Very nice bridge on a really lovely walk. Lots of birdsong today as well. Cache is all good . TFTC
Didn't have a good caching day today. Need the hints quite often. But nevertheless a nice walkTFTC #879
This had me little puzzle. Eventually put my hand on it. Not sure it where you put it. Place it as found. Tftc.
I decided to make this cache my final for the day. I had walked along the bird track and needed to head back to meet up with S-i-l and Junior. They were with our Niece and her new son, NS. We had traveled up from Manawatu the day before and this walk was just what I needed to iron out the body from sitting in the car for so long. I was also very careful to watch not only the path, but also what was above my head. A few weeks ago I had walked another bush walk with 10 other ladies. Well, I didn't think to look above me. The next minute I literally got knocked out by a large overhanging branch. All the ladies saw was me doing a somersault in the air and landing on my head/neck. Thanks be to God for His protection, as I was soon up on my feet, carrying on my merry way. I am delighted to say I walked in and out without any dramatics. Thank you, ZL1ubk for this cache.
A quick weekend adventure away with some of the Team SEAC crew..ahhh its been so long since we did this!!Things got serious for this onea torch was needed!! Took a few minutes and soon had it in hand. Very well secured and out of sight. Thanks for the cache.
A small group of us from team SEAC (Keylev, Stik-a-crane & Uncle Sam) came down this way for the weekend. Neat to have walks like this so close to town. With intel from the campground owner about walking times we decided we could easily do this before dusk. Hunted for a short while, re-evaluated, then made the find in an obvious spot. Signed SEAC to save space. TFTC.
This one took a bit of searching for, but with located with some extra light sources.....Was down this way with Keylev, HeMaLuDy, and UncleSamNZ, for a quick 2day trip to the Galatea foot hills, we had an earlyish, start from Auckland, our little group decided to take another stop here to continue the cache finding.Signed in as SEAC to save logbook space.TFTC.
Weekend away with my geocaching buddies from Team Seac. Took a drive down to Whakatane on Saturday and did the Bird Walk trail, then went to Galatea and did the foothills trail...that was a long 20 km's return trip...but got most of the caches. Thanks to the CO's for placing the caches. We had a great few days exploring the area. All logs signed "Team Seac" or "Seac"
Decided to get a few more caches whilst in Whakatane for the day. A nicely tucked away cache on a great little walkway. TFTC
Second time lucky! Then forgot the pen to sign log. Have foto for proof of find.
We are on a big 2 week caravan holiday in the North Island.... lots of driving so far. Staying in the Thornton camp ground (Fantastic) for nights 9-12. Today I conned hubby into taking me to this track... his knee is a bit sore (good excuse) - he's parked up down at the bottom under a tree while I walk this track looking for 4 caches.
This cache is still here - tucked away underneath.

We have never been to Whakatane so added to our holiday North Island school holiday road trip. Wow it is a flash bridge compared to the rest of the track. We took the opportunity to find a few caches while in town. TFTC
We are down from auckland to visit family and its our first time along this track, what a lovely spot! We found some painted shells along the way to here too which the kids re-hid. Replaced the log sheet in the cache and added some swag, Fav point from me for the lovely walk and location, thanks for the cache!
On a spur of the moment roadie with NZ Flossy after seeing these new caches out. I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these cache. Many Thanks for bringing us here. Cheers sneaky hide.
Found! Was reluctant to get dirty as going out to dinner tonight but managed to stay clean. Love the birdsong at this time of the day. Tftc
Nice solid bridge...easy find as your co ords spot on!
So I kept nice and clean....good level track to from Whitehorse rd .
Would have been cool to see it helicoptered in!

Glorious day for a walk, lush and green, plenty of birds. Took a little while to find, but an application of logic re ferrous metals soon had the cache in hand. Signed and returned and continued on our way. TFTC ZL1UBK
Staying with friends nearby.
Out for a walk this afternoon on these tracks to collect the four caches.
This one took a bit of effort. I eventually had the prescience of mind to remember that I have a torch on my phone. With that on I spotted it from the other side.
The locals tell me that this bridge is a big overkill at great expense - lol.
Even helicoptered it in.

Had look at this on the way up but had no joy. Decided to head up the hill to the next cache and then PAF when I got a signal. This proved very useful and resulted in a quite and not very dirty find when I came back down. Log is rapidly turning to mush and could do with replacement. TFTC.
Even though it was a bit on the wet side this was an enjoyable cache...the rain was more misty than heavy but some shelter from the bush helped for a good walk ...arriving at GZ and I had lost coverage on the phone so it was a bit of hit and miss ....after a short search around geo sense kicked in and on a second look I spotted something out of the corner of my eye ...yes what a clever placement I soon had the log signed and returned ...thanks ZL1UBK for a great cache
The rain was starting to get uncomfortable but still warm. A few other crazy people out walking the track too. I had no data coverage here so no hint or information. We looked in the obvious places then had a second and third look before something caught our eye. Very well placed cache. Thanks for bringing us here ZL1UBK.
Over in Whakatane geohunting with my niece (ltemaipi) and as we got to GZ she raced ahead to find this one since I'd found the last one. GPS told us we were right on it but Miss 12 wasn't willing to touch anywhere that spiders might have been! In the end Auntie had to locate this one. Really clever little hiding place and beautiful location. Definitely deserving of a favourite point. TFTC
Please give us a other clue so we can come back and do it again. Please message is it stuck to the bridge
Picked up a few cobwebs, lost a bit of blood. It's a nice track, but not such a friendly hide. TFTC.
I am going to visit a lot of different countries on my travel tour around the world! At the moment I am staying in New Zealand. Of course I also try to find some geocaches on my tour. So I have visited this Cache as well. It was a beautiful place which I reached by a nice walk!
Thank you for hiding and best regards from somewhere in the world!!!

Had a good search for this one but we came up empty handed. Just not looking in the right spot I assume.
My son and I were in Whakatane for a trip out to Whale Island (Moutohora Island) and we still had energy to burn so afterwards we came here so sniff out some of the local hides. This cache was found quickly and in good condition thanks to good coords and a straight forward hint. Cheers ZL1UBK TFTC.

Cool in the valley today. Pleased to have a break in the walkers on the track to work on retrieving this. Tftc.
Came over from Rotorua today to get a few caches this being the last as the three year old decided she wasn't walking to the next cache. Nice easy find once at GZ the kids then played in the stream before we headed back to car will have to come back to finish the last cache of.

Could be a tricky find but determination gets it a lot faster. Definitely need to have a pen handy.
Needed a good blowout today after a long day at work so tackled the birdwalk. Came to the likely spot and soon found 2 caches...only signed 1 log. TFTC
Found this cache today after looking twice before, there are now 2 caches here, i would suspect the original one might have been placed with the replacement, Glad to have it now! found with StripesNZ
Stretching the legs after the boat trip to White island, decided to do part of the bird walk. Not too hard to find, always get my knees dirty though...
Nice find in the place you would expect it. Bird walk a nice stroll after a White Island trip. TFTC
Thanks ZL1UBK for replacing this cache. Wasn't initially planing on heading up this track but as I got a message that this was replaced I put it on the list to visit. Parked at the bottom of the hill and headed up the track to the cache. Was a great walk, with the sun coming through the trees, took about 15-20 mins to get to GZ, and a quick find once there.
Any chance this can be looked at by this weekend? Planning on heading over this way on Saturday to do some caching. Cheers.
A real tricky one. Interrupted my run to find this one. Didnt know what true left meant, until after i googled but nonetheless I was searching in the right spot.
Any hints? Me and bridges and magnets always have a hard time. I think next time i will park at the top and walk to the bridge. Too hard going the long way again.

Took a bit to spot this one - nicely hidden. Another enjoyable run in a great area. TFTC
This was a very busy spot this morning so took a number of very short forays under to spot the cache and return it.

The second part of the challenge that Kiwi69 and I set our selves. Heading onto the Toi's part of the track and begining the walk heading Ohope to Whakatane.
Nice little find and a great little stop. At this point the water looks very inviting

C&D & I were on a mission to walk'n'cache Toi's track: loving the walk & enjoying the finds. Too hot, though; the water looked really tempting today! Didnt take long to spot the sneaky little container, TFTC
Took a free ride to Whakatane this afternoon. Brother came over to do his regular two-hour job, so a bit of cache hunting should eat up some time.
Walked in the persistent rain. Arrived at the bridge, and the search began. Ducked here, rolled there, and came out on the other side filthy... and with the cache. TFTC.

Special treat while under the bridge was the sight of a duck floating down the river with a bunch of 15 tiny fluffy ducklings following her. So damn cute !!
Great walk/wander in grand surroundings!
..... she has always meant to do it, and now she has after an assorted son dropped us off at the top .........
Straightforward find, TFTC!!

Nice walk on from other cache and with help of one on either side found it. SLTFTC
Great day to be out and about caching. Cache soon found after the jogging muggles were gone TFTC.
Had to wait for a family of net fishermen to finish and go home before we could find - bit of a reach
Good walk - kids in the creek having a great time - found cache once they left - need long arms TFTC
We parked at the lower carpark, and walked up. Lovely to hear all the Tuis - cool bridge! Mrs L a tad concerned about what was holding it up [8)]; TFTC.
Havn't run through Birdwalk in a very long time so by the time i got to the bridge was ready for a stop [xx(] had forgotten how busy this track is - almost got muggled and met heaps of people I knew out for their exercise. - tftc
