Interesting site
I enjoyed the nearby hideous sculpture in steel
are they trying to lift the image o the area?

17-Mar-12
Found this one with Irontoad today. Irontoad found this one almost immediately and this I took a bit longer but found it. It is great to know that the creation of artwork did not stop with Eastlink in this area. I enjoyed the artwork but Irontoad thought that it was a typical "hideous public sculpture in steel". Great hide thanks a lot Daryllm123.

Thanks for the cache.

Great spot for a hide
But had to work quick between Muggles coming and going
Grabed a drink and a couple steamed dim sims and soon back on the road

Found at 9:11 AM GAFF3. It is always a lot tougher to search for a cache amongst muggles going about their business - even if the cache is a simple one as this turned out to be. However given the terrain rating I was not even considering looking in that area at first.
The aromas coming out of that Lebanese/Middle Eastern shop were very alluring and as I had only a cup of coffee for breakfast I was tempted to go in and buy some delights, but caching took overBig Grin
Thanks Daryllm123
Feedback: The terrain rating should be at least a 2.0 to indicate that it is not easily obtainable by all cachers.

19-Feb-12
Found on a caching run with Tank_U. Once again he finds it while I'm looking in all the wrong places. A sneaky hide in plain sight, I love this sort of hide. Retrieval was easy but putting it back took time because of muggles in cars. But we got it back without being spotted. Nice cache, thanks Daryl!

Coolthis was a great hide but lots of muggles.

18-Feb-12
Visited last night but a casche outside a Fish & Chip shop on a Friday night just doesn't work.
Easy grab this morning but there were a few muggles around that I managed to avoid.

6/12/12 7:14 PM

After arriving at GZ of a nearby multi but not being able to find the actual cache, I headed to this one on the way home so I could fill in the day on my project 366. Had to wait a while for the area to be muggle free (Pretended I was on the phone Smile), lent then reached and soon had the cache in hand.

Thanks to Daryllm123 for the cache.

When I was first here I was quite surprised at how many passengers were just sitting in their cars while others were in the shops. They all looked overweight. I wonder why. So I couldn't retrieve the cache without undue risk.

Coming back at about 12.30 at night (after the 11.11 events) the coast was clear. Nifty container too.

Fixed up and ready to go again, Remember to use extreme stealth or it might go missing again, thanks daryllm123

This cache find was made easier by the rain and after school start time. We had to wait for a few minutes then in for the grab. Had to wait again for the return as a courier pulled up right beside us. Anyway thanks for the cache and now we know what BRS stands for.

11-Jun-11
princessdiala and I had wanted to get this one prior to today, but with the amount of people around and in shops it seemed near impossible!! We were sitting in the car and could literally see the cache!! So we decided to come back later!!

I know these shops well, as I grew up in this area, so when I found out there was a cache here I knew I had to find it!!!

Definately a tricky one purely on stealth factor...

Thanks Darrylm for the cache

Found in the company of coley_babee.
Last cache find of the night!
Well it certainly is much easier at night when most shops have closed.
I could only just retreive and replace it.
Wasn't so smooth, but there was not many people around to see.
Thanks Daryllm123 for this cache.

Find # 576 Found @ 2030Hrs

A nice easy find Found after visiting the GLW in Hospital not far from here.
After arriving @ GZ i did a Quick look around then it was time for a scout around to make a Quick find in the second place i looked.
The cache was soon in hand & i retreated to the car which was parked about 5m away from GZ to sign the log boog as there had been a couple of muggles arrive but the disapered quite soon after getting there supplys & the cache was soon back to it's hidding place.

This was the first and last cache we attempted today in the company of coley_babee.
Not technically a DNF, so noted.
We first came past around lunch time, I spotted the cache a mile away, but as we're both vertically challenged to make the find and replacement 'smoothly' we drove onto the next one.
Last cache of the day, I would have thought the shop on the corner would be closed at 1800, but alas they weren't. There were two ladies working in the shop standing right by the window, and we left right away.
We'll have to attempt later at night I think.
Thanks Daryllm123 for the bold challenging hide.

Out caching today with Xambo4U and 80Degrees.
Parked across the road and walked to GZ. I wonder which one the cache is going to be on. I was searching the wrong object, but it wasn't long till we had the cache in hand. We had to wait for a few muggles to walk past before returning the cache to its hiding hole.

2.55 Out and about with 80 degrees and Toycar today. Its Mr 80 behind the wheel and Toycar with the list. We are in unexplored territory for all us and having had our picnic lunch break is helping us keep up to speed. Nice and easy to park but very tricky as certain times of the day. I liked the structure and thought the plant was called for. Hope those shops have been informed. Nice and easy today
Thanks for the cache.

I can't say that I'm all that much of a fan of caches in areas with a heavy muggle presence, but that was where I found myself with this one, so I gritted my teeth and tried not to look overly suspicious as I made a visual scan of all the likely objects close to GZ. Fortunately, the cache was fairly easy to spot so, hoping that there was no-one out of sight inside a darkened shop who was wondering what I was up to, I boldly made a grab for it and tried to look innocent while I filled in the log. I think I probably looked more suspicious when I replaced the cache.

Nice gutsy hide, justifying hiding a micro.
Just goes to prove that if there's a distraction taking over the eye and mind, you can hide something in plain sight.
Nice cache.

25-Apr-11
We could see it from a distance as we approached. It was easy to retrieve, but then a lady from the Pizza shop looked out. Fortunately she got a phone call, and we could replace the cache.
Thanks, Robmc.

Nice to do a bold urban cache like this one.
I would be too scared to place one like this but you have and it was a pleasure to find and log.

We found this cache today at 11:35am as the 1st of 10 on route to Fountain Gate. I was surprised that I could see what I thought was the cache when still 20 metres away. I love it when such a blatant hide lasts the distance. Thanks from D, HA, H and A B-A.

Another quick drive by cache, made easily and less stressful due to the time of day. This would be a challenge during working hours. A clever simple hide, nice. Found it a bit difficult to remove the log from the cache, a pair of neddle nose pilers would have helped.

Took my two boys out for some caching this fine Saturday morning. There were a few muggles about entering and leaving the local shops, but saw a break and made a grab for the cache. Went around the corner and signed the log before waiting for the right time to replace the cache. Thanks for the hide Daryllm123.

Very clever cache. Finding it is not hard but getting it without being seen during the day is near impossible. Great cache thanks. Wink

#224 - What a fun cache!!! Going there on a public holiday was definitely a good idea as there weren't too many people out and about. TFTC!

Have been watching this cache for a while now as it is basically in our back yard. Found last night with geokids after having been to a nearby park. There were plenty of muggles about but all were more interested in their dinner plans than the three of us searching for a cache. M found the hide fairly quickly but I had to retrieve it. Thanks Darylm. TNLNSL. TFTC. KMS

Needed one for today, and this was it.. I like to save the close to home ones forthe days that I only have time to get one.. I'm on a "cache every day" crusade.. and according to C@H I can get a badge for it.. (I'm still waiting).. Smile I always feel like I'm wasting one when I get one close to home, however I have to get it sometime.. and as today was a busy day at work this one has to be it.. it wasn't too disimilar to what I was expecting and it was within 10cm of where I first put my hand.. Thanks for the cache Daryllm123, dipped nightcaching coin and goggo mobile TB.. Find#929

Mmmmm have spotted the cache due to process of elimination but this is a very busy location and the muggle in the white car just won't move on. Waited under cover from the rain until he left for a quick retrieve. TFTC certainly a challenging cache to get your mitts on and remain inconspicuous!

04-Feb-11
As it turned out we couldn't have picked a worse night weather wise to go caching but we wanted to keep our geo streak going. Diane had visited here yesterday but although she could see the cache she couldn't retrieve it (damn duck's disease) so it was just a matter of returning. The drive down was quite eventful with even the freeway flooded in places and broken day and swamped cars everywhere. Thank goodness for a diesel. Once at gz we sat in the car for about ten minutes waiting for the rain to ease. While we were waiting the nearby shop closed up making the nearby find very quick when we got our chance.
Thanks Darryllm123 for the cache

Out on a last minute gnoming hunt when we passed these shops so stopped in to do this cache. Had an idea immediately where it would be but still took a bit of looking before Julz76 spotted it! Thanks for the fun. SL

Found this one with not a muggle to be seen. Probably helps that it was 11pm! and all the shops were shut for the night.
Great hide Daryllm123. Gonna watch this one as I think there may be some interesting posts here.

When I saw this one come up, my first thought was, "That's Daryllm's turf. He will probably get another First-to-Find." Well, in a way, he was first to see the cache. Wink
My second thought was. "What does BRS stand for?" (Now I know.)

An interesting find. I could see the cache, but couldn't grab it as there were three Greek women standing outside a shop having a lovely chat. I went around the corner to look at the graffiti ... and listened. Not knowing any Greek apart from "souvlaki" and "tzatziki" I was unable to pick up the nuances that might tell me when the conversation was about to end. So, I periodically peeked around the corner until they departed, grabbed the prize and ducked around the corner to sign it.

Lots of interesting art work around here.

Thanks, Daryllm123, for another interesting cache. Smile

While we let some other FTF hounds go for this yesterday, we went and had a cold beer.
Arrived today and met Jim, the Brady Rd Fish & Chip shop owner. He was concerned about what was going on since yesterday. He described everybody who had come yesterday (that I knew), yes you C@H, yes you stemicmitsar and others.
I explained the game and he is happy with that. Why not call in for a snack
Thanks Daryllm123 for the cache

Sometimes you don't get them, Sometimes you do. I raced some another FTF hunt in Cheltenham to this one. Parked up across the road from GZ in the shade and walk to GZ for a quick grab. I headed back to the car where there was shade still in sight of GZ to retrieve the log book. Shortly after I noticed another cacher and indicated for them to join me in the shade. I still had not retrieved the log from the container when MrMic joined me. I offered a joint *FTF* as I retrieved the log book. In not time stemicmitsar arrived. He must of been right on my tail from the previous FTF I missed. TFTC.

30-Jan-11
This one popped up just as I was about to leave Frankston and off I raced hoping to get a FTF. Unfortunately, I pulled up just as Coverthypnosis was plucking the cache so for the second time this weekend I've missed a FTF by less than a minute. Oh well, had a good chat and Stemicmitsar showed up as well so we chatted and then had to wait a while to return the cache with a sudden influx of muggles at the local shop.

TFTC Daryllm123
Cheers

Find #680. 3rd to find.
After meeting Covert at the previous cache find and realising when he left so quickly that there was another ftf hunt.
We had gone back to the car and looked up were we needed to go, be this time covert had a good head start on us.
When we arrived at the cache location we saw Covert with Mr.Mic standing in the shade with logbook in hand, over we went, signed the log and had a bit of a chat.
It was then time to return the cache to its hide with proved to be a bit difficult, we just had to wait a while for the muggles to stop coming and going.
Thanks to Daryllm123 for this cache.
