Logs
Found on the same day this one was archived. Bummer! I wasn't too hopeful given the last couple of logs plus my own previous DNF, but I thought I'd give it a go while visiting La Trobe University's Bundoora campus for work (I work at the Bendigo campus). Wearing shorts on a hot day, I did get some caching wounds in the form of nasty scratches from the thorny plant life in the area, but it was well worth it when it ended in an unexpected success. The cache wasn't in the area that my GPS had led me to previously, but when I re-checked having made the find the coordinates were fine, so maybe the signal is a little jumpy in that area. The log book was soaked through so I added a new log sheet and placed it in a new zip-lock bag (since the old one was open at the base) , so future cachers had something to sign. Pity it's been archived as it probably had a little more life left, but I certainly understand since the cache was in an area which would certainly receive a lot of water and make maintenance difficult.
Seems to be out of action currently, and I no longer live in the area so can't frequently maintain it. If someone else wishes to take this over let me know.
Couldn't find this one today. Blackberries made it very difficult to look. Hunted for quite a while with jitterj.
Second try at this one and still a no go would love cache owner to confirm its where it should be.
Looked around for 20 minutes, but could not find. Nice little spot with lots of prickly bushes - very tricky
Found with bradman7777 but water had gotten into the box and couldn't sign the paper, will need replacing but great hiding spot
No luck with this one today. Thanks for bringing me to this beautiful spot though!
We found this cache today at 2:55pm as number 12 of 17 on our LaTrobe Lark. "HA" finally spotted this one as her fourth in a row. Thanks from D & HA B-A.
Quite a prickly area, I seemed to get stuck to everything. Geodogs loved it though. TFTC, although it is drenched
Last one before heading home to scrub geomutt down after her revolting roll in something gruesome earlier but crikes, had to work hard for it! Went round and round before perching on a rock and rethinking my approach, change of tactic soon turned it up ☺ and yes, the log is still very wet!
This was my second visit here and this one was successful thanks to the sharp eyes of my sister. TFTC.
My 2nd attempt, sometimes you just have to change your approach and try a little harder. Log was soaked so didn't sign, what a great spot on an autumn evening! TFTC!
Think this must have been washed in the lake. Log saturated so left temp log. TNLN TFTC.
Found 25/1/15 very quiet and nice spot. Log is soaking wet and needs replacing
Beautiful location and the rosellas above us were having a chat about as we could not find it.
Looked everywhere untill we found this little container empty with a few claiming not to find I wondered if this was what we were all looking for
Lots of great places to hide a cache but sadly none of them yielded anything for me, I had a pretty good search around the entire area but no luck. I'm wondering if some of the blackberry regrowth is obscuring the hide? Recent DNFs suggest it may have disappeared.
Fantastic, beautiful location and definitely not a waste of time coming here!

Have looked for this one before quite some time ago.
But today it was a quick find. Nice spot for a cache.

Zaphod did a run of the La Trobe area to reach 50 caches, concentrating on the simple caches near the sports grounds. Beautiful spot Tftc.

Nice trip. Took me a while to find it. I gave up and turned once more to enjoy the sunset and then I spotted it.
I went caching with my Parents, carkisser and JSando, but didnt log anything because caching didn't really appeal to me that much. Now I've started again, because I want to do it, so i thought I should catch up on my logs first.

A lovely stroll amongst the lakes with this gorgeous weather and my Partner In Crime Sando23468. A quick find log signed and replaced. TFTC
Met some students here who first discovered this quiet spot while geocaching - just shows the interesting spots we can get to pursuing caches
MasterIschi and Arthur and Dent went on another epic cache run. We collected 17 of 20 caches including a multi caches during our 20 km journey. We want to thank all cache owners: we had a great time out here.

Really loved the walk to get to this cache. As we arrived it was maybe 15 minutes until the sun was going down so it was awesome view across the lake. As for the cache, we made an easy find as the cache itself was sticking out of it's home a bit. We signed the log and tucked the cache away nicely.

Found the track in easy enough. At GZ the GPS was being a bit flaky so searched a wider area than necessary. In fact GPS was so bad that at first I thought I might have to swim to the cache! With the high water level of the lake I wandered a bit too close and got my feet unnecessarily wet in the process. Found the cache high and dry not far away.
What a beautiful spot. Had no idea this was like this. Just figured it was more man made looking, like the rest of the lakes through the university.
Thanks CenturySon for a great cache in a great location.

Wow. More of an effort than I thought. Though it was not helped that it was dusk.
You're right. It's really beautiful with the silhouettes of hundreds of ducks in the lake.

Good description of cache location. Thanks to the owner. Nice walk or ride through the park lands. Noisy suburban vehicular traffic still heard.

I have ridden and walked past this area before and finally decided to take advantage of the brilliant sunshiney morning on a public holiday to go and retrieve the cache. Very peaceful and beautiful area. I never explored here when I was a student here but now I'm living back in the area it's one of my favourite places to go for a walk.
Thanks for the lovely spot.

We struggled getting a park any where near the gz today and managed a park on a street not far from this parkland. A bit wet and slippery underfoot due to the recent rain but we still came up with the find this afternoon. Thanks CenturySon for the cache and showing us these lovely water ways.
Out exploring this area on foot with my 8 year old nephew. We almost gave up trying to access GZ from our previous find at Spiderman Cache. I jollied him along (aka bribed with food!) to eventually reach GZ where "we" made a quick find. Thanks CenturySon.
My aunty .K.B. is a cachaholic. She comes from Perth to visit me, O aged 8, and my sister E aged 6 a couple of times a year. Neither of my parents, K and R, take me caching so this is a real treat for me. My aunty and I walked along way enjoying a chat while we logged 10 finds today. This was one of them. I am very thankful that you hid this cache for us to find and even more pleased that I was able to make swaps from the swag my aunty brought with her. Thanks for the cache.
Gorgeous location. Left a blue monkey. Took the travel bug. Can't wait to find out where it wants to go!
Last cache on a trip to nz. Wanted to get one in aus today as I now have got 1 in 2 dif countires in a day. =)
Suscoe's 9th find of 16 for today as Suscoe headed around this area.
What a nice walk to GZ, the lake is somewhat drier than it may once have been.
Thanks to CenturySon for placing this cache. A delightful area.

Nicely tucked away. Cache in good order. Visited a Geocoin. Took nil, left nil.
Thank you for highlighting this area and for the cache CenturySon

A lovely day for a walk along Darebin Creek. After collecting Trailblazing we had planned to cross the creek and pick up this and others on this side, only the bridge is out! A handy set of rocks nearby provided an alternate dry crossing and it was just a short walk till we had found this prize. TFTC.
Last one before heading back to housesitting neary.
Enjoyed caching around this area for few hours.

Found by two guys (Happy Wanderer and myself), a girl (GeoLeoGirl) and, not a pizza place but three dogs (Becky the Blue Heeler, Lulu the Beagle and Toby the Terrier). Happy spotted it from about three metres away because it wasn't really hidden at all. Not sure if that was the way it was supposed to be or not.
Finally found this littke sucker! Beautiful location, we traded a little smurf friend for the yellow golf ball! TFTC
Took us to a very beautiful place. We searched, found where it should have been however I think someone has taken it away due to there being an empty hole under a shrub!
Found at 10:55
In the area for a few caches and took the nice walk around the lake for this one. I enjoyed the walk through this lovely hidden little spot. Got to gz and started searching with no luck. Stood back and thought about where it should be and it was.
Thanks CenturySon for the cache and for showing my this nice spot.

Took a little while to find but I sat down after looking for a little while and there it was "tucked away". TFTC!
A quick find and cache was still safe tucked away. Log is a bit wet. Thanks for bringing us here.

What an adventure! Flushed with success at finding our 100th this morning, we headed out with Aidy to add a few more. This is a lovely spot. GPS didn't seem right on but then settled and cache was spotted, but also a red-rumped parrot caught our attention. It seemed to be injured so we thought we should rescue it. After a few hops and flutters as we tried to corner it it decided it was over us and flew away! Then we spotted a ringtail possum just above head height - nature everywhere. We remembered the cache that was on my pocket, signed and replaced it. Thanks for bringing us to such a lovely cache, and thanks to previous finder for repairs.
Eeek! I don't know if I've stuffed this one up.
I searched for it using the co-ordinates on the free geocaching app. I hunted around for AGES in what i thought was the right spot. Finally gave up and was heading back to the car when I found it lying right beside the path. It had been opened and the log and pencil were beside the container which was filled with rainwater. So I packaged the whole thing up again and took it back to where my Iphone led me to in the first place. But I don't know the co-ordinates because the app doesn't say!
Sorry if I've stuffed this up for others, I'm only new at this and still finding my way....

Found this afternoon before the rain set in, we made our way from the other sides of the football ovals and around to this one. It was a bit slushy at times but made an eventual find. Cache and log is in good condition. Picked up TB. tftc.
Just on dark and the mossies were biting. Thankfully I had worked out the way in on my last visit. Arived at GZ and realised that even though I had overwritten my entry on the GPS the old co-ords were still there. Walked back out to get the ipad to copy the news ones onto the gPS and finally found the elusive container.
Nice area and glad to have this crossed off as I suspect the water level may attack the hide at some stage in the future.

Once I finally worked out how to get in I had no joy at all. Searched and decided that it had gone. Will watch the listing.
It shouldn't be a tricky find so could well be gone, I'll wander up there in the next few days.
Searched and searched and searched. Couldn't find anything. Fellow geocaches joined in and it looked like they failed too.
As we approached the area we could see another caching family searching.
But no luck with this one today. We searched for about 30 minutes after the others had given up and came to the conclusion that it must be gone?
It wasn't meant to be that difficult. Will keep an eye on it to see if anyone finds it in the future.
Nice spot for a cache though.

Cache was wet from the rain. I drained it and checked the log book- mostly dry. Didn't sign so as to allow it to dry. Sealed and Rehid cache.
