Heading through to Waikawa today, so stopped nearby before making a quick find here, TFTC

Here in the land of the long white cloud to attend the mega in Dunedin. Many thanks to all those involved in the organisation! Travelling with BenM70 along to the Catlins and onwards to Bluff. Did a cache that needed a long waterside walk and a wade so all wet and muddy again today! Fabulous scenery and ancient highlights. Thanks to the COs for amazing caches! Another DNF from my newbie days in 2017 avenged!!! My favourite type of cache! Cemetery!

Day 8 in New Zealand Last morning in Owaka so picking up a few close by around the region before heading here. My first overseas trip ever started off eventful with my tree fishing pole joining me in Brisbane on a later flight after deciding not to travel with me initially, but all sorted and the trip has been stress free since checking out the stunning scenery and picking up caches of various sorts. Went caching with the Qld + 1 crew while in Dunedin but finished up and headed south with GCoven on my way to fly out back to Townsville Australia via Invercargill Thanks farmer2some for placing this Traditional for me to convert into a smilie

Wandering around the Catlins for a few days grabbing geocaches as we go. Parked at the gate and walked through the cemetery taking in the history. I had a posse of about 6 Fantails join me for the walk, flitting about having a great old time. Got to GZ where a quick find followed, TNLNSL and left well covered. Thank you for the placement of this cache at a beautiful site for cemetery farmer2some.

What a cute wee cemetery one we haven't stopped at yet. TheTravellerJnr had a fun time trying to keep his feet steady on the slope and decided that playing with the flowers was a better option....tftc

Velk cesta do Ocenie - den 56 - Dunedin, Otago - Invercargill, Southland, South Island, Nov Zland (260 km) Rno jsem vstala do slunenho dne, dobalila, uklidila domek a vyrazila na cestu oblast Catlins dl na jih ostrova. Vybrala jsem si Southern Scenic Road, kter je sice del a klikat, ale vede kolem pobe a vech monch zajmavost. Cel dopoledne bylo krsn, tak jsem v poklidu jela a zastavovala u keek a taky velijakch atrakc. Cesta je fakt moc pkn a myslm, e ped i tu slavnou australskou Great Ocean Road. Pobe je divok, vlny velk, vtr stl, obas njak osada i mal msteko a farmy a samozejm ovce. Krajina je neuviteln zvlnn, tak vlastn furt jede do kopce nebo z kopce. Odpoledne, bohuel, pily pehky a vechny vychzky jsem mla trochu vlhk. I tak jsem si to uila. la jsem na ostroh tesu ke krsnmu majku, taky detnm lesem k malmu vodopdu a nakonec probhla i krtk prochzka po pli ke zkamenlm stromm. Prost krsn den a odlovila jsem i pknch 20 keek. Zejmna ta posledn u v Invercargill byla zatm nejhez z celho Zlandu. Njak kaer si ji udlal pro radost a m ji na dvorku ped domem. Byla jsem jak myka, tak jsem ownera nevidla, ale keku mu pochvlm. Na motel jsem dojela se setmnm v 8 veer a dost hotov. Toho vtru bylo na m dnes moc, tak m i trochu bol hlava. Tepl polvka, aj a spnek to sprav a ztra budu zase upr na dal krsnou cestu.Today I drove from Dunedin to Invercargill and chose the Southern Scenic Road. And I did well. Beautiful landscape and lots of attractions around. The morning was beautiful, then showers and strong winds came, but I still went on three shorter walks to the lighthouse, to the waterfall and on the beach to the petrified trees. I found 20 caches on the way and I really enjoyed the day. Thanks to everyone for their caches and greetings from the Czech Republic.

What a beautiful place to be and to enjoy the view. There are a few interesting graves to visit.

Found on an early morning visit. What a photogenic location. The colourful container was lying somewhat exposed so added some more stones to hide it better. Will still be an easy find. Thanks farmer2some for your placement.

Taking the long way home. Had stunning views in stunning weather as I made my way up the coast. I had two target caches for the day, both of which I found. Everything else was gravy.

Out and about caching in the Catlins with Gabby59, couldn't have asked for a better day and we have had an awesome time checking out the sights, and learning a new thing or two. It was our first time downloading a list to find with no service, and all in all I think it was a success!
We definitely had a great time, that's for sure TFTC

Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I now live full-time in our caravan & travel the country visiting places we want to visit … we are now parked up at the NZMCA Niagara campsite for a couple of days, exploring in & around the area … we went for a bit of a drive this afternoon & thought it would be rude not to check this cache out … lovely site … found with no issues, log completed & cache returned … pleased to add another 'smiley face' to the tally … TFTC ... TN:LN:SL ... #2,172 for us.

The rain stopped. So we could bike to this cache. This cache was found on our second summer campervan trip. JDScout and I plan to do three this summer. This trip is from Christchurch to Bannockburn to the Catlins and back.

Thanks for hiding this cache farmer2some I appreciate it. It has helped add an extra layer of fun in our holiday.

Day 8 of our South Island roadtrip & our last day in the Catlins. Today our travels took us to Waikawa, Curio Bay, Slope point & the Waipapa Point lighthouse before backtracking to Papatowai for dinner at the Perkes foodtruck & a few spots in between. We had the most awesome brunch at the Cafe in Niagara & enjoyed beautiful sunny weather & many stunning views!

Third find of the day. Parking was a bit tight, and the cache lid is damaged. But contents were fine, TFTC farmer2some.

The 8th day of a South Island road trip for myself and RG1972 and our last day in the Catlins. Today we went to Waikawa, Curio Bay, Slope point and the Waipapa lighthouse before backtracking to our base via Papatowai and a few spots in between. We found a couple of great food options, some more golden sand beaches that we didn’t know the area was known for, and struck some nice weather again. All that and plenty of history and views, thanks all COs for highlighting and adding that extra special reason to visit these sites.

Nice view alright. Pencil has disappeared and container lid has snapped but log is dry inside its snaplock bag. TFTC

These two lovely ladies agreed to come with me and help me grab some caches between Fortrose and The Chaslands, full of laughs and good spirits we set off and attacked the day allowing me to bag 17 caches for the day ️ Thankyou lady’s peaceful cemetery with some interesting headstones and lots of little fantails came to investigate what we were doing. Nice hide. Rock bug added to cache T4TC

Just get out of car Ruru_NZ finds it - sometimes that happens when it takes a while to find. I'd be just getting out and there it is.

Heading down the coast through the Catlins to Invercargill to spend a few days with Ruru_NZ but we need to find a few caches that I haven't cleaned up on the first trip I did down here. Won't get all of them but will do as many as possible.

Met up with KCN in Dunedin, and making our way back to Invercargill over the next few days. Mostly picking up gaps in her finds here in the Caitlins leaving others for me to get another day.
Looked among the wrong line initially but soon corrected myself and had the cache in hand. A bit damp - if anyone staying locally had the time to dry in the sun for an hour or two it would help. Nearly wrote over the etching of the finder earlier this week, but saw just in time and made their log clearer.

Found eventually after extending search area. Was found uncovered and returned with more cover. Muggles arrived with cameras so I had my coffee break before leaving to turn the heat up. TFTC Dropped a coin.

Having been to Nugget Point this morning we continued on our journey going west
