I was after a nice quick trad for today's streak cache and have had my eyes on the NMA peninsula for a little while in the hopes that such things may be found there.Arriving at closing time was a good choice on my part, as the cafe had shut up shop and I had gz to myself! The cafe staff were still cleaning up inside so I wasn't prepared to do anything ridiculously outlandish lest they witness my antics through the window, but my phone camera wasn't picking anything up so I had to duck and check things out myself. It was there that I got a proper idea of the structure's composition and was soon able to identify the perch where the cache was placed. My name wound up in the logsheet and I enjoyed the remainder of my afternoon walk around here. Thanks to AmethystPig for placing this here!
Thanks I found it with my 3 best friends my friends havent done it before so it was a fun little challenge
Thanks for the cache! ?? Saw some cute cockatoos while looking for the cache Found with TK21EST
Quite a lot of muggles around so had to wait for the perfect moment. Tied our shoelaces a few times and eventually got sight of the cache. Signed and returned to its place. Found with TC216.Thanks for the cache!
The cache is full of different logs and hence very messy with all the logs scrunched up in order to fit in the cache!
Nice!Finished up at the museum and decided to grab this one! Got to GZ and with the hint in mind, started searching, and we had the cache in hand!Nice one, TFTC!Coolabah OUT!!!
Found on a beautiful afternoon, following a visit to the Ancient Egypt exhibition. Too cold for any Muggles to be sitting outside, so was able to bend and hunt in peace. TFTC!
Had to get at least one cache while we were in Canberra for a summit. Way too cold to do more thoTFTC
I came out for a run with a work buddy to introduce him to caching. This was a quick easy find (at night). The 5th of several finds of the night.Greetings from Oxfordshire, England.Find number 1913.
Yep hint is spot on!!! I had a rough time searching as I was wearing two jackets and it was quite a lot of clothes. Just right for outside walking but not agile for caching or looking under things!TFTC
Having a bit of a wander around after a fantastic visit to the Egyptian display. Spent a bit too much time feeling for something a bit more magnetic before stumbling on it. Kept an eye on the pollies the whole timethey need watching!
Im out after work collecting clues for a multi cache. I grabbed thus trad while I was in the area. Thanks for the cache, AmethystPig!
Found it after struggling to search stealthily! When I finally found it I discovered I had been sitting on top of it whilst taking my second break from the search. TFTC!
we got some lunch from the museum cafe and came down here to sit in the sun. thought wed better open the geocache app to see whats around and happened to be right on top of this one TFTC!!
Accidentally just sat down where this was, so this was a very nice lil surpriseTFTC
Up in Canberra from Melbourne to attend the Capital Geobash over the Easter long weekend. Our last full day in Canberra before we head towards home tomorrow. Found after visiting the National Museum of Australia.Could do with a new log as its very tattered.TFTC
Thanks for the cache AmethystPig.Visiting Canberra over Easter to see my son and daughter-in-law, and to attend the Capital Geobash. With the family back at work today, I decided to do some 'touristy' things, so off to the museum. Enjoyed my visit and afterwards grabbed a few caches nearby. This was a nice quick find.
In Canberra to attend the Capital Geo Bash mega event. I attended the Queanbeyan Mega event a couple of years ago which is when I did a lot of the touristy things. This trip was more focused on Geocaches. There has been an abundance of new high quality caches published since my last visit so more than enough to keep me busy. Quick find here. All good. Thank you AmethystPig, for placing Looking for the eclipse - The Big Bang for the geocaching community.# # #14506 # #

A nice quick find while doing the virtual that is close by. Thanks AmethystPig for placing and maintaining this cache
Found it. Nice and easy. The couple nearby thought I was seeing how the bench was made and commented, yes I'd like a bench like this in my backyard.
Out for a night cache with Tweety2 & Tilda241 while in Canberra for Capital GeoBash. We approached this one after abandoning our attempt on a nearby trad when loud snores were emitting from very early GZ. So here we are and this one was a lot quicker and smoother. Admired the lights on the water for a while and moved on. Its very serene here in the evenings. TFTC!
After aborting mission on the last cache around the corner, this one proved a breeze.

Full time Nomads, travelling around Australia since 2014. On the Capital GeoBash Paddlesteamer tour first up this morning. What an awesome tour, fun and informative. A foggy start when we drove out the driveway but it cleared only 500m down the road. After the tour we stopped for lunch (missed out yesterday so knew to make sure today) joined with 80degrees, m4yb, megawatt60, and barb2e with lots of chatter and maybe even introduced a new cacher. We were headed back to Parliament house but nope never got past ANU before stopping at a couple of linear AL's in town before racing back for the munzee event and our prebooked roast chicken dinner.Found this with the tour groupl. log signed at PS24TFTC AmethystPig

That was easy. The trip bit.Easter geocaching festival of twenty twenty four. This time it is the turn of Oz Mega GeoBash MEGA event in the nation's capital. It is time for a road trip across country to Canberra in the Sporty Pajero Sports. Freddo and Gridge98 traveling from Adelaide via a strange inland route that takes in scenic rural locations, dusty roads, punctured tyres, overheating batteries, various tools of the trade, special campgrounds, and lots scope for many many geocaching finds. Along the way we saw running emus, jumping kangaroos, wandering deer, dead foxes, herds of wooly sheep and stray steers.Arriving in Canberra we met our colleagues e.gregory1, featherwaite, team walron, courtney rose, davidwazza, e_smilie, and georode, signing as ABP, plus a huge group of other like minded excited mega geocachers attending event after event, and more events.Day one. Adelaide to Broken HillDay two. Broken Hill to WellingtonDay three. Wellington to CowraDay four. Cowra to BathurstDay five. Bathurst to CanberraDay six. Canberra to CanberraDay seven. Canberra to QueenbeeyanDay eight. Canberra to AdelaideThe generic bit.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach.
