Find # 13073Following an epic weekend including a on the Colo yesterday, a few challenges and trails today before the group goes their separate ways to head home.Always energy for just one more - with Smittengranny, KittyKatch, Joolay, and a bunch of others and signing at CC24 (Canberra Cachers 24) to save space in the logbook. Fantastic view over the Colo and where we launched from yesterday. Awesome view Many thanks to bagoogle1 for placing PICTURE PERFECT - Colo Views for us all to enjoy. Your contribution to the game through the placement and maintenance of this cache over the years is appreciated.
Out caching with Brewmaker and Everest High in the Colo area. This was the last one on our list for the day. Talk about saving the best for last - this cache lived up to it's reputation. Great cache in a beautiful pot. This is what geocaching is all about. It made all the other caches we found today worth the effort. Thanks baggogle1. Gets a FP.
Found with minniek and the rest of Team CC24 (Canberra Canoeists 2024).Day 2 of our Colo River Region Caching Adventure. After an amazing days caching yesterday mainly on the river, it was time for some bushwalking for caches today. The main aim were the Challenges and Yin Yang series (or at least as many as we had solved). This area was our start point of the day. This 'bonus' cache was pretty awesome looking out over where we were yesterday. Nice quick find. Signed, returned, and we continued on our way to the next one. Thanks bagoogle1 !!
Found with a fun group of geofriends while in the area for a weekend geocaching adventure. Signed as Canberra Canoers 24 (CC24). TFTH
It is now Sunday and we (the group who had driven up from Canberra) allowed ourselves a bit of a sleep in after the kayak adventure on the Colo River yesterday. It wasn't much of a sleep in though as there are just so many caches up here to be found - some of the mysteries having already been solved at home. The day dawned sunny and very humid, which didn't bode well for some of the hilly walks. However we were blessed with 100% finds of the caches that we targeted. This was one of them and the logs were all signed as CC24 (Canberra Crew) to save space. Thanks to all the COs for placing and maintaining these caches. Especially this one as it is so aptly named.
Found on a day out this way, doing some of the Yin Yang series, challenge caches and whatever else came our way. OCW with 4Rods, EverestHigh and Its_Dozzie, we managed to survive the heat, the hills, the bush and deafening cicadas. A few goannas were spotted as well, and we enjoyed the scenery in the many places we visited. Now, this is one of the reasons why I love to go geocaching. We had an enjoyable walk along the trail, collecting the challenge caches. But this was the icing on the cake, with "picture perfect" views near GZ overlooking the Colo River, and the hide is exactly the type I enjoy finding. That little cave is just "perfect". Yes, the cliffs are steep around there, but near GZ, there are enough safe levels to step down to get the cache. We shared the trail with a horse rider, a goanna and a couple of trail bike riders. It was an ideal spot near GZ to rest and absorb the scenery. It is worthy of another FP. TFTC
#23044 @0945Day 2 of a weekend in the Hawkesbury. About 15 Canberra cachers (including kittykatch, joolay, contesta, MinnieK, Fitzy, search4, Aykayem, smittengranny, FurfacesLL, loci612, Nibletricecakes, Gliss, Aquilus1, sacada and I) started the day with the challenge series leading to this cache. We signed as CC24 (Canberra Canoeists 2024). Left TB. Great views. TFTC.
Stunning views and cam see where we started from yesterday to paddle. Today the Canberra crew that had gathered in the area for the colo River caches, met up this morning for group caching. We started the day walking a trail of challenges, before moving on to ying yang puzzles. Our group consisted of kittykatch, joolay, contesta, MinnieK, Fitzy, search4, Aykayem, smittengranny, FurfacesLL, loci, Nibletricecakes, Gliss, TikvaNZ, sacada and myself. We signed as CC24 (Canberra Canoeists 2024) as our group name to represent all cachers.A nice walk through the bush for the challenge caches. The cicadas were loud, oh so loud at times! But a good series and a stunning view out over the colo River we had paddled from the morning before from the trad at the end. With our walk complete, we convoyed from cache to cache mostly doing the ying yang puzzles solved. A ferry crossing saw the last cacher cross, but the ferry sat on the other side chatting to the one car returning and after a long time waiting we turned and went of caching our own way unable to cross. Later, we crossed elsewhere only to meet up with the group returning!!! A warm day and the walks become too much for me with hills, a great day (Weekend) though and time to return home. A great area to visit and cache, thanks for your cache!
This the best of all caches found all weekend. What a view, and a great container to boot. It was becoming very hot to day as we made our way out here following the trail of challenge caches. Took a little to find, as i kept getting lower and lower. Madrabbitoh had the view sorted, as i had it upside down. We were down there just yesterday, paddling the Colo. Fav from me. TFTC.
Spending some time caching around the NSW/ACT southern tablelands with lots of side trips. TFTC.Another day around the hills of Colo River collecting challenges, solved puzzles and traditionals.A great day out with the Canberra Crew signing as CC24. It was hot & exhausting with lots of bush walks over many hills. Wonderful scenery. A long convoy of cars carrying kayaks. Awesome. Many great puzzles that are well thought out. Many to still solve.
Great rest spot with awesome views down over the Colo River, where I spent most of yesterday kayaking. FP from me. TFTC bagoogle1
Found It!A nice morning walk out here after the event at the bottom of the hill. Found the cache after a short search. Great views from up here!TFTC
What an awesome cache from 2010. Good bushwalk, good container and great spot to visit. Fav. Tftc
A great day exploring the region with ESCR. We just selected caches and walks that looked interesting to get a feel for the area and ended up collecting a decent number. What a view from here! TFTC!
Spending a few days in the area for some hikes and a paddle down the Colo river. A beautiful part of the world. TFTFun!
Wow, breathless, so amazing view.
I could stay there for a whole.
I am so happy to find it and sign the log as EV. Thanks for the cache and hunt.

Found it with geofriends on a beautiful view, thank you to Everlasting for climbed down for us! TFTH
Beautiful view and brave everlasting climbed down to this tiny cave and found it. Thanks for bringing us here.
Out for a day of caching with Mighty Minions, lee737, Samuel737 and Oliver737. After running the gauntlet of challenge caches, of which I've so far qualified for four, we headed out for the scenic views at this one. Wow, what a view, although it's pretty sobering to see the extent of the flood damage around here. Hopefully it'll be a long time before there's a repeat of this year's calamitous weather.
After taking in the views from the main vantage point, we headed around to GZ where Team737 made the find in a great hidey-hole for the cache. It's also good to see an ammo can with a nice big logbook. Many thanks for the hide and for bringing me to this amazing spot. An FP is added.

A great day out caching with barefootjeff, Lee737, Samuel737 and Oliver 737 today. The weather was good and we didn't have any dnf's.
After finding the nearby challenge series we continued onto this cache. Wow the view is amazing , it is especially so after all the recent floods , A quick find at GZ. Thanks for the cache bagoogle1 tnln replaced as found sl Fav point for the awesome view and great walk

We were caching in the Colo/Sackville area today with Mighty Minions and barefootjeff, with a couple of good walks and interesting terrain and a handful of more roadside finds, we had a great day with perfect caching weather.
We had completed the nearby challenge trail a couple of years back, but it was pretty hot then and we had other places to be, so didn't get out here, so were glad to walk the trail again today for this cache. Perfect views, great cache in a great hide, what more could we want? TFTC!

Found today on a nice cache drive out this way with my brother, Dad, Mighty Minions and barefootjeff to get a few high-terrain caches and also some of the roadside yin-yang ones, had a nice time out here even though BFJ hurt his ankle at one of the first caches, we still had a really fun day around here!
After venturing out along the track we eventually arrived at the view, which was amazing I must add, and after a bit more walking and climbing down a short slope we arrived at the cache.

Under beautiful skies I made the most of my day off work to bag a plethora of caches in the Windsor / Colo area. It was one of those days where I drove past more caches than I found, but I went with specific mindset of finding caches that helped improve my D/T rating.
Thanks to all the CO's for your hides, I had a great day either in the bush or by the river.
This was exactly as the name suggests - picture perfect today

Today was a road trip around the Hawkesbury area. An ambitious list of caches to find as I set myself a target of reaching 10,000 finds by year end. Covid-19 lockdown put a spanner in the works and I now have only two months to find the remaining 200+ caches. So rather than interesting caches, I had to schedule a day in the car and go for quantity, rather than quality.
A great view and the perfect spot for a picnic. It is always nice to find a large ammo-can! TFTC.
This is 39 of 61 finds today. TFTC!

Getting out of the house for some exercise and decided to walk out to this cache and do a cache check for the CO after the recent backburning operations several weeks ago. Cache is nicely tucked away and in good condition.
Found with Sayers258 for her birthday. A great walk and an amazing view from the lookout. We had lunch then found the cache. Thanks for bringing us here it was an amazing day
Found this one yesterday with Brandonbeneke. It seemed to had survived the back burning.
Although we forgot a Pen. This was hands down my favourite Cache.
We decided to do this walk for my 25th Birthday although we were suppose to be in Cairns on the Great Barrier Reef yesterday. Inside the cache was some wonderful finds including a book on the Great Barrier Reef and a blank birthday card it seemed to be the perfect Birthday find.

Enjoyed a walk along the trail today with ilook4geo. This icon had been on our map for too long as an unfound cache. It was a pleasant walk and the find was good as well. The cache container and its were all in good condition. Two more names were added to the list of finders and we sat for a while simply to enjoy the view. It was very peaceful. Thanks go to bagoogle1 for placing this cache and for bringing us here to enjoy this view from the heights,
Found after going on a walk with goingplaces2. Really good views from here. All good with the cache and log was signed. TFTC.
Had planned a couple of walks today but it was getting very worm – so did this short 1 – still ended up very wet with sweet but it was all worth wile. I love these type of caches & the hide location – loved it. The view was great with the sound of motor bikes going up / down the hill – at times it sounded like being at the race track. A fave from me – many thanks TFTC / TFTH / SL
This is indeed a very special place, thanks for bringing me back. As soon as I was walking towards the lookout it was like turning the clock back to my much younger days as a child and when I used to climb up to the lookout from the Colo River. First time accessed from this way.
A nice walk along firetrails all the way to the LO. A pleasant view. Then a careful climb along and down to the cache. A very good hidey-hole for the cache. TFTC and a FP for bringing us to this location.

Another day that just calls out for more calendar finds.
I've been eyeing the growing challenge trail near the Colo River with interest. I know I qualify for every one except the *WhereIGo Challenge* (not even close). As I don't sign unqualified challenge caches on the basis I might qualify one day, that's ten caches I can get in one walk including the nearby traditional. SOLD!
Got all ten I went for, but two required a PAF - well text, actually, as I had major connection issues here - thanks Optus. Great walk with a top view at the end.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Six of the challenge trail down and now I'm close to this one. Walked the trail to the lookout - serious view here - even when cars are going across the bridge.
Relocated slightly to GZ and spotted a likely hidey hole as I started the short scramble.
Nice quick find. Signed, replaced, took in more of the view, then made my way back.
Gets a favourite for the view.
I still have two caches on this trail to retry.

I decided not to find this cache last time I was nearby with the long walk, but today was the day! The sun was great in the winter chill, the views were also nice.
On the walk back I crossed path with 4 feral deer.
Thanks for the cache.

The view certainly qualifies. Found with my river-caching mates as the day started winding down. Thanks bagoogle1.
The plan was always to come up to this track after a day on the Colo and find the new CITO challenge plus pick up some unloved at Colo Views. Good thing we didn't reverse the order as the two new caches found need a return trip however we suspect this wont be the last trip. Found with the full NSW Chapter of GOM plus, Team Novo, DKMacca and Martin Cousins.
Great views and great to find an ammo can.

Have had my eye on this one for some time as its been one of a few unfound in this area. With some more caches placed "nearby", and 12 months unloved, there was plenty of incentive to make the trip. Views are certainly picture perfect! FP
Having enjoyed a fun day on the river belowo to pick up the CRGPT, our aim was to grab the new CITO challenge as well as some unloved days at PICTURE PERFECT - Colo Views. What a pleasant surprise to see a couple of new first-to-find opportunities pop up along the way.

Out today with a posse of petulant paddlers (and one powerboat) for some water power trail caching, beginning this morning from the Colo bridge: the centrepiece of the view offered here near GZ. Crash and I have often been fighting out unloved battles over the last few years, often pipping each other at the post as we each have over 100 years worth I believe. FYI checkout [these 2018 logs here](https://coord.info/GCX3RF). Crash mentioned there was some unloved here and I figured it appropriate that we finish the day calling it a truce up top here and claiming the 12 months or so together. So we did. Due to some other developments during the arvo tho, namely some newly published challenge caches nearby, it ended up being quite the grumpy gathering. TFTC, bagoogle1 ...and thanks Crash for the friendly unloved rivalry good times.

This ticks all the right boxes for me. A good bushwalk. A great container and a fantastic view. Left a swampgecko 2002 pathtag for whoever wants it.
Geocaching day around Richmond and Colo valley.
We stopped the car at the waypoint parking. The walk to the cache was easy and quite nice. At the end of the track the view is beautiful.

Tried this one last year on the way back picking up the dog from the kennels, but didn't do the research at home and was stranded without information on parking area, ect. But this time, the dog had to be picked up again, but we'd done our research, and brought the gpsr.
On a sunny (42 degree) Christmas eve, we took the bloody hot bushwalk out to the cache, cicadas almost deafening, bathing in the heat.\
Walk was fairly easy, and beautiful, and the view was amazing, especially with the [still very hot] breeze at the lookout. Navigating to cache was easy enough, off the path but not really a bush bash. As soon as the gps said I had arrived, I had the CIH immediately! Coordinates were absolutely spot on!
A classic ammo tin in the bush (my favorite kind of cache) - a bushwalk (usually hot & sunny), bit of a bush bash but nice simple and super rewarding find.
Really great, fp awarded! TFTC!!!

Unfortunately left my horse at home so I had to do this one on foot. Good day for a walk, I thought!
A few more ups and downs on the trail than expected, lots of exercise and heat, but worth it in the end.
Finally made it and was rewarded with a wonderful view. Good hiding spot, did not take long to find the cache with good co-ordinates.
Worthy of a favourite point, really good view and no people around. Would be even nicer in cooler weather.

Out early in the morning with alnic39 and phlphotos, with a bit of time before the CITO to make an attempt on finding this cache. I have been wanting to do this one for a while, but had thought perhaps I'll bring a mountain bike to get from the parking to GZ. Also, I've mentioned this place to my family several times, and I was a bit hesitant about whether or not my 4-year old would want to walk that far. As it turns out, it was a quick and very pleasant walk and won't pose a problem for the others, as long as we tackle it at a cool time of day, or in the cooler months.
As we were approaching the general area alnic39 spotted a goanna making its way up a tree. Alas, the smartphone's camera wasn't quite up to the job of capturing the reptile, which was moving quite quickly and even hissed at us.
A bit of a search ensued at GZ, with us trying various levels, until phlphotos made the find on the other side of a large boulder I had looked under without success. I mean, one would think an ammo can ought to be pretty easy to find ...
All signed and sealed and returned to its hiding spot. I'm surprised there aren't more finds on this one. The walk is pleasant, the views spectacular, and it's a decent size container. What more could one want?
Bummer to hear you dropped your phone here, alnic39. I remember you taking a photo shortly before the find, but you had your phone in hand. And double-bummer that you came back and still didn't spot it on the return visit. Good thing you were able to track its location; and also a good thing there isn't any rain predicted overnight. Good luck; I hope you find the phone quickly and that you are still able to complete your planned mission on Sunday.

Came out with phlphotos and stefanoodle. Took a few minutes to find the cache. I realised later in the day that my phone was missing. I walked back in this afternoon to check where I was sitting as we signed the log. Nothing. Got home and my wife checked the location of my phone...guess where? Yep. I'll be back tomorrow morning. Bringing my bike this time. TFTC btw. Awesome views.
It was a beautiful day and my geodogs needed to stretch their legs. This was a great little bush walk that we all enjoyed, although I had to carry my 16 year old Maltese the entire way as she tired real quickly in the heat. Great views. SL #3316 on streak day #1916 TFTC took TB
While out looking for caches for the day as we were in Colo camping LovelyLadyLocks spotted this one so we made our way to the WP and parked up. Short stroll (turned right instead of left first .. whoops). Short stroll back and we took the right track.
After about 15-20 minutes we made it to GZ and started the search. Lot of leaf litter made it a bit sketchy but I spied the hide and CIH.
Went back to the clearing and sat down on the rock overlooking the river. Simply breathtaking. FP from me

The name of this cache did not disappoint - what a rewarding view after a pretty bush walk. We are camping at Upper Colo Reserve for the Easter long weekend (and to get some caches done!) and this one popped up as we were headed back into Wilberforce. Cache and log are in excellent condition. Thank you for bringing us here. Favourite point from me. TFTC
What a great view well worth the walk thanks for the great hide I have dropped a trackable off that I picked up in the USA this was a cache for Australia Day 2017 cache in good condition.
#830 one of the caches I wanted to get today as it was supposed to be a nice walk to the cache took 2 goes to find the car park that I needed to use to enter into the fire trail. A nice climb from the car park to get to the turnoff onto Morans Rock Fire Trail headed to gz from there thought I was going to have to bash to the cache only to find the track got me almost to GZ. Took a few goes to get to the correct level for the cache. Signed the log and replaced as found thanks for the cache bagoogle1. Then a walk back to the car. 1400 metres as the crow flies about 2300 following the tracks. That got a few steps on the pedometer
Found today with the Champignon Blanc, and while it was in fact quite warm the humidity (100%) made it hard work. But the cache was soon in hand lovely location and great vista.
Thanks for the nice cache.

With the temptation of an ammo can the GeoReindeer was parked at the locked gate ... not a long walk, or even arduous, but the 100% relative humidity took its toll. The great view of the Colo River and Bridge near the GZ made up for the unpleasant conditions.
After the almost mandatory photos, the short seek ensured ... a bit dodgy for the less steady footed 'mushroom, it was for my erstwhile companion to do the find and extraction from the hide. Now that is a worthy cache container for a worthy outlook! TFTC baboogle 1
Not a place for jumping about kiddies I'd warrant.

It was father daughter camp and look where we stopped. We had to reflect on out time together and one thing was obviously caching.
Look what we found. Also introduced Ms Webb and Ms Ward to the fun.
Not quite in a kid friendly location as suggested in description.

We've passed this one a couple of times recently but never had quite enough time to tackle it, not to mention the last time it was about 38 ° C. The map we looked at seemed to indicate a track from the river but a quick reconnaissance proved that wasn't the case so we hopped back in the car and headed up the hill. The ridge top walk in was very pleasant on this cooler day. The view truly is spectacular up here. We are contemplating returning the next time the Colo is in full flood just to see what it looks like. The leisurely walk in and out took us about an hour for those making plans for the future.

After lunch it was time for some caching. and was my sole target for the day as I knew a walk was involved. Parked at the designated spot put on my bush hat, collected my walking pole and drink bottle and set off along the fire trail. It was a warm afternoon so steady was the pace eventually reaching the views, Colo bridge is a long way down there....... After enjoying the view I set about searching for GZ and after a short scramble I had the cache in hand. Signed log, retrieved the TB and left 2 TB's
Had a big day planned for caching in The Hills district today, but the weather was a not cooperating and the forecast was for the Warragamba Dam to start spilling last night with possible local bridge closures....so that trip has been delayed and we targeted this local cache which had been on our caching radar since we started caching last year.
Driving to the Mid Turnbull Fire Trail entrance off Putty Road with JJCC and geodad, we parked the car near the locked gate. Walking a couple hundred metres we followed the sign for the North Turnbull Fire Trail and enjoyed a very enjoyable stroll along this track. Within several hundred metres of GZ the trail split again and we then followed the Morans Rock Fire Trail. Arriving at the lookout 30 metres from GZ we were greeted with a spectacular view of the Colo River and valley below - absolutely stunning. Following the ridge line along we soon had the cache in hand with an easy find. We signed the logbook before replacing the cache back into its hidey hole. A great time of year to visit this cache as the native flowers are currently in full bloom so we had white, pink, purple, blue, yellow, orange and red flowers along the full length of our walk.
Both the cache container and log are in excellent condition. TFTC bagoogle1. A fav point from us.
Dropped off the Ugly Bubblesaurus TB plus one additional TB visit (Vanlith The Youngling)

A change of plans today brought teamMerlin and Geodad out to local cache the Colo Views. This has been our to do list for a quite some time.
We headed off and took the recommended fire trail to get to the indicated parking area. As we drove down the dirt track we approached the gate. I took a nice shot of us setting off at the locked gate. From this spot we walk. With GPS in hand we headed off the well maintained dirt road. Approximately 1.4 km to get to GZ. As we walked along the track the entire way all the native wildflowers were in bloom. I have put up many of the photos but this is only a small sample. The diverse colour size and quantity was truly extraordinary. Following the required tracks and many photos later we arrived at GZ with a surprising view down towards the Colo. Closing in on the final location of the cache we spied a possible hide which proved to be correct. The cache was retrieved and the log signed and returned as found. Team Merlin dropped off a TB for the next visitor. Cache container and log in good condition .
This cache is one I will give a favorite too it has been worth the wait I would recommend this walk and an unexpected magnificent view of the Colo..

So glad that this is now just a walking trail. You can still see some of the damage done by Blacktown rednecks.
Beautiful walk in, my employer lives in the valley so knew of this area.
So many motorbikes on putty road but you could still hear birds calling. A very nice view. Favourite point awarded and grabbed bob tb. Tftc Ln

Awesome spot I work down in the valley and should have found this some time ago. TFTC
I parked near the '500m to safety ramp' sign and made my way along the now closed but shorter old fire trail and had an easy walk apart from some short steep sections. Great views down to the river, thanks bagoogle.
Definitely worth the walk, great views and nice cache. Found easy enough once we had GZ.
I had a lovely morning stroll out here today.I live so close and never been up here before. Lovely views.
Cache in great condition. Took nothing left nothing.
Thanks for the cache bagoogle1.

Enjoyed the hike, and the beautiful view from GZ. Took "my names not Nemo" through for mileage. TFTC, SL, TNLN
Great way to finish winter. Nice walk on a warm Sunny Sunday with fantastic view in the distance where the kids had been doing their Duke of Ed hike. I do like a cache which requires the old GPS unit rather than the iphone. Also love a proper cache. Thanks bagoogle1

Canary suggested that a couple of caches out this way would be a good way to fill in the morning before the Bluies Spring caching event, this was our first target.
My car GPS decided to ignore the turn for the fire trail, and suggested I should drive straight across some bush to the locked gate. I decided to ignore that suggestion, and parked a bit further down the road instead.
We had an easy walk out to the lookout. Bikerbuddy detoured off the track immediately and headed straight for GZ. By the time we'd caught up with him, he'd spotted a likely hiding place & retrieved the container.
We took the time to admire the views after replacing the container, they are indeed pretty good from this spot.
Thanks bagoogle1

It was Canary's idea to come look for this cache this morning, ahead of Webguy's event in the Blue Mountains later in the afternoon. We walked across to the start of the track after initially missing the suggested parking spot (we parked further down the road). It was an easy walk out to this cache where we were treated with some great views over the Colo. I started off towards the cache from the lookout and found it in the first place I checked. This was a great start to our morning. Thanks
Wow I didn't notice this was 12 months unfound!?!
Parked near the turn off and enjoyed the mildly undulating track to the beautiful lookout. Then it was off to the GZ for a quick search. Well, bikerbuddy made the find as I was getting there!?!
A really pretty spot.

What an unexpected surprise, AMGSARI called in to see if I would like to do a cache we had spoken of some time back and which I had forgotten all about.
A nice drive out along the Putty Road to the “locked” gate at the fire trail head. From the gate it was an easy 1.4KM walk to GZ. There we were greeted with magnificent views of the Colo River, the bridge and the valley beyond. I forgot to bring the camera so look to AMGSARI’s log for pictures.
After a short search the cache was located, the coordinates are spot on!! The cache is large, filled with all sorts of interested goodies. This cache is certainly worth the walk, as all these bush caches are!!
Tks … bagoogle1 … GazMag

I was out with GazMag on a spur of the moment caching run. This cache has been on my to do list for quite some time. What a great location for a cache. After a pleasant walk the view was taken in, the log was signed and photos were taken.
Favourite for me.
Thanks bagoogle1

1530 GAFF1 On way to Lithgow for an Event, from Taree. (Zigzagging through Singleton) I did use the parking WP, very handy, as the GPS wanted to go everywhere else, especially from Wombat Rock !!
Left a few bandaids, and a 'Correct Site Marker' - surgical marking pen.
Through: Coins - 3Bros, AustLighthouse, Iconic Bridges, B2B ingot, Baa, Neigh and Oink, SummerLovin521TB, and trackable shirt.
Took a photo

Great adventure for the whole family, geokids need to be careful at final location.
Went for a cache check. Unfortunately the great 4WD track that leads to this cache, now has a locked gate, stopping vehicles accessing it. They always seem to spoil our fun ! Not to worry, the cache is still in good order. It can still be accessed by walking, bike riding, horse riding etc. up this very wide and well defined Fire trail. I have now added parking Coordinates. Ive also added more photos. Happy Hunting !
I will have to go up and checkout the new Gate. No climbing gear is needed to get to this cache, just decent footwear.
The 4WDing part of this one is no more, you can only get 100m off the road before you get to a new locked gate. Not sure to the where abouts of this one as the GPS was indercating halfway down the side of the hill. Didn't have the time and right gear to be scaling down a hill face. Will have another go at soon.
