Logs
Have decided to archive this cache as the tree is not what it used to be and seems to be shedding large slabs every so often.
Beautiful tree! V/fun cache. Someone needs to bring a proper log and please make sure to seal the bag so everyone can enjoy. TFTC!
Got to GZ no probs, but no luck spotting it. Was getting late and there were lots of mozzies. Another one to review the logs for tips, and to revisit another day (this time with mosquito repellant.)
[Red]I followed this one today and got to GZ but couldn't find the cache container due to the amount of the tree that had fallen around the area. After falling on my backside I gave up! Perhaps I should have stayed in bed rather than searching for caches at 0630
Thanks anyway Banana Busters.[/Red]

No luck finding this one. Looked around ground with lifting everything up. Need more practice finding the tougher ones
Gotcha !!! What a giant. Pity so much of it is on the ground. A favourite from me . Visited TBs and GCs. TFTC
This turned out to be a real expedition. I had planned on grabbing a few caches after work and the road out of town led me up towards the lookout.
Oh, there's a multi nearby. I just quickly knock this one over before heading up to the lookout.
Grabbed the information at wp1 and did the maths and headed to wp2. Headed off into the bush following the Creek trail to the coords and guess what, no structure. Seems I made a stupid mistake with the maths and I was only 10 metres from wp2 when I set off into the scrub.
After seeing the errors of my ways I retrieved the info to get to the final.
I had read a previous log detailing that the cache wasn't to far from the massive tree so that's where I concentrated my efforts.
After about 30 minutes and almost ready to give up I found the cache.
Signed the card and returned it to its well hidden location.
An excellent cache
Thanks

It's always good to convert a DNF On my last attempt, I searched certain areas. Being the methodical creature I am, I searched a different section this time and hey presto! found the cache in about 15 minutes.
Like a few people have mentioned, it's fairly close to the tree. Some of the other clues will help a little too.
There was no logbook, so I signed the back of a calling card left by Snap Happy. The card will probably fit 8 or 10 more signatures on it, so will serve as a temporary logbook. It was a bit damp, so I donated a ziplock bag to keep it dry. The bag is large enough to store a decent-size logbook if someone is willing to bring one with them.

Checked on the cache today-it is still in place although it was very wet so needed drying out. Have increased the difficulty rating slightly, but it really is not a hard find except the trees play havoc with GPS's. You do not need to venture too far off the beaten track.

I already knew where the Vincent Tree was, but I still went to WP2 to get the "dedication date" hoping that specific coords would help me narrow down my cache search at WP3. Basically, they didn't :-/
My GPS was pointing and settling every which way - north of the tree, south of the tree, right up the bank (like 12 metres) and even across to the other side of the road. So I ditched the GPS and gave thought instead to certain details (like the terrain being rated just 1.5, so surely that meant a cache near the road and not involving a scramble over all that bark and other deadfall?). Also clues from the logs, like someone saying it was fairly close to the tree, and to "look down low".
I searched for 1.5 hours, around the tree itself and then along the roadside, about 10m to the north and 6m to the south. The area looks very tidy and trampled after my efforts (!) but still no cache.
Will have to try again soon.

Way too many leeches and mozzies for me to even consider staying longer to find this one. Many slippery bits after big rains makes ground uneasy here too. Princessy- I know but that's luckily outweighed by Lettrius' love for me.
Wow this tree would have been magnificent in its time before it all had collapsed. We didn't hold out much hope of finding the cache with so many of the tree now on the ground. You just have to be in the right angle to see the cache. Nice find T- Rex2NSW. Thankyou for bringing us to this area. TFTC.
Almost gave up this one when geo hubby found it looking low. TFTC Also - 2 leeches today. One on geo hubby and one on geo wifey. Our geo friend had never seen a leech before so learning experience for her

I started this cache chase yesterday morning and found the first bit of info
But I was headed the wrong way to find waypoint two.
This morning I was back in the area and headed for where I had calculated WP2 to be
I parked the geomobile at a nearby picinic area and set off along the road to find that my GPS was pointing up a steep roadside embankment and 30 meters into the jungle [:o]
Back at the picinic table I recalculated where the waypoint lay and found that I had parked on top of it [:o]
More puzzlement ensued
I couldn't find any monuments, plaques, or anything that might have been dedicated [:o]
So I retreated back to the picinic table with a fizzy 'thinking cola'.
In desperation I wandered back to the only structure with writing on it.
Oh
With a set of coords to hand I wandered off down the nearby walking trail to find the cache
I guess I didn't read the cache logs closely enough and after a really enjoyable 20 minute stroll along The Creek Trail, I could get nowhere near my calculated GZ.
So back to the geomobile to try again
A closer inspection of the fine print of the cache notes revealed the problem.
"That be a '6' and not a 'B'
They look so similar on the 'dumb phone' screen
With my corrected coords I wandered along the road for a few hundred metres and found meself at a suitable place to find the cache .... at last
Easy find when in the right place !!
Alas the once grand structure at GZ has succumbed to the ravages of nature.
What is left is still impressive though
TFTC and fun and games BB's !!

A beautiful day to be out & about around the area for 'Cache A Day' - August... Love exploring this fantastic country and always love visiting new area's... Yet another spot I would not of found if it was not for caching...
A bit of a search, made the grab, signed log & replaced...
Took: Nothing Left: Nothing...
Thanks BB for bringing me here...
*Cache Condition ~ Fine

We arrived at GZ and thought "OMG, how do we go about searching for this one?". The Vincent tree has at some stage partly collapsed, and we did not know if it was before or after the cache was most recently found and re-hidden. The GPS was jumping around a bit under the canopy but it got me to within a few meters of where we eventually found the cache, after climbing over, around and under the fallen branches and logs. Cache has obviously been hidden following this latest tree fall, and is hidden very cleverly. Persistence is the key to this one, and keep a very close eye on your feet. Signed log, left a penny. TFTC.
Found after a little check up by CO, enjoyed the multi, TFTC and your prompt attention Banana Busters!!
Dropped by to check the cache. It is still in place although the recent storms had added some extra layers of camouflage so have shifted it slightly to make it easily accessible.
Got to GZ but there has been all sorts of disasters through here including trees down & grading and with poor GPS reception I gave up, could need a little check please?
I had to PAF for this one, as despite working on the coords a number of times, my final target was consistently different to the actual location of the cache. Even my PAF said the coords did not work for him and he ended up finding the cache after widening his search area until he finally found it! The tree cover doesn't help with the GPS either. Quite a good hiding spot - very impressed and I made sure I secured the cache as I had found it. TFTC TNLN SL
What a great coincidence running into Banana Buster while he was doing a maintenance check at GZ. I am glad he turned up as I was heading into the scrub when he arrived advising me the cache was not up there. Great hide and fun search to get to GZ. Thanks Mr Buster.
After gathering the WP data for this one over the previous few weeks, I was ready to make the final assault today. It is a wonder how this magnificent specimen escaped the axes of the earlier timber cutters. Thanks Banana Busters for leading me to this great spot. Picked up the TB.
Had previously been up here in the dark. That didn't work!! Decided to stop and try again on my way past on the Ducati. Quick find this time. LNTN. TFTC
2nd time looking, first time unsuccessful in the dark. TFTC. Found in the company of Rusty Dutchman and The Pheebster.
Wow, what a top spot. I found myself on the side of the hill, way, way away from the tree. I parked the car just past it and my GZ was up on the side of the hill. I called to the car for reinforcements and then within seconds, geowife asked what the hell was I doing all the way up there? Of coarse it would have to be close by the tree, and sure enough. 'bout time she says.
Thanks for the adventure. Took the tb to move it on.
Cheers from Browngang

Stopped by to introduce arthROOs to Vincents Grandeur, a remarkable Eucalyptus grandis in a beautiful spot, the Bruxner Park Flora Reserve. Should love it.
Went for a run uup to See-ly Coffs cache and as I had to pass WP1 of this multi I thought I may as well have a look for this one while i was up here. Glad I did as it meant I found some lovely bush tracks to run on. Magnificent tree too. TFTC
Found GZ after completing WP1 and WP2. One Smelly stayed in the car for this one - which turned out to be a wise choice - as when she was watching the other Smelly crouched down at the tree ready to retrieve the cache it was she who noticed the millions of little leeches making their way to the other Smelly's thonged feet ready to have a go.
Now the Smelly's are not usually afraid of much, but coming from an area where leeches are not usually present, they do freak us out a little bit. So the signing was abandoned and a quick retreat was made. We took many photos though which we will soon post to prove our visit to GZ.
It is a lovely area - probably best visited by us in more warmer, less rainy weather.

thanks 4 the cache TN left some soft plastic toys lid is abit leaky dried it out put it in a plastic bag
Stopped at WP1 on our way up to See-ly Coffs and continued on to WP2 on our way back down. From WP2 we walked on to find the cache. The massive strangler figs in the area are hauntingly beautiful. Once there we made a quick find. TFTC!
Having been to the turnoff at Waypoint 1 before we knew where we were heading. We noticed that the lookout is closed for redevelopment at the moment. Hmmm! Anyway, we got the information we needed and headed for Waypoint 2. Found it no trouble and got the information needed for GZ. What a fantastic drive it is through here. Beautiful! At GZ we spent a few moments admiring Vincent's Grandeur and then found ourselves a cache. All was well with it, except there is no trackable within. Thanks for bringing us along here Banana Busters. A great drive that we continued on to Central Bucca and then back to where we are staying.

Liked this multi-cache. Great way to boast Coffs Harbour's awesome rainforests. SL TNLN
TFTC big tree! No trackable found. Left crab, took banana, heading back to Nth QLD
Found this one, signed the log but forgot to post on here. Beautiful place..walk thru bush beside stream was just magic, found cache site on return journey by road...Thanks
I know this area very well, so I took a punt and went straight to where I thought WP2 would be located. It turned out to be correct. The tree cover was causing the signal to fluctuate so I had to use my geo-sense to find GZ. After a bit of a search the cache was in hand. I also discovered the geocoin.
A enjoyable afternoon, thanks very much.

Found at 5.10pm GAFF1. We just came from deep within the Orara State Forest looking for MAP'S LOVE for abseiling, so this forest looked very familiar to us. We spent way too much time in that Orara forest with no find, so it was pleasing to be able to find this cache within a few minutes as we were able to skip one of the stages and find the cache straight away.
Thanks Banana Busters - a lovely area.
