I did no know about the listing and went searching. My gps had me at the entrance by the way. After crawling all over/under both roller thingys and elsewhere, I gave up. Gee the plant nearby has razor sharp leaves or spikes or whatever.Geodog was not impressed with it either.
The GPS had me a little away from the big knobbly roller thing. I checked the nearby large metallic objects but couldn't turn it up. A young family appeared in the car park and I decided to leave it for another day. Thanks to iamapom for the hide.
I must have spent 20 minutes climbing, crawling and feeling all over the thing all to no avail.
Was starting to draw some unwanted attention to me with the high level of traffic and people in the area.
They must have thought I was mad. Was about to leave and noticed a second of those knobby things behind and began swearing to myself. Could I be that stupid??? Anyhow spend another 10 mins looking for it on that one, all to no avail.
Frustrated I left empty handed.

Missed this one last time I visited Melbourne. This afternoon it was the first place I felt! Always the way on second visits. Thanks for the cache; the log is full so I photographed it as evidence.

Find # 2137
Today I was out again with my caching partner in crime SedgwickDave. Today would be a shorter caching run due to me not feeling so great, but I still needed to get out for a bit of fresh air and exercise. We were headed for the Northcote and Westgarth area.
After a DNF on the nearby multi due to Council worker muggles, we headed on foot in the now constant light rain towards this one where we quickly located this one.
Thanks to iamapom for the cache.
Log full and requires replacement

Out on a Saturday morning caching run with best buddy ahomburg with today's plan to tackle the caches in the Northcote Thornbury region before the forecast rain arrives. Was keen for some numbers today to push closer to the elusive 2000 milestone that was almost in my grasp.
Well after being unable to complete the nearby multi due to muggle gardeners taking an extended morning tea break and not wanting to risk exposing the cache we headed to this one.
I know now the meaning of the cache name.... Interesting. The log book is completely full and needs to a new one. A photo of the log was taken as proof of find, as unable to sign log. Thanks for binging me here. TFTC iamapom, another of yours found today.

These big knobbly roller things are awesome!!! Just asking to be climbed!! However on to the serious business - finding the cache!Read the description carefully and its not that hard!! Found in the company of the Facebook Assault team. No room to sign the log but we do have a photo!!
Out this Afternoon with the Facebook Assault Team of Rebels Act, Gaga66, Nufrat, Jacimarble and Bexta grabbing a few local caches.
Found after searching in the place Rebels Act had already looked.
Logbook is full and needs replacing.

Found with the other members of the Facebook Assault Team of Jacimarble, RebelActs, Datruk, Nufrat & Bexta! They certainly are big!! Jacimarble did enjoy climbing on the Big Knobbly Roller Thing - but really who wouldn't!!! But the cache certainly is small!! Couldn't SL as there was no room!! TFTC!!
TFTC, good hint if you really pay attention to it.

Those big knobbly roller thingos are quite big, knobbly and rollery!!! Quite unlike the cache.......! A tricky find but really quite obvious. Thanks for bringing us here.
Ninth of Twenty One finds for the the afternoon, I found this one in the company of Gaga66, Jacimarble, Bexta, Datruk and Nufrat, Now known as the Facebook Assault team. I felt there but missed finding it, thankfully Datruk had a look as well and came up with the good, those rollers made good climbing objects. The log is full and needs replacing. Thanks iamapom for the cache.
Found during a night caching trip with Shogun. Log is quite full needs replacing. TFTC
Couldn't find it, looked high & low. Will have to try again some other time :-/
Found it with auzziesamurai. After an hour of looking and looking in the same spot 3 times, going through ALL the old posts and re-reading the description again and again. We refused to leave with a DNF, finally I looked where I had looked already and it almost jumped out an attacked me. TFTC log book is full we had to sign it with an X.
Found with tilla83 well that one was fun.....not good hide if a little misleading took almost an hour in the cold TFTC log is full signed with an X

Could have sworn I'd looked there already... damn. Oh well, found, signed, returned for the next cacher's , er, pleasure.
Another iamapom hide crossed off the list. Thanks for the fun, and the frustration - which makes the find all the more satisfying.

We thought we'd knew better than our gpsr's... but we were wrong.
We spent many minutes in the cold and dark looking at the other big thing.
Very tricky hide Mrs iamapom!

This was the eighth of about 10 for the day.
This is one mean hide. Mean mean mean man. I seem to remember you telling somebody at the MEGA about Nanos on big metal things. I believe you contradicted yourself Mr Pom . We spent a while looking at the obvious and failed to locate anything. Dad put his hand within a few centimetres of the cache, but I told him don't bother looking there. Whoops, bad move on my part [xx(]. We then spent a further 15mins looking around until I just looked in the same place dad did and low and behold, there was the evil nano . Thanks for showing us another aspect on the park Mr Pom. No thanks for the evilness

Found tonight in the company of PrincessDiala. We looked in all the wrong places first - until we started to trust the GPSr. The cache was then located quickly. TFTC
Started looking but workers showed up and muggles around no luck!I will try again another time ;
Searched for 20 minutes but I was over it and my 6 year old nephew was restless. Thanks anyway. Nice roller thingos.
Edited log, I didn't find it.

it was very quiet around G.Z today.
i found it in my second lap around.
thanks iamapom, great hid. [:x]

Looked for a long time, but it beat us: but we are geocache novices-it would only have been our 4th find. Wherever it is, it must be cleverly hidden. If some better clues arrive on the log, we'll be back for a 2nd try.
This cache took longer than expected due to the Ambiguous description. After reading a few logs I got the felling I would not be looking in the obvious spots. Once I finally trusted the GPS and Google sat view the cache was quickly found. TFTC
We tried to find it, we looked everywhere possible, climbed it, looked under it... but we couldn't find it.
Well they are certainly, certainly knobbly and if one of them rolled over you it would hurt! Parked nearby and got to GZ, not many muggles about this evening however after a quick overview look and a bit of a "where would I put it" think, found the cache in the next place I looked! It just clicks sometimes. Thanks heaps to iamapom for this one. There is no space left on the log, signed with initials only.
Yes - the name made you wonder but trusting the co- ords is always a good place to start - tftc
Awesome little hide. Well executed.. You had us climbing up and over everything!! SL TFTC
*** IMPORTANT NOTE ***
If you "choose" to broaden your search to the nearby building, DO NOT grab the double yellow container wrapped in masking tape hidden underneath. It's full of needles. I've carefully moved it to further under the building out of harms way.

p.s there where heaps of muggles

After two iamapom fails today I couldn't handle a third, the best part about find yours is reading back over the description and seeing what I missed as a clue thanks for the fun cache, finally!
At last. Was strolling past this last night and it had defeated me a number of times. Decided to give it another crack. Started right at the coordinates and had it soon in hand.
Love the location and the objects in question are just asking for a cache. As mentioned in my last log - I will have to come back alone so I can do a longer detailed search. Thanks anyway.
i had a very quick look.
there was a lady in her garage opposite.
and plenty of muggles with dogs.
iii come back again soon. [:x]

On 11/11/11 Friday night caching run this cache was found. It took us 3 attempts to finally succeed. Tricky hide!
Took a long time to find this, another cunning hide from iamapom (I'm noticing)

I approached the two Big Knobbly Roller Thingos on my two Smaller Smooth Rolling Thingos (700c x 23 to be precise). After ducking and climbing for several minutes I then read some of the previous finder's logs which led me to have an "Oho.........that iamapom is indeed a tricky blighter" moment. Once the two ladies who were walking their dogs had finished their chat (RIGHT at the GZ!) I was able to search in a new spot and came up trumps. Thanks iamapom for placing a cache in this nicely reborn area (much better than a big open tip).
Found@ 3:56 pm. Nice hide. Its caches like these that make me wish I'd chosen a shorter geotag
After success with "Westgarth Saffron 3 - Up a gum tree" (another iamapom nano) and driving past this one, I had to have Yet Another try.
This cache has bugged me: by visit #2 I'd worked out where the cache _should_ be, but couldn't find it.
Tonight -- maybe the dark helped? -- certainly the lack of muggles did -- I found it in a place I'd supposedly already checked. Not quite by accident; I was prepared to recheck every possible hide but naturally found the cache on try #2 within the first minute of searching. Frankly it took longer to fill out the log!
I got the smiley. Positive thinking. Never mind how many times I looked before!
Thanks iamapom for a cache that is much simpler than the muddle I made of it.

After a nearby DNF... Studied the logs and bingo second place I tried. Harder still was the log not blowing away on a very gusty day!
Found on my morning walk before work. I walk past here often but decided this morning to have a look for it. Took quite some time to find. Nice hiding spot. Thanks for the cache.
Last time we were here we wasted a little time searching and moved on because we were on a mission to bag a few caches that night. Before attempting this one today, we read the clue and I came up with a plausible answer. So today jsmyong and I had the cache in about 10 seconds of searching. It was nice to realise that the answer is sometimes that simple. An excellent cache. Thanks iamapom.
Finally found this one while out caching with Trailrunning. We had a DNF previously but after rereading the clues, we managed to decipher the clue and came up today to collect it. TFTC iamapom
13/09/2011 23:00 For this run I thought I would ring 'iamapom' and get some suggestions as to a good cache. I will admit to having been stumped on the last attempt so this time I was told just where to look. . A pretty quick find later and I was off to get a multi to burn time till midnight. This cache is quite misleading so you need to read carefully. TFTC Carl and Deb TNLN SL
It is rather unusual for me to get out on a Wednesday night caching. But when the girlfriend says she’s going out to the movies with her friend, and says “You’ll occupy your time won’t you”, she sure knows I will. I contacted jsmyong55 and asked if he wanted to come along. The answer was yes! So we had planned to go over to Williamstown again but with the accident on the West Gate Bridge, we decided to avoid that chaos and head north from Kew. At about 8:15 we called it quits as we both had things to do, but a good little run with only a few DNF’s (nano’s). Not for us tonight. We searched then moved on stating we'll be back. thanks iamapom.

Second attempt for this little devil.
After spending roughly 10 minutes last time looking for the hide I had the near-by neighbours wondering what the hell I was up to ....so frustrating when your being watched and your focus is on them rather than the job at hand. I decided to call it quits for another day.
Arrived bright & early & what a surprise NO muggles NO neighbours NO nothing stood between me & the hide...... the cache was in hand within minutes of starting the search!!
Sneaky & a clever little hide

Had a quick look, but two workers were watching me all the time I was there, so didn't search well.
Found this one quite quickly, a very nice hide indeed, many thanks for the cache.

The big knobbly things are great for kids to climb on - a few muggle groups here passing through on a sunny Saturday morning and using the opportunity for climbing.

found it on a sunny day with Tabin and Fanny. Red GT joined us and also met him at our next cache-stop =)
Joined with some fellow cachers in hunting this one down. Luckily for me one of their number located it! The description had the key to the location. T4TC
We found this cache today at 3:45pm as the 5th of 6 on a Sunny Winter Afternoon caching expedition. Our third cache find in this park and also one other DNF on a previous cache that went missing just south of here. I looked for a fair while before "A" came over and spotted it within a minute. The rollers are ground compaction rollers. Thanks from D, H & A B-A.
LZZ(f) drove out on a day that was sun/rain/sun and looked really hard for this cache. Logs were useful as well as prior failure of LZZ(m). Today she successfully negotiated her way to GZ . TFTC
Well this cache had me beat today. With two to choose from I chose the one the GPS pointed at and from there it all went down hill. On my hands and knees and higher than anticipated, nothing was being revealed to me, so I took that as a sign to move on. Thanks for the location though, interesting big knobbly roller thingos.
Where looking at the right spot but obviously not the right angle for success.
Wow. What a hard find. Took 3 goes to get it and it was somewhere we had looked all times. For those like us who have no idea what a nano cache is, it is about the size of two stacked button batteries. Darren, Simone, Ruby and Papa Pete.
Found with Aussie choppy interesting hide had to read the description a couple of times to find it... They look like big compacting rollers interesting to look at tftc
We started the search and looked in all the most obvious places, but it was wileclan who came up with the goods, when it was needed. Thanks again iamapom. TFTH...SL...TNLN
Ahhh, more my style of hide. In Western Australia there are not that many big hides, so I am loving all of the regulars and the like that I am finding here in Victoria. This cache was more along the lines of the prevalent cache size at home so I was the one to come up with the find on this one. Good hide, we searched for a while before I switched to WA mode and picked it up from a logical spot.
Thanks for another cache iamapom
Cheers

Had a quick look here before alansee's event, and thought I'd have another go afterwards with more time. Fortunately, one of the huge bonuses of attending events is that you get to meet so many fellow cachers, and today, as I was leaving, I met the owner. Thanks iamapom for the cache, and for the more than subtle hint.
Needed phone a friend from josiey. I have seen one of these nanos before but it was still very tough to find with coaching. TFTC - the knobbly things could crush your searching soul, but they are old and rusted so I will search on.
Second cache in this area - and while the kids busied themselves on the nearby playground alpha male wandered over to this one... At first I thought I'd have the area to myself, but geez this is a busy spot! People wandering past, through, and meandering around... Don't these people appreciate I've got caching to do????!?
Round one had me finding nothing despite some general exploring and clambering and guessing, and after a while the muggles got to me so I wandered back to the family. Re-read the description and then considered WWID (what would iamapom do) and returned to then find the cache pretty much in the first spot I looked!
TFTC... I think you're right with the brickworks thing. Either that or it's the mother of all automated massagers (perhaps for an elephant!)...

Thank goodness we know Carl for his evil hides on previous occasions. This time just went with the not so obvious and had this little fella in hand in seconds. Ha ha TFTC Iamapom !!!
After searching the big knobbly roller thingys for a few minutes we reread the description and found it quite quickly. Great hide tftc!!
Clever cache. Bit of a riddle. Luckily we weren't looking in the wrong place for too long. Tftc great hide

We were searching high and low for this one when along came Scubacrazy666 and introduced himself. He made a quick call to his mate for hints. As it turned out the hide was not where it seem. We located it quickly once we knew where to look. It was good to meet a fellow cacher. Thanks for the cache.
Found today as part of Pathfinder24's continuing 'find a cache day' saga. I needed to head out and collect a final bit of information for my proposed earthcache (hopefully you can see it soon!!) and Pathfinder24 needed his cache for the day, so we decided to combine the two tasks and pick up a nearby cache. On arrival we decided not to head into the car park for the park, as the sign on the fence said the gates would be locked soon. We searched around and around the nearby cache hiding areas and had no luck. We checked the logs and noticed many people had needed a few goes to find this cache. We were hopefully to not be one of them, but we just couldn't find the cache!! We widened the search area, soon I found a suspicious looking 'thing' hiding away, I pulled it out of hiding and it was a cache LID!! Oh no, where is the rest?!?! Muggles might have been in action!! Pathfinder24 located the other half of the cache thankfully so we signed the log and tried to put the two halves back together. I think the container might have been threaded or something. Taking the rubber ring out, we were able to get the lid to stay on, but I think it might need some attention. Let me if you want us to forward you the ring.
