After leaving Point Turton this morning, StreetWalkerNZ and I arrived at the first of the Anna Tommy series after midday. We knew rain was predicted, so were keen to find as many as possible beforehand. After bailing out of the geoart because of the rain and busy road, we drove past this one en route to Gawler. Couldn't pass it by, so on with the raincoats and after searching quite a few possible hiding places, SW came up with the right one. Thanks for the puzzle and TFTC.
#24704. We were keen to get to Gawler for a coffee, but the lure of a solved puzzle was irresistible (even with a bit of rain falling) so we pulled over, and after a bit of searching located the cache. TFTC.
After a nearby event, doineedthis and I headed into the wilds of the Gawler Belt where we had solved a mystery or 40 and just had to find them Another mystery that I had solved some time ago, and today we got to make a find before heading back to the sea.TFTC BurtonsKeep smiling
After completing Anna Tommy, myself and Jolly0 had both solved this one so came for the quick find on the way back to the car
In the area mainly to complete the Anna Tommy series. But Im happy to find any cache along the way. Rented a bike at the Gawler Visitor Info Centre. Did 36 km total. And always into the wind. No problems here. Solved the puzzle a while ago. This was my first time caching in the area. TFTC!
Plans were made to attend the SA mega although our plans changed as both of our team couldn't go due to other commitments. So with that being sorted we booked everything and only made it a short visit to SA this time.Flew into SA this morning with Rapidlywild and being neither one of us is a fan of city caching we headed out to do this Anna Tommy series that we have had solved for quiet awhile now. After doing the Anna Tommy series we decided to pick up others along our journey. This was one of them that was also solved prior to leaving Canberra. Thanks for the hide Burton's and thanks for a fun short stint away caching Rapidlywild.
Plans were in place with FurfacesLL #1 to attend the SA single day mega. So bookings for flights, accommodation and car hire were made and off we went. Flew in this morning and our first target for today was the Anna Tommy series. Have had this series solved for quite a while now, however we never seem to be in this area to do them. We made sure that changed today. We made our way around the dirt roads, getting our hire car very dirty, but hey, its SA, plenty of dirt roads. We collected other caches around as we made our way through the Anna Tommy series. Have had this one on the solved pile or a bit, so time to get our names into the log, no issues there today. Thanks for the cache placement Burton's and thanks to FFLL for another awesome couple days of caching away from home. Looking forward to the next trip.
TFTC Burton's your cache Pete's Mate that we found today. Day 5 in Mallala as we wait for the Leap Day Mega. The day started with a Meet and Greet event in Gawler. After the event we continued where we left off in town chasing the rest of the multi caches in town as well as an AL, whereigo and a couple of puzzle caches. We also found a few traditionals. We could have kept going but we had had enough of travelling on dusty roads over the past couple of weeks. Back to camp to prepare for our move too Adelaide on Sunday. As this was close to an Adelaide AL stage we did the solve last night. Collected this and the AL stage before returning to town and then back to camp.Find Count: 18434
With some free time before the busy festive period, combined with todays good weather, I decided to head out for a day of caching. The plan was to head out to Two Wells, to target a couple of specific caches, before making my way towards Gawler to attempt some of the Anna Tommy series and a few other surrounding caches. I had been sitting on a solution for this puzzle for some time; however, it was a puzzle that was far enough from home that finding it would have to wait for a day I was in the area. Once at ground zero it did not take me long before I had my hands on the cache. The log was signed, the cache replaced, and I was on my way. Find #8210, at 04:02 pmTFTC
Thanks Burtons for a neat little puzzle. I looked at this, the last of two in this area, and solved pretty quickly. Driving past I had to stop. You knew it I went to the wrong tree. Finally found when looking in the right place.
Find #8730 at 4.08pm. Thanks for the cache. Book full, found some space on the back of one of the pages, still room for more.

No internet until now to be able to log this. Thank you for the cache - cache was found in good order
I recently completed one cache find in each 360 degrees from home location challenge. I have now decided to continue and aim for five finds in each of the 360 degrees. Today I was targeting specific caches in missing cells for this challenge and a few solved mysteries along the way.
A great day of sunshine and a bunch of high quality caches made for a very enjoyable day.

A week ago when we arrived in Tanunda the sun was out and we looked at the pool at the hotel and thought we had all week to swim. Then we had 5 days where it was overcast and slightly raining at times. We went walking each day and it was rather pleasant.
So of course on our last full day the sun was out and we were driving around picking up select caches. At least we made it back in time for a swim and a beer (and wine and cocktails). tftc

Clearly a case of cache blindness on my last attempt on this in mid 2018. Not being a SA resident, it took a while to get back in the area, but after a pleasant few hours in the Barossa, I took a detour on the Southbound run to pick this up. [^]
On arrival, there were a few options that presented themselves and I ticked each of them off one by one. Naturally, I started in the wrong spot and ended up finding the cache in the last remaining hidey hole. Hmm...
Container in hand though, I extracted the log and added my name. All done, I replaced, added some camo and moved on.
Cheers Burton's.

Out for a long bike ride with Uni and Medusa along the Northen Expressway and beyond. We parked a vehicle at each end and took the mountain bikes along the trails - 48.9kms and 115 caches in around 5 hours.
The bike trail allows one to see a lot more at 20kmh than whizzing past in a car at 110kmh. There is interesting WWII history in amongst the market gardens and salt flats. I really enjoyed the massive redgums and lushness around the Gawler River. On a hot day one would want to take plenty of water, there isn't a lot of shade or facilities along some of the stretches.
Solved this one years ago, finally passing GZ.
This cache was found at 1:57:00 PM and was 116 of 116 finds today.

This morning, Freddo, Team Waldron, thewhitedoggang, and Trail06 joined forces to complete the new Anna Tommy geoart series. The puzzle series took a while and some were pretty finnicky, but in the end, my anatomy knowledge had improved. We then detoured through a few geocaches around Gawler like the Meat Trail series, before I met with jesswrigley, and we took a drive through the wine country through Lyndoch finding a few oldie geocaches, and enjoying some wine tasting. We ended up calling through Tanunda for a bakery lunch, before closing out our day with some small walks/hiking in Kaiserstuhl Conservation Park, finding one of South Australia's oldest caches *Barossa High* as well as a few other older caches. A nice day to be out and about before we start seeing serious COVID-19 travel restrictions take effect.
A nice hidden cache at this cemetery. The geocache container and logbook were in good shape, and found within a few minutes of looking. Thanks Burton's for the geocache placement, and ongoing maintenance efforts.

Pretty sure we've correctly solved the puzzle but couldn't find the cache today. Two Wells Road was unusually busy today. We'll try another day when we'll be less obvious.
Woo hoo another Tuesday Caching adventure with the Puzzled Puzzlers. Today crew was me, Mrs. S.A. Sewer rats and Blackadders. Once again we headed north in search of some letter boxes, some solved puzzles, some Gone Fishn' and to rectify a couple of previous DNF's. And for once we didn't add any to the DNF list.
So a week ago I couldn't find this but then saw that Greg was able to find it two days later. Bugger. [:(!] So I redid the puzzle. Same result. It must be there. So first stop today and I was back again. This time I tried searching sideways rather that downwards and found it in the clever hide. Very glad to get this one off my list.
**Thanks Burton's for this cache. **

A straightforward solve and find. Thanks Burton’s for the puzzle and the cache.
Heading off for yet another Puzzled Puzzlers Tuesday Caching Day. Today's crew was just me and Mrs. SA Sewer Rats. [8)] Everyone else was too busy or wasn't interested in today's targets. Do the Mailbox series near Port Wakefield, grab a few nearby, a few unloved caches and revisit some recent DNF's. [:o)] Off course there were a few laughs, some great caches but unfortunately three more DNF's added to the list. Surprisingly no blood, falls or ripped clothing!
Damn..off to a bad start. This was the first DNF as we traveled northwards. Checked the obvious spots without success and then resorted to help from my caching buddy today who was a previous finder. [8)] Despite the narrow search area it was nowhere to be seen. Checked logs and saw it hadn't been see for over a year so I dug out 6 inches of debris just in case.
Still nada. Owner may have to check this one!
**Thanks Burton's for the search anyway. **

Headed out today to do the final Mission GC Challange. After finding the required cache type, we moved on to do a few others. Meggs had solved this one ages ago and as we were passing, we stopped to make an easy find. What a quaint little cemetery, sadly there was no trace of the church building though.. TFTC
We wanted to find a cache today for another souvenir. Puzzle caches are definitely not our forte but we were delighted to see this one which we were able to solve

We are currently returning from the JLWE and have needed to stop to get a few repairs organised and found ourselves looking for a free camping spot and have found a lovely one here in Mallala. We highly recommend it, are we allowed to do this, we guess so as it is not a business.

Today was a special day, with the aim to get JJ52's 3000th find. We set off early in the morning with a bit of a plan and hoped to get as many of Gawler's caches as we could. At the end of the day I had 32 finds and 2 DNF's, experienced my 4th visit to Gawler Fort Knox and found an old (original) MIA cache that had long ago been replaced!
Solved this in the week leading up to today, & we made a quickish find in about the 5th place we checked.

Ismartis and I headed to Gawler today, somewhere I had not done any caching and I was on my way to number 3000 so it was a good opportunity to see some different country and earmark a special cache for my milestone. We set off with a rough plan of the caches we would try and find and ended up having a really good day with 34 finds and 2 DNF's for me. [^]

I would have missed this spot entirely if not for the cache, thanks for showing me this interesting location. The other interesting thing about this spot is that I found 2 caches here about 20 meters apart - the wrong one first which made me wonder why it was so empty when others had 'supposedly found it', but I also realized it was a nano not a preform so I was probably looking in the wrong spot.
I can't work out where this other cache has come from - doesn't seem to be listed elsewhere - but I signed it anyway!

After a very pleasant nights stay in Gawler we were heading off to the Yorke Peninsula picking up caches along the way.
Who would have thought that something we learnt in boy scouts would come in handy so many years later.
The best part was that we hardly had to use google so perhaps there's hope for the old brains yet. Today was the first day that we have had to get to gz and we quite enjoyed this area as well, none of the residents took any notice of us either.
