As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
i replaced the nano a while back after the first did not find but it has since gone again. not to sure whats going on so i am going to disable this for a while remove the cache from the area. will replace sometime soonish in a new but nearby area.
We looked during 10min but didn't found anything in the wire tensioners. Anyway, nice lookout on the lake.TFTC.
We thought we found the cache holder too but there was nothing there. Is it missing? We were working on the block of land nearby and were chuffed when we realised we had a cache so close but .... no cache.
Got a message from the cache owner advising we had found the cache holder... and to log it as a find!

Found what we are pretty sure should have been holding the nano, but think its gone (photo attached). Our last day down south, so we won't be back to pick this one up

Completely misjudged the location of this one from the GC maps. So I had a nice driving around at first (just with the GPSr compass), and second still a nice walk along the lake of 2km return. Interesting and TFTC, Wei
Seen these before but never with as guidance from the hint. Great location, Te Anua certainly is growing. TFTC

Our last walk in Te Anau before heading back up north. It was a pleasant morning. Very clever cache container.
A pleasant walk this morning. Strange to have a container this size so far away from muggle-ville. Cleverly disguised but took us nearly as long to get the log out as it did to walk here.
A weekend in Te Anau had to chase the cache. My fingers wouldn't allow me to write in the cache log. Did enjoy trying to find this one.

Very nice cache to find!
We've spent at least 20 minutes scratching our heads and pulling every string with no result. But looking at things differently helps sometimes =)
And we've got a nice bonus on our way back - a free sight of Te Anau Rodeo!

My last cache of the day after a trip to milford ..... and I managed to forget to bring a pen with me to the cache!
So I took a pic of the cache as proof!

#716: Low Tension
Took the nice walk part way to this one from a nearby multi, but the GeoYounglings got too tired (and wind blown) to continue, so we ended up walking back to the car to drive to this one. The compromises we make to cache sometimes.
We all searched GZ for any likely nooks, and finally came up with the winning location. All in goos shape, and the wee ones spent some time collecting some of the local flora.

Nice long walk from DoC Centre along the lake - from the west. An ingenious spot in an attractive spot - great views.

Nice walk along track round lake. Easy find. Had found one similar to this a week ago.
No tension here, actually a very quick find, Arriving back in Te Anau and there was still a bit of daylight left so we decided to attempt one more cache before calling it a day. Saw this cache and parked in the new subdivision and managed to walk to GZ cross country. Arrived at GZ and found the sneaky hiding spot within a few seconds, was able to remove the cache without too much effort and signed and replaced quickly. This really looks like a nice walkway and look like it is worth exploring a bit more. Will come back in the future to take another look, thanks for bringing us to this interesting spot, TFTC TNLNSL (2924)
