What a great place to stop and have lunch. Then we headed out to the car and found our smile at the same time.
Visiting South East Queensland for a week from Port Macquarie. Today we ventured out towards Tamborine Mountain before finishing the afternoon around the Southport area. After a chilly morning, the afternoon warmth was very welcome and made for a rather pleasant day of caching. Cool little location, quite liked the double decker out the front. Managed a quick find with spot on coords. Thanks for the cache
Friends brought us out to this English pub from the Gold Coast for dinner and could not resist this cache. Kutgw
Our family brought us here for dinner and what an experience we had!! I highly recommend this place to anyone!! It was awesome food and everywhere you looked there was something cool to look at. There was such a potential for a great cache here which I think the owners would probably fully support. The cache here however, which we notice while waiting for our dinner to arrive, was simple to find. Tftc!!!
A great place for lunch after a visit to the mountain. Found the cache and we're on our way. TFTC
TFTC! Found with my daughter, Charlotte, on the way back from a Tamborine Mountain trip.
Muggle-hubby and I have just been to Mount Tamborine Distillery for a 'tasting'. My goodness, there are some 'interesting' flavours. On the way back down the mountain, I convinced Muggle-hubby to stop for a minute so that I could make the quick find here.Knowing we were coming to Mount Tamborine, I had a look at my maps and realised that I didn't have a cache in either that area or this one, so the quick stop was in order. A busy location, but the cache was found quickly, after unsuccessfully turning up some rocks. I did find an old fuel can (I think), but after trying and failing to get it open, I realised it wasn't the cache. The cache was located safe and sound in its hidey hole. I signed the log sheet, returned it as found and we continued on our journey. Thanks, Aussie Liahona, for the placement
WE took a drive with NobbysNuts to have lunch at the Fox and Hound. It was a lovely lunch and then we couldn't leave without checking out the cache. It didn't take long before I stumbled on the cache. Thanks for the excuse to stop here for lunch, Aussie Liahona
We were with NobbysNuts for a lovely lunch and then strolled to this nearby cache before we left.I stood back and the guys did the searching, TFTC Aussie Liahona
Today we dressed up in woolie jumpers and treated ourselves to Christmas dinner at the fox and hound pub. This was extra special as it was officially 1 month since our daughters birth and my mum was here from England. Perfect excuse to get some caches in while up the mountain. TFTC ??
Enjoyed a great July Christmas lunch at the fox & Hounds. Just a little walk to find this one
Took the KG kids out to do some caching now the 12yo has a caching bag of tricks. Took a while but she deciphered the clues and came up with the goods!
Wahoo Sunday lunch with memories of my former life, and a cache taboot. With a full tummy and a pen in hand happily sat and turned over the magic stone. Signed and returned Tftc
The Esky family went to Tamborine for a short getaway. Today it was time to head to the Gold Coast for an appointment before returning home to Toowoomba. After having breakfast we headed down the hill grabbing a few select caches on the way. TFTC Aussie Liahona.
The pub was pretty popular this afternoon. I spotted the container out in the open on approach and left it with more camo. Thanks for the cache
Down at Surfers Paradise celebrating geowifes birthday. Decided to venture to Mount Tambourine to do some caching. First for the day, definitely a favourite.TYFTC.
Mrs Woodyrothwell was nursing a busted shoulder so I knew I was not going to be counting on her assistance, or so I thought. From the passenger seat she told me where to look because she could see something suspicious.
She went straight back to her Instagramming whilst I jumped out of the car to indulge her whim. Of course the cache was exactly where she said it would be and I soon realised that I didn’t need her help today as long as I could park close enough to GZ. tftc

First to find…… in 2022
We had earmarked a couple of the caches at the top of the mountain when a pair of friends we were visiting asked if we wanted to have lunch at the Fox and Hound. Natural answer being hell yes, why wouldn’t we want to go to and English/Scottish pub.
We get to nearly on top of it and I figure while the missus is gas bagging I’ll quickly check and see how far we are from the top and blow me down I’m practically standing on a big green dot.
Quick check of the comments.
Quick check on the hint.
Eyeball the young fella mowing the lawn on the other side and wait till he’s headed off in the other direction.
Quick lunge for the rock I reckon it’s under, and there it is.
The missus shows up to take a photo of the triumphant hunter and I sign and replace it as quick as I can.
Now let’s see what the pub has to offer.

Out for a Xmas day observed dinner. A quick grab here before heading inside for a pint. All is well with the cache. TFTH
Attending a murder mystery themed birthday party at the Fox n Hound. Quick find. TFTC.
It was Sandra's 50th birthday today (happy birthday sweetie) so we joined family members at the Fox & Hounds Country Inn for dinner and a catch up. What a fantastic place, with great food and loads of interesting nick knacks from back home all over the place to catch the eye. Spotted a scarf for my football team proudly displayed in front of a model spitfire.
This was a easy find with the geomonsters.
Thanks!!

First find for the day while out with PirateLinda and 2manytrailers... an easy find that required a u-turn to collect... tftc...
Wonderful area to explore great placement and interesting road. Thanks Aussie Liahona
Last year I was visiting this pub every four weeks for a couple of months. Which raises the question of why the heck didn't I find this geocache then? I literally drove within a metre of it half a dozen times! I sure don't know why.
But today I was on a bit of a mission to collect Aussie Liahona geocaches and this was the farthest up the hill of a little cluster of them. And notably quite an older hide too. I remember it getting mentioned at an event *somewhere* many years ago. Though, I can't recall why.
The steepness of the road was interesting. Not wanting to park in the establishment, I pulled up just above GZ and learned that on such a slope my relatively new car needs a healthy dose of the handbrake to not roll.
Onto the geocache and I poked about a few possible holes that matched the hint and could thankfully be out of sight of most folks. And I found it tucked away; possibly the most *loved-looking* sistema I've seen in ages. Man, rocks really don't hesitate to scratch!
I was doing what needed to be done when there was a bunch of action inside, so I hastily packed up and left (but did make sure the geocache was hidden away again). And that was that, another find and now to head back down the hill for some more smilies. Thanks for this geocache, Aussie Liahona

Had a nice meal and cold beer at the Fox & Hound and grabbed a cache while we were here.
