GZ is certainly getting some national media attention this morning, with the Albany ANZAC centenary celebrations taking place at the moment, with full coverage on ABC. Numerous shots from above of the wall.
I'll check that all is well after the ANZAC 100 year celebrations of this week are concluded
Definitely needs checking so that others aren't wasting time looking for a cache that is probably long gone... Will be watching to see if it was there or not.
Have tried this one many times with no luck. Ater speaking to a few people who have been successful in the past, I acquired a few pointers and once convinced I knew exactly what I was looking for... still couldn't find.
Attempted this one today in the company of a previous finder. I came up empty handed, as did he. Am left wondering if it is still there. Perhaps the CO could check on it sometime?? Thanks anyway wefoundit2
Can we get confirmation that this is still in place with no finds since April. Know this is a difficult one.
Spent awhile on this 1 with no joy even with help of a fellow cacher who has made the find.
I looked, I stared, I prodded and poked, but a find was not on the cards for me. Thanks for the hunt and the opportunity to add my name to another DNF wall of no smileys.
Omg how tricky is this we have been back five times great hide but would love to find it.
While in Albany with my daughter and son in law we checked this on out. While there a fellow cacher joined us with a clue and still no luck. It must be an excellent hide and will keep track of its success rate.
look forward to its response.
thanks wefoundit2 from Victoria

On a overnight roadtrip to Albany for a family funeral so decided to cached while here.
We got to gz about 5pm so we did a quick look but didn't find.
I even PAF so knew what I was looking for and at one stage gps said I was 0.8m away but no luck
Darkness was setting in fast and I had left my jacket in the car so decided to call it quits and get back to some warmth.
Will try again another day in the future
Thanks

DNF came here after picking up the one at the post office, spent ten minutes here without any muggles. Reading some logs it appears that the T rating has been adjusted, it's currently a T1 which is wheelchair accessible, I searched the wall both sides and two feet off the path which would stretch the T rating as T1 is wheelchair accessible and the rocks aren't wheelchair accessible. Has a lot of favs so I will watch with anticipation. Thanks
Hardest cache I have ever done it did drive us up the wall it took us 5 times to get it. Well hidden thx wefoundit2!
No luck, once more. This one has continued to elude me and did so again today. But I shall be back!
The dedicated searcher of our group found it! The rest of us had quit! What a cache! Classic
Arrived in Albany late yesterday and had major shopping projects on our agenda. We had to find a cache today to continue our streak and 2 were EXTREMELY high on our agenda this was the closest to our start point this morning so off we went!
Well our first attempt at this cache was as 'newbies' back in July 2011. We revisited in October and were determined to not leave without a find, alas we were met with a construcition fence. [B)] so no chance to search back then.
Today is our first chance to revisit and again we were heading in with determination! [8)] Maybe we have learnt a thing or two in 3 years or maybe the camo has worn a little [?]
But thankfully we were soon at GZ and this one has been crossed off our annoyancometre!
Woo Hoo a smilie for us.
TFTC wefoundit2 a fave from us.

One more try as we leave Albany and with a lot of help from our friends we are finally able to say "we found it". Ian came along a little later after parking the caravan and found the cache after it had been signed and returned but even he needed a little guidance.
So glad to be able to go off on our year long trip with this one found as on two previous visits to Albany we took lots of looks but had to go home empty handed.
thanks for the entertainment and memories.

This was our 1st cache find in a caching run of 11 Finds & 0 DNFs today.
We found it at 09:21 so this now makes our total find count 8030.
[blue]Today we bid a fond farewell to our travel companions The Drovers and Team Pathfinder who have been camp companions for the week. We hope to catch up with each team again soon.
Our cache run today took longer than we expected, because now we are down to two pairs of eyes. Nevertheless we had a good day out caching.
We spent lots of time here this morning, and finally located this elusive (evil ) cache.
[/blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: Excellent (We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.)
Cache Condition: Container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Nothing.
Thanks wefoundit2 for the hunt today.

Had yet another attempt at this one and again came up empty handed even though this time we had been given a fairly big clue. Definitely going cache blind. Ah well another reason to come back to Albany.
Once again, we spent the afternoon caching around Albany.
As the area was muggle free today, we decided try our luck.
With a careful and methodical search, the nasty little hide was discovered.
We happily added our name to the log.
Many thanks for the hunt today, wefoundit2.

Reattended to let my geo youngest to find it as well. Definitely a favorite of ours. Brilliant.
Quick note to all the cache is there and it's a great camo so keep looking...going to add this as a favorite..
After 6 visits finally found it. My GPS was out a bit. Very tricky, persistence needed.
up the wall i have been...6 visits and lots of knee crawling and close wall inspections later,i have found it...wow this is only a 3.5/5 what would a 5/5 be like...great hide thank goodness its off my mind..thanks again wefoundit2 you kept me very busy...
Mrs Peeted in company with Mrs HJ 55 found this cache this morning but being the official Peeted cache logger I refused to log it until I had seen it for myself. Went back with Mr Happyjacks 55 and also found it. So despite some previous frustration yes we have found it. Gets a favorite from us. TFTC
TFTC/TFTH have previously looked for cache without success this time found in minutes.
FOUND IT.... 12 months ago we spent hours trying to find this cache with no success. Came back 12 months later to see it was not available, nearly cried in my cereal bowl. Was so pleased to see it appear again a few days later. So this morning Mrs Peeted and me, Mrs Happy Jacks55 were off to find it. It wasn't found in a hurry and we were worried it was going to be another 12 months wait. But then we saw it....yea. Thanks for the cache it certainly deserves a favorite.
All good. Made even easier to find

Could not find, I come down every Saturday and no luck! Any chance of a hint?
I'd like to request a check that all is well. I think I know the location but it looks like it has been moved/ removed. If it's possible I'd like to get a quick verify that all is well before dragging the kids back
Despite our best efforts and checking all the obvious places could not find this one . Had an idea what we were looking for but no luck. Lack of time meant we couldn't persist. Maybe next time better luck. TFTC.
No luck here for us today . With the GPS'r jumping around a bit, we weren't sure which wall we should be searching [?] .... and after a good half an hour of searching, and the kids letting us know that they'd had enough ... nothing came to light. We'll try to get back for another look before we move on to Esperance later in the week. Thanks anyway
After receivning an info from the onwer, I tried again looking around at lesat for 30 min...but I had to go..If I had time I will try it again..By the way, I had a cache of that time at home..
Another scalp to the collection, spent about 1 1/2 hours over 4 tries but no luck. May try again 1 day.
Nope, too good for me. Memories of CATALINA in Bowen, North Queensland sprang to mind. I thought I checked everywhere very carefully. I thought it may have been a flat magnetic. Only one anomaly stood out, but checking it didn't reveal anything. Muggle workmen working nearby didn't help my cause.
Cheers

Got caught out searching by another geocacher who was returning for another look. We searched and searched but got nothing. I then gave up and left.
I hope the other Geocacher succeeded! If you did feel free to send me a hint

Found it Found it Found it!!!!!! Gee this should have been so easy now I've seen the hide but it wasn't. It took a lot longer than the 5 minutes I took today but this was the 4th visit and was prepared to sit and scan every square metre if necessary, then bam right in front of me. TFTC
Oh my goodness!! Was hunting with my geomum for the second time when she came up with the goods! It was really driving us up the wall!! 2nd cache for August excellent and creative camo! Thanks for the cache
Searched three times before spotting something. Could it be? Maybe! Yes! Great cammo! Great location. Great Wall!
Found this one a while ago and finally went back with a pen to sign the log today!! This is one of my fav's took many a visits to eventually get it , well done!! Log is full
I've looked three times now with no luck - driving me nuts somebody email me the answer [email protected]!
a dnf for me looked twice today if someone out there has an extra hint it would help spent hours today looking and would love to find this one
You got us - we searched for a long time in the cold. Love to know what we missed as we will not get back to it - we live on the east coast.
What a hide most of the family had given up but geomum found this one on a beatiful day to be outside enjoying the view
just about ready to walk away after a half hour search then how i didnt see it earlier beats me great hide rewarding find tftc
Was looking and wionering how accurate your coordinates were when a couple came along and Jazl my dog spotted an umbrella. That was it I was dragged away as she is petrified of them will try soon.
A DNF, damnation!! Geohubby and I looked and looked whilst avoiding inebriated local who seemed keen to assist...maybe we might have been more successful if we had let him!!
Finally by the last hint of light of the day i hear the words cry out "I've found it " i scream, I jump with joy at last we have conquered THE WALL. TFTc
DNF @ 19:45...
DNF #2 of the day, on a drive from Esperance to Perth via Albany as part of a four-night camping trip with friends!
After a climb in the Stirling Ranges, we were all quite eager for some food and stopped by at a nearby Chinese restaurant!
Once finished, I took my leave and ran down the hill to the nearest cache while the others were working out where we will be sleeping tonight!
A quick grab at a nearby cache meant I had time to 'scout' this one, as I didn't expect to find it at night with only about two minutes set aside for it!
Checked out a few places and formulated a few ideas before dashing back up the hill to regroup!

Sometimes you just get lucky! Thought we had rocks in our head and beneath our feet looking for this one as it was pretty windy at GZ and getting a bit chilly as the sun went down.
But Mrs Albeany came up trumps after a previous find on the same day had us thinking along these camo lines- almost literally the first place she looked. It's a hide that doesn't deserve to be found like that!
Great bit of handiwork wefoundit2 [^]. Love your work! TFTH/C And the log has only a couple more spaces.

Eighteen months ago I made two valiant but mind-numbingly unsuccessful attempts at finding this, and swore never to try again. But it niggled... I had decided in my mind what this needle-in-a-needle-stack must be —had to be— to evade capture so well, and when I met one of those exalted heroes who have actually found the little devil, I was able to confirm my suspicions. One day, I promised myself, one day...
Today was that day! I had dropped duckrunner off at the bus station —she was going up to Perth to compete in her favourite event, the 2000M Steeplechase (my little Iron-Woman) — and I had the day free to grab a few caches. So, over to The Wall.
And there it was. Just as I'd suspected. Why couldn't I see that before? Because it is a bloody good camo, that's why! And it's pretty small... But very well made. If this isn't some crafty commercial unit purchased at great expense from a Swiss Engineering firm, but was hand made by the wefounditz, then my hat is well and truly off to them! Well done. But forgive me if I can't award a favourite — all that gleeful gloating and collecting of DNF scalps...Not Nice Narrelle!
And now I can rest at last, sanity battered but intact.

It's about eighteen months since we were in Albany last, and we weren't sure when we left if we would ever get back this way from SA. The only thing we didn't do during our three weeks then was find this cache and it has bugged us ever since
We have now been back here for a week and have spent much of the time hiking and caching in the Porongurup and Stirling Ranges. Geohubby and I seem to have been skirting around discussing when/or even if we were going to give this one another try. We are moving on tomorrow and with a few hours to spare I suggested we give it another go. I had told my elderly Mum back home about this cache and she has been asking us all week if we had found it yet? I can now tell her we did [^]
In the last eighteen months we have found quite a few more geocaches so we are much more savvy about possible cache hides and we had this little beauty in hand within about 5 minutes.
Well done to all who have logged all their DNF's....some repeatedly.....I bet wefoundit2 get lots of joy from reading them all! Glad to say we don't have to log another one ourselves.
Thanks a million wefoundit2 for a great hide. a favourite point from us. [^][^][^]
SPOILER ALERT: We have included a photo of the cache for all those who need a little hint.

Didn't find it after about 4 visits and nearly breaking my ankle over the rocks....will hopefully find it on our next visit to Albany.
Found it together with Team Autoværn on our journey in Australia.
Spent a lot of time at this one, but at the third attempt we found it after 3 mins. Sneaky sneaky..

Very clever. Found it on our third try. It helped to go in the evening when it was nice and quiet and it wasn't blowing a gale and much easier to be patient. Nice work. Thanks.
This cache came recommended when we bumped into 'Devil Dog & Co' at Princess Royal Fortress so down we came for a look. Spent some time looking around until some muggles showed up and we had to leave it. Bumped into Devil Dog again who confirmed we were on the right track so back we came for another search and finally the sneaky little cache in hand.
what a cache to log as my 1000 cach ??? Yes we found it and on Aust-day as well, could not be a better day 1000 cache and home befor 15;00 with a beer in hand.
Yes it took some to find but it was good when we did

Wow! Can't believe our luck on this one..... Mrs Off-Roader found it in the first place she looked. What a fluke... this should have taken hours. Very clever hide. This definately deserves a fav point
Thanks for putting so much thought into this one wefoundit2!

this was a awesome catch after the second attempt and kept at it there it was I take my hat off to the owner very well done and a great place found it with devil dog & sweet justice
The Ken part played with the 3 yr old on the grass. The Bel part had a quick look along the wall. Gotta watch those little rabbit holes in the grass when you run around.
Had a micro look then watched the bloke talking to himself about pollution in the small bay and him bailing up the locals to rant at them. Not nice.

Since the last log I've had two quick cracks at this bloody cache, I've employed a fast, intense search strategy aiming to keep my sanity intact whilst turning up the cache.
We are now heading home tomorrow where I will closely study the logs and prepare for our next assault on the wall.
Thanks for the cache wefoundit2, I really can't wait to see it.

2Nd attempt at this very tricky cache... Gps got us to within 12 centimetres but no find.. We will be back
