A DNF for us today. All we found was a piece of paper that Whird had signed on 5th August.
Decided that today I would take my bike out to Cleaveland and have a cycle around and try out a few of "The Path" series and with a few others along the way.
It was a fantastic day, even though it started out quite cold at home, and i nearly decided not to go. But as I drove towards Cleaveland, the temp got to 23 degrees and was nice and warm in the sun.
I parked up at the cricket grounds (Henry Ziegenfusz Park) where i was surprised to see people setting put to fly model planes. Unfortunately they were not flying yet, and by the time I got back they were gone.
Anyways on to the cache.
Unfortunately I did not have any luck with this one. It eluded me even for the 15mins or so I was tramping around GZ.

Found the bottom part of this filled with water but no lid, signed and put a new bit of paper in bottom of container and put upside down where it was found but not sure how well that will stay safe and dry.
I know you already have a maintenance from someone else but I thought I would do one too, the bottom is ok but without a lid its not going to keep the paper log too dry even being placed upside down won't help too much.
Last time I came looking for this one it is late at night in the dark and the GPS was putting me at a different set of trees then where I found it. This time in the daylight was a quick and easy find.

Out and about on the southside again, with svn07 and Brother Colin for another Binge Friday
One just for me, as the others had already got it. A quick find on our tour of the area. TFTC, theuknurse.

Note to self buy gumboots to go caching in wet weather. Got close (8m) but will have to come back when the ground has dried a little or maybe not wearing brand new shoes.
I almost gave up on this one but my muggle sister found it about 15m from where my GPS said it should be. My sister and I were out doing some rogaining / adventure racing training though geocaching. It was her first geo-outing but I suspect we will do this together again in future.
This was about 3 hours into a 4 hour georun/walk around Cleveland.
TFTC.

Co-ords for this one was slightly out. Muggles outside nearby, trying to make the best of Aussie Day in the rain. Cache signed. TFTC
Out on the MTB and had a morning in Daisy Hill CP. Too nice a day (lovely breeze) to stop now! Decided to make another assault on Cleveland this arvo.
Pulled up at GZ and realised I'd have to dismount and hunt...
As Pete noted, the coords are at least 14mout. I took a WP but, annoyingly, seems I didn't save it.
There are a few likely suspects for the hide and it was an easy find once I started to look around
Easy parking nearby!
TFTC theuknurse!

Found this one eventually after expanding the search area, searching likely features, expanding the search area more and ao on. This one was found a full 15 metres from where the Garmin was indicating. TFTC theuknurse

No luck on this one I checked every spot 10+ m from GZ. This has been a challenging day as most caches are spot on but just the odd one is a significant distance out from GZ
Was looking at my phone walking along when my GPS went "beep"....oh yeah, I'm looking for a cache!!
Quickly found, thanks theuknurse.
Quickly found, thanks theuknurse.
Like the last couple of logs, found the cache in the open. I'd originally been looking in a spot a little way away thanks to my GPS, but replaced it in what I considered to be the nearest spot to where it was found with a little extra camouflage. TFTC!
TFTC! Was out of place in the open, signed log and hid in a reasonable spot at GZ.
Although the cache was out in the open it did not appear to have been tampered with. Perhaps it was supposed to be lying on the ground, as we looked in a lot of other places before we actually saw it! Not seeing the trees for the woods. MurchieUnearthers returned to a logical hidey hole but you might like to check it theuknurse. Thanks.
# 874. Oh no, not another Path Series with A, B, C etc. Too much for me when I am so tired from getting here yesterday. Way too confusing for me. More trees, more caches, more finds - that is the important thing. This one took us a bit longer as our GPS's had us looking further afield here. TFTC theuknurse.
At last the End, well not the end of your series, just the last one (well apart from the one we didn't find that is)....
What I am trying to say is the we have (sort of) completed this series.
Thanks for another bike series that we couldn't bring our bikes up for.
It was a nice walk thru the parks anyway.
Thanks, Robmc.

We had now arrived at the start point for the Path series of caches, doing them in reverse letter order. As usual they were set on a pretty piece of parklands and the now familiar containers were a welcome sight at each stop. Just B to go now.
Thanks uknurse.
Thanks uknurse.
A tai chi class 50m from gz I didn't linger for too long. Checked a few trees near gz. Put in alternate cords and checked a few more trees. No luck here.

Spent the day on the South Side and this was our 40th for the day. This one took some time to find because we found it 10m away from our GZ. Very quiet area late in the afternoon and the cache was in good condition.

Another pretty park in a very pretty town. GZ was about 8mtrs out. SL Left keyring. TFTC
Cache number 5 for the day. I first went to where GPSr said then i read Bro Co's log and thought... oh cool alt coords ill sit over there and find them. HAHAHA nice and close. Thanks for the cache
Found this with punk1959 and some friends on a dy of caching in the area. Thanks for the hunt.
Didn't find
Sadly, another of the "path series" we couldn't find, in spite of extensive search all around GZ....not sure whether it's co-ords or our GPS but each of this series that we've managed to find, has been 'spot on' with our GPS but then, disappointingly, we've had to DNF far more than we've found :O(
TFTC anyway

Out and about on the bicycle today to grab a few caches that eluded me last time I was in the area and to grab a few new ones as well.
This one eluded me last time as I did not have the alt co-ords and was searching in a different place. This time I found it fairly quickly nicely tucked away.
The cache is dry.

=) This was the first cache on my way on a small part of this series, widened my search and came up with the goods , TFTC =)
Ahhhh. The specimen container was laying on the grass. I signed & re-stowed where I thinks it may have come. SL.. TFTC jumbucks 25 March 2012 3:24pm
Our first find for the day, found cache on the ground in plain sight. Hid it but after completing more of the series, I realise I've hidden it at the wrong height possibly. Will contact owner.
TFTC Great to have caches along pathways!

We paddled to GZ in between showers and hunted around exhausting all possible hidey spots. Read some logs and widened our search. Paddle, paddle, squelch, Mr. Herbz suddenly spied the cache sitting in its place. TFTC.
Returned to this one with new Co-ordinates in hand. I worked my magic, ok the GPRs worked its magic, but still no Luck.
I kept looking around knowing what to expect after doing a few of "theuknurse" geocaches. I located item a little further up then I expected.
TFTC and New Co-ordinates.

Co-ordinates were off, as mentioned previously, but after widening the search, the cache was in hand. Cache and contents in good condition.

I arrived at GZ and had a look around without much luck. Read the previous logs and found the co-ordinates were out. Tried the goldielover, but like they were 106m off!
Anyhow got another set and the cache was found. They were the sevabo co-ords S27 31.775 E153 16.106.

After reading the logs now, I may see that the co-ordinates may have changed.
Will have to go back with new co-ords...

A quick find as we scanned the area on the way to GZ and stopped at what we figured would be a good hide and the cache was there. Nice spot TFTC. [1208]
This one had caused us some grief on the previous visit. We arrived and checked out all the same spots again and then widened our search even further. Goldielover finally spotted it. TFTC
Woohoo. We found it. After our 3 DNF's on previous caches and a DNF on this one not long ago we were determined to find this one . We searched and hunted and searched until finally the container was in hand. The co-ordinates were way out. We signed the log and walked away happy to cross this one off our list. TFTC
ealised coordws were a bit out so phone a friend for more accurate coords. While waiting for him to call back I found the cache after wideninbg my search a fair bit. TFTC the uknurse.
My shadow surched at the spot of the co-ordinated and 10m in circumference. But no sign of cache. It was either hidden well or muggled.
Quick grab as the GPSr took me straight to it. Was a bit worried about people in one of the houses, but they didn't seem interested in the guy in the park taking an interest in them .
The first of this series for us. I didn't realise the co-ords were out, but found it in a likely spot straight away. Ahhhh … sample jars, memories of Noosa . TFTC
The locals were into a Tai Chi session, so filled in some time until the area was vacated. Found the cache then set off for some more paths. TFTC
Clankirks and I had to return to find this one after the senior's tai chi class had finished. Great area and good hide, thanks theuknurse. Left pathtag.
We didn't realise after 10 mins of searching the co-ordinates were wrong. By then it was getting dark and a nearby muggle was watching us with much interest . We decided to give it a miss.
found it with skyejam and it was 11m away from GZ.. the cache hidden at S27 31.775 E153 16.106 thanks for leading us here.

Righto had H written in my notes but have looked at the maps and the cache order I have written and must have had a minor brain melt down and am assuming it had to be A not H. So unless the next cacher notes that WE DID NOT SIGN THE LOG BOOK am assuming this is the one we found today. Too many paths - too many dog lead entanglements - not enough coffee!!! Thanks for the caches - though I did think there was one that someone else had done that was mixed in with your series. Lordy I am really confused now!!
Relogging this under individual account, previously a member of Gaz'n'Kab account.
The co-ords are certainly out on this one and the obvious place to search ended up the way to find it
The co-ords provided by Sunshine Toledo were pretty accurate.
Thanks for the series theuknurse

Amazing how easy it is to find a cache when the co-ordinates put you near the cache. Searched for quite a while last week but only superficially this far from the posted co-ordinates. Thanks for the cache (and the series) thuknurse and thanks for the co-ordinate update Sunshine Toledo.
This one turned out to be a disaster. 10:05 muggle sitting close to GZ. 10:50 same muggle still in residence. 12:50 muggle gone, now for a quite find. Wrong! GZ showed 10m from the nearest possible hiding place going on previous caches in the series. Checked all of those types of places within 20m of GZ and not a cache to be found. However, there was ample evidence of cacher searches – looks like the chickens have been here. Will have to check the logs, etc. and try again when I come back to do the Third Path series.
Thanks anyway.
Thanks anyway.
Unlucky with this one a couple from the nearby high school decided to linger to long for me to be able to have a search, so I'll be back.
Wasn't sure how spot on we were with co-ords so scouted around quite a bit before hitting the jackpot.
929 - Found ourselves back in the area chasing the rest of the Path Series this afternoon. This one was the first of them on this cold and bleak afternoon. After a brief search where the GPSr said it should be, I read the previous logs and moved our search out to about 14m and quickly found its hiding spot. Our first of the afternoon found at 1:52pm.
3rd time luck here too. The alternative co-ords put me closer, but still 6m away. A systematic search came up with the goods TFTC
Found it !! Another day off and another trip out to knock some of the series' off in Cleveland TFTC Series
After a very nice lunch at the pub we thought we'd try a different path but alas, another DNF.
Thanks anyway!
Thanks anyway!
GPS took to another set of logical hide-outs but after checking older log entries while on GZ, one pointed to what I had thought being a good choice.
All good in the cache. Signed, thanks!

Found with TassieGirl.
The path was a lot drier than the cache area.
We made it there dry however and soon had our names in the log.

Hey!! Wait a cotton pickin' minute... what happened to "B" ? [:o]
I had ridden the pushbike from "D" to "F" and back to "C" and thought I was making a "B" line for the next cache.
Only to find I was making "A"
At least the sun was shining
'Twas a bit sloshy under tyre and foot, but after some false starts I narrowed down the cachey place
Now where be "B" ?
Berfore "A" I "C" [:o]

TFTC. Still sloshy under foot, but found it a little way of from GZ. Left micro Rabbit.
Found at 1104. A quick find end up with wet socks trying to find a way around the water lying around, I didn't. Cache OK and dry. TFTC.
Found by Sunshine Toledo and Jinga 2 at 10:40am. We found this cache to be out by quite some metres; about 18m. TFTC
