This cache has always been a tricky hide, but due to the DNFs it's time to archive. Thanks to all those who have solved Smile

It’s very disappointing when you go to all the trouble to solve a tricky mystery cache and then have numerous attempts to find it....we had contacted the CO who suggested we look in a different spot ..which we had already checked ..but decided to check again ...I searched on both levels ...the play ground above and the quiet nook down lower ...searched around both kowahi tree as per coded hint ...under seats behind and around plaque and any place that looked feasible...still not able to locate...by this time I decided to book an appointment with spec savers which may help me locate the invisible cache

30-May-19
After messaging the CO we came back here today. Searched again with no luck.

24-May-19
Spent many hours solving this great cache...finally today armed with all the required info went to collect the booty ...frustrating ...the cupboard was bare ...the CO may want to check and confirmplease

24-May-19
Searched all around hint item and others close by but nothing. I see it goes missing regularly. Unlucky for us

28-Mar-19
Found on road trip with Philip and Bruce but forgot to log. Solve took a while as did our hunt here, after fixing up we eventually made the discovery. Many Thanks

Had a few attempts at this after I solved it ages ago but it had obviously been muggled. On a trip to Hamilton today I noticed it had been re-enabled. A quick find in the expected place. Good to replace blue with yellow. TFTC.

17-Feb-19
A raid on the Waikato was long overdue so McJandals, Davidsonclan and I teamed up as we've both got similar caches on our Hamilton hit lists. This cache was a tricky one - the solve was.... time consuming - only to figure out the last time we were searching here one of our numbers were wrong! Holey moley we've spent a lot of time here. So happy to finally have this one ticked off. Cheers JITZMaGiC, TFTC Smile

12-Feb-19
Replaced today, good to go.

09-Jan-18
Got to the correct location but couldnt figure it out as this is my 3rd ever cache......will come back

08-Oct-17
Had a couple of tries at this one. Had a long search at GZ but no luck (unless the cache was a yellow mint tin with no log). CO please check.

08-Oct-17
May have gone missing. CO please chack.

10-Dec-16
Solved this quite some time ago with a neat tool that we were directed to. Had been waiting for a suitable day to retrieve this and as we were nearby collecting another solved puzzle cache, we thought we better stop in.
Pretty wet at the moment. Found the cache where you would expect it to be. No chance of signing logbook as soaking wet and plastic bag ripped. Was not able to replace sorry. TFTC

Checked on and dried out log Smile

02-Jul-16
Very wet log.

02-Jul-16
Looked at the puzzle several times before figuring out how to solve. Enjoyed the walk to GZ and found a very wet cache and could not sign, took photo to prove found. Thanks.

03-Sep-15
Found after a short search. A very muddy cache - luckily there was a toilet block nearby where I could wash my hands. Thanks for the cache.

10-May-15
This was a nice one to solve over coffee this morning. Unfortunately I realised I didn't actually have the coordinates with me so had to resolve on the fly when I got to the general vicinity. Took a little bit to find - started out in the wrong area but regrouped. Cache is very muddy on the outside and the log is damp. TFTC and TFTP!

14-Mar-15
I should have been at home resting today but really wanted to find a cache, with a souvenir up for grabs this cache, long time solved, was close enough to home to qualify, tftc

Nice hide what a nice wee park

02-Sep-14
I spent a couple of hours steering at this puzzle last night going cross eyed. It took some time but with persistence I was able to crack it. Ironically I actually do have a mild case of colour blindness. I enjoyed the challenge. My wife and the boys made the find today before meeting with friends. Thanks for the puzzle and the cache.

23-Aug-14
Aha! Finally got it. I re'pen'ted after the cardinal sin of geocaching that is forgetting to bring a pen. Oh well. Thanks for the puzzle ( I can actually solve... ) and the replacement!

Doing a bit of cache hunting and gathering toward the August Challenge... Gap and I are heading toward a CITO event starting at 10 AM...

I noticed that this one had been replaced recently, so we decided to visit ground zone while in the area. Today's find was quite straight forward and it is the reward for solving this challenging puzzle. Thank you to the COs for the replacement... TFTP and TFTC.

Replaced and good to go... Big Grin

Disable until the new baby gives us two seconds to check and replace, hopefully not long Smile

07-Jun-14
Hi there. I solved this clever puzzle and searched ground zone for several minutes in the company of a recent finder. We were unsuccessful in locating the cache and we request a check up on this please. Thank you.

13-Oct-13
Enjoyed the challenge. Once code cracked nice easy find.

22-Sep-13
11.20am - This one took me longer to solve than to drive to to Hamilton to get cache. Not much colour here today, with a grey morning and no muggles around. SLTFTC

Replaced cache container today so all good to be found!

30-Jan-13
Lid missing from cache container.

30-Jan-13
Really liked the puzzle. Found the cache in a lovely park, unfortunately the lid was missing from the container.

14-Jan-13
Not sure if there was an easier way to solve the puzzle or not, but I got there in the end from recognising spelling patterns.

Hint helped once I got nearer to GZ - thanks - as cache wasn't in first place I looked.

Cache was different colour to what I was expecting. Cache was exposed behind the thing, with a lid that was too small laying on the ground next to it. Waterproof caching paper all good though. Covered as best we could.

Thanks for the fun!

Watched Panda22 solve this one and went out with her to find it. A nice play area near by with lots of little people playing. TFTC

09-Oct-12
Another one of the many I have solved but yet to find. I have only one regret my grandies are too big for the beautiful park nearby. Thanks for a pretty puzzle and the fun in the search.

22-Aug-12
going... blind.... My eyes do not thank you!

Nice puzzle, nice wee hidey spot.

18-Aug-12
Got there eventually with the puzzle, only to discover we'd missed the clue Red Face.
Suffering a bit from eye-strain by the end, maybe we're overdue for our next eyesight tests [:D.
Thank you for a most enjoyable puzzle.
Came across The Potter Childrens Garden - what a wonderful new area for the little ones.

05-Aug-12
got to love trying in the dark saying its a bust coming back few days later and having that moment of inspiration tftc

03-Aug-12
Nice puzzle. Didn't really try to solve it as I didn't know where to start. But accidentally stumbled across a solution that looked like it might work. And it did. YAY! Went out to find the cache and was majorly colouring. Went back in the day time and spotted it with no problems even though the gps was trying to lead me astray. TFTP

Had a good look yesterday (even confirmed with another that I was in the right place) however there has been a big clean up of the area, new gardens, small plants and was wondering if it has been cleaned up in the clean up Sad can you please confirm that it hasn't disapeared to the great trash bin in the sky. thank you

25-Feb-12
Lots of work on the bank above GZ. Plenty of detritus falling on the cache. I hope it doesnt get swept up during the clean-up. Thanks.

22-Feb-12
It has taken me 50 minutes to decipher this code, but have finally done it! Will be along soon to find Smile

29-Jan-12
Challenging puzzle for a newbie but got there (woop, woop!), great final location. Cache all good today & replaced as per previous log. TFTP &TFTC

26-Jan-12
Went the long way round but enjoyed the walk. Cache completely uncovered and seems awfully exposed to accidental discovery. Covered with leaf debris but how long it will stay like that is debatable.

11-Jan-12
Another enjoyable puzzle that was soon deciphered. Nice spot for the final and another Hamilton puzzle down. TFTC

I had a few goes at solving this one without any luck. Novalightning was round for dinner one night and I showed him a handy puzzle solving app on the android phone and he spotted a possible solution - he was rightBig Grin
Like the last finder the cache was fully exposed so recovered.
Many thanks for the challenge.

05-Sep-11
Should of probably been working instead of solving the puzzle, but once I cracked it I had to finish it. Picked it up after work, cache was in the open so covered it with some leaf litter.

TFTP and TFTC.

10-Apr-11
Definitely not colour blind but severe case of blurred vision after solving this.
Quick find
TFTC

06-Apr-11
Enjoyable puzzle to solve. Had a bit of trouble initially with printing out the cache page and the confusion that caused. The find today was made quite a bit more difficult with the number of leaves on the ground now that autumn is here. Thanks very much jillopy & return2nai

Wouldn't have mattered if we were ColourBlind when we went to find this cache - it was late at night and pitch black! Found where we thought it should be, but missed it first time round. Thanks.

Solved the puzzle quickly before everything became a blur. Found actual cache quickly with the hint. More beautiful Hamilton gardens.

I did the pre-find reccee while she was sucking up to the IRD across the river. Nice spot in the gardens. TFTC

Thought I was going blind, looked at the hiding spot but did not find it, up'd the terrain a bit and frisked the big trees, back to the first spot and bingo, it was there, just needed to LOOK. Big Grin

Nice puzzle and enjoyable find at 11pm-ish

6407 Colour Blind? Not us, a very interesting puzzle that didn’t take too long to sort out after a quick visit to our optometristBig Grin. Nice spot for the final, many thanks.

06-Feb-11
What a great place for the final hide, sat for a spell and enjoyed the ambience.
Even the muggles were none the wiser in this colorful spot.
[orange]TFTP[/orange] and [red]TFTC[/red]...gotta love puzzles! Big Grin

Finding itwas way more easier than solving the puzzle...Thanks

Well this almost made me colour blind trying to solve it, with a really big nudge in the right direction (Thanks!!) and a few hours of trial and error the true colours were revealed.
Another cache the clan can retrieve this weekend.

Can I get there before everyone else, though?
Can I have a gold star for FTS, please?

My first FTF! Been waiting a long time for the opportunity to do this Big Grin
Saw this at lunchtime and solved during my lunchbreak, but couldn't get there until after work. Located the cache, pulled out the log book, nervously unfolded it.... would there be anyone's name already there, over the fold? NO! A virgin logbook Big Grin
Yee hah!
