Fav from us. QEF and clever construction makes retrieval clean and dry. NINO TFTC
#15,183. Enjoyed the short walk in Arapuni. The GZ was fortunately all quiet at the time of our visit. Found after a short search. Good hide. The cache was in good condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.Favorite point added for the hide.*Thanks for the geocache placement, and for bringing us to this site, and **.T h a n k s. .f o r. .t h e. .c a c h e.**.M a u r u u r u. .k o e. .n u i. .a t u. .h o k i. .t e. .k e t e r o k i.*---### LET US HAVE A BLOCK PARTY!!! ###On **May 3rd, 2025**, we will be celebrating 25 years of geocaching in **Rotorua, New Zealand** with a special **Block Party** event. Bit of a creative cache, took a little while and the hint to find. Mind the pheasant hiding in the paddock - scared the bejesus out of us
Thanks for your amazing cache. I really appreciate the time you took to set up and maintain your caches. Found with Fisha1288 Cheers, Cympull.
I was out exploring the area with matagouri, and despite the wet weather, we headed off for a short walk to GZ.The cleverly hidden cache was soon spotted. Thanks for putting this here
A humid, drizzly day in Arapuni with rattll. Parked at the coordinates given, then a short walk in the rain to GZ. Fortunately, rattll spotted the hide within seconds, and quickly extracted the log. All good, returned as found. Tftc!
Great cache!! Spent ages here and second guessed the location thinking it couldn't be it.
Found it!! Can't believe i couldn't see this last time best i open my eyes better.
A great spot on a lovely walkway. Out with parents enjoying the area. A fun cache thank you cashkids.
Oops missed this, I somehow had the wrong clue so was looking for the wrong thing. Next time
Whilst in the area with ABCDF4 would be rude not to do this one, Thanks for the placement
cashkids, nice wee walk.

Nice wee hide Thanks

Passing near Arapuni today so I took the opportunity to pick up a few caches. We walked from the road to this cache which is a cool little one. TFTC
Continuing my walk along here this afternoon and made a point to venture as far as the cache here. A very cool hide, left a new piece of log paper, TFTC
A nice little find but couldn't sign the log as although it was once wet and is dry now: it does need replacing. Put our sticker on inside of lid. TFTC
Found this geocache today. Covered in ants and ball of wet paper inside so couldn’t sign. Have let owner know. Apart from that good hide, great fun and geocachers all the way from England
On our last leg of our ride from Arapuni to Pokaiwhenua bridge carpark. Great camo. TFTC
A nice wander, and a nice quick find. Very hot today so a good spot to stop. TFTC!
Paper very wet and full. Enjoying the cycling trail while staying at little Waipa
No bikes with us today so a nice walk along the track to GZ ...cool container signed and replaced as found ...thanks cashkids all good here
Just walking and kayaking today. A small detour out to find this. Just as well I had downloaded the information earlier as no coverage at gz. Good camo here. Thanks for the placement cashkids
Staying nearby on Lake Karapiro. Last night we ventured out on the kayaks to see the glow worms. Today we are out exploring the area planning on visiting Sanctuary Mountain. As plans go it is pretty loose as we never actually made it to the mountain.
After collecting the Arapuni Power Station cache nearby we made the short walk to gz and found this cache at its posted co-ordinates. Quick find, all good. TFTC

Found as a part of a previous group TanjackMüley, aka WanderingSparrow. Now I'm continuing on my own. TFTC
Smart and good camo! Quickly found while trying to do a few in the area. Tftc!
Today was an early start. Davidson Clan and I had a big plan to clear between Piarere and Arapuni which would involve the mountain bikes, kayaks, and a little leg work too. We found this one quite quickly due to a straight forward hide and a good hint. Cheers cashkids, TFTC
Quick find here today with Philip.Perry we are on a mission to the Waikato with our bikes and Kayaks should be a fun day .

Hmm we think we could see where it may have been but no luck for us... hopefully not muggled
Was in the area visiting a friend of Mrs 2wombles so of course cache hunting was on the agenda. No problems locating this cache today. Thanks for the cache.

The last day today of a 12 day, 3000 km road trip around the North Island with the primary objectives being the Taupo Ultra Marathon on the 13th and my first ever caching Mega event in Wellington on the weekend of 20th & 21st. With thousands of possibilities for caches to look for on the way, I had to be very selective and decided to concentrate on special types, solved puzzles, ones that would fill missing spots in my statistics grids and those with good numbers of favourite points, plus maybe a few extras that were close by those.
Today we were leaving Rotorua and heading north for home. Incredibly, it was another nice day again today and still no sign of any rain to interfere with caching activities. A really amazing streak of weather.
After doing the power one nearby that would fill a spot in my Jasmer grid, I thought I should at least look for one more with good FPs nearby. Parked up and jogged down the trail past some lazy bovine muggles. Once near GZ, the geo-senses kicked in and I soon had the cache in hand. Signed the log and then replaced back safe and secure as found. TFTC

Found while heading south. Looked at several places where I expected it to be and then third spot had the cache in hand. TFTC
The trickiest bit was trying to find somewhere to park to get onto the trail. Nice camouflage. TFTC.
We are camped in Arapuni for the weekend. Up to a chilly morning and after a yummy coffee at a nearby cafe had thawed enough to get on the bike. WOW what an absolute stunner of a day. Autumn at its best! Many many thanks for bringing me here to to this magical location, after the easy hint, made the find, fantastic camo!! all good here. Cheers
A clever hide indeed, and great to see alot of people out using the track, even this time of year. TFTC
Well that was a clever wee hide! We really enjoyed our walk along the trail today and met some friendly bikers going about their adventures. Found the cache easily as we've seen something like this before. TFTC
Quick find, nice container, next time I'm staying down here will bring some bikes.Tftc.
Mrs beconaze checked GZ and reported nothing to be seen so in I came to look over the fence(even thought the cache says not needed). Mr beconaze checked again and there it was. Bad Mrs beconaze!
Nice spot for a walk think we will do the suspension bridge near the power station as we found near this location.
Yesterday out for a bike ride on the trail. Been a nice ride. On our way back decided to pick up some cache. Didn't take long to spot the well camo cache. Cool hide. Tftc
It was a lovely day out today, decided to come collect the caches around arapuni as they had been sitting there as an oasis of green and orange dots.
Got the one 1/2 way down the trail and nabbed this on the way back. I want to duplicate this type of cache container... maybe up in the hunuas....

2nd find of the day. Found with livee_nz, who found it quickly. Put in a new piece of paper as old piece was quite torn. Nice hide. TFTC
out for a wander with georunnermatt, we found this cache. We added a new piece of paper as log was disintegrating. Tftc
Auckland Anniversay weekend and we are spending it in... Arapuni! Yup, we avoid the beach in summer and long weekends! We arrived at our accomodation mid-afternoon and have a glow worm kayak tour booked for this evening so we have a bit of time to spare... So we walk the short loop track over the bridge and the dam to keep busy. This cache is not on the loop but near it, so we detour this way to see what it looked like. I had guessed right and was glad to prove to sveppi. Logbook is a crumpled-up piece of paper and quite hard to get out of the cache. Tried to put back in a better way. TFTC
Hot afternoon but we are enjoying our walk around this area. Interesting hide though the log book is a bit squished. TFTC
the weather deteriorated while we retrieved this cache, so we got rather wet, but it was worth it - a clever little cache, thanks cashkids
The weather was not very friendly, but we got there- and it was worth it- loved the cache- will give it a fav. tftc
Great hide! Required a slightly more athletic figure than mine to extract the cache elegantly. Never mind, I did have tweezers with me! Nice views too. TFTC
Out geocaching with Nahkins again today. Started out with a heavy frost and then the fog rolled in. I had 8 listed and Nahkins had 13. We were doing the Arapuni area. The fog had cleared by the time we started. #2 . This was a quick retrieve. I found it quite easily. Hardest part was getting the log out. Nahkins had her tweezers. She was bum in the air and I was talking to a fantail when the same muggle from previous cache was returning on his bike. I just said we were alright and once he had gone we cracked up laughing. SL and put back. Log a bit damp. TFTC.
Out geocaching with NZPatoto. She was driving today. I was doing a catch up as NZPatoto had already completed some. I had 13 on my list. #6. Joined in the hunt by NZPatoto. Found by NZPatoto, but I had to extract with my tweezers. TFTC
Out with LimmyB. and Cam_777 for a days caching in the South Waikato. This was the first for the day. Nice easy find, the hint made it easy dispite us having no internet coverage for co-ords.
A day caching in South Waikato with camlia and cam_777. Nice and easy, good clue. Hardest part was getting the car parked in a safe place, which was found a bit further down the road.
Out caching today with LimmyB. and camlia in South Waikato. Easy find, some interesting fungi nearby, thought it was something else that was really revolting but then saw more as our day went on and we realised what it was. Cool cache container. TFTC
First time on this cycle track for me actually riding have walked part of it before A good hint made for a quick find. SL TFTC and I enjoyed the ride
A beautiful day to be out on the trails, first time out on the cycle trail. Loved it. TFTC
