A day in the hills followed by the event at Hardinge Park, with plenty of caching in between
Out in the hills today for an event at Hardinge Park in Orange Grove. Met up with Leg5 and 777Tiger to grab some caches prior.
Finally got round to grabbing the final here today. Spectacular views! Shame about the tree vandalism nearby however. Cheers Bear_Left!

Planned a morning in the hills hunting caches today. Found McFonz would be in town so teamed up to talk down a few puzzles, trads and multis.
Found the first around 7am and the last around 12:30pm. McFonz tracker said 19,500 steps and over 14km walked, a good day out!
Thanks to all the COs. Great time of year to be put here. Wild flowers including orchids everywhere! TFTC

Out in the hills hunting down some multi. This is the third one we have found but the terrain in these parts is pretty exhausting for a couple of old facts so we may soon call it a day. TFTC
After doing the LAXA lab caches i decided to stop and do 2 of the Bear_Left multis.
Enjoyed the walk and knowing the container needed replacing i brought one with me. The container is now a regular PVC container. TFTC Bear_Left

An extended day out with B12 started the morning in Kalamunda area and then ended the day on an evening drive towards Lakelands.
Great views to start the day and a lovely cool breeze for the evening, thanks Bear_Leftfor placing and maintaining this cache for myself and others to find.

Had guessed where this would be having looked at the satellite images.
The container appears to have been found by muggles, as the clips on three sides have perished and there is a large crack in the body of the container.
Headed out East of the City to the Hills areas of Lesmurdie and Kalamunda to cleanup a few caches that have been on the radar for far too long.
Managed a good few hours of caching with a dozen finds in beautiful surrounds and finding a good range of puzzles, multis and our personal favourite traditional caches.
We really enjoyed the number of vistas over the foothills areas and the central business district. Can see why many people choose to live in this part of the world.
Thanks to the local COs for their caches.

I have looked at this multi many times before but never been able to understand what it was about... Today, whilst I was in the area I decided to see if I could find any other clues that would lead me to GZ Still totally clueless as to what it was, I decided to go for a bit of a walk & see if I could find myself a cache anyway I won't mention just how much walking I did do, but I did find the cache [^]
TFTC Bear_Left Although the online logs suggest this one hasn't been found since 2015, the logbook says different & it seems that a couple of muggles have found it 2016. Cache contents were in good condition after taking out some crap that shouldn't be there, the container itself is starting to get brittle but I managed to close it up with out braking the clips.

Omg we did it !! Not by the puzzle sad to say!! It was a educated guess where to look !!! Over 1 year to do this ... Would love to know how to do the puzzle !! Thanks bear left
I think I've understood the first two parts of the riddle. But the hextet part has me completely stumped :-/ and without that the first two don't mean much! Any hints?
Yay finally found this beast of a cache.(Rogues way)
After going from GZ to WP1 so many times and asking CO for hints I was too pushy so i just sent off trying to do it Rogues way.
Sure enough for me it took me almost 1 year to find and sure enough i got it before then.

Fav from me coz of all my different adventures

Joined forces with richlink and JacobsCrew to find a few caches in the Kalamunda area. We enjoyed this multi, which was in excellent condition. Thanks Bear_Left. LNTNSL
After finding a nearby cache on the same track, ventured on with JacobsCrew and iluvtrekking to complete this well thought out multi. Located a big container that hadn't had a visitor in 9 months, lots of goodies contained therein, although we didn't trade. Thanks Bear Left.
Beautiful weather with another big caching day with Richlinks and Iluvtrekking, in the hills this time, Fantastic cache and view.. TFTC
Replaced the weathered clues and increased the Difficulty rating, based on the trouble people have had with this!
Some guidance gratefully received after 2 failed attempts. The biggest mistake I made in this puzzle is that I did not consult the resident genius geo-teen. But armed with what I had I disturbed his study and asked him to look at it. He gave me that look and said "what's not to understand?" as he wrote out the correct coordinates.
Of course in hindsight the cache page makes perfect sense and is very cleverly put together.
So pleasant to come here in daylight and enjoy that magnificent view. Plus the wild freesias were magnificent. Thank you Bear_Left for a great caching experience.

Exactly a year ago I attempted this multi. There was thunder and lightning and all things frightening. Somehow the bad weather again accompanied me. I didn't know you could attach such attributes to a cache. But then again, the CO is a master in the caching world and may have special privileges.
I thought myself clever and with a cryptic clue tackled the final GZ. Well I did come across a most magical spot, worthy of a cache but must concede that I have got my solution wrong as no cache was found. Woe is me! Now my daughter will have to do another year of drama so I can come up to Mazenod next year with her (Performing Arts competition) and hopefully 3rd time be lucky. Thoroughly enjoyed my walk and exploration even with the DNF.

Stopped by on the way home from a mountain bike orienteering event at Pickering Brook. Its not often that I look at the caches of the Ursus Maritimus and go 'yep, got it'. Stopped close by and wandered to the first point. Took me a couple of minutes to spot the needful but it was all top speed after that. The final cache was in a very good spot and very well stocked. SL TFTC. Favourite point from me
Come back and admired the puzzle - excellent one... enjoyed walk along to the cache with excellent view... No swap. Signed the log at 3.15pm. Thanks Bear Left.
Not logging a DNF (yet). Parked on Basildon and walked up the pathway. What a walk! Fancy coming down that on rollerskates!! Noted something at both WPs and drew myself a little picture. As it was pouring rain I sat in the bus shelter and tried making sense of the clues and what I had discovered. One bit made sense. But the rest befuddles me. (Is there such a word?) Not certain I was on the right track and being on a tight schedule to be at daughter's drama performance I didn't search for the cache in the dark and rain. But will be back as this has got me enthralled.
Only noticed this cache while doing those in the hill below on the weekend, and then it was getting too late to go back up. Just as well, as it wasn't the 'normal' multi, as I discovered when checking it out back home. Had no idea, so gleaned a good clue from a previous finder as I knew I would be in the area today. But even so, misunderstood the cache instructions and managed to stuff up the coords. Then re read the cache description and realised there was another waypoint... and adjusted accordingly, but even then managed to stuff up. (I used to be blonde!) Eventually got it right and to where I should have been and after a bit of a scout around managed to find the prize. A very clever multi. Enjoyed the views, even in the misting rain, then made my way back up to the top.
Thanks for the puzzle and the lovely big cache Bear_Left.

OMG! Biggest lizard ever lives with this cache!
Finally found this with help from ROuge (thank you).
Have been working on this for some time, even checked out this area
before. Really well stocked cache but I had nothing on me worthy of a swap.

Very very pleased to have found this one. My dentist will also be pleased as he reckons I am grinding my teeth at night, presumably because I am trying to work out Bear_Left caches once again. I am also amazed how I "cant see" even though I am looking. Fire has been through this area fairly recently but the cache has thankfully missed any damage. TNLNSL. Thanks Bear_Left
I will record this as a GAFF 0.5 find. I like looking at Bear Left caches because of all the pictures. I have absolutely no idea what they mean or how to uses them.
Maybe Bear Left will conduct a Master Class and enlighten me on what they all relate to so I might find some of his puzzles.
Took Geocoin CITO.
Thanks Bear Left.

STF, after more than 3 months. I can't believe no-one else has been out here!
This cache has been on my to-do list for quite a while, and this afternoon I came out to try and find it. To my credit, I parked in the right place although my sat nav was insistently pointing me somewhere else.
I then got some exercise heading up to the listed coords, and searched around here for quite a while but didn't find anything. Not really knowing what I was looking for, but I was kind of hoping there was going to be a small box with some of the pictures from the listing, so I could do something with them to work out the coords.
After searching for a while I headed off to the second WP, the East coords (DEF), and searched around there, hoping to find something. Again, I didn't find anything like what I had in mind, but after searching for a while I did notice something peculiar, but couldn't see how it would help me. So, I headed back up to the listed coords for another search, but again didn't find anything.
Eventually I gave up and headed back to the car. I had a fair idea that the cache would be hidden in the area near where I parked, and I have parked here before, looking for another Bear_Left cache when I didn't have the puzzle solved... Anyway, given the information about the nice views, and knowing that Bear_Left hides are usually in easy, obvious locations, I decided to go for a short walk, and see if I could see anything. By total fluke, I had the very large cache in hand minutes later!!
I was pretty excited to find the box, and noted in the log that I had no idea what I was supposed to find at the WPs. While trying to decipher Chwiliwr's log, something clicked with what I had seen at WP2. So, I took a reading on my GPS, so I would know the approximate coords I was looking for, and decided to go back up to the 2 waypoints, and see if I could use the information I found there somehow.
I headed up to the listed coords first, and confirmed that this location had a similar thing to WP2, and it didn't take me long to work out how I was supposed to use that, together with the information from the pictures in the listing. Ahh!! I went home feeling very pleased to have not only found the cache, but gone back and solved the puzzle too
A very enjoyable cache, and yes - great views from GZ. I also left Phil's CITO GC here. Thanks for the walk and the cache Bear_Left!

(chwiliwr team catch up log)
Chwiliwr thought that he had sorted it out but when we went to get the ABC DEF we found that he hadn't done it right so after a bit of thought whilst watching the sun go down worked out what he should have been doing. We then worked out the correct GZ. Found the cache at 6.50pm and was joint *FTF*. Even at this time of night the view was beautiful.
Thanks Bear_Left for another excellent cache.
