrived at WP1 and began the search for the next clue. The area was overgrown and I struggled to locate the information required. After looking for a while I came up empty handed. The information may have been tucked away but it did not jump out at me today.

I instead engaged my puzzle solving skills and tried to think what journey the CO would want me to take? Using multiple snippets of information from the cache I took a wander, in the hope I might spot the cache. Sure enough I managed to piece enough together which led me look I two spots. The first didn’t bare fruit, but when I stumbled on the second it met the brief and sure enough, there was the cache.

It wasn’t the original way the CO had intended me to find the cache, but I have to say I quite enjoyed this alternative challenge

Thanks GJMMelb for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to find.

Thanks for this! Was fun. WP1 was slightly water damaged but readable.

20-Aug-22
Out on a caching afternoon , restricted to our LGA because mister was on call, we set off to find one of our remaining unfounded caches near to homebase. The first two way points were found easily enough but not so easily for the final. Nevertheless found safe and sound with a couple of natural additions

06-Jul-22
I thought today I would avenge my DNF but alas it was not meant to be. I did get further than last time by locating WP2. That was a sneaky hidden film canister! GZ alluded me today. I went around that tree so many times, I poked, prodded, moved bark but came up empty handed. Double blue sad face

20-Jan-22
This was a lovely simple multi which took me on a pretty walk around the wetlands here. The cache was found quickly and easily at the final GZ.

18-Dec-21
Popped back over to this neck of the woods as I continue filling out my multi calendar and was led in a little back and forth exercise at this bit of bushland. The first WP took me a little while to cotton onto what I needed to be looking for and indeed which spot to scrutinise but once the container was found it was smoothing sailing all the way to the final.

09-Nov-21
Checked on this cache today. All 3WP including the final are there. The actual cache was visible on approach so we covered with bark. The co-ords at WP1 are a bit hard to read so we will replace but readable enough that it doesn’t need disabling.

26-Sep-21
All good until the last bit, previous logs didn’t give much hope, had a bit of a dig around gz but no luck!

16-Sep-21
Found WP1 and WP2 but didn’t have any luck at GZ. we will be back!

09-Jul-21
It was all going well until WP2. No luck here today.

Out and about today with beckNmonts, Manfred Wolfgang and perpetuallylost who was visiting from the country. A beautiful day, perfect for some adventure labs as well as a whole lot of caches.

A nice spot for a multi although the signage in regards to Manfred and weather he was allowed was a little confusing.

Cache was found in A1 condition.

Thanks to GJMMelb for the cache.

January had been a big month of Multis for me as I had chased down qualification for the **Multicache Month Challenge Cache**. Having hit my target back on January 26th, I decided to finish the month as I had started... with another Multicache.

This cache was a pleasant late-afternoon stroll... although it nearly ended at Waypoint 2. The angle of the sun was such that the Waypoint container was well shaded and it took me ages to find... I must have looked at it tow or three times before I actually *saw it!*

Thanks GJMMelb for another pleasant Multi...

I had tried for this cache a few months ago, when Crusty K9 and I were walking in the area. We searched thoroughly at GZ, without success.
Today Mrs CV wanted to go for a drive, so I suggested this track. We enjoyed our walk, although it was quite busy with other walkers, and cyclists zipping along. While the others found a place for Sook to have a splash, I went to GZ and found the container instantly. It is in perfect condition.
I don't like returning to my DNF sites, as I feel half defeated before I start. Today was great.
Thanks for the fun GJMMelb. I appreciate the effort you have put in, for our enjoyment.

In the area after finishing work early, was a little worried about the thunder and lighting but, love a Melbourne summer. I remember starting this multi way back when good old Happy pants was my caching buddy but know it's just me.
After a short walk in the rain I had the log stamped.
Cheers GJMMelb

Wot with COVID and WP1 issues, this had been unloved for a year, and feeling that we’d all suffered enough this year I set out this afternoon to rectify it. WP2 and its mounds of bark were the only issue, but after scratching around like a demented lyrebird for a good while, I noticed the hide where the bark was probably never that dense anyway. Then it was off to GZ and a quick find. Thanks GJMMelb

Cache visited and maintained as part of our exercise for 27/10. WP1 was indeed missing and is now replaced. Rest all good. Cache is all good to go at midnight tonight!! Smile

After looking at various trees for ages! And got a hint from another cache who had found it previously we finally just about gave up after poking around in the debris and I walked away just as day1976 said 'there it is!' I had semi uncovered it but it was very grubby so I didn't see it

10-Mar-19
Finally finally found it.

Ilukaperi and I had no issues with the first 2 WPs.

But then the final.

Side note: it rained on me! I got wet.
Also, the koala log book is missing.

Waited until after lunchtime today until the much-needed rains had passed. Did a couple of the other caches along the way really enjoyed this beautiful scenic walk. Had to double back a couple times to find this one because I didn’t pick up the waypoint details at number one but managed to find each container quite well hidden. No koalaS spotted today unfortunately and I found the last container very muddy on the outside but nice and clean on the inside.thanks for the search. Fav point Smile

25-Jun-18
Out with au.fait, we walked the beautiful wetlands of Mullum Mullum, listening to the bird calls, and collecting information. I loved the ingenious WP1 which led us on to WP2.
Thanks for bringing me back to such a peaceful place GJMMelb

25-Jun-18
After collecting the solved puzzles on our list earlier in the day echidna44 and I continued to hunt for little plastic containers. We enjoyed our walk here and liked the variety in the way the clues were hidden. TFTC GMJMELB

Thankfully there was no breeze as it was definitely cold and it is early afternoon. Found everything needed and then the cache was also located. Thanks for the cache and showing us this lovely area.

First found log for 2018.

The geodog and I had a lovely pre-dawn walk in the dark along the Mullum trail. He was a bit overwhelmed by the kangaroos standing motionless in the gloom - very exciting!

No sign of a koala sign at WP1, but the box etc was all still there and we were soon heading to WP2. This followed a nice bitumen path now. In amongst the wet bark I was very surprised to quickly find the container, especially as it was only just light. Maybe the torchlight helped it pop out.

Back to the trail and at GZ I was struggling with the tree cover and clouds to get a solid fix on the coordinates. How close to the creek did I need to go? How covered was the container? In the end I dug more deeply in a spot I’d returned to a few times (a spade might have been handy) and in amongst the bark was the great little tactix box (I’m really liking these containers).

Sat on a handy bench to sign the logbook. Even though the outside had a good layer of dirt, the inside was in pristine condition!

TFTC GJMMelb - really enjoyed this one (my first multi finding sets of coordinates). If I could award favourite points, this would certainly get one

06-May-18
Checked on cache today, it was still there, it was under a lot of tree debris, cleared a lot of it away so it's nearer the surface lol Smile

05-Apr-18
Will check next week, away till Sunday

04-Apr-18
On holiday with the family (Barking Bron & Super O) doing a tour from Sydney along the coast to Melbourne and on to Adelaide.

Found the first two stages without any trouble, but after a 20 minute search at the final location I had to admit defeat here. A real shame as this would have been my first multi in Australia.

09-Dec-17
Back home in Melbs this weekend. I had a shot at this one a couple of weeks ago, a bit of a challenge with WP2. Knowing I was coming back this weekend, I msg the CO for an extra hint, but as it turns out cords were good and I had no problem. WP2 container is in a good spot, nicely camo’d but shouldn’t be difficult for the geo eye... At the final waypoint container was found pretty quickly, again nicely camo’d. Great container and a nice new very clean and dry log. TFTC GJMMelb a fav for the variety. #481

I've been meaning to complete this one for an absurdly long time. It's some 16 months since I first walked up this creek and it's astonishing that it was the multi (the best cache category) that I neglected on that occasion.

I was interested to see that flood damage may have *improved* this multi: physical waypoints are always appreciated. Smile WP1 was dealt with quickly. I had more trouble at WP2. Upon finding myself having to loiter more than a few seconds in the broad vicinity of busy, erm, equipment I ̶i̶m̶m̶e̶d̶i̶a̶t̶e̶l̶y̶ ̶a̶b̶a̶n̶d̶o̶n̶e̶d̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶m̶u̶l̶t̶i̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶p̶u̶t̶ ̶i̶t̶ ̶o̶n̶ ̶m̶y̶ ̶b̶l̶a̶c̶k̶l̶i̶s̶t̶ took a further stroll to check my data entry and, hopefully, allow potential spectators time to disperse. Happily all was was quiet a few minutes later and I spied what I needed to spy. The luvly shiny new cache was found quite quickly a short time later! Very nice. Thanks for yet another groovy cache, GJMMelb!

Entire cache final replaced Smile

Great cache and clues. Cache was full of water, have tried to dry it out as much as possible before replacing. TFTC!

Out for a walk remembered half way to reynolds road about a multi so turned back stage 1 and 2 walk in the park. Stage 3 no so but it is there nicely camo. Tftc today

15-Jan-17
disabling till we can check it out... it has washed away once before in 2011 so may have again!

14-Jan-17
Found WP1 and 2 with no great issues, although as others have mentioned the koala log book is long gone. Note also the path opposite WP1 has been bitumen for a long time now so feel free to change the description.

Couldn't find the cache at WP3 though after a loooong look. There has been a ton of rain lately, including that flash flood storm just after Xmas, so not sure if it's washed away. If there's a 1L Systema container hiding here (and assuming I'm looking at the right tree), then I must be going blind.

Thanks for the multi and the series, will come back sometime and look again.

02-Nov-16
Continuing my peaceful walk along the Mullum Mullum Creek Trail.
I am always wary about multis in parks as I am never sure how far I will be required to walk but this short walk around the wetlands was very pleasant. I collected the required information at the two waypoints and made my way to GZ. Luckily there were only a few muggles on the trail today as it took me 15 minutes of searching before I was able to locate the cache. I emptied a small amount of water from the cache but the log book and contents are unharmed.
Thank you GJMMelb for this interesting little multi.

29-Oct-16
It's a beautiful sunny day today but not many people out and about. I was able to find all waypoints undisturbed and found the cache safe and sound, thanks

02-Oct-16
On this lovely, sunny afternoon, we decided to take a gentle stroll down the Mullum Mullum, determined to find this cache that we had passed on many occasions... Even though the cache hadn't been found since April, we were still optimistic and adamant we were going to find the container. We arrived at WP1 (the koala book is long gone), retrieved the coords, and made our way to WP2 and after some digging around, retrieved the final coords. We've walked around this area so many times, and never realised there was a lake behind the path!! Anyway, we arrived at the final coords and bark was everywhere, grass overgrown, and no obvious path. We did some hard-core bush bashing and searched around for about 15mins, until we finally made the find!!! We were relieved! Signed the log and walked away with a few bruises and scratches- it was all worth it though. The container was very wet and the container was quite buried- but log all OK. Thanks GJMMelb for the hide and for a eventful afternoon. Smile

14-Apr-16
We had lunch in the nearby Currawong Park then made our way to waypoint 1. The box on the pole mentioned in the description no longer has a sign or log book. However, we found the coordinates of waypoint 2 and returned the way we had come. A short search revealed the container with the coordinates and we then headed to GZ. We soon found the container and where able SL. TFTC

02-Feb-16
Found first waypoint but didnt seem to find the second one as it was a very very hot day and snakes could have been anywhere... thanks anyways

23-Jan-16
Suscoe was out early today to wander about this area of Melbourne in search of caches of all types.
The day started out quite drizzly and later on it became sunny.
Traffic was light on most roads which was appreciated.
We headed off into the mirky drizzle this morning and sort of enjoyed a soggy walk to the listed co-ords.
Found what we needed, then at the next waypoint we again found the info in the well hidden container.
Then at the final we took a little longer than expected.
Finally the right thing was shifted and there it was.
Log signed and a quick dash back to the car and the dry insides.
Thanks to GJMMelb for placing this multi in this interesting spot.
Apart from walkers there were not too many other creatures visible today.

01-Jan-16
A nice little walk to an area I also didn't know was here.

Thanks for taking me here. I didn't see any koalas, but i did see plenty of ducks though.

03-Oct-15
I loved the walk , but needed the hint to find WP2 and the cache.
Few frogs were calling on a warm afternoon, but Wood Ducks, Pacific Black Ducks, Purple Swamphens and Dusky Moorhens found my searching fascinating.

22-Aug-15
It was such a beautiful day so I just had to go out and grab a few caches. I made a good strt by quickly getting the coordinates at WP1, however even after a thorough search I could not find the container at WP2.

05-Jul-15
Disposed of extra South co-ords and rehid the others as they were originally hidden Smile

28-May-15
silly me spend to long on this one today, I found WP1 with only 2 co-ordinates for south so I only changed that, I was close to the dam searching for a while It wasn't until I wanted to double check on my way back to the car, I found East sitting upside down in a blind spot, this time I had luck and was able to find WP3 with ease,

a fresh and clean log ready to sign,

thanks GJMMelb [:x]

18-Apr-15
Cache container cleaned and dried, log book and stash note replaced Smile

On the maintenance lust for over the school holidays

15-Nov-14
This was an enjoyable wander around the wetlands and a part of the Mullum Mullum Linear Park Trail that I haven't visited before. Everything flowed well, and with quick finds at each waypoint, I was soon at GZ and signing the log. The container was wet inside but the log is ok. I wiped out the container so hopefully the warmer weather will help it to stay dry.
This is a really pleasant location for a walk! Thanks to GJMMelb for the cache.

18-Aug-14
With spot on co-ord's the cache/s were straight forward to find and made for an all round enjoyable walk this afternoon even with the drizzle lightly falling. Another great area to visit that otherwise wouldn't be shown to us unless of geocaching. Many thanks GJMMelb for the cache, sadly no koalas were spotted today.

19-Jul-14
Started this last Monday , picking up the clues to the final , however my Dyslexia kicked in and I was in the suburbs nearby with a viable GZ in an easement behind some houses , but no cache there. Went home and reviewed some logs which said something about being close to water, hmmm, luckily I took photos of the clues and soon saw the error of my ways. Today on a bike ride to pick up a few caches I stopped by the real Gz and found the well hidden cache , thanks for the multi Smile

19-Jul-14
MasterIschi and Arthur and Dent went on another, again time shorter, cache run. We collected ten or so caches. The baluke series was finished and we collected some more along the Mullum Mullum Creek. We send a TFTC to all cache owners.

no koala, no roo today ...

Found this one today. I had previously looked for this one and must have had cache blindness that day as I walked up to this one and it was in the third place that I looked today. Signed log but didn't swap anything. On the way back to the car I saw a neat carving of a platypus mother with babies between wp1 and the final cache which was neat and then saw a family of 3 kangaroos nearby. So a neat day for seeing different things.

Thanks for the cache GJMMelb.

06-Apr-14
Well this certainly was a long multi!!!

All of the stages were relatively simple though which made it a lot less time consuming.

Geoson knew where the first clues were going to be from twenty metres away so WP1 almost isn't worth mentioning for us Big Grin.

We nearly went down the wrong path to WP2 but took the right track after reading the description (that's always the way isn't it) and then once again geoson made the find at WP2.

The coordinates were put into the GPS which then pointed us into the water. After a suitable path was found we got to the cache.

At GZ it was a five minute search before geoson made the find (in fact looking back geoson found everything today).

TNLN SL TFTC GJMMelb- unfortunately no solve on Galahs so no find.

Easy to do multi, weather cool so this made it easy and enjoyable to do.
Did not see any Koalas, just as well as there was no forms to fill in any way.

Today is my 2nd attempt. I am at lost, previous logger mentioned it was buried in mud due to rain. Gz is about 15-20 meters away from the bilibong on a slope with big boulders running down. The river is way away on the opposite side of the trail. Unless my gps is crook l ended up on the same gz second time around..a tree.

03-Nov-13
While out picking up a nearby puzzle "we" had solved we decided since we were going for a walk anyway to try this one. At the start geokid found the numbers straight away so off we headed and found the next WP quite easily as well.
Got to GZ and walked past where we had recently been scaring a few carp in the river with a few well placed thrown rocks here and there.
Weren't sure we were going to find it with a recent DNF and signs people had been searching as well. TurnerFamilyFTG had it in seconds though even before I had finished counting down the metres to go on the GPS. TFTC, the nice walk and the opportunity to throw some rocks at the carp. Smile
NOTE: No animals were harmed in this expedition.

03-Nov-13
After picking up a nearby cache Spiffy- and I decided to try this one. I have lived in the area for 20 plus years and remember writing in the log book that I saw a Koala. Spiffy's geokid spied the WP1 numbers then off we went. Found cache and enjoyed the walk. TFTC.

Attempted this one today. Found WP1 and WP2 easily but couldn't find the final. It must be there - it was found 2 days ago! I will be back to finish it off.

Found at 15:46
A number of muggles in the area made this for a very long multi today. I had to do a number of laps as different walkers were making use of the area. The information was quickly found at the first two waypoints then I had to do one more lap with people at gz. (Thinking about it now, they could have been cachers.) Once they were gone, I ducked in for a bit of a search before uncovering the almost buried cache.
Thanks GJMMelb for the cache and a lovely walk around this spot.

25-Oct-13
Completed this multi today while out riding along the trail. The multi is working great, all the coordinates were in place and lead me to the final GZ.

The cache took me a long time to find. It looks like the river has risen not long ago and burried the cache under a lot of mud and trees. I nearly gave up on it when i decided to dig down and there it was. I drained the water out of the cache and signed the log book. The ziplock bag held up great. Log was nice and dry.

Cheers for the multi GJMMelb

I keyed in the coordinates it took me to a crt off Larnoo drive.
I did not stop on my bike gz is a tree on a private nature strip
and muggles working in the garden. I think the coordinates
are incorrect as the log mentioned next to river. Pls check.

Even though this one hasn't been found for a while I thought I would give it a go ... Couldn't find anything at WP1, not even sure what I was looming for! It was a nice walk on a sunny day and the frog song was awesome! Hope this one is still active as i would like to finish it.

The kids are back at school, so after a trip to the recyclers following a big cleanup, I ventured east in the drizzling rain to see where I'd end up.

Third multi for the day, and another walk by the Mullum Mullum Creek. I'd been within spitting distance of the beginning of this one during my first find of the day, but opted for dry feet.

Wow, I can't even imagine what enough water to wash away the log book at the first waypoint... scary. The trickily hidden coordinates were located nice and quickly on my second sweep, and the next set soon after. The cache itself took a little longer, as there were plenty of places at GZ that it could be, but that just meant that I could enjoy the amphibious chorus a little longer. Thanks for another great excuse for a walk.

After a party drop-off nearby, I decided that it was about time to try for this one. The glorious day simply sealed the deal so I was off to WP1 Smile. The sign at WP1 about the koalas has seen better days as most of it is now scattered around the base of the post and there was no book to be seen anywhere Surprised. The clues for the next point were fine though and I was soon on my way to WP2.

Despite the good coords at WP2, I confess to having a wee peek at the hint Red Face after which I was on my way to GZ.

After a lap or two of GZ, I was soon signing the logbook for its first find of 2013 Big Grin.

There were no koalies for me today but the very pleasant walk on this glorious day earns a fave point Big Grin.

TNLNSL, although our Happy New Year to the cache geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks GJMMelb.

With family and friends, we had 3 adults and nine kids, most on wheels (prams, scooter and bikes).

Out for a boxing day walk with the boys going fast on scooters. No sign of any wildlife but a well constructed multi with good co-ords. Thanks for the nice walk. SL Big Grin
