Thank you Storm Bear. What a great spot. I would have gone for a swim, but there was no lifeguard on duty. Cache is in great condition.
First of five finds to maintain my streak for another day. Spending today on lush bushwalks, seeking out waterfalls to unearth hidden caches somewhere out there. OCW geospouse Graubunden. As others stated earlier, we found the lidless cache. Logbook too dank + soggy so we carefully penned our nametags. TFTC Team Canary
With SurdiVisio, I quickli found it. A lovely unused swimming pool. But the log papers were soaking wet. Thank you!
Found!...FTF 2024 Gps is off, and cache was exposed, missing its lid,Needs urgent maintenance,Tried to hide a little better, although log is damp and mouldy
Chatting with someone yesterday inspired me to come up here to the mountains today, a beautiful autumn day.
I don't really know how I chose which caches to do but this was my 2nd stop.
I'm not sure where I left the geomobile was really a parking place but it was convenient.
It was a short walk through this pretty, weed free bushland, which I definitely would not have visited if it hadn't been for geocaching.
I looked back at the original cache in this location.
It's hard to imagine the area as a swimming spot now the bush is so thick.
(I've included the original photos with my log as I think everyone should see how the area originally looked.)
What an interesting place of history!
I poked around for a bit but found no cache, had it been washed away in all our torrential rain since the last find 5 months ago? Just as I was about to give up I had another idea and of course, CIH in seconds.
Cache in good condition and the pen - excellent!

Did not find, map keeps pointing everywhere, don’t know if it’s been taken, the fact that there was no hint made it harder, please make a hint.
Found ! We live super close & have never been here so thank you ! I have camouflaged the cache a bit more ️.
To help stop the spread of Covid-19, the NSW Government has ordered everybody to Stay At Home, unless you are: shopping for essentials, receiving medical care, exercising or travelling to work or education.
While some people would regard going geocaching as a form of exercise, exercising has been limited to your Local Government Area or within 10 kilometres of your home. Additionally people are not permitted to leave certain councils except for authorised workers.
Who knows how long this current lock down will last? What I do know, as a health professional, is that every one of us has an important part to play in helping to keep our families, friends and the wider community safe in the fight against the spread of Covid-19, by staying home.
Due to the health authority’s directive, my observations of people breaking the law and finding geocaches outside these rules and the risk that if an infectious person finds one of the caches and another person comes along they could possibly become infected, I have decided to disable this cache and request that no one search for or claim a find whilst this cache is disabled.
Thank you for your co-operation. I look forward to enabling my caches as soon as the Stay At Home orders are relaxed.
Stay safe, Team Canary.

Interesting area. We tried to work out how all the concrete bits fit together.

Little looking around no sight of it found a bit of hand railing still wedged in a bit of concrete that easily wobbled around which was kind of fun to mess with eventually found it in the end.
We found it. Just sitting on a rock now far in needs maintenance. Don’t think it supposed to be sitting there.
Yesterday geobrother (Dogwood53) and I decided to join up and attack a group of caches on the southern side of Lawson and Hazelbook. Well actually the Hazelbrook part morphed into the Lawson part, once we got onto the Cataract circuit walk. Beautiful overcast day just perfect for a good walk. Amazing how many young people and families there were out there – great to see. We will have to return soon and seek out the caches in the wilds south of here.
Amazed about the amount of history in the middle mountains area, did not know about the Hazelbrook baths. We found this cache accidently, quite some distance from where the the GPS was telling us it should be (although the readings were pretty erratic in this area) and replaced it where it was found. Storm Bear might like to check up on this one. TFTC

Having recently grabbed a bag of caches on the north side of the Highway at Hazelbrook with geobrother (Forereach) we decided to launch out again today but on the south side this time. Weather forecast was not promising but we spent a lovely cool morning on our mission before showers started in the early afternoon. We passed a number of walkers on the tracks including John the "Captain" of a Korean bushwalking group from Sydney who was doing a recce for future walks. This one was eventually found about 20m from where the GPS was indicating lying on the ground amongst the ferns beside the track.
We were out caching this afternoon with geologic2 and after having succeeded with their help in retrieving Canary's Dilemma 11, it was time to head to an easier find. This cache was spotted from a distance, as it was in the obvious place. Both names were added to the log book and we had a look around this area where we have never been before. Thanks go to Storm Bear of Team Canary for this cache placed in a beautiful part of the bush.
While frazeydaze attended a course on how to use her new GPS at Katoomba I took the opportunity to do some caching in the mountains, Starting at Hazelbrook and finishing at Katoomba I visited ten caches. This was the first cache in a lovely peaceful spot on a sunny winters morning. On the walk to the cache I saw the remnants of a set of concrete steps which may have or may not have been from the old abandoned Hazelbrook Pool. Thanks for showing me this spot and TFTC Team Canary.
Found the cache on the side of the track 30m from coordinates, put it back in the small overhang I’m assuming was it’s original location
Interesting place, dad explained the bistory to me and my brother. Imagine being here back then.
Streak Day #1636 - Out with dave8153 completing some hidden dates for him, was looking for wrong size but then we found it. TFTC
Out today with Snoopy1976 doing some caches that fill in some hidden date finds. This was our 1st for the day. Took a few minutes to find as we were looking for a larger container than what we found. TFTC
Going shopping for parts this weekend. Hopefully the cache will be in the next week.
Didn't find the cache despite looking for a while. However did find a small, empty container a clip seal bag and pen on the rocks. Possibly muggled?
Found on our way with dogs. Easy. Nice spot. Greetings from germany. Nothing in or out.

My husband poked around and saw it. the container was full of water and the log saturated so will need major maintenance. Interesting place to find.Myhusband knew of old pool so that made it easier.
A short walk & a quick find. Expected a bigger cache but it was still an easy find. Our one and only mint tin of the weekend. TFTC!

Letunechi, geopup and myself headed off towards the mountains for a day of geocaching. This was such a beautiful place to be. We didn't think that it was a medium though.
Luckily for Calypso62 and I the middle junior canary replaced this cache for us to find today. We had the junior most canary come along with us to this marvellous little spot that we would not have seen if not for geocaching. What a great little area. If only those rocks could talk, I imagine they'd have a few stories to tell!

A really enjoyable stroll to GZ with Skyebomonkeytown with Junior Canary leading the way. The recently placed, (like 10min earlier), cache was soon discovered and the log signed. This is an interesting spot that I enjoyed visiting. Special thanks to the Canary Clan for your lovely hospitality this afternoon. I very much enjoyed our visit. Cheers!

Cache has been muggled. All I found was the "This is an official Geocache" note and a pen. No cache, no log book. Looks like the replacement needs a replacement.
I had driven right past this before having to make a U-turn somewhere to get back to the start of the track, With the clear signs of constructions which pointed out that this was a dedicated path at some point (the staircase lying horizontally on the ground indicates that was a while back now).
The cache was soon in hand. BTW THAT is NOT a regular sized cache.
Thanks

#291 drove past this then had to find a spot to turn around, got a spot to park & walked to GZ where spotted the likely hide. Signed & replaced as found. TFTC
Found with Shuckypoo, Harry and Jenny. Haven't been here for ages! Great spot for a cache. Took the trackable and took some photos! we bush bashed in and found an easier way out (as is the way of the geocacher) TFTC
This cache highlights just one of the draw cards of geocaching. What a great hidden gem this location is.
Dropped snowball TB.

this is the kind of cache area i like to find, hidden, obscure and unlikely to be found except for local knowledge or caching. after sorting and taking out the broken swaps I packed the rest into a new small container but then the pen didn't fit, well i wasn't carrying a bigger container so i placed the pen just near the cache instead. tftc team canary
Would love to go back in time to see this pool in its prime. The cache isn't in a container... Log book in plastic bag and is dry, but the 2 or 3 swaps were loose behind the rocks.
I'd previously driven past this one and (for some reason) there was no parking. Drove past this evening on the way home and there was plenty, so I stopped to grab the cache. A great little spot that I'll definitely be back to visit again.

No container, contents all behind a rock, log dry and signed. Tftc, awesome place. I love it
It's amazing the places you are taken to while out caching that you would otherwise be the wiser. SL TFTH
Found this cache at 3:25 pm while staying in Katoomba for the weekend a picking up a few caches. We had to sit in the geomobile for awhile until the storm had past over. It was a nice little bush walk and the bush smelt so fresh.
Thanks Storm Bear of Team Canary for the hide.

Working at Selwood House for the week, I had an opportunity to grab a few local caches in the quiet times. I had no problem here, as I was able to park the geomobile close, and a short walk had me at GZ, where the cache was in the logical spot. This would have been an amazing swimming pool when it was functional, shame to se historic infrastructure go to ruin. Thanks Team Canary for the cache.
