Time for this one to go. 12 years in the field and the cache is beyond saving, but it was a good run.
Thanks to all who found it in that time...

Need to make a decision with this one. Will do when in location in a few weeks.
Wandering through blackthorn (bursaria spinosa) forest felt like finding sleeping beauty. Coord several meters off for me (had to go downhill) but clue was enough to clinch the deal. Cache cracked, split and on the edge of full disintegration. Cockroaches now call it home.
Love the point Hut Pond views. TFTC Sol De Lune!

Looked too hard through the prickles but didn’t have to! Great views. Thanks
Tackled this one from behind and was a little more prickly than needed it turns out. Had to do a little sleuthing around GZ as their are a few hidey spots. Finally had cache in hand, signed the log book, and the geopooch and I took in some views before heading onward. Nice little spot, TFTC!
Coordinates had me about 5 metres too far uphill, after extended the search a little bit I found the cache at a slightly lower elevation
A parking waypoint AND description of how to get to GZ!
Absolutely love that and wish everyone would include that in their listings, it made for a much more pleasant walk / experience which is how it should be
So a favourite point for that! As well as the great views and old cache hide!
Thanks SDL

#1704 Set myself a goal of picking up a few on the mountain this morning. Four hours later I had cleared a fair section top to bottom. This was the first and was surprising to find this little clearing after what I came through to get here. Thanks for the cache and this series Sol de lune. I've found a few now.
Tricky to find, and very spikey! Went to right clearing eventually. Found a friend nearby too
Glad that rain drowned that redback that had set up camp in the container. Log nice and dry though. Tftc
A great viewing place with not so great spikeys all around. Widened my search after a bit and then found nicely. Cache lid broken, inside all wet, but log dry thanks to a baggie. Thank you!
Great to give this one done love after so long unfound. As others have done I initially targeted the wrong log in the wrong clearing before widening my search and locating the cache in a spot with much better views. Good to see the cache and log dry despite the recent rain. Thanks, SDL, and another favourite from me.
Now that's another fine view you've gotten me into. I've done a few of these now. I wonder how many more to go! TFTC Sol de lune.
GPS had me in slightly the wrong clearing but I scouted our and soon enough the cache was visible.
A warm day, but decided to go for a walk on Tuggeranong hill after being stuck at home for the school holidays. Very quiet today - had the place to myself.
Very prickly here, but found the cache after checking a few spots.
Thanks,

Out and about with geofriends picking up a few caches. Another neat hide here and a nice quick find.

Staying in Canberra (from Brisbane) for a week of Mega celebrations. Enjoying the crisp mornings and beautiful days, caching whenever we can.
Unloved since August last year - and the cache is showing it. Water inside saturating the swag, but the log book in its zip bag is nice and dry. Dried as much as possible after removing damaged swag.
Log signed and replaced on April 15, 2019 at 3:49 PM. TFTC, Sol de lune.

Had spent the morning walking around Tuggeranong Hill and with a bit of extra time came across to see about finding the few over this side. Parked down below and didn't take too long to walk up, although may have taken a too direct route and spent a bit of time weaving around the prickly bushes along the way. At GZ just couldn't quite locate the exact spot but once I had got myself to the right side of where I should have been spotted ok. Thanks for the cache Sol de lune, took the time once there to enjoy the views.

Its been a while since the Ridgeo-Pup and I climbed a decent hill. We stopped for this one (and another) before climbing the proper hill. I searched for a while slightly up hill from where I eventually found it. Oh, and look, someone's signed it today. This always makes me quickly look left and right in case they are still in the vicinity. I do love those mountains, they look very beautiful from here.
Thanks for the cache Sol de lune.

#7580 - 12:05; I got a call a few days ago from Mr Damage who correctly pointed out that it had been some time since we undertook a caching mission together. We named a date and decided to head southside to collect a few caches around Mt Tuggeranong. After grabbing a coffee and something to eat at the Lanyon Maccas, we headed off. Parked the geomobiles over the road from the Emergency Services building and headed off. We were well on our way back to the start of our circuit and after collecting another of the CO's caches as we passed, made it to this one. Spotted it from a way off as it wasn't well covered. Signed the log, hid the cache a bit better and we were off on the final leg of today's tour de Mt Tuggeranong. TFTC Sol de Lune
Found 12:03 pm with LuckyL10n. We decided to get together and do a bit of caching an opportunity as I am between major work assignments. After five earlier caches we continued onto GZ for this one, the terrain hasn't been too bad. After arriving we had a bit of scout around and then located the cache which was quite noticeable when seen from the right location. After signing the log and a couple of photos, the cache was hidden with a bit better coverage.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
A short and steepish climb brought me to GZ where I was able to enjoy the view while signing the log. TFTC SdL
Well that was a lovely lung buster. Parked at recommended spot, walked along to the left until I got to the gate. It is padlocked, but easy enough to walk through the fence. Then... up the hill! Nice views from every spot up here, thanks for bringing me here. Cache found at the coords in good condition. Tftc!!!
I've a feeling the undergrowth may have growthed a bit round here (or I didn't come in the easiest way!). Nice spot to end a cold afternoon around the hills of southern canberra
Sunday 2 October 2016 - a beautiful warm sunny Spring afternoon in the low twenties and hardly a breeze AND enjoyed the most recent snow falls over Mt Ginini & Gingera in the distance. Rode push bike part way and walked approx 6km for two solid hours over a four hour period to find just 8 from 10 caches. Sadly this included NOT finding'Tuggeranong Tops' despite a long steep climb to the top. Thx p2p. TFTC Sol de lune

Yet another trip down to Tuggeranong this Sunday, this being the area of my focus currently. Today was around Tuggeranong Hill. It was a long day with plenty of hills covering about 15Km on foot. Unsurprisingly, I'm a bit footsore tonight. I parked in Theodore and headed off armed with lunch and an ambitious plan. The weather was good, perhaps a little on the cool side with Spring less than a week away.
No shortage of views up on this hill.

Out for a walk with Skip the geohound, and a few caching friends and their dog. Lots of those wickedly spiky bushes near here and I had to brush past one to retrieve the cache. Ouch! Once the log was signed, one of my friends returned the cache to it's hidey hole. Then it was back down the hill for the short walk back to the car. TFTC SDL
My third find for the afternoon. Took a few minutes to find as my GPSr was leading me slightly astray, but find it I did. The name on the box certainly fits - lovely views out over the Lanyon Valley, but with darkness falling I'm not going to linger long before heading back to the geo-ute which is parked somewhere nearby... Oops, rooky mistake - not setting a waypoint at your starting point... Thanks, Sol de lune!
We set out this morning, expecting to spend a large part of the day finding all the caches in the area. But we only got about 3 hours in when Saf's knees gave way, and we had to head home. We've still got more than half to find, so we'll be back soon.
Some great views and a nice place to stop and give the woofer some water before heading to the next one.

Came up from purple monkey dishwasher cache just after sunset. The straight line from there to this cache takes you through lots and lots of scrub.
Found the clearing and then found the cache. Then enjoyed the sensational view of Lanyon Valley from there.
Thanks for bringing me here Sol de Lune!
Cheers

The views were great. But I'll remember this more for the bushes and their thorns. Ouch.

With nothing better to do on a hot, sunny afternoon I headed to the south side. My goals were to fill in the suburb gaps for the Canberra Mapping Challenge, find the rest of the Neighbourly Neighbours series and get some exercise. This was an extra on my way back to the car. Quickly found. TFTC and views.

Near the end of my day's journey, and somehow manhandling my bike down this scrubby slope, I came upon this one. It was a few meters away from my GPS' calculation of ground zero, but that could just have been my machine playing up...
The view is indeed worth the visit. TFTC.

Fifth morning walk around my new home area, this time NE onto Tuggeranong Hill. Tend to agree with comments on 05Oct 15. TTC.
A wonderful afternoon of geocaching in the heat around Tuggeranong Hill and later behind Bonython.
This one was more than a little bit easier than my last Just for the Views beside the Corin Road. Only a little huffing and puffing for this one, plus a little lost blood from the vicious thorny bushes around GZ (they can largely be avoided, but this might be a good one to keep the geokiddies away from at the moment). Found easily enough with my GPSr showing I was seven metres away, having spent a bit of time at the indicated GZ, which also happened to match the hint. Still, nicely satisfying and lovely views. TN L an attractive green dinosaur (quite vibrantly coloured this one) TFTC!!

Another one done. Yay! I found this as part of a daily streak I am working on - 3 months now. The first month wasn't so bad, the 2nd month got harder, the 3rd I settled into a routine, but now it's getting more challenging to make sure I don't miss a day especially when I'm travelling for work.
I love the challenge of the geocache cache hunt - read the notes, decipher the cache requirements, and go searching for the hide. This is an amazing world wide game of hide and seek. I love it!
Thanks go to Sol de lune for placing this cache and maintaining it. It's a great contribution to the Geocaching community and much appreciated. I enjoyed finding this one with 5yo geokid. This cache was another "Found it" for me. TFTC! Cheers. [Blue]Jump Pilot[/Blue]

Spectacular views. Should come up here on sunset. Must trudge on thru more prickly bushes to next one. Nicely placed cache. J.V.
Lovely cool morning for a walk and terrific view after checking out the new DE cache nearby. TFTC SDL
Our first time geocaching and we've had the most wonderful afternoon. Thank you so much.
Found at 1830 on a warm afternoon. I sat, signed the logbook and watched the sun set over the mountains. Great little spot you have found Sol de lune.
After attending the event today I was in a bit of a caching mood. Headed down this way to pick up some details from a multi, then parked at the listed parking and walked to this one.
Great walk and view, Tftc sol de lune

Found at 1805. I was closing in on P366 (only 5 more holes in the calendar, all this week or next) and decided a stroll up Mt Tuggeranong was on the cards - besides, this one was still loaded in my phone from yesterday!
I staggered my way up the hill dodging pricke-bushes until the GPSr told me I was close, then hunted around a nearby feature. With no cache revealing itself, I extended my search and soon spotted the camo, still within the +- accuracy of the satellites.
The area may have been clear in 2011, but today I had to negotiate even more prickle-bushes to retrieve the container - I briefly considered propping a particularly intrusive branch back but eventually just shed the backpack and crawled under. As I uncovered the cache there was a flash of movement as a guardian lizard made a break for freedom. I spend a couple of minutes trying to snap a photo but it was a little too skittish, so I signed the log and tucked the cache in snugly, then stood up to leave - damn it, I forgot about the overhead prickle-bush branch! [xx(]
I picked up my bag, and discovered where the cache-guardian had been hiding - luckily it hadn't decided to shelter inside! This time I managed to snap a shot, but then got concerned that it hadn't tried to escape - had I leaned on the bag and accidentally sent it to the great warming-rock in the sky? - so I gave it a gentle poke, and it took off. Phew!
Everything was in good order - thanks for the cache Sol.

First of ten for a half day walk up, over and around Mt Tuggeranong. This was the first time I think I'd ever been in the area, so it was good to see things from a different perspective
Started at the listed parking spot, and the ton of burnout marks. Maybe the house owners will set up a trap and catch the bogans at it We headed off up the hill for a quick find. TFTC

how on earth was this one not logged o.O i have a terrible memory
i loved the views, local school band playing as well and echoing though the hills. There seems to be incredibly pale coated roos about the cache, a few more years of breeding and surely we'll have an albino on these hills. tftc!

Spent the day geocaching around Theodore and Tuggeranong Hill Nature Reserve. Visited 21 caches plus several waypoints on multis, collected 4 trackables, walked 15.2 kilometres and ascended 581 metres. Some really good caches amongst these.
Spent ten minutes at the GZ given by my GPS. There was a log and rocks here that I searched and searched. Gave up and headed off, found the correct spot about 6 metres down the hill.

A brisk and enjoyable ascent to GZ. I sat admiring the views for a while before signing the log.
Spotted a golf ball near GZ: not typical golfing terrain, but it takes all types I suppose.

Third for the morning, and a little bit of bush bashing as we approached from the Conder side of the hill. Nice view from the top, TFTC.

Another weekend walk with family and a a small side trip to grab the cache.
Started our walk from the suggested CP and more or less made a bee-line to the GZ coords where ok for me +/-5m is about normal and easy to find, was a bit exposed but re-hid a bit better , another great location, thanks
now some more up hill for me off to the summit via the other cache nearby.

Another tough one to find in the early morning, in this case because the coords are about 15m out. It's lower on the hill than I was searching. Once in the right spot it was easy. Nice views, though they are better further up the hill. Took Sydney Badge, left girls watch. Thanks.
