The perfect hiding spot for a geocache! Found quickly and retrieved using a sneaky lean. TFTC
With a trailer in tow, we were limited in what caches we could target, so why not park in this busy area? We were lucky it was a public holiday today, but still needed to be in stealth mode.We spotted the cache, waited out the pedestrian muggles still waiting then it was a nice, clean retrieval. Then we had to repeat the same process again.I cant imagine how busy this area is when most of the shops are open. Thanks team_coxy for the challenge.
Looked everywhere at GZ no cache found. Spoke to a previous cacher and he seems to think its been muggled.
Yas!Elated by my find down the road, I decided to give this one a crack too. I actually had fun retrieving and replacing this as stealthily as I could. How awesome it was to add my name to more than 10 years of cachers. If only I hadnt of come back to the car with a spider stowed away on my jacket!TFTC
Captain's Log #49Another long day preparing for my other hobbies national championships. With another local tournament win under my belt and confidence rising. But enough of that silly stuff, with 2hrs left in the day I was running out of time to get my find for the day. So scrolling through the list of nearby caches whilst I left the building, I noticed that this one will definitely be easier to tackle at night so why not cross that off the list. With not a single soul on the street the coast was clear. Man I can imagine how painful that would have been during the day! But regardless was a quick and easy find under the cover of the dark, thanks for the cache!
If I'm honest, this was my second visit here actually, so I suppose I owe it a DNF. There's really only one logical place a cache could be here but I never actually 'searched' the first time around as muggles were lunching merely metres away. I don't think I even peeked into the spot where I was confident the cache would be. This time around, the establishment was not yet open and I only had pedestrians to contend with and arriving at GZ, a quick retrieval was made in the first place I checked. I wandered around to the taxi rank to sign on the seat and then returned the cache. Perhaps muggles think the hiding spot is being used as a rubbish bin... Thanks to team coxy for placing this one.
Took a chance here and nabbed the cache quickly in front of the glass fishbowl of drinkers and diners. They were all too busy talking and indulging to take too much notice. Thanks for this cache team_coxy
#57 did this after having dinner at my grandma's late at night no muggles and the cache should be all right enjoyed this one took the trackable to TFTC
After finishing a meeting in this area, I had a couple of hours free. I opened the geocaching map to see what was around. These 1 had caught my eyes a few times but each time I had come, it was extremely busy. At least today, the road was busy but not the buildings. However between previous visits, including a drive by, I knew exactly where it had to be.
I knew I could play this find in 1 of three ways. The well dressed suited man with a briefcase waiting for a Uber, the tradie with High-vis or the lowlife. I have used all three before, but I went with my usual lowlife disguise. Pretty easy with my messy long hair, non-trendy ripped jeans and starring eyes.
Disguise working, I quickly grabbed the container in the expected spot, walked 20 meters to sign it, and quickly returned it on the way back. If anyone was watching me from the lights, doubt that they 'saw' me, or paid any attention to what I was doing.
Thanks for the cache Team Coxy

With geodog Tonka on a perfect caching weather day
Driving to Melbourne from Port Lincoln to visit my son and had a few picked out on the way.
Did this one at 7am in the morning on a Sunday hoping for not much muggle action and I was right. Quick find stamped and back on our way

Due to unforeseen circumstances Mr Smokey Bear will no longer be a part of Team Smokey Bear and will continue his adventures as "SmokeyBearOG".
So I'm relogging all previous finds under my new account.
Unfortunately this log will not show the original logging date.
**Thanks to team_coxy for this adventure, looking forward to many more.**

#17206 - 10:36:00 AM; In Melbourne for a few days on family business, but still time for a spot of caching when my old caching compadre made the trip in from Ballarat to visit. Our main objective for the day was to pick up a few more counties south of the border (south for me anyway ). Managed to add five more counties logging 9 caches, with a single DNF. No problems here this morning. we managed a discreet retrieval and return to add our names to the log. TFTC team_coxy
Out with LuckyL10n who was in Melbourne for a few days so a trip in from Ballarat was the order of the day. Decided on a drive out this way to clean up a few more counties. This was our next stop and once at GZ the cache was quickly spotted. Certainly helped to be here around 10.30 in the morning...no prying eyes for us to worry about...apart from the cars going by of course.
Thanks team coxy...a neat hide in the suburbs.

I found the cache then went into the bar to ask for a pen as i forgot mine in my car

Happily it was quiet here tonight and I only really had to contend with one might dog walker. Quickly found but took longer than expected to retrieve the container.

First off just wanted to say Happy 4th of July to all my fellow Americans!
After finding a few other caches today, the sun had set, but I was still keen on trying to make at least one more find. When I remembered that this cache was actually recommended to be done at night, as there may be less muggles around.
Well I needed a D4.0/T1.0 for my Phisy (P81) grid, so was really keen to try and make this find.
Luckily there weren't too many walking muggles, so just had to plan my approach for when the driving muggles were speeding by too quickly to pay any attention to me.
So I chose my approach time correctly and made a quick find. I then had to wait to the opportune time to return it, so has to remain unseen. Luckily it wasn't too long a wait before the cache could be placed make in its hiding spot, no one the wiser.
The cache was in good shape and the logbook clean and dry. TFTC.

Too many muggles, cache was still there, will go back early morning, be careful of muggles in the pub.
Some after work hump-day caching with RoamingHowie, targetting a couple of bayside LGAs.
Great timing! The outdoor seated area is closed off as it's undergoing a facelift, so no muggles to contend with today.
Thanks for bringing us here today by placing this cache, team_coxy

I needed to take a break from the last couple of days of planning so I teamed up with OzHockeyChick for some post work caching.
Stealth mode engaged. Although thanks to some nearby construction and it being later in the evening, there were few muggles to interrupt this quick find.
Thanks team_coxy for placing this gamepiece in the wild for us to find.

I've had my eye on this one for a while and after staying back for drinks today after work I figured now is as good a time as any.
Thankfully in Aus staring at people is pretty frowned upon. So I fixed the"problems" with my shoes, had a look around, making eye contact with the muggles enough that they'd avert their eyes and signed the log!
The plan worked and I left as quickly as I came. Makes you wonder what people get away with in plain sight
Thanks for the cache!

We arent really suburbs cachers, however enjoyed this cache for some different kind of terrain. Thanks!
On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird. I’ll leave the more interesting detailed log to Mrs Geo (aka: SeasonedBird, Salty Chook, the Old Boiler, Old Chook, Dirty Bird or Angry Bird) because she writes so much more eloquently than I and usually has much more time to do so while I’m driving. It’s a great day for caching. TFTC team_coxy

Found out caching with Wollaston following a great MEGA event at Wangaratta Mega.
Finding a park towing a Geohouse was possibly a bigger challenge a brilliant plan was concocted and the logbook signed, another JASMER cache knocked over!
Container condition good
Log condition full
Thanks to CO’s for taking time to set out and maintain hides and for showing us your very special part of the world
Log signed in first open spot with stamp

I was out to show a new friend all about geocaching but before we started we had some lunch at the pub and played the pokies for a bit before I checked and found we were basically sitting right on a geocache just waiting to be found! So after a very tasty meal I took him around to the corner where I immediately knew where it would be it was just a matter of which end? So we both checked an end and it turned out to be his end, he'd found his first cache! Yay!! So I just waited until the traffic died down then made my mark in the log book and added a little handful of swaps to the container then placed it back in its hiding place without a single muggle going by! TFTC! A good one for my friend to cut his teeth on!!
A very busy spot but the cache was a quick find here today
This morning after being woken up at 4:45am on the spirit of Tasmania we headed around the suburbs of Melbourne before making our way up through the Yarra valley and to Beechworth.
Thanks for the cache

Really got to time this right, with low traffic preferably. Very nerve wracking. TFTC
Nice easy find as nobody was sitting outside. Then just had to wait till the lights changed to out back. Cold/Winter is ideal for this one!
TFTC! Lucky the pouring rain meant no muggles out walking or outside, but lots of cars around! Had to time it right to get this one when the area was void of cars both to retrieve and replace!
Very quiet on Christmas day it was a good time to come I can see how this would be very difficult if there were people sitting outside the pub. TFTC
Driving back from a friends house and thought it was safe to find. Bingo! Easy retrieval TFTC
Nice day for caching with OSHFAM. Busy road. Have to use stealth. Thanks for placing the cache.

Perfect timing not a soul around for a quick grab and sign. This is the furthest I've been for the last 9 months. Hopefully today is another donut day #15, fingers crossed.

I have been waiting a while to do this cache but can't in the day because of muggles. But now was the perfect time. Quick find, TFTC.
Mrs frilk and I were on our isolation walk getting much needed exercise during these strange times. Although the skies were grey, the temperature on the cooler side, and the rain mildly persistent it was great to get some fresh air.
A quick find. TNLN. TFTC.
Note: hand sanitiser was used prior to handling the cache and after it's return

Luckily there wasn't anyone sitting at the pub so it was a lot easier to grab the cache! I dropped my pen inside and wasn't able to fish it out logged this one nevertheless
It was a great hiding spot and EXTREMELY hard to retrieve since there's lots of muggles. So we had to be really stealthy. TFTC A favourite!
Nice easy find in between Muggles.
Out exercising and with COV-ID 19 keeping the pub shut, this was a quick easy grab.

Why did we not figure this one out last time? This second attempt it was so obvious. Derrrrrr. Thanks for the local cache. Needs new log book.
Nice and quick find on a day of running errands. Did some shopping, now for a few caches. Thanks to team_cozy for placing this cache.
This one has taken awhile to get with high traffic and lots of beer drinkers nearby!
Despite Google telling me the pub was open until 4am, I thought I’d take a chance on the way home from the movies and luckily they closed up early, so I could finally get this one and continue my 2020 streak

Out for an early mornings geocaching, traveled from Croydon specifically to redress a few old DNF's that have been bugging me.
This being the first, it was an easy find at this time in the morning, although I did make it harder than it should have been.

I found this cache after 2 attempts, the first one leaving because there was too many mugglers. I was lucky on my second attempt, and I quickly wrote my log and placed it back. TFTC
Although this geocache was right out the front of the hotel, there were no problems retrieving it, as the customers were busy with their own things. The problems occurred when we tried to put it back, as there was one right-turning driver looking directly at us. I had my friends form a barrier around me so that no one from the hotel could see me, and I discreetly placed it in its spot while looking around. Plenty of muggles here. Spiral logbook is full, but there's a new unused log. Found with paratl and others. TFTC
Stuck in Oakleigh with a few hours to kill, this beautiful evening beckoned and I set off on a walking tour of East Bentleigh. This was the second of six finds tonight and a nice challenge.
Serendipitously, I happened to be in a suit and found it to be the perfect cammo for standing on the footpath outside a pub and tapping on my phone. I was invisible! I was invincible! I was a force of nature whose sole purpose was to find caches!

Out and about picking up gems for the Mystery at the Museum.
Lovely sunny day. High muggle activity around however I think speed is an advantage here to look the least suspicious.
The longer you stand there the more sus you look. So a quick grab was made without too much fuss.
Most of the muggles in their cars waiting at the lights were more interested in their phones or traffic. They drive off not even giving what they might see a second thought.
Foot muggles are different. You will have to make sure there are none about.
Log was full but still found a spot to sign.
Sheet of paper added to act as a log for now.
CO notified.

It’s 8.38 am.
It’s cold, 3.3 degrees, feels like 0.5 according to the weather app.
All is quiet. The school break traffic ambled past.
A quick snatch of the cache from its hide and I’m soon signing the log. It’s a fairly full log book, but there’s always a space somewhere to sign. It’s a who’s who of caching in the logs. Awesome.
Trophy snaps taken, the cache is reinstated to its hide and it’s time for moving on.

#10 for us noobs.. thanks for the cache.. we are quickly realising that the hints in the activity log can lead one away from the find... No magnetic field here that we could see...
Also log choc-a-block.. could only locate 2018 signs but activity log tells another story..
Out for our Sunday meander.. 2 more in this area to go..

I came past earlier and had a pretty good idea on location but the cache was not available due to muggle activity. So when dinner was mentioned I thought I may get a chance. This time there were still people but they were far enough I could do a covert recovery. I needed this number for my d/t chart so is very much appreciated and enjoyed making the retrieval

I love a cache in a busy area that is full of muggles. It makes me feel like a spy, or a criminal! Will I get away with it? I worked out where it would be and stood close and fiddled with my phone. Did a stealthy grab, sign and replace and no one was any wiser. Great location.

Riding around my old area by bike and this establishment goes back to the 50's when Dad would take me as a treat to sit in the bar. I would drink lemonade and he had a beer. Traffic lights here now as I thought the roundabout was so good. What about the old barber shop over the road. Too many memories.
No muggles in the beer garden and the cache was quickly retrieved. Log signed and all back safe again.

Out to find some caches in this nice sunny weather I’m heading into the inner city suburbs today to meet up with some friends and I thought I’ll leave early and grab some caches along the way. Tftc.
It was pure chance that I decided to go for this on a windy, soon to be stormy night. However, I did, and I arrived to find an empty pub, umbrellas down, and minimal traffic, making retrieval and re hiding a breeze. Thanks for the cache
