Thanks Budgietas for hiding this cache, I needed a find for today to update my calendar and find streak. Your Multi-Cache cache, Swimming Hole, was just what I needed. This is my find #1563 at 06:38 on 17/5/2024.
A nice day out for a few finds, This is a lovely spot with a few of the locals taking advantage of the waterhole. Clues quickly sorted and a short time later cache in hand. Hadt to brush off the mini ants but all good TFTC
We had a quick look for this one a couple of years ago but there were just too many muggles around. Today we eventually got around to returning and made a quick find. A lovely day to be out and about and it's a beautiful spot. TFTC!Cheers,The Hancock Clan
I found this cache on the final morning of my trip to Tasmania from Adelaide to visit family and friends and find a few caches.
Today was spent doing a few specific caches of interest around Hobart.
Required information was quickly collected and final coordinates calculated, then it was just a short walk to GZ for a quick find. Container and logbook are in good condition.
Thanks Budgietas for the cache.

Today we were supposed to be relaxing on a beach in the South Pacific, but cyclone Gabrielle was in our way so our cruise ship turned south from Brisbane instead.
Fine for us though, means we can catch up with EeePees and go caching!
After checking out the EC, I gathered the numbers and headed down the path to GZ. It took a bit of searching and a message to a PAF to find the cache. Turns out I had my hand very close earlier, just didn’t look hard enough!

After getting the information for a nearby EarthCache we had a look for this one. Got the needed information and walked to GZ where it was a quick find. Can’t believe we never knew about this part of the walk! Thanks for the clever multi Budgietas, a very well camoed container. TFTM.
Aha! Found and signed the log! Now that I've returned to this I'm not sure if my maths were off or my cache eyes were off. Catching up with Budgie to farewell our mutual friend though spurred me on though and I was quickly kicking back around in the area with my youngest who was fresh and all enthusiastic, as a 4 year old is.
Tftc contents in good condition. Made the gatekeeper work for it's keep though

I think I have my maths wrong so will redo now that my phone has stopped being a dill but I tried
I had my hands on this cache and put it back. Luckily my hero husband is more thorough then me .

After my first fail a couple of days ago I was becoming despondent. I worked out the coordinates to this one last week but when I went to look last night with a very grumpy toddler I figured I must have copied a number down wrong. So doubled checked coordinates with the CO. Turns out I was close just on the wrong side of the path
I hope I’ve got my eye tuned in again now! I plan on finding at least one more today to keep me motivated!

Returned to this already solved Multi today after lunch and realized the path wasn't closed....... today
There were Muggles walking in either direction like it wasn't closed off at all
No work on a Sunday meant for an opportunity to swoop on the booty
The road / path was still iced over from the frost last night
Crunch crunch underfoot, very slow, careful steps were taken.
After a bit of a hunt between Muggles the sneaky hide was located.
SL at 13:53 on Sunday 11 July 2021.
Returned as found with not a Muggle in sight at the time.

Did the work on this one and entered the final into my GPS but realized there is work going on here with the bridge and there are closures so i will return to this once the work finishes or if there is a way in via the creek maybe
It was fun to do the puzzle side / solve of it though. I loved the swimming hole sounding sweet with the water rushing into it. If i lived on this creek i'd have the window open at night and listen to the lovely soothing sound of the water over rocks to sleep to [^]

hi Budgietas, thanks for this nifty multi. I've not really cached in this general area too much, I enjoyed the swimming hole location, then I wandered to my calculated GZ, where I was pleased to make a quick find. Nice cammo indeed.
Going to the magnificent Hobart Town Hall a little later to watch/hear my uncle play on the Steinway Grand Piano. At late notice, I ended up turning today into and R&R day, and I've time to squeeze in a few geocaches beforehand.
Thanks for bringing me here.
Cheers, EPs.

Almost gave up on this one but then just managed to find it. Amazing camo! Didn’t have a pen so took photo as proof of find. TFTC
Collected the info at the parking area and made our way to GZ. After waiting for a couple of dog walkers to pass, we were able to have a good search. After 10 mins or so we were ready to give up but then Mrs SudsyNZ found the sneaky hide. TFTC
Great multi + lovely location + well made cache container = a Favourite Point.

A nice little find which I had the chance of doing at a CITO event. TFTC budgietas!
Will spend a cupple of days on the beautiful island of Tasmania. Found this Box Not the best weather yet for a swim.

Thanks for the multicache Budgietas. After returning home from the Mega Event in Queanbeyan, I found I had an extra burst of enthusiasm to go out and find some geocaches that I had wanted to find for ages but had just never got around to it. This one is located on part of the walking track I had never been on before so the GeoGSP and I enjoyed the walk. A nice quick multi (compared to the previous one we had down further down the road immediately before this) and the log was soon signed.
Lovely camo hide Budgietas all good at GZ thanks for your efforts with this one

Finally made a proper effort to find... I walk past this at least weekly (often at night) and am CO for literally the next neareat cache but either have felt overlooked, otherwise ick, or its been at a busy time for so searches have been shorter than I'd like!
Anyway I spotted something that warranted further investigation. Knowing I'd checked it out before I started from scratch.
As I was signing the log, two muggles lady swimmers turned up just below GZ and started stripping off and the bloke with the house nearest was down in the bottom of his yard. Log rolled up as quickly as able.
It wasn't the stealthiest getaway!
Gradually finding all non-smileys in an increasing radius from my house.
PS log was full and I didn't have any spares for this type of cache. Logged at the bottom of front side.

It was almost pleasant exploration around here today. Nearly didn't find it. I had the camo in my hand but initially dismissed it. A little perseverance paid off.
Great enjoyed today with beautiful sunny day..
kick out of my bum to do caches for day...
Muilt so easy, workout to short walked to GZ,..
awesome cache but very difficulty open by stuck damp..
sign the log, very damp note..

This is one beautiful cache but dampness made it rather hard to access. Managed to get in in the end though. TFTC!
TFTC. Distracted by a likely spot nearby for a minute but found it daily quickly. Rivulet PUMPING today!
I had the cache but then dismissed it without having a good look! How silly. Soon realised the mistake after digging around elsewhere.
Certainly not flood conditions now; a mere dribble. Maybe enough for a doggy paddle. In fact later on "up the creek" at you know what spot (#3) we toddled across without getting our tootsies wet. Excellent hide Budge, we'll fav it. Rather surprised though that the previous find was way back in Jan by interstaters FelixII who we met at a recent event. TFTC Budgietas.
Travelling around Australia and spending a few months in Tasmania.
It was lunchtime before we set off with a plan to tackle the New Town Rivulet caches. Mr Felix managed to tackle a few others aswell.
Took a while for us to sort this out but got there in the end. Not alot of water around today but still enough.

Great humid thunder stormy afternoon in Hobart , I worked out the coordinates gave them to Willbert7074(geohubby) and were both getting frustrated and wondering why they kept putting us out in the middle of the Bush. .. On closer inspection SOMEONE had entered them in the gps wrong lol, that sorted , had a lovely stroll and put my hand on the cache first place I looked. Awesome hide tftc
Worked out the clue pretty quickly, just neede to put the right coordinates in the gps. Found pretty quickly after that. Nice camo, Tftc
After a couple of massive days of walking and riding I was running on empty today from the time I woke. I took a bus to Kingston and walked plenty this morning then headed out this way. At least I thought I was, but the bus didn't turn down Augusta Rd so I found a few other caches as I walked back to the road. Eventually I got a bus that took me to Girrabong Rd and it was a long, slow walk from there up hill. I collected the required info and completed your nearby series before return to log this final on the way back to the bus. I was barely keeping one foot in front of the other and it took all my energy to prise the cap off the camo to reveal the cache. Excellent camo by the way. Thanks Budgietas.
Cache zombified.
Retrieved the information easily enough but then put the coords on my gps wrong. Spent 10 minutes looking in the wrong spot. Quick find once I realised my mistake.

Beautiful day for nice walk ,,, enjoyed multi so simple... Finally found it. signed the log. Thanks Budgietas
Enjoyed the multi and the walk to g.z. to find the cache. Enjoyed the cache a lot too! Found with ryanofoz for his 100th cache! The cache itself was interesting and clearly had been planned out! TFTC! It deserves a fave point!
After finding 5 of the New Town Rivulet Track series we began a search for this one. Easy multi that took us to part of the track that we had never been on before and how beautiful it is. A lot of water spilling over the rocks was a great sight. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
Great multi, and a really nice area. I've been around this area before, but never walked this section of track. Loved the hide! TFTC...
Love this area. Loved the Rivulet series and all the wildlife we have spotted around these parts. Love this clever hide. TFTC
Our second find for the morning after visiting Old Hobartian . Being new to this game took us a while to get the hang of this multi, once worked out what we were dealing with we were soon on the trial for the second set of coordinates. Took a bit of scratching around to find, but soon located it and signed the log.
A glorious day to meet up with gooseandegg and take our geo pooch for a walk. A nice quick multi with a fantastic hide. We needed to improvise to remove the cap so the bear went for a short stroll to use the guideposts a short distance away. So with a light tap, the cap was off and the log retrieved, signed and replace. Not quite warm enough for us to have a dip but the pooch certainly did. TFTC.

Enjoyable mutli in a spot we had not been for years. Thanks to smiley_bear for joining us with geodog. Found cache easily but moisture made it hard to open. Have replaced allowing a little air under to help dry. Very clever cache. TFTC
Enjoyed day with my niece (first time geocaching), easy clue and good stroll to GZ, found cache but really cant sign in because very hard stuck as wont open, as hide very well thanks
Well i worked this one out in the car before i started my walk up the track having been caught out like that before.
So its a walk to the final and as i start looking a Roo jumps down a bank right next to me and i just about jump out of my skin, after watching the Roo make its way off into the bush i then get back to searching and soon find the hide.
Thanks for the work you have put in to this one cant see it being muggled myself.
Thanks for the cache

Found this one after a generous hint from Budgietas. We had the coordinates right, just turned out we were overcomplicating things in our hunt. Nice hide. TFTC
Doh!! Must have stuffed up our pocket query as we missed having this cache when we were right in the area
Wow, we are learning how to do caches in the rain in Tassie while on holidays. Nice quick and easy walk on a lovely day while visiting geodaughter and partner, thanks for bringing us here.

Membsec really did all the work here. I lay in the sun as was not feeling well until we got the call to say that membsec had not found. A quick walk and we found the fault in their maths but it was not too long before scottymyth had the cache. TFTC.
Was looking in the wrong spot for a while. I got a bit clever for my own good. So I widened my search and wouldn't you know it. Had some trouble access cache after I had located it.
Had tried previously but had stuffed up. I asked friends for help and found I had already had it in hand.
Found it on a cold & wet day after cancelling our usual Saturday of archery. So toddled off to find this one. Final co-ordinates solved easily and a pleasant walk by the creek which was at the highest level we've ever seen it (see photo). Love the container, and yes quite an unusual overall size for size 1. TFTC
Forgot to mention, geokid got a lovely doggy kiss from Gary the young dalmation walking with his owner.

Checked final coordinates and changed location slightly. Calculations adjusted to reflect this.
The cache is on the opposite side of the road to the fence.
You are looking for a very large micro

At this time of year the creek looks anything but inviting as a swimming pool, but finding a cache is an all year activity. It looked like trying to find the Swimming Pool cache might well take us all year too.
On the second visit, see earlier unfound log for our first effort, we were confident after studying the past logs that we would spot something. But it was not to be and gave up after plenty of searching about, including inspecting an unlikely spot under a large storm water drainage pipe.
We knew Barad Bunch had found it and sent out a “give us a hint request”. When Sue learnt of the hint she immediately thought of the object she made contact with but thought “no that couldn’t be it”, but the news made her pretty suspicious that maybe it really was.
On return for the third try proved quite quick, although Peter had to tug hard to open it. Although we waited for muggles to depart, there was the owner of a nearby house doing repair work on his fence and gate, so we had to hope he didn’t take too much notice; then again who knows he may have been the cache owner.

We knew that "Swimming Hole" was a cache not far from home and finally decided to seek it. Earlier in the week we had picked up "Spot the Frog", a moveable cache found under the Geocache Australia website and needed to deposit the little fellow somewhere. As frogs like water and this one had spent a few months on a dry hillside it seemed appropriate to lodge near a creek, so finding "Swimming Hole" was combined with the task.
We could work out the starting spot even without a GPS and soon had the next stage entered in the GPS. Much to Peter's surprise it led us back down rather than up the creek and we ended beside a fence. A bit of searching and head scratching saw us give up for now and head off to lodge our little froggy.
On return home Sue scanned through past logs and discovered several people also ended up where we did and then found this was several metres out. This has encouraged us to head back to the GZ soon and to ignore the GPS for once.

While out to do the caches on this side of the mountain we decided to do this one. A good multi and a great day out. We enjoyed the views of the swimming pool/falls in the area. T.F.T.C.
This cache was a real little gem which we enjoyed from start to finish. GZ showed us a little away from where we found the cache and there were a lot of people at the nearby house enjoying Australia day so we did use some stealth. I used some common sense and the clue to find the creative hide. Thanks Budgietas.
We were in the area and remembered seeing a multi listed here. It was rainy weather but after a quick dash to obtain the required info, completed the calculations and drove over to GZ. A couple of minutes later and the cache was in hand. I recently discovered this area and am intending on bringing the kids down here for a swim. Thanks for pointing out a great spot! And thanks for the cache

Amazing how it seems like the country just a few km from Hobart. Had to think a little for this one. Rechecked the co-ords and thought where would I hide it? Came up with the goods soon after. Thanks.
Found on a gorgeous day. I wanted a nice pram-friendly cache to do with Sparky, Lottie, and the husband. Dippedy suggested this one, and when I saw what area it was in I thought it would do the trick nicely!
I was trying to make the find a lot more challenging - but also was enjoying the swimming hole. If it had been a bit warmer and getting to the swimming hole a bit easier Sparky might have had his first swim away from the bath. In the end logic prevailed, and the cache was easily found.
Thank you for yet another great hide Budgietas; you seem to be my pregnant/newborn cache hider of choice!

It is great to see the care the local group has gone into keeping this stream and surrounds so idyllic.
A fabulous day out here and after Wp1 was worked out I had a delightful walk along a tinkling stream to the final.
Not the sort of hide I was expecting. Very well done
Thanks Budgietas.

I drove up to the first waypoint and collected the information I needed. When I got near GZ I quickly figured out where the cache must be and as there was only one item there I grabbed it and removed the container. Loved the hide. In the creek below there were some trout darting about. TFTC.
Enjoyed this multi, lots of muggles and dog muggles. GPS had us also on back fences which would make us look very suspicious characters, so took note of past logs and checked 7m away from fence. Clever hide Budgietas. TFTC
The sun had yet to penetrate this area and ice was crunching under our feet. The data was collected after scraping the ice off the dispaly. Then we set out for GZ. We were repeatedly interrupted by muggles out walking or being walked by the canine masters. Eventually we got a clear run and was able to locate the well designed and well hidden cache. TFTC budgietas.
When I set out this morning I didn't intend on doing this cache but as I was in the area how could I resist.
thanks great hide

Excellent cache. Wife found it and 4 year old left a drawing with the cache he was so excited!
A very nice location for a cache, Budgietas. It's a very pretty area, the multi works well here too. Maddie agreed that it was a good swimming hole, and while I did the calculations, she had a dip. Then we wandered off and found the cache. I didn't think I was going to be able to get it out, but got there, and logged. A very smartly put together cache, well done, Budgie.
An extremely clever hide. The only issue is with winter and rain it swelled a bit making retrieval difficult. Tftc nice work
We were stumped very briefly as we didn't read the directions and didn't realise it was a multi but once we read properly we went off for a short stroll and soon had the cache in hand. Great hide - I liked it very much . I have always loved this area, and the creek.
This was our second go looking for this one, as the first time we weren't confident that we headed in the right direction. Turned out we were in the right place the first time, kind of. Once we turned our attention away from the fence the cache was quickly found.
I was working nearby, and had some time to spare before going to a meeting that was also nearby, so this was the perfect cache to find. I made it a bit harder for myself, looking in some far trickier locations before I found the tidy hide. No problems accessing it. TFTC.
Great spot. Would have been made easier had the GPSr been telling us the correct direction though. Oh well the joys of caching. Thanks Budgie loved it
Found the required numbers, plugged them into the computer and plotted GZ. Hmmm.
Took a while to find as the GPS had us about 7m away looking at something else.
I wandered off and actually found the cache, doing a Prionotes, but then went back and had another look at it. Took me a bit to extract the cache.
Took back to the car (forgot the pen) and returned.
Thanks Budgie

Lovely spot for a dip, if you're somewhat altitudinally challenged. I looked for this one last week and even found the camoed container, but failed to heed the hint. This time I was more determined! Thanks for the cache, it is camoed par excellence!
