We understood the hint after finding the cache, but it was very exposed so easy to find. We covered it up in a typical caching fashion for the next cachers!
Suscoe headed to Raymond Island today for some caching fun.We enjoyed the short trip on the ferry and the very pleasant wander around the island. We met quite a few tourists, an occasional koala and a few wallabies, not to mention water birds galore. It was great wandering about. Thanks to gwd.aussie for this hide. We enjoyed a walk along the beach.
We fell in love with Raymond Island and thoroughly enjoyed travelling around it. We hope to come back and spend even more time here.Had no idea what to look for until I arrived at the jetty - doh! Soon had the cache in hand .THanks for the fun gwd>aussie
#6507.We parked our cache mobile and took a walk through the lovely forest to get to this cache. Once at gz, it was a quick find. On our way back we spotted a koala very close to the ground. It posed for a few photos and then we were off again. FP Awarded. TFTC!We are on the road again. This time on our way back home after a wonderful holiday break in the Heyfield area. We decided to leave a bit earlier, aiming to spend some time on Raymond Island after numerous friends recommended a visit. The ferry ride was a first for us as a family and we really enjoyed the experience. Then we set off to find some caches, and of course some koalas. We found most of the caches and plenty of Koalas and this island has definitely been a highlight of our trip.
We didnt do any doodling today. We were just happy to find this cache. There is a fair amount of storm damage at GZ but cache is still very much intact.TFTC
On a road trip to attend Capital Geobash Mega and see many different sights along the way. Today we decided to catch the ferry across to Raymond Island for a look around. So glad we did. What a lovely spot. Thanks gwd.aussie for creating for us all to enjoy. Love the variety of locations here. Cache quickly found in good condition. ...................................................Are you ready to nominate in the **2023 Victorian Cache of the Year Awards**? Check out the 2023 geocaching lists [available here](https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/information/great-caching-lists/) to get a head start and find some of the great new caches. Nominations will open early 2024.
Still road tripping the east and caching too with Jack and Purrfect Di. Down closer to sea level now! Joined in the fun and sketched us all sitting on the beach watching the fog and rain come across the water!!! Summer is weird in these parts Thank you gwd.aussie for this cache hide and ongoing care and maintenance ---------------- ----------------------In a dangerous world filled with rusty old mint tins and solid caches falling from trees - - - a cache a day keeps us agile... sort of --------Caches are logged using the resources of gsak, garmin, and androids, occasionally AI too! (And a little rubber stamp ) Work gets in the way - and some may take longer to log than others due to mixed technology and need for sleep! The skill and talent of some Zenior Zombies helps, and maybe a spot of luck too [:o)]----------Cache carefully and make sure Travel Bugs are the Only bugs you share and pass on Clean as you go and cache the countryside Big thanks to those placing quality caches out and about around our country areas, in nice safe places and containers especially! - it keeps our game fun for all Of course we do appreciate if you actually did read all this extra addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere out there, or so we've been told! You win a virtual smiley for the effort and getting to the end of the log Maybe if I worked out where it is I could do it and go back to normal logs again ! If you find the challenge let me know and perhaps we can put an end to these long logs !!! Maybe not though - as someone actually did read to the end and alerted me to just a project GC badge that requires long logs [:o)] Well at least it's not as bad as finding a mint tin! Did you get that... stop putting out rusty mint tins, just stop it, now!!! C'est fini... For now... ... until tomorrow! Viva Mexicana ! PS:---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------GCA1DNA - Great Leap Forward ... or is it backward... it takes an extra day to get to March 29.2.24 The Mega Leap Event of the year. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------And don't forget to put the June Long Weekend in your diary for 2024 too... fun and funky finds

Excited to be on a family holiday and caching with my family, my Mum heymissjo, plus The Welder, Ge0Bug, Dark minion and Dallas. Thanks for the cache
#1772Out and about as part of our family holiday staying at Lakes Entrance with The Welder, GeoBug, Ge0_Ninja, Dallas and Dark Minion and collecting caches as we go. Signing in as team heymisswelder6 (HMW6) Such a picturesque place for a cache, away from everyone. Except my noisy kids lol! Perfect sunny spring day where the younger boys liked to scour the shells and collect the feathers on offer. We were impressed as we walked over the nearby jetty to see a school of tens of thousands of fish! We thought initially it was seaweed, but no! Ps love what you did with the log book but after iTEEMs entry. Well left it to my daughter to do on behalf of all of us! A favourite from me! ----------------------------------------------------------Voting is also now open for the 2022 Victorian Cache of the Year Awards. Due to unforeseen circumstances Mr Smokey Bear will no longer be a part of Team Smokey Bear and will continue his adventures as "SmokeyBearOG".
So I'm relogging all previous finds under my new account.
Unfortunately this log will not show the original logging date.

What a great idea. Lots of people around with 2 boats enjoying the beach and a few cars. Took in the view and enjoyed a swim
A trip to check out all the awesome places in eastern Victoria. TFTC.
Excellent secluded location. Drive in was very overgrown but that keeps it more private.

Found after a brief search. Drew a smiley I. The book. That’s about it for my art skills!
Found with geosense as distance was going up as we walked towards it. Here's my art impression of Geocaching.
After enjoying the serenity and short walk to the cache l quickly noticed where l reckon it is and my garmin gadget took me straight to it added my signature and made my way back to the geo-mobile, certainly a wonderful area.. TFTC
Find # 10731
Found while travelling with sharkiefan, on an extended long weekend.
Today we headed east from Sale to cache on Raymond Island with the Koalas and then drive out along the Mitchell River Silt Jetties.
Another interesting day but this one will take some beating.
2 Ferry rides, half a dozen koalas, some cool letterboxes, a great drive around an island, lookout views over Jones Bay, chatting with the odd fisherman along Rivermouth Rd and poor old Milo, the dog, that just loves Rabbit poo.
We walked in from the closest trad as the track looked a little too wet for the 2WD. But it was well worth it. A GZ it took a but for the Phones to settle in on a spot, but the the obvious showed us the hide.

Found with FUF009.
A really different day of caching for us. Involving a ferry, an island and a silt jetty. Usually we see wallabies and the odd bluey but today was all about the koala with the odd kanga.
I had a blast.
This was my favourite part of the island hands down. Tftc

Spending some time on the island and I finally convinced my geokids to go caching. Well not convinced as such, did a picnic lunch and then a walk and found myself within 30 metres of the cache before saying, 'anyone want to find a cache?' Well I convinced them and then they saw the cache idea and loved it. This was a definite favourite for me and loved adding our names and drawings as we sat on the bench staring out over the water.
Thanks for a great cache in a great condition in a great location
P.S. Walk in from the East as Gravelly Point Rd was closed when we went past.

The work year has finished, so it’s time to head off on another road trip - to explore ‘The Pointy End’.
DAY FOUR: Raymond Island, Paynesville, Eagle Point.
RoamingHowie quickly spotted the nice sized cache while my gpsr was spinning around in circles.
Strange place for a new jetty, but a lovely spot for a picnic lunch.
Thanks for bringing us here today by placing this cache, gwd.aussie

Day 4 of the Bring In The New Year (BITNY) road-trip. Now settled on Bairnsdale and after an early morning wake up by the cockatoos it was off to explore Raymond Island and Paynesville.
We drove out to this unexpected jetty and took a short walk to the hide.
Thanks gwd.aussie for placing this gamepiece in the wild for us to find.

The mozzies were very very hungry. Geodaughter did a quick sketch and we got out of there. Did see a couple of sea eagles swooping overhead. TFTC
Final day in the island and so picked up these last few with the car before the light faded, having done the rest of them on foot days earlier. A clean sweep of smilies for us. Groaned when I saw the requirement to draw something. I failed art from preschool onwards - even my stick people don't look like stick people. So drew a kindergarten standard outline of a house before the mossies threatened to carry me off.
Thanks gwd.aussie.
Thanks gwd.aussie.
Out bike caching this morning while the rest of the family slept in.
I'm no artist, but in the absence of artistic daughter, I did my best to construct a sketch that represents my combined relaxing pastimes of cycling, caching, and visiting scenic places.
This spot ticked all the boxes.
Also dropped a TB to rest before continuing his travels.

Our apologies for the delay in posting our log. Things have got a little out of hand recently & the backlog has become rather more of a "log jam".
Our thanks to She Me & the Dog for placing this cache for us to find (or occasionally not) on 02/08/2018. Further details (for earthcaches & the like) will be supplied to the CO once the jam has cleared.

Made the trip over to Raymond Island, with the idea of getting a few of the caches there. The longer we were there the more the rain threatened, until it eventually broke into misty showers, making a dismal day.
Thanks to the CO of this series, we enjoyed our visit here and finding your cache/s.

Out for a very welcome impromptu visit to Raymond Island with BigrobV today. I was so excited as we have been wanting to get here for ages! We decided to bring our bikes along to try and complete the island, we ended up riding 21kms today! I loved this cache, the size, the out of the way placement, the calm sounds of the lapping water while I sketched my....ahem....artwork. I am ashamed to say I studied art in school but sadly I didn’t have a lot of time to devote to my artwork today. However I did love the idea so much that I wanted to scribble down something! Thanks for an awesome cache, I took nothing but left a favourite point for a great cache in a beautiful location
Out for a semi last minute trip to Raymond Island with NoonaB for a caching trip on bikes, we have been wanting to get down here for ages and finally today was the day.
This is an awesome cache, i love the area and i love the cache, what an awesome idea, it was great to look through the pictures people have drawn, and of course my very talented caching partner added a picture she drew herself
Thanks for the hide, and released a trackable into this cache

The Raymond Island Ferry will be out of service for three weeks in October
as it undergoes its major two-yearly routine maintenance.
The ferry will be out of service from October 9 to 30 of 2017
A pedestrian water taxi will pick up and drop off passengers
between the jetty near the Raymond Island ferry terminal, Slip Road boat ramp, and Paynesville CBD.
So walking to this cache is the only option (without knowing a local or some planning ahead of time)

Not too sure about the actual art of geocaching, we love the game and will continue to play as long as our mental and physical facilties allow!

After the event in Bairnsdale, we decided to head over to Raymond Island and find some Koalas, and some caches. Lovely walk to this one. The heat of the day (unseasonably 32 degrees today) had subsided and the wind had died down. Great to find an ammo can in the wild! Favourite point added. Thanks for the cache gwd.aussie.

Certainly is the Art of Caching. Perfect location, perfect time of day and a perfect view! Not to mention the addiction of perfect caching partners. When we arrived we started out hunt just down the way, a lovely stroll along the beach had us reaching this cache in no time at all. Scrambling through the bushes, our GPS signals jumping all over the shop, we made a move and found the cache hidden away nicely, and boy, were we really happily surprised with the size! thank you so much for bringing us this nice sized cache! don't get many of these around anymore! Found with Geoturtle37 and Empire on a foray to Raymond Island after attending an event in Bairnsdale. This one was a quick and easy find after a stroll along the beach on a beautiful spring day. I don't know if I would want to live on the island but it sure is a pretty place to visit. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
Found this cache as part of a relaxing ride around the island. Thank you for cache.
Spent a day exploring RI with Tassie expat. Thanks for placing these caches, it gave us a good reason to really have a look around and find out more about the history of this interesting place.
Frmen1 & I decided to explore Raymond Island on the only decent weather day for the weekend. Took the opportunity to also wet a line. Had more luck caching. Had to wait for some other fishermen to move on. They were having just as much luck. What a fab idea for a cache. A fav pt from me. TFTC
We are on our first trip to Australia and started in Melbourne. Today we stopped at this beautiful island to see the koalas. The nice weather invited us to stay longer and search for some caches.

Found at 1415 on a caching run with SirJ-Oz, Muggle-L, skirrel and j-bean while holidaying on the Island. I made the find of the nice big container, and almost got muggled which returning it by a family strolling along the previously deserted beach. Thanks for the cache She Me & the Dog/gwd.aussie.
Find #2960. Found @ 14:18 with AmethystPig, Muggle-L, skirrel and j-bean.
We're holidaying on the island and decided to combine exploration with caching up to the northern half. This was the fifth of the tour.
We walked up along the beach from the previous find and just as AmethystPig was performing the putting away duties, we saw a muggle family. There are not many people about in this area. We walked back to the car a different way.
Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables.
Thanks for the cache She Me & the Dog (Adopted by gwd.aussie).

Me bike ride around RI,
brought me out to a spot from where I could walk to GZ along the beach
The calm waters lapping the beach,
the scrunch under me boots
And a jetty off in the distance to head for
Where I soon tracked down this cache [^]

I would have loved to sit and draw a picture but geokids were extremely unruly (youngest geokid had stripped off clothes to jump off the jetty) so all I drew were stick figures of said unruly geokids! First one of these caches that I have come across since starting out a year ago. TFTC
Great cache. Mega sized! Thanks. Stopping at Paynesville in a charter yacht waiting for the wind to go down so we can sail to Bunga Arm. Quick run around the island while we wait. TFTC

Found on our way to Meetung. We decided to walk from the previous cache up to this one - it was an absolutely fantastic walk that was very pleasant with awesome views! However, once we got there, three muggles arrived to eat fish'n'chips and to go fishing. The cache was slightly away from them though, so we decided to go into the bush acting as if we were going for a pee - soon enough, the cache was in hand. Very nicely sized container - however, due to the muggles, we didn't have time to do the drawing! TNLNSL. TFTC gwd.aussie!
Had lots of fun sketching while we stopped at this one for a while. Great idea for a cache - thank you!
