Apologies for the delay in updating this geocache. Unfortunately, the hiding place is no longer safe to re-establish the cryptex as it was completely destroyed. We've been on the hunt for a suitable relocation, but haven't found the perfect place just yet. In the meantime, we have no choice but to archive this listing.
Thanks for the amazing messages those of you who found it left - you certainly made us smile at the thought of the surprise on your face when you found it! That's the spirit of geocaching that we love!! H&C

I would really like to know the status of this cache. With all the favourite points it has earned, I was looking forward to finding it. As it's been 4 months since the CO's last contact here, I'll place this NM log in the hope it draws some attention.
Because this was local we thought we'd give it a try despite the lack of recent findings. No luck! Would appreciate an update from the owner as to whether it's still in place.
what a shame! hadnt checked logs before putting in gps. found the spot in the photos and it is not there. a bit miffed that it isnt here. this is one of the major reasons we cached up here today! next time!
Disappointed to hear that this has potentially been muggled. Will go check it out on the weekend to be sure, but it's not looking good. Thanks for the notes baekno and Calypso62.
Unfortunately, it's a DNF from me too! Arrived at GZ and found the broken bits of timber that perhaps was a camouflage for the container. We widened our search but no luck. I contacted two PAFs who indicated we were in the right spot. I really hope this one has not been muggled. I really wanted to complete it. It's on the watchlist to see if future cachers find it.
This one seems to be a must-see.
Such a disappointment I could not even find WP1. Expanded the search area, but GPS kept coming back to the same spot over and over again. Something on the ground caught my eye. Found three pieces all together, and I do very much believe this perfectly shaped thing cannot be here by pure chance. Most likely this did cover the cryptex, of which there was unfortunately no sign anywhere around? CO feel free to delete the pic I post for your reference. Would be glad to hear I am mistaken and the cache is fine, but honestly fear it got muggled

Work finished early today so decided to go out with Footyfanatics and cover off a few in this area. Co-ords are spot on. We found ourselves dodging a family showing an interest in us and their new toy helicopter. My first of this kind and it didn't disappoint. Level 1 protection is damaged and strewn across ground. Level 2 and the contents are moist. Inner cache however are fine. TFTC.
Found it on an overcast saturday out with evangt. A nice easy find and loved the camo, a favourite point from us. We also found the pen belonging to Gibbo455, we'll keep it safe for you. TFTC
For some reason my log has not sent....
I seem to have a habit of being on the wrong side of a creek but luckily I could cross this one without any trouble.
I followed the arrow to likely hide and soon had the outer container, getting to the log book took longer than it should have....
I took the hint but it wouldn't relinquish the log, I tried another word but it didn't work either.
I decided my first word was correct so tried again but still no joy......I redid it and this time I was rewarded with a container!
Think I may have dropped my pen at GZ and think I wrote 30th instead of 31st.
Where did the first month of the year go?
Fantastic cache!

I decided to spend a few hours taking the kids to some of the most-favourited caches in the north-west, and this is deservedly at the top of the list - impressive, most impressive. We parked on the road and headed into the bush, crossing the "stream" and avoiding the branches. It didn't take long once at GZ to make the find, well the first one. The outer container was fairly loose, so we had the "main event" in hand, and took a seat to figure out the code. A-ha! A quick turn later we had the bison in hand. The tweezers appear to be long gone, but we were able to get the log out and sign without any issues. We then joined all the pieces back together in the right order, and left very satisfied.
Thanks for a quick and very fun cache!
Thanks for a quick and very fun cache!
I love the caches that have and inspire imagination like this one. If only Id used my imagination earlier so that I could have remembered to bring a pen so that I could sign the log. ; )
Best cache ever! Loved the cryptex felt like I was apart of the da Vinci code haha thanks.
Found with lgp2013 and djtroy

Found on our way home from work on a beautiful sunny summer evening. We quickly found the outer container then relaxed on a log to open the cryptex, pluck out the bison and sign the log. It was a bit difficult replacing the outer camo of the hide as it is in pieces but I think the cache is fairly well hidden. We really enjoyed this one, thanks harroandchook.
This one was fun. There are no tweezers present but luckily they weren’t needed today; once we peeled off the layers we had no trouble extracting the log for signing. Great idea, thanks harroandchook.
Loved it! Neat hide and then a little puzzle. I tried all sorts of complex interpretations of the clue until I realised that it was the simplest solution!

On a previous visit to this location the Gods started throwing lightning bolts at us so we retreated to Baulkham Hills and did the shopping instead. Found myself back down this way again, so pulled up and found the "egg" after a short search, previous finders had really jammed the camo back in. Took it back to the car thinking it might take a while, but in fact it was fairly quickly opened and signed. An interesting one that could be fun to solve without the hint. Thanks harroandchook.
I really forgot to log this one. Now I am back in Sydney looking at caches to find on the weekend and this one pops up. Immediately, thought I was there, the pictures confirm it. So it happens to me, too. I forget to log caches, even though they were fun. I am getting old...

Great cache and hide. Bought back memories of the Da Vinci code. Solved the puzzle with Adacache. TFTC.
Thanks harroandchook. Great location and we had a lot of fun with this one!
Great cache, lots of effort has been put into this one.
Easy parking, very quiet spot, a pleasure to find. Nobody seems home - Long weekend?
Really like the work on the hide. Went back to the car to sign, and in the meantime, a frog hopped into the hiding spot. Almost put the cache back on top of him when he hopped out.

We went in search of this cache this morning to make it Day 69 of our streak.
We parked and went walking towards GZ.
Within seconds we retreated and got ourselves big sticks to clear cobwebs from the path we were taking to GZ. LOL! To any one looking at us we would have looked like a couple of blind people with canes tapping through the bush or like two people having imaginary sword fights with two invisible assailants........
But we eventually made our way in and retrieved the cache within a cache within a cache. Headed to the GeOta and opened the next two levels of the cache, only to find the log was full. We placed a peice of paper in the cache as a temporary log. And the returned the cache in a cache in a cache to its hiding spot.

Now there's something you don't see every day. This is a great container which begs to to become a multi or a puzzle which would raise the anti somewhat. Still glad to have made the find and solved easily durring our caching visit to this lovley area. SL..TFTC
Great idea for a cache!
The initial camo is falling apart a bit, but it's still able to be put back to hide the cache. Had a lot of fun with this one
Thanks!

We had a friend along to see what was so good about geo caching so when we saw the number of favourite points we thought this would be a good cache to start with along with a number nearby that also looked promising. We pulled up and soon realised we had to jump the creek (all good). A bit of a hunt around and we soon saw some camo. We opened up the cache camo and were confronted with the moment of truth with the combo puzzle. First go and we had it open. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC
last one for the day . What an awesome cache thanks for sharing it with us. . favourite point for you
Cache find number 250!!! Our third of three finds on International Geocaching Day 2012. After seeing all the favourite points that this cache has collected, we thought it would be a fitting one for our 250th find. Mrs S made an initial reconnaissance of GZ, but decided against going in too far, so Mr S made the find. The container was opened without too much trouble. We're giving it a favourite point, too. TNLNSL TFTC.
This was a very interesting container. I went a bit too far into the bush and got some seeds stuck to my clothes. Luckily they weren't too prickly. We got to have some M&M's after finding this cache to celebrate Mum and Dad finding 250 caches.
When Mum got my pram out of the car, she discovered it had a flat tyre, so I got to walk to the cache. It was a nice walk through the park, and I enjoyed the M&M's after we found the cache.
# 1349- and No 3 for the day-Just loved this cache! Where on earth did you get it? I got to the spot and thought, having read previous logs, what's so special about this? It really pays to read the description and hint in order for things to make sense. Thanks for "my pick of the day" harroandchook!
I went along with geocaching sensei sidoney to this one, noticed something afoot and soon came across the cache... but the hint was too easy! I was hoping to be stumped like Bilbo and his friends outside Lonely Mountain. Maybe if I make a cache one day I can be evil like that.

Good hide and great idea....
Worth the favorite points...
Thanks for setting this up

Excellent cache idea, could easily have missed it and spent hours looking but our more experienced eco friends found it easily. Not too far away from the truth either

Another favourite point for a well constructed cache. Nice spot, excellent camo and container. Third of harroandchook's found today. TFTC
Very nice! Vividly remember reading the Dan Brown book. Glad we came across this one as we nearly missed having it on our list for the day. TFTC

This is a great cache... I want one,,, would love to know where you got it from, or better still, where i can get one... Great cache all round.. A1
Found it today on an 8 hour caching spree with club_bindi and JYGE.
Oh my God.. This cache is THE most well engineered contraption I have seen in the wild to date... I love it, I want one. As we were walking to GZ, it ended in a running race to the very obvious hiding spot for this ingenious cache. We sat and marvelled at it for a little while, then replaced it and moved on.

On a stopover in Sydney on our way to the OZ Mega so an opportunity to pick up a couple of caches and chose this one as it had the most favorite points and we were not disappointed in what we found. Great cammo and then the egg and criptex to top it off. We enjoyed this cache and it deserves another favorite. [^] [^]

[WOW what an awesome cache! Can't imagine the effort and time and money gone into this... we thought we took a lot of effort to make our caches! Such a fun adventure too! We sadly were about to give up since we were meant to be at a friend's place in 5 minutes, and it was a ten minute drive away. Oh well, we thought, 5 more minutes of searching. Read through some logs and bingo!] Hint: it's up [Took off some nice camo to reveal the egg. Inside the egg, a super awesome cryptic code thingy! Now, hint time. Read the hint, ok then, that's obvious... but worth a try! Yep that was it. Soon revealed the bison and the log. Thanks for a great adventure! We only got to our friend's a little late! Definitely a favourite. I'd give more than one if I could.
Another classic harroandchook cache. Only 2 more of yours to find. I think its one of the best caches ever!!! TFTC!
Found it today..clever location.. most interesting. We dropped off amore the bear to start his journey.
Great cache. First cryptex that I've found. Loved the whole hide. No tweezers in it though, just as well I had a pair in my geocaching kit (no geocacher should be without a pair). TFTC
I was really looking forward to finding this one seeing as how it is so highly rated! But alas, couldn't find it even after half an hour of walking through every possible spider web
Took Geoneighbours on a trip treasure hunting along with Geokids. Had a great time finding this one. Loved the cryptex. Solved easily and signed the log. Thanks heaps for a fun cache.
Thanks for the cache!(you_cached_me was here) - Posted from my iPhone at Ground Zero! - amazing! Abbreviated names used on log, thanks!
What an adorable cache. I had been told about this one by Minyakano so while I was in Sydney he took me to visit it. Thanks for the cache.
What can i say. Bravo. This is without doubt the most enjoyable cache i have come across to date. Thank you very much harroandchook.
WOW! I've never seen a geocache like this before! At first I didn't know what word to enter into the cache so I thought I'd try the only word that would fit..... TFTC, NazzoR
PS. The 'egg' had a bit of water in it, no idea how though

Got to GZ and started my search with my trusty IPhone sending me all over the place. Had to be a bit cautious as spotted a couple of muggles walking past, then resumed my search. You know how you get those caches where you're searching and searching and can't find it then you look up and see something that catches your eye, and you think "could this be where it's hiding"?? Yep that's how this one turned out - was a few metres away when a possible hiding spot caught my eye - walked over and sure enough my instincts were right. Tried cracking the code but out of respect to the CO's I didn't try and force it as I didn't want to break it. Anyway will return one day and try again. Top marks again to harroandchook for their creative hide - I can see now why this one's got rave reviews.
Anyway that's me holding the cache TFTC

Well! I got to this one and went no way couldnt be. I love the craftmanship on this one! What a brilliant cache. Havent seen one like this around before and loved it. Had fun getting the log. A very very very NICE cache!
Another day too hot for caching - went to the homemaker hub at Castle Hill to enjoy the aircon. But there is always time for one so thought this must be worth checking out with all the favourites. Well they weren't wrong, a great hide and something very original within. TFTC!
12.05pm, GAFF3, we arrived at GZ and it did not take long to locate the cache.
We had to look at the hint to work out how to open this gadget.
This was the highlight of the day and worthy of a favourite !
SL, Log will require replacement.

Down from Queensland for a weekend raid with Tassiegirl13, Gunnie69, Kaisho53, Ghost Gums, lochb, La Kedi, an Rebel Acts.
With eight of us on the job we soon had it found.
But what a very cool cache container, we certainly enjoyed this part of it.

The first night cache for a group of us in town to tackle some NSW caches. I should say the first one with the sun fully down and no light...
We headed inbound across the creek and arrived at GZ. The cache was found quickly but... WHAT... that's not the end... [?]
The final twist was unraveled onsite and the container was in hand... Phew, that could have been a whole lot different... Business done, the container was reassembled and placed back in its lair. A very nicely crafted cache indeed, well done...
Cheers harroandchook.

Excellent hide and container! Really loved this cache, made me smile a lot when we finally figured out how to access the log book. Though I'd have classified this as a puzzle more than a trad! Thanks very much for the hide . TFTC! =^.^=

Found at 1.35pm GAFF1 and 4 in the company of Blackie_71 and Browngang. We wanted to do this cache when we hit Sydney as it was the most favourited cache, so we were looking forward to the adventure. On approaching GZ we quickly spotted the cache hide and then it was over to Blackie_71 who had already worked out the code - however only after looking at the hint.
A nice piece of "machinery" in the bush.
Thanks harroandchook.
Feedback: You cannot possibly work out the code without the hint therefore the hint should be in the cache description.

After work nothing better then a 10km walk to do some more finds a bit more far from the Hotel... this was the 5nd and best of the day, week, month and year .... nice cryptex, enigma solved with the help of flashlight of my smarphone because it was night already....
