No luck on this one for us, searched all around but with tired legs and a tired child I called it quits. Will pop on the watch list.
Like the previous cacher, I’m pretty certain I was in the correct place but no sign of the cache.
Perhaps the CO could check.

A pleasant walk on this peaceful track. Cache and its impressive camo were found in a few minutes.
Quick easy find, while on holiday for a few days thought May as well do a few caches. Weather is holding off at the moment since its been raining most of.our trip from tauranga. Tftc
Decided to take a trip to the coromandel this weekend and collect a few caches whilst we were here.staying nearby and hired some bikes for the afternoon and found this whilst we were out and about.easy to find.lovely area.
Back where it is meant to be. About 8 m off the track. Left a t bug here. Pretty sure that it was not meant to be fully exposed and sitting under a rodent trap. This used to be our cache so have put it back where the clue suggests it should be.
The wind is really blowing hard now the usually flat inner harbor had waves and it looked very angry out there ....soon found the cache but not sure it was in the correct place or some has placed a rodent trap above it ...it's all good and signed log and replaced as found thanks G-2 you put a lot of effort into these trail caches ...I like them and appreciate the effort that is required to set and maintain so thanks ...ill do one more today as it a bit miserable out here
Not between the obvious two trees or the next obvious place but the third! All good here. Thanks for the placement G-2.
We ended up saving this one till last taking the seaside loop back to the car. Hint doesnt really relate to where the cache is located but it was still a nice quick find. TFTC!
Continued this nice walk today, some great finds and did not try the caches not found 2 days ago. Some are quite challenging and would question the terrain rating. TFTC
With some help finally found. Never thought it's under that. Plenty of destruction in the area.
Left a TB.
Thanks,

As we wandered the track we grabbed a few of these on the way to show our friends how geocaching works. Quick find. Tftc.
12.55pm - Large amounts of caching have been on the back burner since the Squirrel had his eye surgery. Cleared to go we have been looking at the Pauanui area for some time now and noted a lot of new caches have been added in the area recently.
Plan made and off we went. Day turned out to be very hot and with lots of water on board we will be okay. Decided to start on the new trail first then look at the others afterwards.
Caches didn't pose to many problems with some easier than others, scrambled up banks, read previous cachers comments to help us find. Then the good camoes etc. We seemed to be the only walkers on track apart from a few cyclist. SLTFTC

This weekend we are caching a few corners of the Coromandels that we have never visited before. We have seen Pauanui from the 'other side' many times, but somehow never made it here.
This evening we decided to make a start finding the caches along this trail. Not going to Walk the Entire Track tonight, but definitely will complete it in the morning. We did this section as part of a loop walk back to our camper. Once again there were people close by (fishing), but the cache site was just far enough away. Had more difficulty than we expected finding this cache. The hint seemed clear enough, but there seemed to be several places that could fit, and none of them held a cache. We eventually found it very close to a trap. As we were not sure exactly where it should have been, we left it as found. Thought this one was going to be a DNF.

With rebel98 completing the series, got distracted by the geo trail, but on re-reading the hint, rebel soon had the cache in his hand, and we were signing the log! A welcome shaded part of the track, love the boardwalks.
The cycle way has been quiet, only the 2 cyclists seen, and a couple of cachers

Found quickly and in good condition thanks to accurate coords and a straight forward hint. Still a little gutted after logging retrospectively and seeing all the new caches on this trail Cheers G-2 TFTC
#11369. We didn't walk the entire track today; just selected highlights that took us to caches! TFTC.
Our destination today was Tairua and Pauanui, which we didn't have time to check out on our drive from Hamilton on Tuesday. The day started a bit drizzly in Whitianga but starting clearing as we drove south.
It was a short walk from our parking spot to GZ and the cache was soon found. As we were walking back, we were passed by a group of cyclists, looked like mothers with their young daughters enjoying a social outing. Nice location for both biking and walking. TFTC.

Checking out the new cycle way. Enjoyed the view as the tide returns. Good place to leave this fish tb. Hope the grey heron do t find it , or the oyster catchers. Lots of bird life to see! Tftc
Sad to see number 3 out of action, but I went all the way to number 4 despite the rain. Enjoyed the second stint of boardwalk, especially these mossy trees. Quick find, took 2 TBs, and started to head back to the car. Unfortunately, the way back was a LOT wetter, as I was then walking into the rain. It was worth the enjoyable walk!! TFTC
Having got our boys to bed reasonably early I was granted a leave pass to go out tonight and do some Geocaching as it was our last night in Pauanui having enjoyed a nice long weekend away. By the time I got here it was pretty dark and I donned by head torch. Even at night this is a lovely walk. No problems with the find which was in the first place I looked. I dropped off two TB's I collected while up in the Bay of Islands in December. Hopefully someone picks them up soon and moves them further afield. Thanks for the quality series in a great location.
TFTC a little looking required, youngest found it.
First find of the year !!!

1112 Set off today with a mission to collect some outstanding caches for the 37 degrees challenge oh and collect some others as well. Sorry I didn't walk the entire track but will have to come back and do so.
Carried on here from the last cache and it was a lovely little walk. No worries with locating the cache and back to the car and time to head back home. TFTC
I joined forces with yorkshirekiwi83 for a couple of days caching around the Coromandel Peninsula. After a very early departure from Auckland, we then drove around the Peninsula anticlockwise, calling in at Pauanui, Tairua, Hahei and Cooks Beach, to find caches in those places, before taking the 309 Road to Coromandel, where we stayed the night. Went for a stroll along this track and made a quick find of the cache here. TFTC!

Decided to go away for an early start to the weekend and make a real effort on the Coromandel Peninsula, Vistra was up for the challenge of joining me. Quick walk down to GZ enjoying the sun and the waterfront walkway, soon found and we headed back to the car to continue our journey. TFTC

We're having a great little holiday in whangamata and having a lot of fun exploring the surrounding area, using caching as our unofficial tour guide to help us discover unknown-to-us places. We'd hoped to spend some time at the beach in pauanui today but the forecast rain has arrived early so we're taking the chance to grab a few caches around town while we wait to see if the sun comes out anytime soon.
Still raining hard when we came by here so went with the 'park as close as possible' option and the teens adamantly sat in the car while I went out to have a look. The nice thing (the only nice thing?) about caching in the rain is the distinct lack of muggles. I had the entire place to myself; haven't been here before and, with the rain now only a pleasant light drizzle, I really enjoyed the walk to GZ. The cache was an easy find as it was lying out in the open with its contents strewn across the path: I suspect it was found by muggles (see logbook pic) who may not have closed the lid properly and then it's had an accidental spill, rather than deliberate sabotage. I've tidied it all up and replaced as per hint, should be all good now hopefully, TFTC

This had to be a relay event as dogs are not allowed along this section of the boardwalk. A good hide though. Thanks!
Heavy grey clouds promised rain while I was running towards this one. I found it quickly.
I turned arund and went to the main road to go to "Check Out The View", which I did but I didn't find the cache. Thank you for this one.

Geokid having a blast! Easy finds with treasure. Thanks for the series. Been coming to Pauanui 40 years and never been past the canal end board walk finishing at Tangitori boat ramp.
There was just time to grab all the caches along this walkway before heading home. A wonderful boardwalk which has twisted and bent so they are at some weird angles. All caches found and in good condition. TFT series.
And a great walk it was too not like most of the other walks we went on which meant alot of climbing. cache all good thanks glyn
