Could not find this cache . Spent a while looking on to other caches in the area
I'm really surprised to see this one was found yesterday despite another series of DNFs - I had a cursory look today in the likely spots, followed the hint for the third time and left with several more mozzie bites than I wanted to. Oh well, hopefully I'll find it fourth time lucky.
We couldn't find it either. Lots of muggle traffic, so maybe someone has removed it.
In the area for a couple of days working in Maffra, with time to grab the odd cache or two.
Nice spot to ponder the world as it is and maybe what it could become... nah, just grab the cache and get out of here. Nice quick find.
Thanks for placing this cache MADSTARS
Grabbed TB to move on it's journey.

The gardens around here are beautiful and we even saw a couple of peacocks on the walk up to the cache. I remember running around lake Gutheridge for cross country in high school so it's nice to see the council have established beautiful gardens. One of the geo kids found the cache TFTC
Was in Sale today so I thought I would tick a couple of MADSTARS hides off the list, this one needed a bit of stealth as the council gardener was working nearby. TNLN TFTC
A quick retrieve with geoteen#2 as lookout. As for putting it back...a lovely gentleman ended up chatting with us for about 30mins. And I'm usually up for a chat. No TBs seen. TFTC

1st find for a long time. Found this after school with geo Cruz. Took the fish. TFTC
The rains had filled the lake right up and the cache floated away.
Cache now replaced and a new TB from Fiji Placed. Enjoy

Hunted for this one for a while but no luck, not sure whether I had a moment of cache blindness or its gone missing .
Took new friends to the park on gutheridge pde and decided to introduce them to geo caching,
We located the gz and had the cache within moments
Great one to start them on,
All the kids loved the scenery and walk too was a great day

Thought we were going to have to wait when there were people there but all turned out well them being fellow cachers thank you for the find
Decided we would walk around the two lakes after the "flash mob" event. Also decided to be old "kids" and grab the two caches on the way. Did not find any crocs however enjoyed walking where we have never been previously. Left a ladybug eraser for the kids. Thanks MADSTARS for the fun.
Bumped in to some fellow cacher's just as we got there. I think we all just stood there waiting for each other to leave, lol then we all clicked that we were after the same thing TFTC TNLN SL
Found with kids and there grandparents may have turned them into new Geocachers. Great little cache.
Took my dogs for a walk on this one. Besides collecting (from them) a shopping bag of poop it was a great cache to find
Took a friend for her first geocaching day. She is hooked now too! Like a kid in a candy store- but we were unprepared so TNLN.
Thanks for a great hide. I too had to hide as muggles stood over me enjoying the view above.... Not detected- feeling very spy like with all this covert stuff. My friend ended up in fits of laughter (after the coast was clear) and thought it was great!

Very well hidden! Fun cache to find, be wary of muggles though walking past.
Our first in Sale , thought this would be a quiet place to start. HA! what a busy place, with all the fitness fanatic's running around we found it hard to replace. Pretty spot. SL TFTC MADSTARS
It was a nice walk around the lake, lots of birds and a couple of nice chicks as well...
Had to wait a few times for walkers to walk by.

The park here is very impressive and the kids maize and the climbing wall are great ideas. I could get to like this area.
At first I forgot this was supposed to be a very easy find and nearly ended up the "creek".
Very good. TFTC

Started off today on our first Geo-caching holiday. Our intention is to drive from home to Earth Cache 1 Wasp Head NSW and collect as many finds on the way as time allows.
Great walk. Thanks Madstars for binging us here. Many times we've been through Sale but never stopped here before.

Looked under and over and all around and couldn't find this one. Will try again when there are fewer people around and it's not so cold!
Lots of muggles appearing and jogging round the time we found this, but managed to duck in and retrieve it in between them. Quickly signed the log and returned and were on our way.

Checked on Cache today... Somehow the geocaching rule of replacing what you take doesn't apply to my caches. Unfortunately this one is empty again.
I will endeavour to source more toys in the future and put them in.
Hopefully future cachers will abide by the geocaching rules and replace what they take with similar or better items.
Could you imagine if that really happened....
If it did there would be gold bars in there after a year or two.
Dropped off two Bugs.

1.15pm 1.00pm While Mr X was working in the area I took the advantage of checking out a few in the area. Parked the car on the grass as the park was full today. It has been the best day for sun for quite some time and the lake area was beautiful to walk around from another cache close by. Got to the platform and needed to stay a while some muggles moved on. Nice easy find. Now back to car only to realize I still have the biro in my hand. A quick return to replace it.
Thanks for the cache Madstars just loved the area you have chosen to place your caches.

Found on a dog walk around the Lake as part of a Sale caching day. Have enjoyed finding all the Madstar caches today. TFTC.
Today was day fourteen of our excursion out of Tasmania touring from Melbourne to Canberra and return via Gippsland. After staying in Lakes Entrance overnight we completed some more caching in the town before going to Sale where we spent most of the day. When we came through Sale a little over a week ago, it was raining and we had little time to hunt for caches but today, the weather was fine and we had about five hours to explore this lovely area. Late in the afternoon we drove to Traralgon picking up some more caches along the way. It was a very enjoyable day.
We really enjoyed our walk through this part of the Sale Botanic Gardens. The whole complex is a credit to the foresight of the early elders of Sale and to the current local council for the high standard of maintenance and development. Again accurate coordinates led to a quick find. And, even more relief - no crocs today! TFTC MADSTARS.

I was in Sale today for work,
After knocking off I headed off to this cache and two others close by.
I did the other two before tackling this one, as the walking track around the main lake was over run with school kids.
I still had to wait and pretend I was Croc watching, No Crocs seen but plenty of waterfowl. (Not a bad feed for a Croc I would think)
When the coast was clear I soon had the cache in hand and SL. It took me longer to replace than it was to find. ( A bit bit more Croc watching was required) when the coast was clear I quickley rehid the cache before the next lot of muggles passed through.
TNLN
The TB Army Guy 2 was not in the cache

On a trip up to Sale with smac24, thought we'd stop off and sign the logs on a couple of 'easy' lakeside ones.. but wow, muggle central or what!?!!! Looks like just about every person and their dog/children/prams were out in force, enjoying the gorgeous weather and a stroll/jog/run around the walking tracks. Ended up taking much longer than expected due to the constant interruptions but we got there in the end!! Thanks very much Madstars for the hunt and for the extensive practice we got in at making ourselves look like innocent tourists.
Loverly spot here in the gardens, but not a croc in sight - I did look!
We parked at the sundial, and walked around past all the sculptures, an interesting collection. A good sized cache here.
Thanks, Robmc.

Don't know about crocs but there are skeeters here the size eagles....bring the aero guard!
Just checked our cache and dropped off a TB we had.
It is amazing how you just keep forgetting to drop these little suckers off.
Anyway the little Army Guy 2 is on his way again.
Cache is in great condition.

We won't say it was a easy find...... but we are really glad it was. . Getting toward the end of a long hot day, it was really pleasant to visit this area. How beautiful and well kept. Everyone in Sale must be super fit though, we had to dodge so many runners to get this one.
This is a fun cache... Many muggles...we actually found our first geo coin here and are now taking it on its request to mountains...
Found by Mary & David at 1045. Such a relaxing spot. Pity we couldn't stay longerr tpo enjoy the lake, but we have more caches to find! Our thanks as usual to MADSTARS.
A quick detour on route to Bainsdale. I was looking in the exact loaction but kust needed to show a little more respect ! fast find in the end TFTC SL
First time and I loved it. Took my husband and brothers in law. Took a minute to find but I thinly we have the hang of it now. Took nothing.
Found at 9:54:56 AM GAFF1. Never been to this part of the gardens. It is all so green and flourishing, which is a huge change from a few years ago.
Glad that there were no crocs here - they would probably be only freshies in any case
Thanks MADSTARS

I have family in Sale, so it's many times I have walked around this beautiful lake before I discovered geocaching. Nice easy find - my kneeling and praying worked wonders. Thanks MADSTARS for bringing me here again.
Great view over a peaceful lake early in the morning. Dropped off Okinawa Geocoin and took TB. Thanks MADSTARS!
