Cache appears to be no longer in place due to a bushfire. CO has not responded to the "needs maintenance" flag and appears to reside in the USA with only periodic visits to Australia. While ever the cache remains active, searchers are logging finds on the basis that the physical log cannot be signed.
Cache has seemingly been destroyed by fire and cannot therefore be found or logged.
I was doing a few caches enroute to Windsor and the letterbox icon attracted my attention on the map and since they are fairly rare, I headed over to get it. On arrival, I saw that a fire had been through in recent times but since the cache didn't show up as disabled, I headed down into the fire ravaged bush. I saw what could well have been the cache ... but who knows, it could have been something else too ... but since I couldn't sign the log, I am reluctant to put this down as a find, as others before me have done.
Clearly, this needs urgent CO attention ... from the logs, it appears that at least 2 weeks have elapsed since the fire and the "maintenance required" call was made and in that time, 5 finds have been claimed without logging.

This area has had bush fire so it has been destroyed. Found what looks to be remains of cache.
Logging this as a find as we found remains of cache contents. A pair of scissors a blob of melted together something, due to resent fire.
This week I am slowly heading south. I am on my way to Sydney for a work function next Tuesday / Wednesday. So I am taking the rest of this week to slowly cache my way south.
After spend a day or so caching in Newcastle with Grub Fred. ( He has kindly allowed me to stay at his place for a couple of nights while I was in town. ) I am continuing my way south again.
And have finally made it to the outer suburbs of Sydney. I am staying a couple of nights in the nearby caravan park.
Today I am driving around the area heading towards letterbox and Wherigo caches, plus a few trads along the way as well.
A quick find here.
Thanks for the cache.

First letterbox so that was exciting. Drive past here quite often and had no idea it was such a lovely little spot. Tftc despite being attacked by lots of prickly bush!
Having already found ALL of the close Letterboxes to the Manning I was keen on getting another for the August Souvenirs Challenge. Two torches are better than one, so it was a quick find. Nicely camoed.
Left: a pair of disposable scissors.
"Diggin` It", Discover Me Tag, Leigh's Red Travel Racer, and Mr Knexpert's TB #3 thru for 'mileage'.

Whenever I visit Sydney I try to get as much a variety of caches as possible. So with going to the Geocaching NSW AGM Event earlier I was hoping to get x 6 different Types of caches, but with a few DNFs I only had this one as #4, and ended up with x5 for today. Still good, as I only have 4 different types of caches to get within 80 km of home - with the closest cache 42 km away! (And one of those is an Event that I plan to Attend anyway!)
I had pulled over too early, as I wasn't aware there was a safe spot nearby. Found @ 1755, so ti doesn't quite make it for the Night Caching book mark Challenge.
The good coordinates meant a quick find with MVMB, and I left a Correct Site Marker - surgical marking pen.
Brought through for mileage: 12-12-12 Event, 3 Bros NSW, Auckland NZ'13, B 2 B Travel ingot, CII-35Z, CITO - Upper Swan and Beyond geocoin, GCookie EARTH Cache 10 year Celebration Coin, Hello Cocky TB, Iconic Bridges 2012, Kengu, cache critters Baa, Neigh Neddy, and Oink, NZ Mega 13 signature, NZ Mega 2013 GCookie Coin, Oz Mega 2014 GCookie, thank you - moliva, TransAustralia, and trackable shirts.

What a gorgeous little spot to just take a moment to sit & soak up the view of surrounding nature! TNLNSL - used the recently left marker to help stamp the log. This is #3 of 7 Souvenirs of August from GCHQ. TFTC
Something just looked out of place in the area and sure enough I found the cache. Thanks.
Quick stop over to find container with plenty of round things (golf ball, marbles). Thanks Aussiecacher
We drive to Blacktown to find few caches then visit Sevbo's house for lunch.... Thank
Not quite the letterbox I was hoping for. I was trying to find a cache overlooking a post box for a British tb to be placed in. A letterbox cache was the closest I could think of.
Easy find left tb croc around the world took George and Xmas tags TFTC

This was our second letterbox cache. CJ and I found this today after heading out to the hills district.
We've also been wanting to get some letterbox caches added to our logged caches list. Getting out here has been the challenge.
This was a drive by and parking wasn't too hard on Bannerman. Thankfully there were no muggles around the GZ. The cache wasn't too hard to find. CJ quickly spotted the tell tale sign before showing me. We soon had the cache in hand, signed our second letterbox log and replaced the cache as we had found it . the container camo was excellent
It was a satisfying find and was a great day to chase down more caches. Thanks AussieCacher for another of your caches. Prolific!! SL TNLN TFTC

Our 2nd letterbox! Nice and easy. AM and I found this on a day of caching in the Cherrybrook / Castle Hill area. SL&R. We don't have an ink pad so, we couldn't stamp the logbook. TFTC, AussieCacher!
Off to Sydney today to target some letterbox caches in and around West Sydney had six on the list and managed to find all without too much bother and injury free which is always a bonus, stopped just short of the cache there was a bit of rubbish near the gz but the cache was located and stamped all in good repair TFTF
After a stressful week of work and school it was time to head out for some Geocaching to recharge the batteries.
With a round trip planned through Annangrove, Pitt Town and Kenthurst Rds this was the first find of the day.
A quick, easy find.

Headed down the thin black line again to the North Western Suburbs of the Big Smoke. Vie Ryde then out to Rouse Hill, Windsor, Annangrove etc again this morning to try my luck and find some caches I missed last trip and have some fun. Great cache. TFTC
Waited for Australia to win 5 nil in the ashes before heading out to make my find for the day. This area could do with a CITO. SL #1182 on streak day #549 TFTC
#307 (4 of 5 today)
Arrived in the middle of nowhere, but at least there was parking nearby. So, is there a trail into the bush? Not really, maybe a few nebulous geotrails that peter out.
Nothing for it but to bush bash.
Followed my slowly updating iPhone to GZ, had gone ten metres too far north, so had to change heading. Closing in I looked for possible hides. One looked very promising, so I tried that first.
CIH!
SLTNLN - looked at the stamp.
TFTC
Note to self: we need more letterbox caches closer in to the city...

Nice easy find although I had to hunt for a minute or two as I was expecting a letterbox similar to the one at Springwood.
Thanks for the cache!
Thanks for the cache!
Set a personal goal that required the finding of a Letterbox Hybrid cache, luckily there were a few not too far from home however was only able to get to it well after dark. Chose this one since it seemed to involve the least amount of bush-bashing.
Was able to drive to within 23 metres of GZ, then switched off the car engine and waited a few minutes for the eyes to adjust to the dark. Waited a little longer until there were no passing cars & headlights, then dived into the bush with torch and GPSr and scrambled through the underbrush.
Thankfully I managed to spot the hiding spot within seconds of reaching GZ and quickly had CIH. SL and hot-footed it back to the vehicle! TFTC!

7/09/13. 1:11 PM. Cache #874. Current streak: 9 days. My 5th find of 7 on a run through Glenhaven, Castle Hill and Kenthurst today. After finding Fred Cacherson, my next caches were going to be the pair in Holland Reserve, just east of here. But after being muggled out at Glenhaven oval, I abandoned them and came to this one instead. It took quite a long time to search for this one, partly because my GPSr was sending me in circles, and partly because I'd overlooked what ended up being the actual hiding spot by deeming it too small to hide anything of consequence. But finally find it I did; it had been well camo'd. Well done; TFTC. }:)
Day 26 of 31 Days of Geocaching. Cache located after a bit of fussing. this was the last of the day and we were just a little over zealous at the thought of finding a letterbox cache. Cache in good condition. Picked up TB. TFTC.
Found it on a glorious Sunday morning while in the area with evangt. Last find for the day and I didn't realise how busy this road is. We both walked right past this one until we slowed down and found it. TFTC
Geoson K found this one as the rest of the Geofamily walked straight past it. Dropped TB off. TFTC
Like others I had checked the spot. Busy road and like all of Sydney. Lots of litter. Had hoped to see an actual letter box somewhere. Tftc
Found on Day 14 of my holiday caching streak. Small detour on the way to visit my sister and two nieces. Small bush bash to ground zero then located quite quickly. GPS was spot on. TFTC AussieCacher!!
Found myself cominig the wrong way but there was a break in the traffic to get to the pull off zone. Made my way down the hill but the iPhone initially took me a bit far. Once it settled I went back up the hill and found it next to a spot I had already checked on the way down. Interesting little bit of bush, might be worth exploring more. Thanks AussieCacher.
Arrived at GZ searched the area and Geo Daughter Alana found hiding spot for cache, took small puzzle and left a plastic frog.
It is a shame the rubbish some travelers dump in the bush.

My last day while in Sydney for this trip so decided to head out this side of this great city and add a few letterbox caches and some traditionals to my tally as letterboxes are few and far between down in Geelong as I own the only two.
The GPS was not being very helpful in guiding me to the area but I eventually arrived and was lucky to be able to park fairly close. Found after a short search.
Thanks to AussieCacher for placing this cache. That's two down with two to go I hope.

I received an alert that this one contained the "CATCH ME IF YOU CAN" TB, which I have been after for a while, so I drove out to pick it up. I don't think I have been this far down Glenhaven Road before, it goes forever. I parked in the bus turning area, which I thought was a fairly safe thing to do on a Sunday, and found myself just metres from GZ. The cache was soon discovered and the TB removed for examination. SL, TFTC AussieCacher.
Another letterbox! Four in a day... some kind of record? The Rats walked straight by this one, thankfully I spotted it.
Cheers

Heading out to western Sydney today. Hoojar and I set about finding some of the many caches that dot the area.
Our final letterbox cache for the day and luckily we were able to park close and after a short walk, one that had me walking straight past GZ. The cache and an interesting TB were soon found.
Thanks

We entered the bush from the wrong angle and that made this cache take longer than it should have.
This was found on our "Hurry up and get pprass to 9,999 caches" caching weekend. They are celebrating at an event in April so better be there before then!
Thanks for the cache AussieCacher

We needed a good sized cache to drop off a TB before leaving the Sydney metro area and let me tell you that is not easy to do with so many nano's and micro's about. What is happening to this town.
We were looking for quite some time for this cache and kept on overlooking the simple hiding spot - maybe because we thought it was too simple.[|)]
Thanks AussieCacher.

After getting soaked at the last cache when the rain suddenly started pouring down, I thought we had finished caching for the day. But the rain cleared as suddenly as it started, so we took a slight detour to look for this one.
Nice quick find, thank you

While picking up some of the out of ordinary caches, this was on the list. Nice quick find today with JMD, loving the easy caches. Thanks
The rain had started but we were there so thought 'why not'. It was only a short walk through the bush and a quick look as coordinates were spot on. Found it, logged it and ran back to the car and home for a cuppa. TFTC
Found it! Got down there and started searching. Took about 20mins as I saw where it was hidden but it was hard to see with the camo tape around it as well as the camo that covered it. Once I looked deeper on where I thought it could be first I was happy as it has been listed as fairly easy. As other posts say it is a shame about the rubbish dumped from the road. Took TB LN SL TFTC - Liam*
Having done a cache near by the opportunity to pick up a Letter Box cache was too great so we headed on over. Shame about the dump of rubbish but we avoided it and made our way the short distance to the cache. A quick aearch and teh cache was in hand. We signed the log and dropped off a TB. TFTC

Stopped by this one on my way home from grabbing a couple of local caches. It's a shame people feel it necessary to dump their rubbish. It certainly spoils an area. The items are too big for a quick CITO. Found the hide easily with excellent coordinates. Even managed to add a stamp to my log. My little granddaughter would love this one. Also picked up the Apres Cache Geocoin to move it on. Thanks AussieCacher for the hunt.

Spotted the camo but at first it didn't click. So simple yet effective. Lotsa fubbish. TFTC
This was my first letterbox cache but as I had no inkpad for the stamp, I guess it is no different to a regular cache?
I wouldn't mind spending a bit more time exploring the bushland around this area, but for today it was a quick drive-by and an easy find. I signed log and dropped off a trackable which I have had for way too long.

Third cache of the day on the way back from Glenhaven, stopped very close and made our way to GZ, light failed instantly and had trouble locating. After five minutes and reading the logs we too stumped up the cache and signed the log.
This place could be so nice if it wasn't a rubbish dump for Pikey Scum, spoiled the experience immensely having to watch what you grab hold of.
Take your litter home people, was too dark and too much to trash out, but maybe we should have a cache in trache out event at this spot.

Drove past the layby first then chucked a U'y and was able to approach and make a swift find. We really wanted to find a letterbox cache as this is new to us - there aren't any closer to home. We made our way to GZ and spotted a likely place a few minutes later. TFTC
Found today while out caching with TeamBooo, BoosDad and BoooBoo - only the second letterbox for me.
Thanks For The Cache
found while out on a caching family afternoon with TeamBooo Booo Booo Boo's Dad and Rebeccavoy

4th day on holiday around Sydney. Really enjoying the good weather and fun caches. Soon had this one located. SL TFTC
As others have said its sad about the area. This was a great intro into letter boxing, sadly one I wasn't completing equipped for... I will return properly with a pad.
So.. is the cache in this tape deck stereo? LOL - lots of rubbish around sadly - but the cache was away from the majority of it thankfully. It was located after circumnavigating it a few times TFTC AussieCacher - the cache is in good condition
0905 am. Found a nice area to pull off the road to park, a short stroll into the bush and we soon had CIH. Cache in good condition.

Another leftover from our big caching day last Saturday where we found 32 caches including a LOT by AussieCacher. Pulled up in the handy lay-by and followed the geocachers' track into the bush. Went in circles and then spotted the camo and made the find. Signed and replaced.
As others have noted, pity about the filthy rubbish. Somewhere around longitude E150 there's a point heading west where it seems it's okay to dump rubbish by the truckload if there's no one around.
Anyway, thanks!

An easy find, not too far into the bush. It's a pity that so much dumping has happened here, some of which looks like bags of dead, furry animals - ik!
