TFTC. Easy find with a good hint. Way too wet to do the walk today. Ill definitely return
Quick detour to have a look down hereFound okBut didn't do the rest of the walkThanks for the cache
Tasmania Trip Day 6. It is time to move on from Burnie, and I headed south towards Queenstown. There were of course a few detours, both for counties and for popular destinations Zeehan and Strahan. Unlike the last few days, the roads got quite twisty at times, but the scenery was spectacular and Queenstown although quite on a Sunday afternoon, was an interesting place to look around and find dinner. With a difficult walk looming ahead, I was happy to find this in the dense forest without any difficulties. Thanks for the cache No Left Turn45927.23 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 3000 Finds Achievement A#154**Albida**
Today we headed out to do the Kelly Basin walk as we try to complete as many of the 60 Great Walks of Tassie whilst we are here. Naturally we had to stop and see the King and Queen. Quick find and sign here. TFTC
After spending a couple of days in Queenstown, we ventured down this road to collect a few caches. This one was found quickly as we began the loop. Tftc
21219During our great trip around the world we arrived in Australia after visiting Canada, US, and some places in the Caribean Sea and Central America as well as Fiji. Besides lots of sightseeing, we can't do without caching, of course. That's why we also passed by this place, searched for the cache, found it and successfully signed the logbook.Thank you for hiding and maintaining the cache. Only thanks to dedicated owners is this beautiful game possible.Wir danken alle Cache-Ownern fr ihren Einsatz, denn ohne die Gemeinschaft ist dieses tolle weltweite Hobby nicht zu realisieren.
TFTC & walk. That is amazing to see the confluence. Nice little walk in. Signed the log book. TB# TM0HXR also visited (from NZ)
As well as the little Green Man at the base of the steps, it was good to have this cache here to mark the start of the walk.Cheers
Day 6 of our wee winter westie wander, and last day (except for the trip home) to bag a few caches. Three in this locality looked attractive .......... as is the beautiful walk through the myrtle, sassafras, and leatherwood forest. Some very nice huon pine specimens at the confluence as well ! Cache found soon enough from description. Found a nice little inner container (unused), so transferred the logs to this for extra insurance in keeping logs dry. Thanks for making this walk extra attractive "No Left Turn". Now for a couple of others right at the confluence.
What a beautiful walk and it’s only the beginning. My GPS had me in the wrong place but I eventually worked out where I needed to be thanks to the hint.
I also got to pick up a TB that was hanging around this cache.

Cache in good condition. Thanks

I did this fantastic walk with a couple of muggles from my extended family after returning from attempting the walk to Kelly Basin. I left a Travel Bug.
Such a magical walk! We were on a mission to get another csche for a challenge, but side tracked to quickly find this one - determined to come back to do the other caches along the track on the way back. Thanks!!!
Over the long weekend xxDouDouxx and I made a plan to knock off several challenge caches including caches from "Old School Challenge" GC44WV0 and "Tasmanian Mainland LGA Challenge" GC8CGMX, as well as a few caches for various statistic grids. I'm happy to say LGA is now complete and Old School is well on the way. A fantastic, busy, and adventure filled 3 days was had, covering 1500km from Huonville, to Ben Lomond, then Georgetown, across the top to Burnie, down through Waratah, Queenstown, and back to Huonville. Lots of great caches, new places to explore, fantastic views, and interesting locations...
Fantastic walk, well worth doing. What a spectacular sight to see and interesting read. Amazing this track is maintained by just a single local person. A definite favourite from me. Thanks

Catching up with some very late logs. This was found while staying in the area and grabbing just a few for the day. Once at GZ it was an easy enough find. Thanks for placing this cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy finding it.
After hiking along the King River and NOT doing the track from the top like most people lol this was the last of 3

Today, Mrs Oz KEG and myself decided to venture to Queenstown. We spotted a virtual cache to the south that we couldn't resist a drive out to see what the mysterious object was. We grabbed this cache on the way back. We tried to find this one at the start of our walk with no success. We continued along the track to complete the other two caches before returning again. The GPS was jumping all over the place. We ended up just doing a detailed search in the general area and soon came up with the cache.
Today we headed to Queenstown with the intention of hopefully collecting the two new caches that had very recently been placed out there and also picking up several other Queenstown caches that we have not yet gotten around to. The weather forecast was pretty grim with rain , rain and more rain . However we decided to persevere anyway. We had a relatively early start. The drive was pleasant and uneventful but the nearer we got to the west the harder and more persistent the rain got. As they say though there is not such thing as bad weather just inappropriate clothing so luckily for us we were well equipped with wet weather gear. We did end up looking like drowned rats however we had great fun and collected six well placed caches along the way, including two first to finds.
We deliberately saved this cache until we retrieved the others in the area and came back to it on the way through. Parked up and took the short stroll. Fantastic area with amazing flora and particularly spectacular fungi nearby. Upon finding the cache we noted that the log was pretty disintegrated so we walked back to the car to get some new paper. Signed and replaced. TFTC

A day out with OLdsaint, and this stop was important as I wanted to walk to the confluence. The confluence did not disappoint and I placed an earthcache and normal cache there!
Thank you for the cache

Well finally managed to sort out my log-in drama's and log this cache we visited about a month ago. Typical West Coast winter weather, but that made the hike in all the better. Wow what a terrific spot, mother nature sure is incredible!! TFTC
We decided to walk down to the river and then find the cache on the way back. It's certainly well worth the walk, what a cool spot! TFTC!

This was not the spot I was expecting, a lovely short walk, quick find by Wazza9, signed log and replaced. Thanks to No Left Turn,
TFTC,
After finishing GCG2NR, it was time to explore via a trip to Tullah and Rosebery. Must recommend a vist to the history photos at the cafe near the Post Office in Tullah. Learnt so much by talking to locals.
Back to Queen meeting the King, a quick find and found that only one side of the log had been used so didn't replace it.

Nice quick one, great walking track down to where the queen meets the king, thank you to local Anthony Crosswell for maintaining the track and the logbook at the end.
We were exploring the Queenstown area today and thought we would get a few caches. We had heard about these two rivers but didn't know exactly where it was. This cache at the start of the track is a great waypoint. After figuring which is the right tree, we made a quick find. Followed by a very nice walk down to the Confluence. TFTC
T-Tech and I are down from Brisbane for a meandering holiday around Tasmania. We flew to Melbourne where we picked up the campervan and spent a day caching there, then took Spirit of Tasmania I to Devonport. Tick that one off the bucket list!
Today we are travelling from Hamilton to Strahan as we have a booking for the weekend there. We have made it to Queenstown, so it's time to head south and grab the Virtual near Crotty Dam, but we'd better gather the other two caches along the way! This one was the last for the day, and we were pretty wet and cold from the walk to the Virtual, so T-Tech at first declined to join me in the search. The drizzle made things tricky, and I had trouble with GPS under the trees, so in the end I went back to the van for his help. With two of us searching we eventually made the find. Time to head to our campsite and dry out and warm up. TFTC, No Left Turn.

Down from Brisbane on hols with IolantheK.
Another one of many on our travels through Tassie [^]
Nothing I like more than caching in the rain, ask IolantheK
The clue could be a little open for interpretation "a bit twisted tree" or "bigger twisted tree"
Cache is dry and in good condition [^]

We found our first Huon pine on this walk. Thank you so much for this cache! Left a Star Wars figure from a kinder egg.
Great our enjoyed journey on way to Queenstown for overnight. Found your cache today. No Left Turn, thank you so much for placing it.
I left Adelaide ten days ago and slowly made my way across to Melbourne, then across on the ferry, and now I’m headed to Hobart, primarily to catch up with family and friends. But I have also been chasing down some selected caches, as well as a few opportunistic finds along the way.
Today I travelled from near Stanley, down to Queenstown via Tullah, then on to Bronte Lagoon where I camped.
I stopped to find this one on my way out to do the Virtual cache, ‘Why The Hell Is It There?’. It was a quick find. I liked the sign marking the start of the walking trail!
Thanks No Left Turn for the cache.

Out and about exploring this great part of Tasmania as part of are 8 mth trip to this Island paradise, love Tas... TFTC, TNLN.
We were hours behind as usual so sadly didn't do the walk to meet the king and queen but did make time to find the cache. As we always say, we'll do the walk next time. Thanks No Left Turn, straight ahead from here.
Left Hobart early in the morning and had a list of caches to pick up on our way to Queenstown for a stop over then heading to Corinna and then Waratah for Australia Day Event! If it wasn’t for geocaching we wouldn’t venture down these little tracks. Many years ago we ventured to Queenstown and saw this cache but we were very new to geocaching and couldn’t work out how to get out here. With more knowledge we made the journey to GZ! Took awhile to find the very wet log book. We replaced the log book with a new log, bag and smaller container that fits inside the original.
Thanks for bringing us here!

i'm really sad since it was raining a lot when we came here
the forest was covering us until the cache but a bit further it was too much
i'll come next time to see the junction
thanks for sharing this place

Quick easy find. A nice little walk down to where the rivers meet. Container was a little damp, as was the log book but I was able to sign. TFTC
The weather had closed into fine misty rain by the time we arrived at the start of the walk. We found the cache and SL at 4.40pm. The container was damp inside and so we removed the soggy bits and left the log book in a zip lock bag. All good again. We replaced the container in an upright position and covered carefully with natural camo. #4957. The steady rain meant no walk to the meeting of the Rivers today. TFTC No Left Turn. Now back to our warm and dry motel room!
No Left Turn thank you for the cache.
This was one of many caches I found on a caching trip to Queenstown with Swampy .
I didn't read the description so didn't realised the walk was so short if I had I would have walked out to the confluence of the two rivers.
The cache took a little longer to find than it should have but got there in the end.
Found at 2:50:00 PM

This is a cache I have looked at on the map a few times but never had the time during my past visits to the area, but today driving down this way early I was treated to a great sight of the rivers mixing.
A short walk along a well taped trail made for an easy walk to the view after finding the cache, thanks for this.
Thanks for the cache.

Woke up late today, but still headed out with our picnic lunch and GPSr loaded.....
Headed out of town to the lookouts first, then down the road to meet the King and Queen. This was an easy find, after which we headed down to the river - not the 10 minute walk promised, closer to 30, but never mind, we enjoyed the walk, the view and everything in between. Back at the geomobile, we picked off the leeches before heading off for a further drive in the area.

Touring around Tassie exploring some of its natural beauty while grabbing some caches along the way.
Would not have known this walk was here. Unfortunately the threat of imminent rain brought us out of there prematurely. Tftc.
We found the cache easily enough but unfortunately didn't have enough time for the walk as a full day was planned. next time we are back around the west coast we'll make sure we have time for this walk. TFTC.
Went back out, put a new log sheet and a new bigger zip lock bag. I'll change the container when I have one suitable as this one leaks.
Found with Imia, soggy book and container. Have messaged the owner asking if we can adopt it, however his account says he hasnt been active since 2011, so dont like our chances.
Going to go back out there tonight and put some new paper, new zip lock bag, and possibly a new container (thing leaks, see what i can find at home).
Hopefully we can adopt this and look after it (and the other 3 the user "No left turn" has in the area).

Found with seventhrombus whilst on our way to take the dogs for a swim and have a BBQ by nearby Crotty Dam to start the year off. Cache was in poor condition, soaking wet, and the log book was unusable. We will put a new log in and fix it up as best we can next time we come this way, as the owner doesn't seem to be active anymore. Other than that, though, the location is awesome, and it's well worth walking down the track to the river. There's a small gravel pull-off area on the side of the road where it starts, and some wooden posts to mark the start of the track. Very pretty area, worth a detour!
We drove past the track entrance, parked further down the road and walked back up to the start of the track which blends in so well with the environment that it is easily missed. The cache was found but the log was wet so we signed a small sheet of paper and added it to the container. Thanks for the cache.
For some reason my phone didn't load the details or the hint, but they weren't needed. I thought the cache name referred to the trees at which it was placed! Now sitting in the comfort of the hotel I see the name is to do with the two rivers!
Cache contents were extremely wet, log book very soggy but still managed to sign it, just!

Not too long to find this cache. Rather wet and rainy so we opted to try the walk when it's drier.
Cache was waterlogged but still a great find. Im local so will replace with new box shortly
A quick find on our way back to Queenstown. Magical walk down to where the rivers meet, very appreciative of the rope for the steep downhill walk, much easier coming back up. Really enjoyed this and would not have found it if there wasn't a cache here. TFTC.
Found in the company of Chris Mc (I think he is now hooked), after an unsuccessful attempt at Deep Forest just down the road.
Cache and log wet but managed to sign the log.
It was getting too late in the day to do the walk, so I'll do it next trip up the west.
Thanks for showing me this spot and for the cache!

Contents sodden and water has entered the cache body. Unable to log my find in the log book. Looks like the container has failed and needs some tlc. This is a great cache site.
great hide. The cache contained water and contents quite sodden, so I have logged a maintenance request on this one. It looks like the container has failed to keep the 9000 ml or so of annual rainfall at bay. tftc.

Nice walk, but ran short of time searching for the cache and didn't find it. Reading the other logs now can see where we went wrong, GPS signal was a bit off kilter, and being newbies we relied on the GPS a bit too much more than our eyes....

Finally we found it, very easy place. When we got back to the car, we noticed that there were little black/dark brown ugly worms every where in clothes and under clothes, yak!!!!!
