Like a needle in a haystack. Thanks geokid for your good eyesight. Thanks for bringing us here. Loved the cars.
Log is full, squeezed my name in between others. Sorry had no replacement, had gone walking with phone and pen only.
A great perspective of the track here, now I know how close they get to ocean. Thanks for the hunt this evening, my second PI cache.
My phone took me about 5m from where I evrntually found cache. Nice container. Log is full but managed to squeeze in. TFTC
The last visit today with LHE Duo before we head onwards to go and visit the Penguin Parade tonight. However it was also nice to make the stop here to see the race track and the view over the beach here as well. There were some cars going around the track and just one person watching otherwise for my find the muggles were no where to be seen.
I was kind of a little lucky that Mr LHE Duo had already found this one as arrived and started following the GPSr and whether it was the trees or the area I don't know but I was already 10m past the cache and it still wanted me another 10m ahead. Mr LHE Duo called me back and I spotted a likely spot on the way back and got my name on the log.

Decided that adding an extra cache to the list wasn't worth walking through an area clearly marked "no entry" especially considering others comments on the state of the ground around it... Would suggest moving it to a spot where people are actually allowed to go.
Found at 11.30am with the roar of engines disturbing the peace,
Lots of rubbish around, the cache made me smile.
Thanks

We had a day trip to Phillip Island, Hubby wanted to see where the V8s raced & I was more interested in the penguins. We saw some great sea views, visited the chocolate factory & of course the V8 circuit.
The caches were numerous & well placed it was a thoroughly enjoyable day.
It was so clear today we thought we could see Tassie.
Thanks for placing this cache megabogan

A very big day on Philip Island getting as many caches as possible done today. This is one of the traditional caches that we enjoyed doing while taking in some of the sights. .Thanks to megabogan for hiding this cache.
Finally our travels have bought us close to Phillip Island. A fine day and awesome scenery made this a caching day to remember. We ventured from spot to spot admiring the changing scenery and enjoying the different hides. Thanks to megabogan for placing this cache.
It was Tough Mudder day on the circuit today, so as we parked the car there were these muddy, exhausted competitors struggling up the hill beside the track. Fortunately the cache was hidden from the track, although I'm sure the competitors thought we were there to wallow in their misery - they were the least interested muggles you could imagine, with still a long way to go at the end of an obviously exhausting trek. But for us it was a simple stroll down the off the beaten track to locate this impressive cache. TFTC
Some much rubbish here, I didn't know where to start! Lucky the ammo tin was so large & I found it easily : )
Miss GG, Team IMP666 and I were down for the weekend watching some motor racing, and decided to grab a couple of caches while we were there.
The track was looking fantastic, would love to see it after the rains
Thanks for the cache megabogan

Darknstormy, Team IMP666 and myself were visiting the island this weekend to watch some racing and sight see and as we were very close to "Siberia" we had to make a slight detour to find this one
its been a great weekend and look forward to visiting again in the future

Over from Adelaide with Miss GG & Darknstormy to inhale some good old motor sport fumes. May as well get a cache or three.

Took a little while to find this one. I was actually poking around in the right location at first but didn't find it but after some searching I went back to the obvious spot there it was......Cute cache TFTH
Dad spent a long time trying to find this one. I waited while he looked everywhere and signed the log when he found it.
Didn't find this one but didn't look for long as we were covered in flies! Now I know how to get into the GP for free.
Easy find i think this cache had been muggled and was left laying on the ground ive put it where i think it was

This area is marked as 'No Entry' by a sign at the carpark area. I'm not sure if this is a new feature or not, but does indicate that this cache really shouldn't be here. I'd suggest moving it to somewhere else. The amount of trash at GZ is a good secondary reason for moving it too!
We'd driven down here to have a peek at the Tough Mudder course going on next door, and from the carpark you could see plenty of exhausted people trudging along the fenceline.... Luckily they were all too exhausted to look my way so I headed down to GZ.
There I was met by a pretty filthy location, trash everywhere (did someone say they'd recently cleaned it up?? Must have been absolutely appalling before), and it wasn't really a site I wanted to hang around so, with people waiting for me in the car, I gave up the search before I even started.
When I returned to the car I then got scolded by my 9yr old as she pointed to the sign saying 'No entry' to this area which I'd missed on my way in.. Hmm.... Glad I didn't hang around then.

Found this one without too much trouble, however getting to the GZ was more of a task. Wish we bought our gumboots with us today! Maybe you should consider making this cache a CITO. TFTC
The area has had a huge clean up. This time it was a quick find. SL and admired Bass Strait. TFTC

We ventured out into the wind and rain on another cold and bleak day. The weather radar application on the mobile proved its worth as we timed our cache gathering in between breaks in the rain. Interesting find in a very uninteresting location - yuck. A couple of surfers thought to follow us as they thought we were heading to the beach.
FEEDBACK TO CO:- Not sure that your DR of 2 does justice to this cache, given the multiple hiding spots and increased EPE due to dense tree coverage.
TNLN . . SL . . Thanks for the hunt megabogan.

Nice view. This took some minutes to find and the place is .. well.. you have to go and see it yourself. Nice view but still something wrong with it.
So we were doing some touristic things at Phillip Island. Watching penguins parade and koalas just sitting in trees and it somehow happened that we figured we'd try to find 96 caches in one day after some of the caches of the day were successful. We planned on seeing the koalas and other animals and if we get 96 caches (a challenge in Finland) good, if not then we were just too touristic. It went pretty well to somewhere around cache #70 after which it began to be a bit dark. You know, pitch black. And only one flashlight and not even full batteries as when departing Finland we were not planning on doing that much of night caches. Well, @23:00 we were in Wonthaggi after "aborting" the railtrail for some coca cola (had to buy first) and some DNFs from urban(ish) caches and police started to ask what we were doing. Well that was easily solved and off we went for some more caches (6 short or likes) but during the last hour we got mainly DNFs and guess what. Another police patrol car stopped by to ask what we were doing. One more dnf after the polices went their ways but at 23:59 we had only 91 (if counted right) caches. And we decided to call it a day. (: Nice day it was. 150km of driving, 10+km of walking and ..
And to top of that day of 91 logged caches we did log all on wrong date (1.8.13) as that was the "fact" on first cache of the day and during the day there was no need to check the date. This was revealed on next day as we had already logged some on 1.8.13 with 2.8.13 and in the afternoon somehow realized that it is 1.8. that day. (:

This is certainly a neglected and somewhat abused area - a real pity as the the paper bark trees have a wonderful character. Given the hint and comments, we thought we knew what we were looking for as we had come across the container type previously. It took some time to track down, but our assumption proved correct after about 10 minutes. The cache container was in a very good hide and the conents were in good condition. TFTC megabogan.
Glad that I had gumboots on. Wasn't prepared to look through the rubbish that has collected there
Great views at the end of the road, but at gz its just a rubbish dump, crap and bum paper. Not the place I would place a cache, maybe I am to fussy. Thanks megabogan for the view.
We found this cache on our May caching holiday to Phillip Island.
The area is really beautiful and we got on the bikes for over 50kms for the 4 days we were in the area which we would never have usually have done on a holiday before geocaching!
Thanks to the cache owners for the fantastic caches you have placed in this area of Victoria.

Came back to attempt this cache for a second time. Searched high and low amongst the debris and the long grass. Weren't too sure whether we were looking for something big or something small. After a search of about 45 minutes, we eventually gave up. Will be back.... Again. TFTC megabogan
Don't waste your time looking through the rubbish on the ground. Great view of Bass Strait. Excellent hiding place.

It is with great pleasure we can log we found this cache on our 2nd attempt. Just about to give up after 30 minutes of searching when Geohubby's eagle eye spotted it!! No resident feral friendly rooster here this morning. One bag of glass dead marines taken out but so much more trash still there! Cars were going around the Grand Prix track today.

Unfortunately a lot of rubbish has been lying around here. [xx(] Luckily we have found the cache quite fast what suprised us a bit because it is really not easy to find.
Looked like a pretty messy area to us. Didn't spend to much time raking through the muck.
Found on a drive around Phillip Island looking at some of the sights while staying for a few days.
I am sure that I got very lucky here, with lots of options all around it just caught my eye.
Another quick find then back on the road again.

We were expecting the worst after reading previous logs. It took us a little while but cache was found and signed without needing to go near anything of concern. We did have to hide while some muggles went past, a bit worried about how we would act our way out of being here:-) thanks megabogan for an interesting one.
Found at 12:48 PM GAFF3. Looks like Siberia is also used by locals as a rubbish dump . Spent a bit of time searching with a very good idea of what to look for, but was it buried under a piece of wood, lying beside a tree, near the fence or maybe just hanging from the tree. The GPSr was fairly constant, but still there was a heck of a lot of stuff lying around to check on.
Eventually at a distance of 1 metre the suspected container was located - just depended on which way you approach the spot [^]
Thanks megabogan,

Thanks megabogan,
Our second attempt at this one. Still just as much rubbish down there as last time, so didn't feel like searching for long. Gave up after 5 mins. Won't be coming back!
Didn't hang around as we were not comfortable being in this gloomy place which resembled a rubbish tip. After a 5 min search we had no success and left.
Arriving here in daylight proved the ticket as the unsavoury looking cars parked with inhabitants near midnight last time we were here scared us off. After a quick photo take to wait out some fishermuggles heading down the cliff, a very quick discovery was made, considering some previous logs I wasn't expecting such a quick find. TFTC
Suscoe and son had just finished some laps on the go karts at the Phillip Island track.
Planned to have a look at this cache on the way home.
Arrived near GZ and the tree over prevented an exact reading so we just looked and looked and looked and finally success was had.
There it is was the call.
The clever cache was found, log signed and on our way in the drizzly windy late afternoon.
Thanks to megabogan for this nice challenge.

I made my way through the long grass and down the hill, but didn't know where to start looking. Usually I look for something out of place, but there is so much rubbish here it's hard to work out where to start. After five minutes or so I had to give up.
Didn't spend too long here as the ambience was not conducive to enjoyable searching, and I had neglected to bring my nuclear/biological/chemical warfare suit with me. Couldn't work out what I was meant to be looking for, or where it might actually be, so departed after the cock crowed thrice.
Only the second time i have seen this type of cache container! It was fully exposed so covered it over a bit.
Cleverly hidden - cute cache! Glad we worked out we had to go down the steep slope
Another find of a very successful day of caching with Nufrat, great caches and heaps good weather for our day to Philip Island. Spent a lot of time in this area during Motor GP and Tough Mudder events this year but was unable to get to the areas, so today was the day. TFTC

Muggles muggles muggles.... How long can surfers look at waves and comment on them? Long enough to annoy a cacher..... We left... They just would not leave. Lol
I must admit we hated the search amongst the mud and rubbish for this cache. But, that said, it was great to see the racetrack and there were cars racing while we were there. They were pretty fast too - it looked like fun. TFTC.
Found after slopping about in what appears to be a storm water drain, would have better views of the track or ocean if the GZ was moved a little further out of it current spot. TFTC
2nd attempt at finding this cache after a DNF back in april, but sadly failed again. Not sure if it's washed away with all recent rain or we just failed again.
After a prolonged search in the mud and wind and rubbish we finally found this. Not our preferred type of cache, much more scenic views to be had.
Tried two different roads to get to this one. Both were inaccessible, unless we were going the wrong way.The only D.N.F. that we went for over here.
I have a container and cache ready to place, but cannot get to replace until August.
This area has been impassable for the past few months whenever I have visited, as such the long duration for disabled.
If there is another cacher who wishes to place a cache in this location, I will happliy disable.

Another TDC assault on Philip Island. The members of the team (myself, Quasar3671 and TrailRunning) together today, for an attempt at a final clean up of the area. We didn't quite get them all, but almost all of them... We did see some whales, that was awesome. Very wet and miserable, but our team spirit was still great with some laughs and jokes along the way.
Another search for this one, and with three sets of eyes pouring over the area, it could not be located.

Another trip to the Island with the TDC and this one was searched for extensively once again. If the CO hasn't checked on this in two months since posting a note then I think it's time to archive.
Two weeks ago The Demolition Team took a Monday night caching trip to the island where a good number of caches were collected. At that time, we knew that we would have to come back to complete the island and tackle some of the harder multi’s. So once again we headed south to collect as many more as we could with the limited time we had available. Once again the Roostaman joined in the fun on this very wet and very very windy night for what turned out to be one of the most extreme rock hopping, surf dodging caching nights any of us had done. The wild weather added to the excitement of the night and every cache presented the team with an environmental challenge or two. Good thing I was wearing my GP’s. With the permission of the cache owners, a number of caches were replaced as they had gone missing, our way of saying thank you for such an eventful couple of nights on the Island. Our only regret was missing out on a number of the western caches as we did not realise this part of the island is closed at night to protect the penguin population for human interference. With a full night of caching we probably would have completed all the active caches remaining available to us, but time tonight was limited and we headed home at a reasonable hour, cold and wet, but very pleased with our efforts. Thanks to all the cache owners, and in particular Hell+Back, for her caching placement efforts.
We knew the chances of finding this one were remote but we tried it anyway. Two wallabies greeted us on the wet and cold walk in. The area where the cache was supposed to be was awash with a torrent of flowing water 6 inches deep. I poke about for a bit in the water, treading on anything that would keep me out of the water. We decided to move on without the find.

Was just wondering if you can shed some light on this cache. It seems, unfortunately it is missing in action or hid very well or has been moved. Can you please investigate this cache. Please change the status of this cache until it has been resolved.

Had a quick search at gz; couldnt find the cache, so onto the next. I tend to agree that such a large cache and a few DNFs=it may not be there anymore. Anyway will wait to see as its around the corner and i want it off my list
Grrrr! I too was unable to find the large container. I made a wide search knowing how dodgy the gps can be under trees, but still no joy. Surely I'm not so blind as to miss a container this big!?!?
