I am down under for the very first time. Visiting Australia has always been a dream of mine, and I cannot believe it has come true. Australia's nature and wildlife really captivated me. Over three weeks, I saw many wonderful beaches, sunsets, animals such as , and I found great geocaches. My tour guide was mostly geocaching, and through it, I discovered many beautiful places I wouldnt have seen without our great hobby. I mainly stayed in Brisbane but also visited other gorgeous places such as Noosa Heads and Springbrook. I spent a few days on the Gold Coast and Moreton Island, and I went to New South Wales to have visited a second state in Australia. During my stay, the winter and early spring in Queensland were very warm, the sun shone every single day, and I did not see a single drop of rain. My time down under was so beautiful and unforgettable. Australia is such a stunning country! Yesterday, I arrived in Brisbane and today I explored the city for the very first time. I really like this city and I discovered beautiful places. I also looked for many geocaches like this one. I tried to answer all the questions of this -cache and sent it to the CO. Very interesting and I learned a lot! Thank you for this geocache says Mr. J. Cacher from the other side of the world

In Brisbane City today, mostly doing adventure labs. However, as this was near where I was to be heading at one point, it got added to my hitlist. An interesting piece of art but from a geoscience perspective, the listing doesn't provide much in the way of learnings, nor is there much information at GZ, so a lot of my answers are based on my observations and, I'll admit it, guesswork ... but it was a thought provoking experience all the same and I guess that's what earthcaches are intended to provide. Thanks for creating this earthcache Ghostgums.

Wow what interesting art! TFTC

Brisbane Day 1: Since I have a long weekend back home, I suppose it would be nice to spend it somewhere where the weather isnt actively trying to turn you into a puddle - and spend a couple of days on a geocaching spree. So, the plan was made for a solo trip down to Brisbane for just that. The flight arrived nice and early today, and a short train trip to the city later, the day began in earnest. After a few caches as a warm-up, I dropped the luggage off at the hotel, and headed out for a second round - which included the clock tower tour. Once I could check, I had a short break to sleep off the jet lag, and I headed out to Fortitude Valley for dinner. It has been a very productive day indeed so thanks for all the caches in the city! This is the specific log for this cache:Interesting artwork here of a familiar rock and I like the detail in the ripples and all that. Quick enough analyses to be done here, especially for the geologically inclined. Thanks for highlighting this here and for the EC!

We enjoyed our wander around these blocks of granite today, thanks for showing us these.

Bisoutje and I are on a roadtrip between Cairns and Adelaide and have now touched ground at Brisbane. We spent our 2 day here just walking around, enjoying our exploration of the city. We encountered many places amd enjoyed the local cuisine. We were also lucky enough to be able to find a few Geocaches as well. This is a nice piece of art to discover. I wish I had more information to answer the questions properly. My guesses have been sent to the CO.TFTC!

Some nice lighting nearby further along from the cache this evening.

I greatly enjoy an earthcache in an urban setting. This one was easy to get to and answers have been sent to the CO. Thank you for the smiley and the fun!The day:I was visiting from the U.S. and had a goal of driving all the way up the east coast starting in Melbourne and ending in Port Douglas over a few weeks. This day was all about Brisbane. I had created a local plan that included walking and riding the ferry. I love ferry rides! The weather was cooperative, too. The day went well although I missed a few Adventure Lab stages. Many thanks to all the geocachers who placed and continue to maintain their geocaches for folks like me to find. I know it's not always easy, but I do appreciate you.

Greeting from beautiful British Columbia, Canada!!Off on another geocaching adventure with Alamogul, Karba1 and myself. We are starting in Australia and ending up in Tahiti caching along the way. Signed the log books with our names or initials Thanks to all of the COs for placing these caches for us to find and for adding to our fun day. This gets a favorite! I'm out caching on this beautiful day while visiting your country. I am visiting from Rhode Island and traveling with a group of cachers from USA and Canada. We will be traveling to Brisbane, Sydney, and embarking on an NCL cruise to the South Pacific. Logs will be signed with our names or group name to saveroom on logs. SPCA24. Thank you to the COs who hide and maintain these caches. Everything below this line is for Project-GC log numbers. ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** I will be attending any nearby events to meet up with local cachers. I will be targeting gadget caches, which are always a fun challenge. Older caches and Virtuals aren't to be missed. Solved puzzles that I've spent many snowy days working on. Earthcaches are always worth the lessons learned. Challenge caches are some of my favorites even if I don't qualify yet... something to work towards. Webcams before they all disappear. High favorites are always worth the fun. Adventure Labs point out things I would usually just drive by without the work a CO puts into them. New counties, whenever possible, for some of those challenges I've already signed. Let's not forget towns for MA351 whenever in the area. I'm always on the lookout for large sized containers and caches for my Fizzy and Jasmer grids. Logs will be stamped with our caching names or initials to save room on logs. I don't always stamp in order, I will fill in spaces if there are any on the log. If answers are required, one of us will send them when we get home. Thank you to all of the COs for the time and dedication of hiding and maintaining these Geocaches for everyone to find! ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** **Freedom by Olive RunnerGive me the long, straight road before me,A clear, cold day with a nipping air,Tall, bare trees to run on beside me,A heart that is light and free from care. Then let me go! Its been a while since we visited this site as I found the questions a little involved to answer quickly. Nevertheless I remember it well (and took plenty of photos) as the pieces were quite beautiful. So after a little effort my answers have finally been sent off and I hope they are satisfactory. Not usually a fan of sculptures as earthcaches, but this is a perfect example for one. And surprisingly I have seen a few of this artists works throughout SEQ. Nice job and TFTC.

Thank you very much for working out this educative Earthcache and for luring us to this interesting place which we otherwise probably wouldnt have visited !....../ ).....' /---' (_____.TFTC .

We were in the city to participate in a clock tower tour and then attend a monthly science lecture at the state library but we had some time spare between the two. And what better way to spend that time than caching. We headed up to this artwork and took time to have a good look at it as workers rushed by on their way home. I like the way the creators have made something solid give the appearance of liquidity. After taking some notes we made our way to Southbank perfectly on time. Answers have been sent to the CO. Thanks GhostGums

I was here a few days ago and did my best to answer the questions and sent them through to the CO. I wasnt sure of a couple of the questions but I havent heard back about it so Im going to log it as found. As it happens I am back in town today and I found a carpark right next to this public art.

I'd had a long day out of town with a fellow cacher, but came back in for an event. This was just up the road from the event, so I just had to get it. I had a bit of hesitation with a few answers, but hopefully enough to get the find.

Tftc GhostGums, very nice artwork. It reminded me of a piece I had seen before but couldn't remember where.
When looking at the artists other works online I realized the piece was in Chatswood in Sydney near where I used to work.
The "pool " on the top is very realistic.
A serene work of art.
Thanks for bringing us here

We flew into Brisbane yesterday and today we took the opportunity to do something we have not done in years….go for a walk around the CBD. A few caches and adlabs later we found ourselves here. A read of the plaque revealed very little information on the sculpture. We discussed our answers and took photos for later. Tried to email our answers but that was unsuccessful so answers were messaged to the CO. Hope they were OK. We quite liked the sculptures.

#11312 - Last cache of the day, before it is time to head back towards the hotel, via a step in a nearby multi. Actually the second attempt today to find these stones. This morning, my GPS sent me on a wild goose chase, and I realize now that I have actually visited the stones that I wasn't even close. Luckily, I managed better this afternoon. This was an unusual earthcache, in that most of the information needed to be researched (or did I miss an information sign on site??). Like previous loggers have already mentioned, the e-mail bounced, so a reply has been sent via a message to CO.
TFTF and greetings from Sweden!

In Brisbane on business for two weeks, and taking the opportunity to find some caches over the weekend. Today's weather was beautiful sunshine from a clear blue sky and a light breeze.

With my eye on a couple of challenges I’ve decided to spend the day in the city… which included walking from North Quay to Toowong, the Roma Street Parklands, through the Queen Street Mall and across to the State Library…

I like public art… it was good to stop and appreciate this work…

Like others, my email bounced, so have sent my answers by message…

Thanks Ghostgums for bringing this spot to my attention…

At a morning event chatting all things geocaching I wondered what I was going to do today. I then saw this one sitting not far away. A drive around and I got a park at the very first spot near to GZ. A walk around and I found what I was looking for and it is a little hard not to bump into them, I was looking for something a little less conspicuous.

This was a great earth cache and something a little different, interesting and amusing. I really enjoyed researching the answers for this one. With the information obtained and the questions answered, I took a couple of pics and then made it back to the car to sit and work out where to go to next.

Thanks for this great little earth cache it is something a little different and something I would not have seen if it was not for this cache.

Having visited friends in Queensland for an 18th birthday over the weekend, it was into Brisbane for a couple of days to pick up some caches around town before flying home.

As I was touring the CBD I stopped by this art installation at the top of the park. I was able to answer all but one question (not sure if there is some information missing at GZ), but my google research also didn’t reveal the rocks original location).

I tried submitting the information via email as requested however as others have noted the email fails. Answers submitted via GC HQ message system instead.

Thanks GhostGums for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to find.

No answer from Ghost Gums, so I fear they are indisposed or have an overly full in-box. I'm posting the photo of my visit before it gets lost. The CO insists on a reply before posting, but it would be a pity if this interesting earthcache was lost.

Was exploring the city on Monday with two friends (I was sort of third wheeling) and thought to explore the Roma Street Parklands which I had never seen and only heard of as its in an area of the city which I am greatly unfamiliar with. To my amazement, I realised that it was considerably better then the Botanical Gardens that I have visited frequently in recent years. Beautiful artwork as well.

Was very impressed with the artwork on display here, and during the research was pleased to discover other spots around with works by the same artist. We have seen one of these and will be on the lookout next time we are at that spot. I do remember looking for this years ago, but we were novices and would appear that we were on the wrong level. This is not always evident from a gps. We have sent the answers to the CO. Appreciate the earth cache and learnings that we made whilst researching. Thanks very much for bringing us here Ghostgums.

Dayboro QLD Mega - Day Four:

The fourth day of our mega road trip with buhfuhguh!

Another 12+ hour day of caching, one of the highlights was finding nine Earthcaches, I am sure that is a daily record for me! Just crazy! A whole bunch of challenges, wherigos, virtuals, letterbox's and Australia's most Eastern cache were also good to grab. A very long but eventful day!

We started in Casino, NSW at 7am and finished up in Bray Park, QLD at 10pm completely buggered! Thanks to all the CO's

This Cache:

The final cache of the night! Big Grin
By this point we were starving, and still had to drive further north to our accomodation. Couldn't resist one more Earthcache in the city though, whilst it was quiet and parking was a breeze. Interesting artwork here, we spent a while trying to answer the questions, but did the best we could and buhfuhguh sent them off to the CO.

Have added a photo to my log too, many thanks for the EC and bringing us here!

I ride my bike to work at my new working place STARS and after work I decided to ride to Roma street and find this cache. I have been here before waiting for a bus to take us to sandstone point but didn't get a chance to see this art work. I enjoyed seeing this art work and answered the questions as best as I could. Thankyou for taking me here and for placing this cache here for us to enjoy

I visited this artwork yesterday and sent answers to the CO then but haven’t had a reply so have decided to log this cache. I hope the answers are correct.
I really enjoyed visiting this installation as it is made of my favourite rock type and I didn’t know it was there. I looked up the artists and saw what wonderful pieces they have done.
Thanks GhostGums for this Earthcache. I really enjoyed seeing it and finding out more about this rock type.

6/12/20 Find #4421

Today Fangsoki and I had a goal to chase down a few Earthcaches, and we decided a trip in to the city would help with that. It is usually an area I try to avoid, preferring the peace of the burbs or further away than the bustle of the city. However Roma Street Parklands are a bit of an exception, and today’s visit was fairly pleasant as we managed to make our way mostly in the shade and with few people around.
Having completed one Earthcache in the parklands, we got back in the car and drove around to this one, the heat of today being far too unbearable to enjoy a stroll around.
So with Fangsoki parked and waiting in the nicely air conditioned car (as he has been here for this one many moons ago), I made the mad dash down to GZ to check out the sculpture.
I have seen another similar work of art from this artist before, but while here I couldn’t recall where. However while sitting at home writing the answers to send, all of a sudden it came to me, very similar designs but on slightly different scales and considerably different installs.
Having inspected these, I decided I needed to make tracks as some guy was coming along tossing a stone in my direction as he came. Possibly completely harmless, but I didn’t really feel like hanging around to find out, so hightailed it back to Fangsoki in the awaiting cool car.
Thanks for the cache GhostGums.

Spent a morning completing the six Earthcaches currently in the greater city area. Three and a half hours well spent and over 10 kilometres on foot.
This park is a favourite escape of mine when working in the city and also a great place to play with the geokids in the green space and playgrounds.
I have entered the parklands via this entry many times, but by always avoiding the stairs have up til now missed this feature. Thank you very much for bringing it to both my and a greater attention.

Ooops oops oops

I was here some months ago and forgot to log the cache. Crisis averted, email sent to CO and we're off to the races again.

This was a fabulous walk with the older geokid - starting in Southbank and collecting labs and trads all the way to Roma St Parklands, and everything in between. Avenged a DNF on a particularly nasty micro near the waterfall, and then called it a day.

The sculptures here are pretty amazing. How they make it look like flowing water is truly incredible.

Thanks to the CO for a great earth science lesson.

Heading to SouthBank and passed this Earthcache on my journey. Not one to pass up another smiley for an EC I stopped to check it out. It had been raining which added to the appearance of the funky artwork. I took my time to examine the blocks and take a few photos.

No i czasem coś tam keszując. Droga wiodła lądem (autobusem, pociągiem, samochodem czy pieszo; nawet windą), powietrzem i - kawałek tylko - wodą.

Trasa:
Warta - Sieradz - Katowice - Kraków - Frankfurt nad Menem - Abu Dabi - Brisbane - Pacific
Pines - Port Macquaire - Coffs Harbour - Nimbin - Springbrook - Pacific Pines - Labrador
- Surfer's Paradise - Gold Coast - Collangata - Pacific Pines - Brisbane - Pacific Pines
- Byron Bay - Arrawarra - Newcastle - Caves Beach - Sydney - Kamay - Sydney - Wollongog -
Kiama - Jervis Bay - Huskisson - Sydney - Katoomba - Sydney - Abu Dabi - Frankfurt nad
Menem - Norymberga - Sieradz - Warta.

Keszowo:
4 kraje
28 skrytek (o ile dobrze policzyłem)

Do tego sporo wrażeń Smile

Skrytka nr 10
Bisbane nie urzekło - może odpowiadała za to licha pogoda? W szybkim spacerze pod górkę do wiatraka zahaczyłem także o Ziemioskrytkę Smile

BDZS - Bardzo Dziękuję Za Skrytkę

info Was sent, hopefully we covered all the bases.

Our adventure really started a couple of years ago with our cruise booking and the savings plan. This year we arrived Feb 6 and had three days to explore Sydney before cruising with Kteeeee and Mr. Kteeeeee, MissPeach13 and MrPeach13 and WRTagalong. signed CCC. We had a great trip with no cases of Co-vid19. We arrived back to Sydney Mid march. The others flew home. WRT and I continued on. We had some time in Brisbane and then cut our trip short as the virus was causing too many challenges and our Country called us home. We stayed quiet and flew out the 25th arriving to a ghost city in Vancouver.

These caches are only being logged now that I am hooked up to the computer and I can find the caches I missed logging. If I have made an error please let me know if something seems wrong as time has passed and my memory is not what it used to be.

Thank you to all the Aussies who set out these caches, maintained them and to the Aussies who offered us shelter and long term shelter if we could not get home. If I had to be stuck anywhere in the world I would choose Australia!

Apologies for the generic log.

In the way to my event this morning made the short stop here for this cache. An interesting piece of art work.

On a holiday to Queensland to meet up with my two younger brothers (JL Rockstar) for a holiday/caching trip, a 4 day adventure that started with some disasters but slowly got better throughout which ended on a high.
Travelling up to tin can bay and Gympie, our to Kilroy and south west out to Ipswich.
Overall a great trip away with a total of 79 finds excluding the almost 50 labs found.

Thanks for the cache and it’s placement
