In Bayswater to pick up something so grabbed some nearby caches. No luck here.
Thanks col117 for the cache.
Thanks col117 for the cache.
Looked high and low but couldn't find anything. Certainly looked at where the photo shows GZ. Found trashed pink tupperware container but thought it too large to have been the cache.
Our second visit to this spot and ended up leaving empty handed again. I'm sure we are in the right spot, but keep missing it. Oh well, back another day!
This was close so we parked and walked over. There was sign saying future substation so maybe the unremarkableness will change from one item to another. We made a quick find and completed the signing duties before re hiding. We also took the geo coin, a Magellan one so it matches our GPSr which is a Magellan XL. TFTC

Out for a successful day of caching with OOH YEH, with 22 finds and 0 dnf's in an area that is new to me for caching.
This was our first for the day and was a nice quick find.

Out with skippy 46 for a day of caching. The weather was kind to us and we managed to not get wet and all. We found 22 caches with no DNFS so we had a very successful day. A quick find here TFTC col117
After reading the last post we were a little tempted to give it a miss but decided to plug on. Reasonably quick find budgie92 and I are on the way to the second cache
And we begin again for last day of holidays with sherrin 33 thought we'd try our luck in dark and gloomy Bayswater fumbling our way through the dark bushes sherrin had her eyes on the prize as we left managed to almost scare a poor muggle goin on his night time stroll oooo scary
This is one geocaching experience I will never, ever forget! Now, after having read the logs, I am very grateful this had not been a night cache. After quickly finding No 1 and signing the log with the pencil inside the cache, I tromped off in the direction my GPS was taking me towards No 2, a short walk which led me up an embankment towards Tonkin Hwy. No 2 was also a quick find but I realised I’d forgotten to bring anything to sign the log. Thinking that the car wasn’t too far to go and grab a pen, I started to pick my way back down the embankment when I noticed the odd sight of a fairly new looking bike leaning against a tree in a kind of hollow in the trees and bush at the bottom of the embankment. My first thought was that the bike had been stolen and dumped there but I also felt a sudden rising sense of alarm that perhaps someone else was lurking around who might not be too pleased to find me poking about. I continued to make way down the embankment skirting around but keeping a careful eye on the area where I’d seen the bike and then, I did see another person, motionless, there in the hollow. Moving very cautiously now, and with a rapidly mounting sense of horror and a feeling of utter despair, I realised this person was dead. He had chosen this lonely, secluded area of bush, this unremarkable spot, to end his own life. From what I could see of him, I was almost certain he’d been dead for some time. A small part of me though, was terrified at the thought he might by dying even as I stood there and I felt deeply ashamed, God help me, that I just could not bring myself to go any closer. Now, in hindsight, I like to think if I’d seen any possible sign of life at all, that without hesitation, I would have launched myself in to do what I could to help. What I did was fumble for my phone and call 000. The operator was lovely - I must have sounded a complete mess because after she’d taken all the details she asked if I was okay and whether I suffered from any medical conditions! Within a very short time sirens rapidly approached and the place was suddenly full of police and ambulance officers. Are there any jobs more difficult than these? He had been reported as a missing person by his family some five days earlier and had been dead well before I found him. My only consolation was that my discovery was at least going to put his family out of the misery of not knowing where he was and what had happened, although, of course, plunging them into another, very different kind of misery. The police and ambulance officers were just amazing with their gentle and patient kindness towards me even in the midst of the dreadful task they had to do. Finally, after I had given my statement by the side of a police car, I made my shaky way back to the car, drove off a short distance, stopped and quietly sobbed. Needless to say I did not, and will not ever, return to sign the log. Will I go back to geocaching? Yes, I will, because I love it, but not this morning, the morning after all this happened, as I usually would first thing on a Sunday, trooping off with the thrill of adventure and the unknown. This morning I’ll stay home with my wife and daughter. Geocaching can lead to many experiences and discoveries - almost always wonderful, but occasionally, as this was, somewhat darker - but very rarely is it ever unremarkable.
GSAGC #58. Made the mistake of stumbling through the burnt out area. When will I realise that the shortest distance between 2 points is not necessarily a straight line [I:] Easy find. TFTH.
Nice easy fine enroute to library, nice little cache. TNLN (my partner Andrews first find!!)
Found @ 10:52!
Find #1 of 2 for today.
Got a little concerned about the scorched earth near GZ, but found the cache in the obvious place a few metres west of where the GPS would have me believe.
Spotted a Bobtail near the cache, so took a photo of him before grabbing the container!
Cache was a little exposed and it looked like an attempt had been made to set it alight, but all was well.
Covered it fairly well due to apparent activity in the area, but it should be easy enough for the next geocacher...!

I wonder how many UN words I can use in my log. Unlike a lot of other cachers, I know this area well, but have never travelled down this road before. How unlikely is that, I get to go down this road. Rather an unusual type of road anyway, more like a hook. Parked the car and was soon underway. I was wearing business attire, but found the pathway very firm underfoot. Soon found the cache. Thanks col117. Now off to find Unremarkable 2.
Unremarkable you say?
HA!
I will remember it not for being an amazing extraordinary cache, but the fact that at this cache, I got not 1 flat tyre on my bike, but 2! Front and rear and no repair kit.
Luck would have it that I used to live nearby and recalled a bike shop up the road. Luckily I was right and they were open. It ended caching for the day for me but it will be remembered.

Also some pretty flowering shrubs about here and a patch of grass that was full of seeds that wove their way into our socks. In the end we had to stop and pick them out. TFTC.
TFTC. Found on a quick run with SGT Ant on the way to airport flying back to Brisbane.
Yay, I did have fun finding this one - this would be a good place to hide in a halloween outfit and jump out at unsuspecting muggles
TFTH. Found after taking the geokids for a walk to get them out in this beautiful sunshine.
Met with iluvtrekking for a big day of caching. This was the first for the day and a reasonably quick find.
Dropped past with Everlasting heading to Unremarkable 2.
Decided to drop off a TB whilst here.

Accompanied with FelixII... She already found the container before so let me search and find and signed the log. Thanks col117.
[:(!] Went for a night of caching with Mrs GrumpyBump, arrived at GZ and in couple minutes we had the cache in hand, the cache was exposed and we covered it with natural material, took the two trackables when I noticed when I was logging this find were not recorded with this cache. Saw snoopy in tree first before little bro found I had stepped over the cash 3 times getting gz thanks and left KB

Damn hot here today. Even under that tree. Train count:2.
Thanks to col117 and clear skies from TeamAstro.
Didn't plan to do caches today but as I finally manged to search for one nearby I decided to see what else was close. Dont like the grass seeds much though. Like spears when they lodge in the socks and work their way into the legs. TFTH
Accessed as recommended. This was plenty "off road" enough for me. Thanks for the cache col117.
We were rained off this one yesterday but returned again today to make a quick find. TFTC
Out on a full day's caching on a magnificent winters day, bit chilly to start with. forecast was for showers but none were forthcoming, just very overcast or foggy even to start with. This was a quick find for us today. TFTC Col117
Unremarkable - I don't think so a cache big enough to put a couple of GCs in, that is unusual . The GCs were Niagra Falls GC and My Second Car GC. Thanks for the cache and the hunt col117.
Found with Team YThere. Nice quick grab in an obvious spot. Only a few metres from the path. TFTC TNLNSL
on the way home from the swan river we made this little series, unremarkable but number 42 for me.
Nice one before work, made friends with a stray cat. Often ride to work past this one. Tftc.
Just found this field not sitting in my account. Found this one on Mothers Day 2011 and forgot to log it.
My brother took me out caching and this was my first birthday-find. Walked straight up to the cache and grabbed it without further searching. L TB TN. TFTC!
Couldn't find it amongst all the bush and rubbish!
Did find a west coast eagles stubby cooler though, so it wasn't a total lose.
Will look again another time

Dropped by two pick up these two "unremarkable", Caches, this one was the first was an easy pick up on route to number two!!
Dropped by on the way home from work, but my GPSr just wouldn't settle. So, I resorted to using instinct, which soon paid off, and I had the cache in hand. TFTC
In Perth for an overnighter and grabbed this on the way past. Had just got the car cool again from the last cache and pulled up. Strolled along the path to the cache, had a lady go by on her bicycle with two tone bell. Short exchange of greetings and on to the cache. Quick find followed by a quick stroll back to the car before it became oven like again. Not used to the warm weather.

A quick find around the corner from my place. Found with the geodogs this morning. TFTC
Surprised to be amongst first to find on this!! And a cache is a cache so whoohoo!!
Having found the nearby cache, and having been FTF, I was very torn as to whether to go for this one or save it for another day. Today is my 94th consecutive day of finding a cache, and I am trying to save the closer to home ones and not find more than one a day, so I can keep this streak going.
However, the chance for a FTF won out in the end and I went for this one as well. This is definitely a cache you could get with your bike as you travel along the path, and the small sistema box was in an obvious, easy to find location! And I managed to snare another blank log book!!
Thanks for the cache Col!
