Soooo sneaky! First park and grab, woo hoo!Starting another geocaching day with Rouille1 with our usual optimism. TFTC.Next stop ... coffee
Lol...v sneaky. ChRcheuse spotted it first and voila! All before our first coffee too (less success there as multiple cafes closed). More paper needed TFTC!!
I drove straight in, following the gps, What a Cache!!!!This was a good one for completing my 366 days streak.Thank you for the cache#1061
Jeeezz so sneaky but I guess some find it straight away. A favorite from me. Thank you.
We looked for quite a while before my battery died and just as we were about to leave i spotted something out of place. I showed mum who didn't know what I was talking about until I showed her. We logged and left before the grey nomads awoke. TFTC
#21398 @1355In Nelson for the Christmas holidays to catch up with family. Today my youngest son, my eldest grandson and I dropped by a few caches. Cache soon found. The kids were very impressed. TFTC.
Found with Kiwimykl while on a teaching adventure across the hill. KM was asking a fellow cachet about a couple of nearby caches on the GTT and he happened to mention this one. I doubt if we would have found it without the tip. Clever hide worth another FP. I agree with the previous finder, someone in a wheelchair would not be able to access this cache, which precludes it from being a T1.0. Also the cache container is designed for a rolled up log, not folded, so we ignored that request in the cache description like all those who have gone before us.
Back over the hill to finish off this month's challenge. After a good look a couple of weeks ago, today, I had a different focus, and it worked. Got it. More like a terrain 1.5 though.
Over the hill today to pick up some highly favourited hides. And, despite the recent couple of days of heavy rain, it was a pleasant drive over and not a drop of rain as I geo-cycle-m-version 2-ed the 24km loop. This was not one of them. Now back home and reading through this one, I think my caching senses had run out by here. Back another day.
found with kjj162. we made a visit to the show grounds today in between the rain showers. was quick quick find tftc
Really had to use our caching senses to find this one. All in covid condition. FP from us. TFTC.
Just parked the motorhome for the night so we can have an early start for WOF and service in the morning. Lovely sunny spot today after skiing much rain recently. Parked right across the carpark from cache. Quick easy find. TFTC.
Took us a bit to find this one! It's only a couple of other logs that gave us a hint and got us over the line. Nice to see it's been there a long time. Very cunning and worthy of a FP. TFTC.
After getting a much-needed hint from the CO, I came by on Saturday only to find an A&P show on the grounds. I wasn't allowed in, so I had to return today to search for the cache.
Even with the dead giveaway hint, I still had to look carefully before I found the cache. TFTC.
Even with the dead giveaway hint, I still had to look carefully before I found the cache. TFTC.
Finally after looking round and round and round and not spotting it I went back to my van gutted but determined to find it the next day with fresh eyes. Spotted it straight away. TFTC
When the husbands away the wives will play haha - Straight out the door for a Saturdays geocaching adventure with Missnboyz. Elusive little bugga here but got there in the end. Worth a FB for sheer genius. TFTC
I just happened to be nearby and thought I should have a looksy for this. Turned out it was a quick looksy too. Thanks Sidewaze for clever hide.
Had a look around and couldn't find it, retreated back to the car and looked through found logs. Went for another look and found straight away. Good hide! Thanks for the cache.
No more furtune but more smileys on the map now.
Thanks sidewaze for another nice hide. Found at second attempt, first time I gave up almost immediately as there were a lot of people around and I struggled not to look suspicious.
This time it was quiet and almost empty. There weren't too many possible hiding places, so I started investigating the right spot and noticed something that seemed a bit out of place there.
Oh, happy me, it was indeed the cache.

I disabled my caches during Level 4 lockdown to encourage everyone to do the right thing. Now we’re moving to Level 3 I’m going to leave the decision to search for a cache or not to each individual. Remember you still need to stay in your bubble and a bit of hand sanitiser before and after handling a cache would be appropriate. Keep yourself and others safe.

After overnighting at the Richmond Racecourse we decided before we left to do this local cache. Mrs S was hunting around while Mr S was on the phone when he whistled her over and pointed. His sharp eyes had spotted this one pretty quickly. Well done Mr S.
Thanks Sidewaze.
Thanks Sidewaze.
Found at last...have looked many times while staying here...awesome cache great work...
I’ve been here before looking for this one but as I was on the way home and still not too tired I decided to come back with fresh eyes. This is despite the fact this area is quite the hive of activity with the summer holidays coming up for most of us, but underway for some already.
A quick look around, nothing stands out then, hold on, this has got a few favourite points, so what if.....? Yep, got it. That reminds me I have a few sneaky ones like this in my possession that need to go out at some stage.
TFTC Sidewaze, adding to that FP tally.
Another day in Nelson/Tasman today, and the aim is to get some bike friendly ones. So I targeted a few trails and loops, then winged the rest of the day. Brightwater was the general area today, as there are also a few COs that I want to increase my find tallies on, and this area was a good start. A handful of DNFs but overall pretty happy with about 35 found. Thanks all COs.

Tried for this one a while ago but too many muggles around. Back today to get finds for day up and get relevant mystery at museum cache. Parked up a little way away and walked to suss things out. Easy find with main observers being off the wooly variety in the center. On way back to car notice some good cacti collections and also the waihine anchor chain (photo attached). Remember that storm even though in timaru and the tragedy. Tftc
Sir Belac and I had been to Richmond this morning and as we both hadnt done this cache thought it was a good chance to get it good hide it's another one we can mark off. Thanks sidewaze for placing this cache
Working at the races and had a friend along who had not been caching before. What a great cache to start on, but now her expectations may be very high! Easy and quick find, but I have seen caches like this before so I had a head start. It was even nabbable with the raceday crowd around. A happy favourite point from me. Thanks for the cache.
wasn’t sure if we were going find but with some help we did! what a great cache!
Nice clean and imaginative hide. Nice to spot the odd one out. Had to go and find this before heading out of town. Thanks for the placement sidewaze
I spotted this almost straight away as this was my trade ha ha ...but I can see it could be testing for the untrained ..thanks sidewaze a great we cache ..well placed
A quick find with Tregearp whilst off to see a moan about some windows. All in good order, signed log and replaced as found. Definitively a cache you need to pick your day for - and today worked for us just fine. Thanks for another Sizewaze cache.
Had looked for this one previously but on a day where the nearby watering hole was frequented which limited the ability to search somewhat. Today SJT_NZ and I had a meeting nearby and area was relatively deserted. We had an idea on options of what we were looking for and spied it out fairly quickly. The first cache type I ever bought and haven't put it out yet as a nice example to show those new to caching what could be out there. TFTC Sidewaze another fun hide.
Scratched my head, read a few logs took a second look and there it was...them to get the log out...pen nib fell off in process so here's a photo of the log. Tftc
A second attempt was made with a successful outcome. TFTC. A bit of intuition rewarded me with a find.
Taybeedragon and I are in Nelson taking some stress off a later trip to Christchurch to hunt for the elusive turtle. I thought this section of the cycle way might be a could place to find the dragon that hopefully will give us some tips to finding that turtle. Well, we found that dragon, but the turtle, as expected, is proving to be a problem. I don't think it is here in Nelson.
Thinking this might be one of the thinking sideways series, I sounded out the cache title a few times before i realised what it was the CO was trying to say. Nice! The cache was a straight forward find - it's been a while since I have found one of these.

The Seagnoid, Toby and I are off to Nelson to hopefully find some hidden creatures along our way. Its an early start out of Blenheim just after 6am. Weather forecast is for rain this afternoon so the earlier the better. Its a bike ride along the estuary so Jack and Jill have come along for the ride. Have the Dragon bagged so now its the elusive Turtle. Will it be in Nelson?
This was a quick snag but tagging took a bit more time with such a small log. Cheers.
But whats with that chain we passed on the way in. Oh WOW the anchor chain for the Wahine. OK lets get moving.

Out for a morning walk with the dog. Hd parked in Stratford st and after grabbing the multi on the way made my way in. A bit of circling around but got there in the end. All nice and quiet today although the Menz shed nearby looked pretty busy. Thanks for the cache.
Instant find. Only as we have come across caches of this kind before. A good hide that added a nice little walk with the kids after the gypsy fair on at the show grounds.
I'm from Norway, escaping the cold winter and travelling around New Zealand for 7 weeks, using geocaching as my tourguide. Today I picked up some important caches in Nelson, before I drove to Picton.
About this cache:
I wanted to find this one, because I needed it for a bingo-challenge in Auckland. It was a very good and sneaky hide, luckily I have seen this kind of container before, so it didn't take too long until I found it. Tftc

Took us a good three to four minutes looking at different spots, than spotted the item of interest. Sneaky hide. Tftc
Wandered down to look for this one, but unfortunately a couple in a car had decided it would make a good rest area. Went and grabbed another cache in the area then came back to this. All clear now and the find was made quickly.
Took a look of looking and looking at comments. Great cache and I agree it blends in so well.
I made this so much harder as was so focused on t rating so pretending in whhelchair and i dont want to think about what i touched. As about to give up some nearby noise starttled me and yep my eyes wete staring at cache
At World’s End – New Zealand – One of our dream become true.
Our plan was to stay 4 weeks in New Zealand. But this wasn’t this easy to manage at work. So we moved spontanic the plan from march to november. We informed us before about point of interessts. The list was this long so we decided to go by campervan from the north to the south to have the most mobility. We arrived after way to much hours in Auckland and started there our round trip. At first we enjoyed the area in auckland and the north. In Waitomo we were able to see and enjoy glohworms in one of the famous caves. But this area had a lot of nice hiking trails were we could discovered the Piripiri Caves, Natural Bridge and the Marokopa Falls. This was already impressive to see and still the beginning of our adventure for life. The trip went on over Okere Falls Scenic Reserve direction Rotorua. In this area we enjoyed each hour, because each corner was different. We visited the Haumurana Springs – what amazing water -, Blue Lake and Green Lake and relaxed in Kerosene Creek. We liked all the water and in our travel guide we found a hike cloth to the Huka Falls, which ofcourse we did as well. All this flowers were bloom. One oft the Highlights was Wai-O-Tapu. The weather was perfect and all this colors awesome and the geysir a nice shower. By Campercan the to tour went on direction Tongariro Alpine with a short stop at Orakei Korako and the Tongariro River Loop Track. Lu like nice hiking tours and what could be the best for her birthday? Of course the famous Tongariro Alpine Crossing. We started early in the morning and walked approximately 9 hours over gras, stones, snow and colorful water. Now we had to leave the Heart of North New Zealand and went over Taranaki Falls to the East Coast with the goal Napier. The weather was cloudy and often raining but a small sightseeing was a must have. The last stop on the North Irland was Wellington. But it was only raining and some streets were already flooded. That’s why we change spontanic our plan and only did the First Cache of New Zealand and went by ship over the Marlboro Sound to Picton. We went over Farewell Spit to the lonely Wharariki Beach with sea lions. On the way back to the big streets we stopped at Waikoropupu Spring and Janie Sesson Shipwreck and drove untypical to Karamea. In Germany we do not have this much and public caves and that’s way we enjoyed this area! Cloth to the West Coast we took a look at the Pancake Rocks. The weather was just raining and so we could not see the Franz Josef and Fox Glacier, but we still visited them. We leaved the bad weather in the hills and enjoyed the Sun at Ship Creek, Thunder Creek, Fantail Falls and the Blue Pools. Wow they were relly blue and this clean and deep. I never saw something similar before. About Wanaka we read a lot in our travel guide and looked forward to it. There arrived we visited the Puzzling World and walked around the sea. Queenstown the next town we drove just through because at this time there was a marathon and it was really campervan unfriendly. So we used the time and drove to Milford Sound and enjoyed the hills surround us on the water. I never felt this small. After we are landed again on land the trip goes on to the Chasm and Clifden Caves and the Clifden Suspension Bridge. Wow what an adventure. At the end we visited a few cities like Bluff, Duneding, Moeraki Boulders and Christchurch were our Trip sadly ends.
At all this places we looked for nice and unique caches which shows us places which we never would had seen without. We enjoyed the nature and wildlife each day and it was really an adventure for life. At the end we drove approximately 5000 kilometeres and felt this relaxed.
Thanks to all owners for placing this caches and this much informations which we got about the particular areas. This was an adventure for life for us. Thanks for this beauty time.

Coming back from Richmond with my 8 month pregnant partner, there aren't too many caches left for me to attempt that don't involve walking. So we pulled in here for what I feared would be too difficult for her non-caching patience, but her stubberness to find the tricky hide wouldn't let her give up, when maybe I would've left and tried another day.
Having a rough idea of what I might be looking for, I poked and wiggled a lot of things lightly assuring Mrs Monkey we wouldn't have to take anything apart - that it would be a cleverly disguised container. And yes! Eventually spotted something that looked only slightly out of place. Blends in very well, and hopefully I've introduced a half muggle to the satisfaction of finding a challenging cache.
Thanks very much!

Third time lucky. First time police dogs were training. Second time, today, school kids were cycle safety training. Cool posse.
Well it was our third time visit , a very cunning hide , even though we have struck something like it before it certainly blends well, very well done, loved it. Food for thought
Thanks for the cache Sidewaze

No luck for me this time. However after coming home and reading some of the logs, I will be going back for another look. First of your caches I have come across, I will look up some more
On our 4th attempt - and did we feel stupid when we found it after all this time? You bet!
Nice quite day at gz, great idea for the cache container. Had me thinking for a few minutes. Tftc
We had a DNF on this a couple of months back but after a hint from the CO it was time to return and grab a smiley. A nice wee cache. Thanks Sidewaze!
Couldn't get closer than 4m. Didn't realise there was an alphabet series so we were struggling to make the cache name sing. Finally read more logs. Found the owner's explanation of name and understanding the name was more with where we were and not at all where the cache was we found it quickly. NINO TFTC
Found on a road trip to Richmond and Nelson from the deep dark South of Dunedin.
Having a great time hunting down caches in a load of different places.
Out on my bike today exploring the local tracks.
Thanks for your efforts in hiding your caches.

After several attempts Mrs WW finally spied it. a good one thanks for the challenge Sidewaze.
Another weekend, yay. Another trip over the hill to Nelson, yay (ish). Off to the shops to look for a new lounge suite, a bike rack and a trip to Richmond Mall, (not yay) So the deal was struck. A blend of shopping, a few caches, Tally the dog along for the trip and a visit to Tahunanui Beach to get some sand therapy. Weather promises to be good all weekend which is a bonus and means I can plan to do caches without the encumbrance of a raincoat.
Last of the day for me today, a nice round dozen was the final score so pleased with that. Haven't seen a container like this for quite a while, nice camo here

Found this while staying at the Show-grounds. Went for a bike ride and was successful here but not on the damaged cycle way. TFTC
For Tune ately it was rather quiet here at lunchtime today although I did need to navigate around some 'ay and pee on the grass to get to the GZ, the find itself was quiet quick, perhaps as I seemed to have the place to myself.
Anyway, something stood out as I rounded a corner and I was quickly able to grab the cache.
Thanks Sidewaze - its good to see that I *can* find some of yours!
Note to Out of Towners: if you want to tackle this one, and to avoid the "Trespassers will be shot on sight" type sign, you are able to drive up the left-hand fork in the road around the side of the mobile home / camping site and park further up.

With some people around and the sign at the gate ('Trespassers will be prosecuted') we did not want to spent too much time. So no luck for us.
#7765. Another cache Troodles had found on her streak. I found it on a lunchtime walk to pick the cachemobile up after its service. I went past a sign saying "Trespassers will be prosecuted", but as I was there to find a cache I felt sure I wasn't a trespasser. Close to GZ, about 6 police cars were parked in front of the grandstand. Luckily when I got to GZ the occupants were nowhere to be seen. Searched for a bit with no joy. Then I read some logs, and looked again and there it was. Extracting the log proved a bit tricky, but I got there in the end. TFTC.
Decided to go for a bike ride for my cache of the day. The ride there wasn't too bad, as the wind was behind me but it was an effort on the return journey. To make matters worse, it was bitterly cold.
There were several police utes near GZ, turned out to be dog handlers putting their charges through their paces. Fortunately, there was a building between me and them, so was able to search without distraction.
Once I let the GPSr settle, the cache was a quick find, blends in nicely with its surroundings. Another in the alphabet series smileyfied, though I don't get what W has to do with fortune...
Thanks for day #64 in my streak.

Didn't take too long as I had a hunch how it might be hidden.. Thanks for the neat hide!
Excellent camo! Found it pretty quick thanks to a professional geocacher in my group.
TFTC. I am attempting to cache for 100 days in a row to meet the requirements for a challenge - have got to the 90's, time will tell.........
Back in Nelson for a few days R & R.
This cache sounded like a challenge, so I decided to stop here for lunch and gather my strength before having a hunt. It must have done the trick because the cache was located by standing and having a jolly good look. The coords were spot on.
Thanks Sidewaze for placing this tricky cache.
