As there's been no cache to find for some time, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
Gave ourselves a short time limit here and didn't come up with the goods so will visit again next time we are passing through
I can't believe that I still can't find this one. This would be my sixth attempt and I know what I'm looking for but no luck. I give up....
Found at 2:21:00 p.m. on 13/02/2015.
A well worked cache in a great hiding spot.

Oh this one is nasty! Would have liked to spend a bit more time looking but after searching for about five minutes some workmen pulled up and started working just a few metres along the road. They look at us a bit suspiciously so we felt we should cut our search short. Will need to come back when next in the area.
THIS ONE IS GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Drawp : continue as you are doing! WE LOVED IT (after 1/2 hour... LOL)

Found this one finally! Got it on the way back home after a walk along the new trail towards Shingle Creek
We were hooked by this one, had to come back to deal with our nemesis. But this time, we came armed with a kind hint from the master fisherman himself. So it was going to be fast and simple, right? Um.
Well, thank goodness for that clue, because after much searching we found that the last person had taken a "catch and release" approach to the cache. So we needed appropriate fishing equipment - obtained by Mr D raiding a nearby recycling bin and making a home made device. Mr D spent some time casting, then The Rustle hooked the cache and reeled it in.
Returned the fishy object as it should be, and left in triumph to Horsepower and to find the waypoints for Friends. Thanks for the cache drawp!

I spent about 15 mins wandering around hopelessly so I enlisted the help of my caching Dad who found it almost instantly! (probably because we found one similar to this in Dunedin a few weeks ago)

On another run to Southland with a stop or two along the way. I'll be back!!!!!!!
grrrr once again I couldn't find it..... getting very frustrated at this one!!! will try again another day
Took a while but camp mother finally found this one as we all stood looking for something out of place! TFTC
Very clever hide, took us far longer than it should have, but good old Mr Cacher didn't give up on this one. TFTC
Thanks drawp for this great hide, brillant! found on a caching road trip with granville86a
Found first time! Tried to brush it off but found it was heavier than expected. Great hide. TFTC
Grrrr it's not very often that the two dakotacats and the two fluffyducks38 have to admit defeat. But this one got the better of us and after spending ages looking we had to give up. We will be back....
I think we must hold the record for the amount of times we looked and looked.
I just wish others would replace WITH CARE in the same place they found it.
Pleased to be able to tick that one off now.

Another wonderful day for a Guzzi Ride. This weekend we decided to head out towards Roxburgh. A clever little hide therefore it deserves one our favourite points. Third of ten finds today. Best hide today.
Found orginally as part of phasevisitor team, now created own account, re-logging as yorkshirekiwi83.
We are currently on holiday in Southland, visiting from Auckland, together with HOLE-IN-ONE2, who is visiting from the UK. We have just finished a challenge of 50 caches in one day which were all at least 1 km apart from each other. We were still a little way from Queenstown where we were staying for the night, so decided to find some caches in places on route. Clever hide, we stumbled on this quickly which was lucky. This nice made cache we have found on our today's trip from Dunedin to Alexandra. It took us some time, but then we saw something which turned out to be part of the cache.

Hmmm we searched high and low, in and out, but to no avail. Spent quite awhile here and even had the help of some local interest. There is some logical spots to check but we failed to locate. Grrr I hate to leave a cache un-found. We will be back for another look!
In a hurry, and searched for a bit, but haste and need to keep going meant this was abandoned after 10 minutes.
After arriving quite late into Alexandra last night and then being up until 2am logging and chatting it was a much slower start for the West Australians today.
Heading now towards Dunedin for the Mega.
An interesting, if not terrifying drive for us today. With the temperature getting down to 4degrees and being in a very windy stretch of road during 20minutes of hail it is a day we won't be forgetting in a hurry.
MM and Mrs Felix walked from the nearby cache to be collected by our Chauffeur.
On first inspection we split up at different levels. Nothing obvious appeared so we decided perhaps we should read the cache description and the size of the cache?
Once that was realised a swift find indeed was made by Mrs Felix!!
A fave for sure.... hmmm now is that for the cache or the fact that I found it before the others?? lol...
An interesting place for sure.

So this was Day Three of my NZ trip on route to the Mega Event.
We had a very slow start to the day, taking in breakfast at a local bakery
before collecting a few Caches in some very interesting locations around Alexandra.
Now on route to Dunedin we pulled off the main road to look at these tree caches around the lake.
This the final of three took a few moments to uncover, we chose different elevations.
and Mrs FELIX chose correctly.
Clever little hide.
Many thanks.

Had our hand on this several times, before we eventually investigated further. That lovely AHA moment. SL. TFTC.
After reading a few of the logs I was almost going to give this one a miss - it seemed a bit on the tricky side for me on my own. But in the end I decided to have a go and I found it almost immediately... sometimes the caching gods are on your side! TFTC - I haven't seen a hide quite like this before - very nicely done.
It took second to understand what the title referred to, but the description led us on.. It was here I realized that I had forgotten my flashlight i Curio Bay where we had stayed the night before..
Anyway.. not wanting to bow down to the challenge of this one, we went on, searching in any spot we could find, thinking a little out of the box too.. After a little while, I got an idea, and wow - there it was
Had this hide been made as I've seen it done in California, my trick for finding it wouldn't have worked. This one gets a point
Found at 19:04 - #2906 - with Alexesmann

Another good quick find on a geocaching holiday around the south island. A nicely hidden cache. SL TFTC
als took the gps up top and narrowed down the search area from there, and jfs soon spotted where it was..
55/155 in 5 days, found with wethreefourdices. TFTC
Thanks to a hint from OF we were able to return and find it and possibly just after another cache hunter

The 54th find of 150 in 5 days on road trip with Ingidayna. After a frustrating DNF the night before, we spoke with OF who gave us a hint, went back and there it was spotted straight away. TFTC
after recently meeting the lovely man cache named after, just had too come back. Vaque hint not too much help, but a hunch proved correct. Beaut cache. We drove past later to see a icecream slurpping family stop here, cachers ?, yip, 'cos we saw them later going to at another cache site. wonder if they found this puppy...they had 4 sets of eyes !
We took 7 minutes to find this craftily hidden cache, which just has to be a favourite. We had correctly identified the type of hiding place, and checked out a lot of them, including the right one, without finding the cache. TFTC
I would like to say that it was a quick find, and technically, on the day, it was BUT this wasn't the first time I had tried to find it. We did have a bit of help today and when we seen the important part of the cache, there was a collective groan! An awesome hide, so worthy of it's namesake. TFTC drawp, this ones a beauty. [^]

This cunning wee hide proved a bit of a challenge but co-ords were spot on and I was pleased I persisted, how the heck didn't I spot that earlier?

Aha! Had a fortifying lunch in our camper, got the nearby cache, and had to come back.
This time found it almost instantly - such a relief . Excellent cache.

Had a long look, but were frustrated. I'll have to ask the owner to put us out of our misery!
Tried to find this one earlier with granville and rextrex, but we were unsuccessful. A subtle clue from On slow and I walked straight up to GZ and found it .... unbelievable! TFTC - I love it's cruelness!
Heh - nice hide. Once I saw GZ, I had a fair idea where it would be hidden. Just needed to be narrowed down to have success. Cheers Gav [10074]
Such a simple hide but even three experienced cachers (Bladesedge, Rextrex, and Me) could not locate this cache until a kind local gave us a small clue and then bingo. AARRRGH!!
Found with bladesedge & granville86a, accompanied by OF & Mrs OF after the post event dinner.
A very clever hide, amazing..... Really couldn't say that I'd have found it by myself. TFC.

A clever hide that Mrs KE soon spotted while I wandered aimlessly up and down. Thanks.
Found at last after 3 previous visits and a broad hint by Pipedream. 25th and final find on a great weekend drive up to Tekapo for the round Tekapo Bike race.
Found it. Third fine for the day. Nice hide took awhile. Heading to Dunedin

Certainly is a gorgeous rock. Can think of a very appropriate sort of hide for OF- but didn't spot it before we started to get too cold. Hmm...
spent about 30 mins looking, were running out of time so decided to move on. will be back to conquer
Climb every mountain, well every rock anyway, I certainly did until the penny dropped. Clever hide (well I thought that after I had signed the log)
Thanks

Was trying to find this cache when we firstly got muggled by the local council worker who was letting some water out of the main water pipes, had a quick chat and he was on his way. Then the local UFO (Ultimate Friendly Obstruction) what we call muggle, came over to see what we were doing so we explained and they want us to come in for a cup of tea I think that everyday we are getting asked if we would like to come in for a cup of tea and a freshly baked cake, must accept one day, then carried on explaining to us about the backpackers that stayed with them, as they were only charging $12 per night, cheap accommodation. After a bit of interrupted search we gave up and were on our way as we had a more demanding mission to attempt - a drive to Onlow Lake. Oh well will be back, hard to find cache especially at muggle central, nice muggles though, just watch out as they keep telling us about an older gentleman who keeps turning up here looking for this one. Maybe better luck next time.
Had a wee look but couldn't see it unfortunately. Must be a clever hide. Ran out of time
That was a tricky little hide, Krys had her hand right over the cache and didn't find anything but Shan spotted something not quite right about it and there it was! This was one of our favourites of the day, a very clever hide. TFTC
What a great hide, made the brains work overtime. If it wasn't for kryshan we could still have been looking. Our favourite for the day.
