10-Jun-12
Muggled. No time to create another one at the moment so opening up the location for others to step in.

02-May-12
alot of DNFs please check this one..

02-May-12
Looked for this one for some time..without any luck.. may need to be checked.

02-May-12
Visited it today on an 8 hour caching spree with club_bindi and JYGE.
Too good for us today...

25-Mar-12
We had quite a look with no luck.
Searched the clue up on the phone, but it didn't load.
Should have checked the number of DNFs before coming here.
Maybe it's gone? Could CO please check?

23-Mar-12
Couldn't find this one but we didn't have a very long look as there were council workers walking back and forth carrying thse big bags. Didn't know whether to stay or go so we had a bit more of a look and went to look for another cache. It's a bit of a shame that 2 of harroandchook's caches have had alot of people say they might have gone missing but they always have such good caches. Maybe we will come back another day to try again.

20-Mar-12
Have had few looks for this one without finding it. I see there are a few logs saying "not found" so I suspect it has gone

10-Mar-12
Another DNF for the day. Spent a good half hour crawling all GZ before giving up. Will come back once someone else produces a find.

02-Mar-12
Had a look but based on previous logs it wasn't going to be too easy for a noob. Maybe next time

28-Jan-12
Had a big long look around but to no avail Sad got caught by a muggle too, he looked at me as if I was insane! Made lots of new friends with the local lizards though

22-Jan-12
Having taken a lot from the clue, this one proved a reasonably easy cache. I checked a few likely places and then there it was, a very well crafted and positioned cache.
Thankyou harroandchook

15-Dec-11
With no kids around and under the cover of darkness, this cache was quickly found. Surprising given the size and location.

05-Dec-11
This one got the better of me, a DNF I'm afraid!!

Tks ... harroandchook ... GazMag

27-Nov-11
My only dnf for the day. Searched for over an hour. The little lizards who were trying to hide themselves from me in all the rocks must of ate it! Looked all over that bridge and rocks. Oh well cant get them all

20-Nov-11
10.55am, GAFF3, we had a hunt around, and as per previous logs we placed our hands on the cache about 3m from GZ according to the GPSr.

SL, cache in good condition.

TFTH harroandchook Smile

19-Nov-11
Nice and Easy Thanks

18-Nov-11
Searched for quite a while without success. Then just as I was mentally writing a DNF, there it was! I thought easily within 4m of coords so quite ok. TFTC

12-Nov-11
Down from Queensland for a weekend raid with Tassiegirl13, Gunnie69, Kaisho53, Ghost Gums, lochb, La Kedi, an Rebel Acts.
With eight of us on the job tonight it was eventually LochB who soon hit the right spot.

TFTC.

12-Nov-11
Found after a short search with Bedmaker, Gunnie69, Kaisho53, Ghost Gums, lochb, La Kedi and Rebel Acts on our Sydney caching weekend.
TFTC

12-Nov-11
Maybe not the best cache for a night hunt as it turned out but we where here so it was on...

Having our group searching with torch beams shining here & there thankfully it was a muggle free zone...

After extending the search area a bit the eagle eye of LochB made the connection with the cache...

TNLNSL

Thanks harroandchook...

12-Nov-11
This one brings the tally for the up to 60, now for some sleep. Thanks to harroandchook for the cache.

12-Nov-11
Note to self: get a torch that has a beam slightly larger than a 20c coin if going night caching. Happily, my torch was not needed for this smilie. TFTC. =^.^=

lochb showed her ability to see in the dark in finding this one, not sure we would have found it otherwise.

Found while spending an enjoyable weekend finding caches around Sydney with Gunnie69, Kaisho53, lochb, La Kedi, Tassiegirl13, bedmaker and Rebel Acts.

12-Nov-11
Oh, this one could have had a very different outcome as we decided on a night hunt and it was probably not conducive to picking this one off with any level of ease... Surprised

On site as a group, the clue was worked out but, we were faced with lots of options as a result... Hmm... Twisted

We got into the hunt asap and searched a number of places. Nothing... [?] What about here, or here, or here... NOPE. Grr...

Lochb extended the search radius a little and within a few seconds, found the very neatly done cache... That's crafty... I like it... Wink

Thanks for the effort and for the cache harroandchook.

12-Nov-11
Found in the company of the MCBC - 2 of us from Vic, and 6 from Qld - on a weekend raid of Sydney caches.

Found in torch light tonight. TFTC

07-Nov-11
This was one of those frustrating ones. As soon as I got there I looked for anything obvious, checking each spot quickly before moving on. Then I looked at the hint, scanned the past logs, checked what the hint meant on Google and came back to where I started - finding it quite obviously hidden in a spot I'd looked before!

BTW, it's now a nano not a bison!

28-Oct-11
Found at 2.10pm GAFF5 in the company of Backie_71 and Browngang. Took us a few minutes to locate as there was a father and his midget muggle playing just a few metres away. The cache was also found about 6 metres from our GZ which makes it tough for a micro search, but not impossible.
Thanks harroandchook.

28-Oct-11
Found while caching around kellyville. Nice clever hide tftc

28-Oct-11
Found on the way to a caching blitz in Canberra with Blackie_71 and pprass. tftc. Good container, had us looking for a while.

13-Oct-11
After parking the car some 50 metres away, Geodaughter and I notice that there was a young couple and little boy at GZ. So we went and played on the big slippery dip. The couple were teaching their little boy how to throw stones into the water from the bridge, must have waited 20 minutes for the young family to leave, only to discover that they to wanted to play on the slippery dip. So Geodaughter and I went down to the creek pretending to be looking for lizards. and looked in the most obvious places, but no cache. Zeroed in on GZ and noticed a spot that I hadn't tried before and soon had the cache in hand. Thanks H&C for the cache (So tiny)
Cheers

Relogging my old finds.

09-Oct-11
Found this nice well hidden cache with extremepc and draganssi. This cache almost had us ... but a little more searching and we had it in hand. TFTC

09-Oct-11
Despite the description saying you didn't have to get wet I still had fun standing in the shallow stream while looking for this little bugger. Found it... as always just before we were going to give up, did a phone a friend but that didn't really even help.

09-Oct-11
A bridge too far, is a cache destined for the DNF pile. Too many options make this cache a haystacker and one I'm not likely to spend much time at. The local kids nearby also made me want to head off quicker.

09-Oct-11
This cache almos has us ... but a little more searching had it in hand .. TFTC

09-Oct-11
With a little help from some local friends !!

07-Oct-11
As soon as we arrived at GZ, I started checking underneath the bridge. I was about to give up and then.... there it was!! Great idea although the cache and the camo were both extremely smelly and the log book was extremely wet. The last person hadn't screwed the cap on vey well. TFTC, NazzoR Smile

PS. I didn't exactly get the hint [?]

12-Sep-11
A tricky spot. if you dont use the clues you go straight pasted in.

A bit of a wet day today with light rain. Still managed to get some good caches located. Soon had this one found. Good hide. SL TFTC

Another close-to-home cache off the list. There were a few issues with the container lid, but some running repairs got it sorted. Sensible Sis did most of the work on this one - Mr S provided the clue. TFTC.

28-Aug-11
This was a great park to visit, and I think it was the tallest slippery dip I'd been on. I had fun listening to the frogs and watching the lizards near the cache.

28-Aug-11
Second time lucky with this one on an unexpected caching trip with Sensible Shoes and Shoes Junior. Very clever hide, simple but effective. Unfortunately Sensible Sis wasn't so sensible and dropped the lid and of course couldn't find it again. Made a quick dash home with the cache for a replacement. Hope nobody was looking for it in those 10 minutes. The lid now doesn't match the container but doesn't change the cache in any way.

I haven't seen one of these yet but that all changed today! This is an EXCELLENT hide. It looks real!

Another fantastic find, found with aniisawesome and akkatracker.

Nice quick find, hint is a good one with holyman54! Still good effort here and enjoyable. Signing log once the kid is off the play equipment...

The party was running when we were there too! We even had to dodge them when they went to the playground. Kids can do anything without looking sus!?!

TFTC.

03-Jul-11
Another cache, another party nearby! We think each Harroandchook cache is a reason to celebrate, however the people in the nearby house were probably muggles, unaware of what lay such a short distance away.

Not being up with the pop culture we resorted to google to interpret the clue. GeoSon then ran off and grabbed the cache in a few tens of seconds.

This was the final cache of those placed so far. All have been a joy to discover. Thanks so much.

23-Jun-11
All is good again, the bridge too far is back in action. I had to make a new cache but it is all good. Same co-ords, same camo, same hide. You will need tweezers to help with log extraction. Happy Caching.

18-Jun-11
Sorry everyone, this cache has been mugged as part of some council work that is taking place at Ground Zero. Once the works have been completed the cache will be back.

# for today: 5, TOD: Early morning, Conditions: Fine, Cache Condition: Excellent, Others:Nil, Notes - Nil

Ah - another Harroandchook adventure. Thought I would not be able to search for this as there was someone lying around near GZ. I wlaked past him and noticed him fast asleep. The GPS kept bouncing around up and down the creek, leading me on a merry chase. After flailing around like this for 15mins I put the GPS away and resorted to rat cunning.
Well what do you know - had CIH within 2 or 3 minutes:)

Another great hide - thanks harroand chook. Cache is in good order although maybe a bit loose.

PS- I am a bit worried that at my age I know who Dwayne Johnson is!!!!

We need to get out more. The clue meant nothing to us two old far**. Just ran it past TLM Junior and he told us what we now spent 15 minutes trying to figure out.

Found a bike and a scooter but that doesn't give you a smiley. After an exhaustive search finally found the little blighter.

22-May-11
Found by nanny and Bo on a warm Sunday afternoon.
We had been here before with no luck, but after speaking to the cache owner, we went straight to GZ and found it within seconds.
Why could we not find it before? We had examined all things in the clue with no luck.

Great cache google the hint tftc

15-May-11
Arrived at GZ, had a look around without much luck. OK, let's check the hint which made some sense though I had to google the person's name to find out who he was and what he did - there is one advantage to having a work supplied iPhone. So my initial suspicions were correct and I just needed to keep looking. Eventually spotted something that looked like it might have been it and it was. Getting the lid back on the tube was a bit of fun but got it lined up in the end. Thanks harroandchook.

01-Apr-11
As usual we came the wrong way to this one, and ended up at a tubular fence which we couldn't climb. Satanas666 squeezed through a 200mm space in the tubes, he is a skinny bugger, while I stood back. At GZ he motioned that a much easier way was available, and we soon had two useless cachers looking to no avail.

Off to the paf, and 'Oh there!' Thanks harroandchook, just like another find we had today.

26-Mar-11
Nice spot to just rest while contemplating the hint. Seemed cryptic at first, but then logical once found.TFTC

26-Mar-11
The first problem I encountered was trying to get into the park. I tried parking in Lindsay St as recommended but was stopped by a fence with padlocked gates. Drove around to Coronation Rd and had no problems from there. There was a jogger doing laps around the park so I sat on the seat for a while until she had gone. Looked for the cache in between walkers, a park near a polling place on election day probably isn't the best place for undisturbed caching! Had a few quick looks but didn't come up with anything. Will back on a hopefully quieter day.

26-Mar-11
Managed to track down this cache inbetween the numerous people walking to and from the school for the state election. Took us quite a long time searching (we were there probably about 11ish ...not sure when sensible sis was searching!). The lid of the bison tube was screwed on pretty tightly but we managed to unscrew it in the end. Time ended up being a pretty much equal split between muggle avoidance and cache-hunting lol. TFTC =)

18-Mar-11
Found on second visit.... Went the first time, and there were workmen nearby. Tried the usual "I'm sitting here meditating and looking at my phone" trick, but it proved too difficult to look. Fast forward a few weeks, and there were no muggles on approach on second visit. I began looking at the usual places... then a muggle came out from his backyard to hose down some ?gas cans. Who hoses down gas cans in the middle of a weekday? Had to sit back down to " meditate" again. After he went back in, it was time again to sit, and look, move, sit, look. Found it after a few tries. Not your typical troll cache, and kind of expected from H and C. TFTC!

16-Mar-11
I hadn't been here before, so a new pair of eyes and a "women are from venus" kind of thinking gave a different perspective. Within a few minutes we'd turned up the goods. Another good cache from you, harroandchook. Clue was very useful. This was my 666th cache but wasn't the devil's work for me! TFTC

16-Mar-11
I usually log DNFs - I don't actually have many - but I see I didn't get around to this one from a few weeks ago. There was a grandmother and her grandkids playing very close by and I had given up pretty quickly. Today, when I returned with the WaywardWoman, there was no-one to disturb us. Suddenly the clue made sense, and the description took us to exactly where we needed to be. We looked in about two places, and the WaywardWoman had it. Clever, yet so simple. Thanks

15-Mar-11
Found this one nice and quickly, and quietly replaced it whilst i had much amusment watching Geotooter search and search and search untill finally he found it.
Nice hide. Have favourited this one as I found the effort put into this one should be a little more rewarded.

After Smurfyguy parked the car in the appropriate spot, we found GZ quickly. However, it took a bit of time to discover the location of the cache - yes Smurfyguy found it first. Why do the clues always make sense after you find the cache. SL TFTC

Hint makes sense once you find the cache Wink Thanks for the cache B.T.WBig Grin

10-Mar-11
Had to wait for the GPS to settle before it showed the accurate way. It was not what you usually expected for this type of location. Although "harroandchook" like to do things that keep the old brain cells ticking over as I've discovered with some of his other caches. TFTC.

Cache Hunt 301; GAFF3; Weather, Sunny/cloudy; Helpers, none; Cache condition, Excellent Find of the day, 2nd - STATUS - Found

Came to gz and thought I'd pick up this one easily. Oh yeah, I've seen the Troll caches!! Hmmm, well, not like them now is it Red Face Read the logs, and then went to GAFF3 and checked the hint. Straight away I knew what it was, just not where it was. Came back around bridge and checked a few more. Then wouldn't you know it, I rechecked an item, again, and with a better look, there the cache was. How annoying! I'd picked this thing up already. Anywho...SL and returned. Cache was a little hard to unscrew, but it came out in the end. Nice camo and spot. TFTC, again harroandchook Big Grin

And this one makes 3 FTF in one morning. Big GrinBig GrinBig Grin A nice collection with Geobud "IfeelU" it took his eagle eye to pick this one another great effort by "harroandchook". TFTC.

16-Feb-11
After the "Things Aren't Always..." cache I thought I'd drop by here to see if I could grab it, knowing the FTF was long gone. Got to GZ without using the GPSr but a muggle sat on a nearby bench reading the paper for the longest time. I wandered around looking more suspicious than if I'd got straight into it then came back and he was still there. Next time I looked he was gone but by then school was out and the park was full of schoolkids. Never got a chance to look so will come back with geoboy who can look under there, better him than me by the look of it!

16-Feb-11
I was very amused to see that iFeelU was FTF for this one. But I can't tell you why!

These little silver bison containers are popping up here and there in the northwest of Sydney and sometimes -- like here -- they're being used quite creatively.

I didn't take my GPSr out of the GeoBuru when I went to look for 'The Bridge Too Far' because I thought I had it all worked out from the Google Maps. I did in fact find the cache quickly, but I think I was lucky. This is quite a good hide, showing real creativity! Sometimes I have a good day and other times I miss the obvious.

I was also fortunate that there was absolutely no-one around when I arrived at GZ. As soon as I replaced the cache, a man with a briefcase walked through the area and eyed me somewhat suspiciously. Of course, I gave him my usual cheery greeting! And there were a number of dog-walkers and other pedestrians in the general area. Nice to see that everyone in Castle Hill is getting plenty of exercise.

Anyhow, I found the new little container in great shape and the log scroll was nice and dry. TNLNSL.

Many thanks to harroandchook for a clever one! I had fun.
