Agree with Rediguana. It must surely be on private property if the coords are accurate, and venturing into this street is not great with so many potential places overlooking the location. And the owner hasn't visited GC.com since 2011.
Was in Dunedin to attended the first ever Mega in New Zealand. Managed to work it out so that I was able to team up with fozzmiester and agcnz on an 8 day caching trip around the South Island, this was day 3 of the road trip.
After finding GC15KGX - U' for Under Construction (Otago), this was the next cache that we had on our list to find today. As it was early Sunday morning and this cache was in Studentville, this was going to be fun, we decided that it wasnt going to be an issue as there was safety in numbers, but also it was far too early on a Sunday for most of them to be up after a late night yesterday.
As we neared GZ we managed to find a parking spot not too far away from GZ, got out of the car and walked over to what seemed like GZ had a quick look and didnt see anything in the rock wall, decided that after a quick search it really wasnt worth the effort and decided that it was time to move on.
Noticed later that after checking the logs that there has being quite a few DNF's lately on this cache so it wasnt worth it, but thanks for bringing us here always wanted to see how the student accommodation looked like in Dunedin, interesting indeed.

Had a good hunt for this tonight but wasn't able find it. It looks like it has disappeared. Cheers Gav
Visited tonight and cache wasn't in the obvious hinted location. No finds since July either. With the Mega event on this weekend suggest it be temporarily disabled until it can be checked or replaced. Cheers Gav
The coords lead to a concrete wall, nothing useful there. There is the remains of a very low stone wall next door (about 6m away) but nothing there either. I think it has been studented.
I didn't like this place at all. I am on a bicycle and there was glass everywhere. Not puncture, luckily.

Not actually a DNF, more a DNR (did not retrieve), we could see the cache. We thought the first day of the uni holidays would be ideal for this, sadly we were wrong. Students in the houses on both side of the cache and across the road as well. We will be back .. early Saturday or Sunday morning should do the trick.
After driving round in circles becasue my navigator was 12 and didn't know the area, we had a quick find when we reached GZ:) TFTC with CachemanChris too.
With Castlewood_Crew - after driving in circles it was a quick find at GZ TFTC
#1,175: No Bricks!
I walked to this one from the Uni on my way to the Botanical Gardens. Not many student muggles about, so I could search in peace. Cache was just kind of sitting out in the open, so I covered it a little better. Should not be a problem for the next finder.

Quick, easy early morning find. No muggles to contend with ... but we could hear them stirring all around us! Had to laugh at the rudimentary camouflage ... a single beer can.

My first geocache hunt, literally just round the corner from my house. wasn't sure what we were looking for but we found it none the less.
#1096 Found while visiting from Oz enjoying this wonderful country. Found quickly. Thanks coolcatgreg44.
Found quickly by our newest addition to our caching team.
I can see this one getting muggled before too long.

Mum took me caching today with a couple of friends. Lots of fun searching for the caches. TFTC
This would have to be one of the worst streets in studentville!
A totalled car nearby, supermarket trolleys filled with rubbish which overflowed everywhere! Not to mention the obligatory furniture strewn around the properties in the neighbourhood.
Cache in full view, retrieved and signed the log. TF4T smiley.

I've set myself a new personal challenge. Sunday marked the beginning of Advent. If you’re not sure what that is all about, check the link at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advent . I've decided to start myself off on an Advent-ure. My aim is to find at least one geocache on each of the days of Advent, so hopefully by Christmas Day I’ll have a new longest streak which surpasses my current ‘6 Days’ by a country mile.
I wandered down the street this one is hidden in and as i got near GZ my stomach fell... four students over the road in their front yard, and another gaggle getting into a vehicle right next to the cache. Wandered down the road past it, and decided to double back and see if it was possible with all those muggles.... turns out it wasn't. Turned off the GPS and headed back to the car thinking about other close options nearby. As I walked off I heard the word "geocaching" - turns out the four students in the front yard placed the cache!
So with the CO's watching, I duly fished out the container and scribbled in the log book. Had a chat to them about caching in general and the recent article in The Star.

All was quiet in the street on this sunday morning . . Most of the houses looked empty and its amazing how messy the students are . . I replaced the broken container with a green painted sistema snaplock that I had in my truck . . TFTC
Had fun cruising around the area on Saturday efore flying home to Jafa land

Quick find in the dark. A few empty-looking flats which helped. I used to live so close to this street but had never actually walked along here before. TFTC.
After a long and tiring walk and most of it up hill we found the cache but got interrupted by muggles so tied our shoelaces yet again for the fourth time. Container needs attention. TNLN TFTC
3:46:00 PM1 We seemed to be under some scrutiny from all the overlooking windows. However we came to the conclusion that they must all be in the know so just went for it. The cache container is getting pretty much past its' user date..

This cache was surprisingly easier than we expected. We assume the nearby residents must be aware of it that it has remained in place. We certainly received knowing looks from two passers by as we approached. It also looked as if Guy Fawkes the night before must have been celebrated with a fire in the middle of the road at the intersection. TFTC
The ninth find of the day, sixth at night. Went with ingidayna. A quick easy find. TFTC
Found this some time ago -- just did not get around to logging it.
Container lid is cracking -- may need replacing.
Easy find in the heart of scarfie territory -- never knew this road existed.

Found it 1st for the day. Waited for muggle to drive out of his drive. He took ages. Nice camo hide. On my bike today
I was suprised how obvious this one was but made it good for a quick find. Container is cracking a little bit but the contents are all ok.
Quick find on a Sunday morning, only needed to negotiate one chunder pizza on the footpath.TFTC
This one seemed so unlikely... as we were walking down the street, we were all thinking we would end up halfway on someones lawn and all, and that it must be that the coordinates were all wrong or something...
But surprisingly, we approached, and there was the cache! Just like that in plain sight!
Surprised noone has taken it. It's great!

waiting for the weekend after exams was a good idea, no one around, and unusually quite TFTC
Lots of muggles hopping around today, managed to zip in and log the cache when no one was around.

Got this one on a nigh cache run with GP. GP found this one by accident as he was heading towards another wall he suspected. Fantastic hide!
Easy find, Campus watch just came around the corner as i was pulling it out. lucky I'm a sneaky one.
Must admit I haven't been up here before,Cache was a bit explosed and requires new container as won't be water tight.
Quiet location at midday, might be busy in the evening. Good cam from a distance but paint job needs a touch up. TFTC
Todays visit focused around 'studentville' and to be honest it doesnt say much for Dunedin; what a filthy mess.
Found on today´s walk around Dunedin. We do not know, why is this place somehow special, maybe the rubbish around the cache... There was dead dog on the street... Quite discusting place...
Like being back in Cairo. Dead animals, filth and squalor. This generation to lead NZ soon - we're doomed.
great view.added blue gem took smiley face magnet, seen guitarist as mentioned in previous logs.
Found at 16:52 on 28/03/2011.
Needed one of the boys to run interference with this one. I'm not sure how long this will last in a dead-end road in studentville...!
Glad I've got this one off the list...

Thought that I would do this last week, but it was so busy that I just walked on by... You need to choose your time carefully, and don't go in bare feet! TFTC.

New way to enter house......through the window??
Had to wait till it was clear.
See some one had the book that is not a cacher...

Quick grab in the early morning, looks like the students had a good night.

Looked beyond the sofas and the empty bottles and found the brick in the wall, quite a student area evidently!

We were early enough without too many of the locals being about. Liked the couch and matress up high in promient viewing positions. Suggest they may be a little damp after the nights rain. TFTC
This was quite a simple one but it'll be a small wonder if this won't get muggled... A nice way to "hide" a cache though.. TFTC!
Very easy find, not sure about location and container, but we'll see what happens closer to Scarfie time!
Cheers,

Haha, nice title! This one took me an embarrassingly long time, for a relatively simple find.... although I got away undetected, as best I can tell, on this Monday morning. Hope it doesn't get muggled from there! For anyone else -- there it no need to set foot onto anyone's private property to find this cache, it can be accessed easily from public land. It only involves a minor tamper with a wall. TFTC!
TFTC SL wasnt there the other day now I no why hmmmmmmm very busy little street how long will it be there though a few muggels around also
Not much activity around on a Saturday morning - must have been some party the previous night with the remnants of someones ghetto blaster strewn across the foot path. Salamat!
Another lunchtime stroll, back to the spot we'd initially looked. There was nothing here when we looked yesterday ... but the broken tape deck is still lying there....
(When we found nothing here last time, we turned on the GPS which misled us south to quite a different wall - must be the canyon effect.) The gladware container is unlikely to last very long; however, in this particular armpit of studentville I reckon the hide is likely to be muggled within a couple of weeks anyway. Thanks for the lunchtime recreation, coolcatgreg44!

Would it be fair to assume that this is hidden at the cache owner's flat? If not, then I've probably just compromised the cache because someone in the flat saw me. They didn't come roaring out to question what I was doing so that was a good sign.
Not wanting to disappoint I went out and picked this up at an unreasonable time!
I'm concerned about the commitment of last nights "lurkers" though - a quick trip to the bottle store and a keg each and they'd have been welcomed with open arms at GZ! Now that's a tradeable item...

Well that was a bit of a mission! Popped around at 10am-ish and found a street still and quiet with not a soul in sight. Walked up the street and immediately spotted the hide. Walked along and then turned back to collect. Used the "just tying my shoes"approach and I'm glad I did as upon standing I noticed some parental type muggles were walking up the road towards me. I decided to head back to the car with the cache and wait for the coast to clear. However, the male parental muggle soon cam back down the street and collected a car and trailer...which was then driven back and parked right outside the cache hide! I then spent the next two hours coming back and forth every 20 minutes or so to see if the area was clear. The rain that arrived jut after lunch seemed to do the trick as when I returned the street was empty. Used the car as cover to put the cache back, though I couldn't figure out how it was completely hidden and suspect one of the bricks has gone in the time I had the cache.
Apologies to anyone who searched for the cache whilst it was having time out in my car!
I would tend to suggest that the difficulty is much higher due to the high chance of being muggled. It is street that would make any non-student look suspect!
TFTC!
Note to Stegan: That's a great idea. I'll camp out with some of the Cumby kids at the next cache I publish and wait for you to bring the liquid refreshment in exchange for FTF honours!

Hah- expect a ton of bricks to land on you next time we see you, Cumbyrocks! We had a lunchtime stroll and eyeballed the wall in question at approximately 12.45. We were a bit concerned, as there seemed to be a lot of possible hides but they all required lifting bricks off the wall or reaching over the wall. Have actually emailed the owner asking for reassurance that we're allowed to investigate private property. No wonder there didn't seem to be anything obviously accessible to cachers!
went looking for this one today very busy place and such a little street I think I saw the brick wall I was like right there but people were mucking around with there car at the time I so looked suspicous though didnt get it shall try again never mind
Dashed round to GZ for this one but the search was cut short by the arrival of some student muggles across the road starting a party on the roof. Waited down the road for a little while and had a chat to Guwapo when he arrived. The return of some more muggles with beer for the roof party put an end to any thoughts of discreetly finding the cache. I left Guwapo at the end of the road still hoping the muggles might fall off and give him a chance of sneaking in. Will return again in the morning whilst the muggles are sleeping off their hangovers...but the real question is: will anyone get up earlier than Stegan?
Papa arrived to find Cumbyrocks leaning on a rail. Chatted for a while before Cumbyrocks headed back to college. Waited for another 30 minutes or so then tried one quick walk-by without raising suspicions, but couldn't see anything obvious. Just as I was leaving a few of the muggles were coming off the roof and heading off. Maybe there will be some time later tonight......
