Our bird watching club does the walk along Blue Gum Creek from time to time as it's a fantastic location for native birds, especially in spring. So I have had the opportunity to search for this cache before but given the amount of time it takes to walk from the pin drop co-ordinates and then look for the cache I haven't had any success. Last night I prepared and did the calculated projection coming up with some possible co-ordinates for GZ. This morning I left home at sunrise so I could be here early and find the cache. I parked the geomobile fairly close to GZ and walked straight to GZ where there was something worth investigating, and behold, a cache was found!TFTC # 6228
Like some other finders, I learnt that I ought to project something first. Left my geomobile for a bushy stroll. Found the container easily once at my calculated coords. Last geofind today as my phone got frozen afterwards. Unable to seek more geocaches for the next 2.5 sunshine hours, ah well. TFTC AussieCacher
TFTCNice quick find. The log isnt in a bag but is dry as the one in box is ripped but probably should be.
Well we didn't read the cache description properly and after getting to the posted GZ realised our mistake. Quickly recomputed and off we went. Found the caches and completed the formalities. Thanks AussieCacher.

Came here after a family bushwalk. Didn't work out where GZ would be before arriving, so ended up busbashing our way in. Miraculously Geodad found the cache. A bit of experience and instinct never goes astray. TFTC!

On a long journey today to finally reach the peak! After clearing out kenthurst we were still a little from the apex, so we came down here. Nice easy one and the best so far today. Thanks!!

A few hours off from garden chores to do a few caches in the area. Initially I wanted to do the nearby Wherigo, but I did spot any nearby parking. Luckily there were a few more caches nearby like this letterbox.
The information was found and the final location calculated. There the cache was quickly spotted and I added my name to the log.

Found with [@coybear2000](http://coord.info/PR9547H). We were in the vicinity and decided to try for this one. We parked nearby, leaving muggle friends with the car. We arrived at the listed co-ords and set the bearing and the distance. Once at GZ we started our search and soon had CIH. Log stamped and all replaced and we headed back to the car. TFTC.
In the local area with [@trodectus](http://coord.info/PR8JTE0) and the family visiting an open garden. After the garden visit as we were heading home, we decided to stop and have a go at this one. Parked car and walked to WP, entered bearing and distance and off we headed. Once at GZ, the cache was quickly located. Log signed and returned. TFTC
Teamed up with 154Crows to find a variety of caches in the Western Sydney area. Thanks to all Cache Owners for their contribution to this recreational activity!
Made the find after approaching from the top side. Thanks For The Letterbox.

When Muppet95 suggested we spend part of the week-end in Sydney I cleared my calendar preparatory to blitz Saturday. We got a fairly early jump on the day, weren't long and we were Penrith-bound, and landed at our first stop by nine o'clock. The rest of the day was full on, completing ten Adventure Labs in the process, and made our way from Penrith up to Windsor, back to Blacktown via Riverstone and finally ending up in Ingleburn. Only a couple park n' grabs, several long walks, no DNFs, and one abandoned prospect as we discovered we were not prepared for a swimming find. All but a couple were adventures whether or not they were labs. I lost count of everything we did except that we made it back home before the local pizzeria closed at nine o'clock. It was a pretty good workout. Oh, and the weather was perfect. Thanks to all the COs for a great day!
Working my way from Riverstone to Galston, picking up all sorts of caches. Weather is holding great and a lot of fun caches today.

#2673 came for a drive after going to a dawn service at Lalor Park. Parked at the listed spot and went to the listed coords did the conversion and headed off. Soon approaching GZ and headed into the bush. Soon after found the container. My conversion was out by 8 metres
With cache in hand we signed the log and replaced as found. Both the cache and log are in good condition. Thanks for bringing me to the area and thanks for placing the cache AussieCacher

OCW marj01 around Rouse Hill, Annangrove and Kenthurst. After a short stroll we were soon stamping the book. TFTC AussieCacher.
We are travelling from Sydney’s Northern Beaches to Vineyard for a short three day caching holiday, staying in a park cabin at the Avina Caravan Park, and planning on exploring the areas around Vineyard, McGraths Hill, Mulgrave, Windsor, Wilberforce, and Ebenezer. And being the final weekend of the Cache Carnival (ends Monday) we will be looking to maximise our score on the Friends Leaderboard. This was our 3rd find of the day, and of the holiday.
After finding the straightforward Letterbox cache as our first cache find of the day, we now came to this Letterbox cache with a twist. Found what we needed at the posted coordinates, then followed the overgrown track all the way to GZ, where the cache was a quick find. Stamped & signed the logbook, TNLN, and then replaced as found. We then exited to the road for a much faster, and easier, journey back to the geomobile. TFTC AussieCacher.

found with gm10 and u_c. bashed our way in from t sign found cache then realised we left pen in car so we started back to the car. on way back i was feeling sick and dizzy with chest pains probably from the heat and exhaustion and the fact i left all our water in car. took me nearly an hour to get back to car then spent about 20 or 30 mins in car to recover and we slowly drove home.
Don't climb up from the bottom of the hill its steep and there are better ways to get the cache
OCW PelDroedGwin in a new area, chasing Butterfly
I live letterbox caches and this one had an interesting twist
A lovely area to explore too

OCW the Bebes. Once we got to the location we realised there was another step. Once plotted we headed off to GZ and quickly had cache in hand. Tftc
Located at 10:36am. #701. After logging the nearby Wherigo as my 700th milestone, I couldn’t resist the urge of a Letterbox Hybrid Cache as I’ve only previously logged three of this cache type. I parked close by to the posted coordinates and headed in where after some rustling and rummaging I had CIH. My paranoia seems to be increasing and I constantly worried I looked out of place or was trespassing, same as with the nearby Wherigo. Thankfully, all went smoothly and no trouble occurred. Спасибо! תודה! L’chaim! TFTC!
After our Parisian trip in the first week of the Easter holidays, we (i and my husband Voske1967) went for 3 weeks to the other side of the world to enjoy the friendly atmosphere, food, landscapes and culture of Australia. Of course, geocaches were also searched for and found in Perth, Monkey Mia, Denham, Newman, Port Hedland, Darwin, Alice Springs, Sydney, ... . This trip downunder will stay with us for a long time! It was pretty hot in Australia for the autumn season
On the way here I'd almost run over a black wriggly stick. Beautiful but deadly. So I was on the alert for more of these lethal serpents. Fortunately on the way to GZ and back I did not have any further encounters of the reptilian kind.
At GZ I looked in a few spots before finding the cache. Signed the log with my trusty micro-pencil because my pen had disappeared earlier in the day.

I was prepared with some coordinates from a calculation and managed to park quite close to GZ and walked over through quite open scrub, where the probable location was soon found. I was hesitant to reach in for the container and used my walking pole to retrieve and replace, although there was no sign of inhabitants. Thanks AussieCacher for a great hide to find on a very hot day.
Pacgirl and I flew up to Sydney to visit Snoopy for a few days. The trip included sightseeing, socializing, and just a 'little' caching . My geopartners sometimes got a little impatient - they're obviously more muggles than they are cachers .
Today we headed north-west to Rouse Hill.
Another great piece of bush here - close to civilisation yet secluded.
After messing up an earlier letterbox I paid closer attention to the instructions on this one. And by Gum, a few minutes later my Blue signature was in the Letterbox!
Thanks, AussieCacher.

Out on a road trip to drop some stuff at Kurrajong from the central coast today with the young geolads and we did a little caching along the way ...or was it that we were out geocaching today and decided to make a delivery while we were at it? Dunno lol but a fun day was had by all as we kicked things off around this area with three AussieCacher LBHs. I can't resist a LBH! We stopped here first where youngest novo made a quick find while the rest of us were like 30m away. Stamped ours with yours and yours with ours. TFTLBH!

We had a course plotted across Sydney today, from letterbox to letterbox, on our way to Bathurst for the weekend. We made a meal of parking here at first, first using the road right at the published coords, then trying for something better put us on Blue Gum Road, and no turn back option for a long way! We ended up parking on Tallawung Place and walking over.
We found the sign, projected a waypoint and went bush rather than the road. It was a nice place to stretch the legs after a morning in the car. The cache was found in line with the hint at GZ, our projected GZ being about 10m from where we found the cache. Another good camouflage job AussieCacher - thanks.

In Sydney for the day targeting a few combos and cache types to work on some challenge cache criteria.
I need another 10 letterboxes so this was on my list! Slightly disappointed as it wasn't very 'letterbox' like (no stamp?) but beggars and choosers I guess

Found with JordsAU. Went for a drive from the North Shore. Decided to go caching around this area! Cheers for the cache!
18/4/17 Found with morry9. An afternoon out caching saw us collect the 'Letterbox in the Valley' Letterbox / Hybrid, 'The Borg #1- Locutus', 'The Butterfly Effect? #1', the 'Blue Gum Letterbox' Letterbox / Hybrid, 'The Borg #2 - Hugh (3rd of 5)', '"THE BIG UNIT"', 'Holland - Not Netherlands' and 'Reserved'. Thanks For The Caches to the respective Cache Owners.
Quick find in the first place I looked. This was the second letterbox of the day. Calculated the GZ at home and walked the track suggested and came out the easy short way but this way is more exposed to nearby observation. TFTC
A quick caching morning with MrSmith00 around the Kenthurst area.
We pulled up near the t sign and MrSmith00 was off into the bush, it was all I could do to keep up. He'd found the cache just as I made it to the gz.
The walk back to the car was slightly more pleasant.
Sorry for the copy/paste logs.

I dragged Azzepious on another geocaching day. We previously tried to do a caching day up this way but got rained out. After looking at the forecast it was only supposed to be about 27deg after the previous sweltering day. Should be some nice weather for caching. As we progressed the car said the outside temperature was 27, 28, 29, 30, 31. I think the B.O.M was lying to us. Not only was it hot, it felt like it was about 120% humidity.
We still managed to grab a fair few caches but called it quits around lunch time. We will be back for more!
***
Tftc, thought this was going to be a park and grab. We followed the clues and made our way to our suspected GZ. I was in one place while Azzepious was searching the lower part. I made my way to him, 'searched here yet?' 'Not yet, but its probably there'. It was.

Came out today to hunt some Borg. Picking up a few other caches on the way. Found a nice quiet parking spot and walked back to the sign. I had already calculated GZ but wanted to follow the instructions. The path wasn't immediately obvious but stay parallel to the road going up the hill and you can't miss it. GZ ended up being about 20m away from where I parked. Cache and contents in good order.

We wanted to try to find five different categories of caches on this day, so we headed out west to this Letterbox cache. From the starting point we took a more direct route to the cache, instead of the smarter way that we could have taken. Anyway, the cache was found, in good condition, and we signed the log before heading off towards a cache of another category.

15/12/15. 10:38 AM. Cache #2396. Streak day #541.
1 of 2 caches in Kenthurst this morning with Yelyac.
At first, we thought this was going to be a simple park and grab, until I read the description and saw the multi nature of this cache. It was easy taking a bearing at first, towards some trees, and then a narrow path followed the bearing more or less for the rest of the way.
Once in the area, I used the hint to try a few spots and then called Yelyac over once I had spotted the box. After signing and replacing, we took the low terrain option back to the car, and then continued to "The Borg #2 - Hugh (3rd of 5)". TFTC.

My second find for the morning and the first of two letter box caches on the day. Arrived at GZ and performed a search of the area finding nothing. Reread the notes and learned why I found nothing. After resetting the GPS off to another GZ a short search and the cache was in hand. Signed log and replaced, tftc.
I took a nice walk and was astonished by the what the beautiful nature there has to offer.
I enjoyed the nice view and peaceful view and have of course looked for a couple of caches.

Noticing the Geocaching NSW 2015 AGM event on today in Carlingford, we teamed up with JJCC for a big day of caching. Setting ourselves the challenge of trying to find as many cache types as we could as we worked our way back home from the 2015 City to Surf early this morning.
After finishing The Search for Ned Kelly and the Stolen Treasure Whereigo cache down the road we drove up the valley and turned into the No Through Road and tried to find a parking spot. We eventually parked right near the T sign at the posted coordinates. Re-reading the cache details at the site we realised we had to make some calculations, so extracting the one bar of phone coverage at the site we calculated the coordinates needed and walked to GZ.
Approaching the cache we spied a likely position for a bush letterbox and soon had the cache in hand. Signing the log we replaced the container with the contents untouched. A great cache for the geokids and also a great introduction for us to the Letterbox cache.
This Letterbox cache was cache type number five of eight for today...and our first Letterbox cache.
Both the cache log and container are in excellent condition. TFTC AussieCacher

Heading home from the Geocaching NSW 2015 AGM event Meet and Greet we continued on our epic day to achieve all the different types of caches. As had already completed a Virtual, an Event, an Earth cache and Werigo for the day. Starting at 3 am volunteering for the 2015 City to Surf.
We choose to complete our first Blue Gum Letterbox cache AussieCacher as it was only a short distance in the car from the Wherigo cache The Search for Ned Kelly and the Stolen Treasure.
We parked the car as close to the coordinates indicated.
With coordinates in hand we walked to the GZ and found a likely location for a bush letterbox and
soon had the cache in hand. Log was signed and returned as found the cache and log in good condition.

Back on the road to continue the cache run.

I rarely get out this way, but managed to have excuses to be in the area twice in a few days. Although, I worked out trying to drive from Ryde to here at approx 5pm is absolutely no fun ...
I arrived in absolute blackness, but did the required navigation quite well, and it didn't take me too long at all.

With a good variety of hides in some interesting locations, we were kept busy all day.
Cache found quickly, and in good condition.
Many thanks for placing this cache, AussieCacher, for us and others to find.

Decided to head up Kenthurst way to grab a few caches this afternoon - in particular two letterbox caches in the area.
First seven caches I targeted were all found. The last two attempts ended in abject failure - oh the ignominy!
* * * END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION * * *
Took a few minutes to work out where to park for this one, but ended up picking the right spot.
Walked a short distance to a spot I thought would be a good starting point, and then checked the iPhone. OK, that way.
Soon spotted some likely areas to search, and shortly after had CIH. Completed signing duties and replaced.
I'm sure this would have been even quicker if I'd brought the Magellan with me.

I can't believe how close I was to this one last night and yet it did not pop on my to do list!
I made up for that with a cheeky dash back on my way across town. (I am not from Sydney but I can safely say this area is in no way 'across town' for anyone!).
I followed the instructions and thought how much they didn't make sense - that is until I made my way out! A nice little walk in the park thanks.
Cache found easily enough, and spot on as per the instructions!

First find on our way from North Sydney to Kenthurst. Went a bit far on the M2 so found ourselves along here. Parked very near to GZ but walked down to the starting point to then make our way back! Nice spot and appropriately named for a couple of reasons. Stamped log and SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek
This week I am slowly heading south. I am on my way to Sydney for a work function next Tuesday / Wednesday. So I am taking the rest of this week to slowly cache my way south.
After spend a day or so caching in Newcastle with Grub Fred. ( He has kindly allowed me to stay at his place for a couple of nights while I was in town. ) I am continuing my way south again.
And have finally made it to the outer suburbs of Sydney. I am staying a couple of nights in the nearby caravan park.
Today I am driving around the area heading towards letterbox and Wherigo caches, plus a few trads along the way as well.
I soon found the path and then discovered how to use my new GPSr to get to this cache.
Thanks for the cache.

#1 of 9 on the final day of August cache diversity challenge to see how many different cache types I could find or attend in a single day. An early start saw me head over to the Blue Gum forest near Annangrove to find my nearest unfound Letterbox Hybrid. I'd calculated GZ from the bearing and distance information, so it was a quick stroll down to GZ for an easy find. SL TFTC AussieCacher!
#2646- I was out on my own today, trying to achieve three more of the souvenirs of August. This was my third type for the day. Before I left, I borrowed biker buddy's GPS as it had the necessary thing required to do this. You see, despite having done over 2500 caches, I had never done one with a bearing and distance before, as my little GPS does not have that function. So with a quick lesson, I was off. On arrival at GZ, I couldn't spot anything that matched the clue, but with a short wander a few further metres NNW, I found the cache tucked in safely. Thanks AussieCacher- great to get to this one finally. a favourite for the learning experience.
TFTC a leylands walk with the Booos. We wandered around for a little while and then read the description...that made it a lot easier.

Parked up close to the T-sign, and was a pleasant walk to the general area of GZ. Looked at a few likely spots, and one of them turned out to be correct. TFTC, left a TB

Wouldn't have found it without the clue. I'm not good at navigation with bearings in the bush.
Took us a while to find the path as it is vague where it starts but after that we were soon at GZ. Looked at the spot where the cache was hidden quite a few times before spotting it quite out in the open!! Signed and replaced a little better. Then returned by road. Thanks for a fun and different cache and a nice bit of bush.
Found by Nanny and Bo early on a Saturday afternoon.
We signed the log.
We took nothing and left nothing.
Thanks very much for this different cache.

Now this is letterboxing! This was our fourth letterbox cache. CJ and I found this today after heading out to the hills district.
We've also been wanting to get some letterbox caches added to our logged caches list. Getting out here has been the challenge.
This was a drive by and parking wasn't too hard ooff Blue Gum Road. This one was a little more challenging. Thankfully there were no muggles around and finding the GZ was not too difficult. The cache wasn't hard to find. I quickly spotted the tell tale sign before showing CJ. We soon had the cache in hand, signed our fourth letterbox log and replaced the cache as we had found it. The container camo was excellent.
We headed next to Aussiecacher's Ned Kelly WhereIgo, but without iPhone signal we had to abandon this one.
Anyway, it was a satisfying find and was a great day to chase down more caches. Thanks AussieCacher for another of your caches. Prolific is all we can say!! SL TNLN TFTC

Our 4th letterbox today. AM and I found this on a day of caching in the Castle Hill area. SL&R. We don't have an ink pad so, we couldn't stamp the logbook. TFTC, AussieCacher!
Off to Sydney today to target some letterbox caches in and around West Sydney had six on the list and managed to find all without too much bother and injury free which is always a bonus using the cords in the hint we were put appox 160 from the stated, a nice walk today with the cache soon located, all in good repair stamped book TFTC
After a stressful week of work and school it was time to head out for some Geocaching to recharge the batteries.
With a round trip planned through Annangrove, Pitt Town and Kenthurst Rds this was the fifth of the day.
I haven't worked out how to do bearings on the GPS yet and was wishing I had a compass. Good Scouts that we are we plotted our course using the sun, arrived at GZ and quickly had CIH.

Great letterbox cache. We followed the little track from the starting point, clearing the spiderwebs as we went (sadly, some with my face). Reached a point roughly ~155m WSW from the starting point and spotted what the clue was referring too ...had CIH shortly afterwards (again, had to clear quite a lot of spiderwebs to be able to retrieve). Although neither of us had a stamp, we used our personalised stickers for our log instead. TFTLC!!
Out for a bit of morning caching with my wife, Viola, and daughter SSSonya. Nice spot to visit with easy trail to final location. TFTC
Arrived at starting point unaware of this being like a multi. Had GZ shortly afterwards, thanks Aussiecacher
Enjoyed wander along to the GZ, signed the log with skyejam. Thanks AussieCacher
Can finally cross this one off my list as it used to be in my top 20 closest to home when I first started caching 2 years ago. SL #1098 TFTC
Made this more difficult then it needed to be so spent about 40 mins falling flat on my face. Had forgotten stamp so had to sign.

I'd finished a few chores in the morning and, it being a nice day, decided to take a drive out to attempt some of the caches along Blue Gum Road as they have been on my radar for some time.
I did the calculations for this one beforehand and, with the coordinates punched into my GPSr, I went straight to GZ for a quick find.
Nice spot, thanks AussieCacher.

My last day while in Sydney for this trip so decided to head out this side of this great city and add a few letterbox caches and some traditionals to my tally as letterboxes are few and far between down in Geelong as I own the only two.
The GPS was not being very helpful in guiding me to the area but I eventually arrived and was lucky to be able to park close by.
I had worked out GZ before arriving and had it in GSAK so it turned out to an easy find.
Thanks to the AussieCacher for placing this cache, that's a few of yours today.
Thanks.

Another 'interesting' cache type today with The Rats. Walked the required bearing and distance and found the cache in the first place that I looked... Woohoo!
Cheers

Heading out to western Sydney today. Hoojar and I set about finding some of the many caches that dot the area.
Another letterbox cache for us today. Starting at WP1 we paced our walk and direction to the T. The first spot we started to look and presto, the cache was in hand.
Thanks

While picking up some of the out of ordinary caches, this was on the list, after searching around for awhile, we had a glimpse of the description and realise that we weren't at GZ, after a stroll up the road the cache was soon found. Thanks
A nice walk through the bush, following the directions and hint. TFTC - love the bush hides.
Commitments had us out this way and with the rain having backed off it was time for a cache or 2. It was not that far so hoped it was not too wet under foot. We got to GZ after soon finding the track and took the geo trail as our GPS was at the right distance. A wild rabbbit bolted from the cache hide (seem to being seeing more rabbits probably fromthe fox baiting) and soon made the find in the likely spot. We soon completed the signing duty before rehiding. Saw Alfy's seat on the way out. TFTC
Some new caches had brought me to the area and it was a good opportunity to do some older ones too, despite the 33º heat.
I wandered down the track after calculating the reverse heading and started searching many interesting spots. without success. Then took a bit more care at getting the azimuth right and found a possible spot up higher. Did a compass recal and it put me at exactly the same spot. Looked a bit harder then and Doh! had CIH. Took the trackable to move on. TFTC AC.

Guesstimated the distance along the track and soon found the cache nicely tucked away. Thanks AussieCacher.
After searching the wrong area we reread the discription and worked out location. Once there I spotted the familar cache camo and made the grab. Stamp dry with no ink SLTN..TFTC
