today lovely day, very easy stroll on park and path to gz as looked around still looked around, come back checked on previous logs [:0] oh I didn't realize to read log comments was dnf listed, now for us still unable to find cache there, we beleive its gone, can you please check there if gone or what??? thanks
Night time search pretty sure we had the location but no cache to be found, but for a small outline of where the cache should have been. Possibly muggled.
Found during a quick detour on the way to the office. The satellite gods weren't with me at first and then there were a few passing pedestrian muggles to wait for. Thanks Geosamurai111.
Amazing that this is still ok. A bit damp and rather exposed. Nice quick find. Thanks
Quick find in a park that I frequented many times over my teenage years. Located with partners in crime. TFTF (It was a tiny bit wet though)
Nice quick cache with Atompson and DanBarton.

Good place for a cache. Though the container needs maintenance and it is a very easy find. TFTC TNLN
#186 What a busy morning St Ives Village Green! A couple of softball matches are being played. I was still able to quietly retrieve this cache as the muggles are fixated on the games of their daughters. Thanks for taking me here. TFTC!
I know a cache is a cache, but I really couldn't see the point of this one. :S
Found it really quickly and complted the duties before heading off to find a tap to wash the mud off my hands.

Nicely hidden. Some rain and mud had seeped in - cleaned it out, and left our first ninja
I walked towards this one, across a very soggy oval, with growing disbelief that there could be a geocache where the GPS said. But, sure enough, I pulled back the camo, dug a little and found one very muddy Sistema box! The log was fairly dry though the box was wet inside - not suprising given the location. TFTC
This is a remarkable cache if only for the fact that it has existed for nearly 5 months in a very exposed spot. Maybe it says something about the locals - what they will and won't stop to pick up. Anyway, signed & was on my way, unnoticed by the local tennis playing fraternity. Thanks Geosamurai111.
Find #1071 - 5 for today. Found on 26/06/11 12:32 PM
Very easily found, not hidden very well. Maybe should have used an eclipse tin, seem to be finding a lot of these in St Ives. Did my business and returned and tried to cover it up as best as I could. Thanks. TNSLLN

Number four for the afternoon, quick find and little interest in me from all the muggles playing baseball. SL and returned to the hide with a smear of extra mud... TNLN TFTC
Log book and inside the container is wet. Coords were right on so it was a quick find with no muggles around. TFTC
Reperio at 0900. Arrived at GZ with no one around, and knew where to find the cache, although certainly wasn't expecting the size of the cache to be that big...doesn't really fit too well there...It was completely covered in mud, which was probably the only thing hiding it.

Easy find, maybe too easy. Cache was sitting in open! Log book partially wet, water has leaked into the cache box. Not sure how long this one will last, especially with the recent weather!
Found by sle375 and pyroguy24 just as it started raining. Pad was damp put a silica bag in tere to help keep it dry.
It was muggle mania here this afternoon - Saturday sport! Anyway I sat down next to GZ with my bike helmet, looking cruisy, and found the cache no problem. Thanks geosamurai
Find #718
GAFF-0
Arriving before 5.30am, it was easy to pick the only possible spot and to nake the find with noone likely to see in the dark.
A nice obvious hide but sneaky enough to beat the muggles.
thanks

A high muggle area. Grass cutting had been done recently. Grabbed the cache that was quite muddy from recent rain. The container was actually in plain view so not sure about the long term viability of this cache. Signed the log and returned when clear. Added some grass clippings for extra camouflage. Hope it lasts. Thanks for the hide.

At first Satanas 666 was convinced that the cache had been muggled, but a more extensive search had it in hand soon enough.
Thanks Geosamurai111.
Thanks Geosamurai111.
I did have to dig deep for this one on a very rainy Saturday afternoon. A great hide that could very easily be missed. Well done!
A quick find on a rainy day. The rain was good news and bad news. Good news-Muggles weren't around. Bad news-Cache was muddy and wet. Fortunately the inside was dry! TFTC Geosaumurai111.
P.S Had to take out a swag item to insure the lid could close and nothing would get wet. Sorry swag owner.

After visiting Anna's sister who has just moved to Willoughby it was time to grab a couple of caches in between the showers. Missed this one last weekend as I missed the turnoff. Got it right this time, luckily the rain had dampened enthusiasm for the park use but we still had to be a bit careful.
Took a bit longer to find than it should have but was in hand quickly enough. TFTC.

Interesting cache to dig deep for, when it has been raining all night, muddy. muddy. Signed the logbook.
This one had got a bit exposed and very muddy with all the rain, but covered it well when i left... Nice straightforward cache, TnLn. Thanks Geosamurai111 .. (OR JuniorNSIYeti 2???)

So a trip was in order to hunt for a few newly hidden caches in St Ives. First stop was Dig Deep. I had already read the logs, but really didn't need to, as the desciption itself was VERY specific. So I parked near gz and walked to where gps was leading me. The closest item was searched and deep I went. The cache popped out for me to SL. I felt very wary, like I was being watched though. It's very much in the open. TNLN and returned. Tennis anyone ?? TFTC.

Well, I wasn't expecting to find it there. I was thinking "gotta be magnetic". Took TB. TFTC
Nice one to fill in a hole in the caching calendar. The printout I had showed a difficulty of 4.5 so went expecting a long search. Quick one.
Nice hide quick and easy on my way to get some lunch and the Great War Cache.

I found that I could park the GeoBuru2 quite close to this St. Ives GZ -- barely 35 metres away, in fact -- and strolled off down the little concrete path towards the tennis courts without my GPSr. I was confident I could spot the cache without the aid of electronics!
And so it proved. No-one was near enough to interrupt my cache retrieval and I spotted a convenient nearby bench to use for the usual cache formalities. The container was in good shape and proved big enough for the 'Bilby' TB I'd been carrying around (and finding micro after micro, all too small for a TB).
TNSL.
Many thanks to Geosamurai111!

I didn't have the co-ords on me but I remembered reading the description so I had a vague idea of where it was. The park was busy today with tennis, kids and skateboarding happening.
Without the co-ords I had to check out most of the area but as usual, I should have checked the first place I thought of (trust your instincts).
The cache is well despite the grass being recently mowed. I rehid it again as I found it.

Found by Nanny and Bo on a warm Friday afternoon.
The difficulty rating of 4 1/2 is much too high as the description tells exactly where to look. (Can we suggest taking out the words "under the power pole" from the cache description - see "edit listing" in the box at top right).
This is a pleasant area and a well hidden cache. The grass had been recently mown and did not affect the cache.
Signed Log.
No swaps.
Thanks for a excellent cache for children .

You should look for this cache real soon, as it will surely disappear at the first Council cleanup, due now from the length of the grass. TNLN, thanks for this hide in a strangely deserted park.
For the start of my adventure read my log for "Wahroonga's Kokoda". After the FTF there at 1140am I headed towards St Ives and drove around the block trying to find the laziest approach. Found myself at the end of a cul-de-sac where there was actually a spot to park! Not easy in and around St Ives! GPSr led me straight to GZ and I made the unexpected find at 1154am. Opened up the cache to see some writing... no it was instructions from the cache owner. *FTF* Signed the log, left a note for alfyboy, and replaced the cache as well as it was placed, maybe a little better even!
Had a spare pencil so I dropped that in. Logbook needs a ziplock bag though so someone can drop one in.
Nice hide.
Thanks!

PS: the 4.5 difficulty is a bit overrated as you tell us where it is. A 2.5-3.0 is more reasonable.
