As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
Came out here to finish off some Xmas shopping and get a cache for my 50 day streak. Gz has been tidied up no cache insight. Now to find another cache.....
Nice day to be out geocaching. The cache was quickly in hand thanks to the detailed hint. TFTC.
The start of a new Geo License Challenge... Gap (of Fap and Gap) and I are on the trail of a variety of cache types, sizes, and difficulty and terrain ratings. Staying dry is also going to be a challenge... It looks likd the rain is going to be a feature for most of the day...
It was very quiet at ground zone... It took some minutes to apply the hint as we searched the most obvious places. A further reach around and the cache was in hand. It was very wet inside and needed a good tidy up. TFTC.

Another day on the road with the Squirrel and back to South Auckland to see how many caches we can claim.
1.25pm - Soon found hole, cache a bit damp but still able to sign. SLTFTC

We weren't able to get this one last time we were in the area, nearly two years ago, as someone was sitting far too close.
Steed hopped out and retrieved this one quickly, bringing it back to the car. I opened it, but it was full of water! I tipped it into the gutter and dried it out. Fortunately the log is waterproof, so no damage done.

School holiday road trip out of Auckland brought us to Pukekohe. Initially headed towards wrong plaque but a quick about turn got us on track. Not sure how long one of the plaques at GZ has been missing but definitely not to much to read at present moment. Thankfully very few muggles around so retrieval was speedy. TFTC
Mr HeMaLuDy and Purply were in Pukekohe for a dental appointment. With 1 hour to fill in while a retainer was made we decided to get a couple of caches. This was a easy find using the information in the hint. TFTC
In the area for work. Had a few minutes spare. Quick find on a Monday morning.
Can the co please log the tb in this cache as missing.

Out and about this afternoon looking to collect some caches after work. Parked up right next to GZ and soon hand my hands on the goods. After completing the formalities I had to time my return effort due to passing muggles. I haven't been in the town hall for nearly three decades. Anyway, cheers for the hide!
Nice find on a sunny day! Took a few minutes cause I thought I'd try without my gps... But ended up at the wrong plaque! Thanks for the cache!
High traffic area at 1045 am. Even patrolling security staff. Cache safely found , signed and repleaced
Early in the morning when there was nobody around nice KH look in good order thank you for the experience
Drove for 40 mins to find a new area for geocaching area. Had breaky at Kaos (3/5). Dropped geocoin that I've had for a year (sorry!!) Tftc
First find after a big breakfast. Drove here from Auckland to go geocaching. Tftc
Found late at night in the rain, so muggles were not an issue for us. The descriptive hint ensured a quick find. Thanks for the placement.
Needed the hint and kids to help reach... great spot and good one to do when not to many muggles about
Having 5 pairs of eyes (out with the family and merlot47), the clue and a delayed signal on the phone made for an amusing couple of minutes finding that there are a number of plaques in this meeting place with this one the most hidden from the approach we took, once in the right place a quick find. Its like hugging a big rock and thanks we had some small and nimble feet around otherwise my long arms would have some difficulty reaching it.
The vandalism caused by the pathetic excuse's of human beings that think it is acceptable to steal brass monument pieces particularly items commemorating the fallen men and women who gave there lives so that we can all enjoy the peace and life style that we take for granted, utterly dismays me.
To make it worse that cache had been muggled but container and log found together and returned after signing.

We were in Pukekohe for a visit, but I could only stop for one while the troops got restless. XNSL. TFTC.
Out in Puke, having coffee nearby and hobbled out for a quick grab. I sprained my ankle last night so the 65m to the cache was harder than normal.
Introduced a few newbies to geocaching. I think they're hooked.
Find #608. Thanks for the cache. 9/08/2014 10:04

Second attempt at this one, the first time there were too many people around to reach in without looking weird!
Had a bit of time to kill before the V8s started so thought I'd grab a few local caches. This one sounded easy given that it was a pretty quiet morning. Took a while to realise that my arms wouldn't be long enough and I'd need to climb up a bit. Found easily after that. TFTC
On our way out of Pukekohe, just a couple more before heading to Clarks Beach, nice easy find, tftc

Found on my way from Auckland to Rotorua.
No problems.
Sorry for the late log. This is one of many founds during my four week visit to NZ.
The date here may differ from the one in the log book, both could be a day off from actual log date.

I did have long arms but was short of a pen so couldnt and didnt sign the log... found with the short armed wendythebean... tftc
did this one at 5.30am no muggles about at this time but still was looking at the wrong plaque, found after 5 minutes
Wow - thats a good one but did need long arms. NT spotted it but not easy to be discrete with this one. Good cache.
Replaced cache in same spot. Please push back in hole and cover with vegetation otherwise it can be seen from behind now that the bush has been trimmed.
Cache has been muggled. Found open and empty container nearby. Returned to its presumed home, but it has no logbook.
Oh not again. Thanks for the update on a muggle visit. Will leave this disabled for a while as once found the muggles will be back for another raid. Cheers.
Collected this before my daughter's soccer game at a nearby park. Only muggles driving past. Great description. My arms weren't quite long enough, but reached after a bit of a stretch. TFTC
Lucky not too many muggles today due to the chilly weather. Nice hide carefully replaced in its hiding spot TFTC.
Stopped on the way home to feed little baby, ChocSpotMadness hopped out and found this super easy.... I didn't get to see it but hey, I was there, so it counts!
Fun times... Felt very weird hanging around, reading the plaque... pretending to be texting lol.. Coast clear? YES! Log book was wet after yesterday's torrential rain. Pushed the container in as far as it would go. TFTC
Thought we had found this one but then realised not the "cache" and not the "hidey hole"!!
Soon had it in hand and on our way!

Very easy find with such a great clue and i was glad as the rain started to come down, TFTC.
TFTC, SL. A bit trickier than it first appeared, got there in the end though. 2 of 3, after a later start than planned due to a young daughter who wouldn't go to sleep. Left Grandparents in charge.
Please can you tuck this back in its little hole on the right side of the rock at ground level. You will need to reach with long arms. Dont throw it back in as next finder wont be able to reach it.
Yes another comment from the same cacher. You can reach easily if its put back where its meant to be and not just thrown back in. There is a little hole on the right side easily reached. Nearly every cahe of ours has had a fault finding comment from you.

The final day of traveling around NZ in campervan convoy with Pprass, our camping spot for tonight is locked in as the clean up must be done before returning the vans tomorrow morning. We felt as if we were under surveillance here some of the crew moved away a bit to try and create a diversion while others searched for the well secreted cache.
NOTE TO CO: We wonder if the difficulty rating should be a bit higher given the continual flow of muggles (see your cache notes and cache log by emainwood on 23/09/12) as well as the need for elastic arms if one is not to "Stand on the garden".
TNLN . . SL . . Thanks for the hunt thejaybees.

Found at 12:47 PM GAFF3 in the company of Phetlern. We tried to be discrete, but in the end we just had to jump in - no one has arms that long!
Thanks thejaybees
Thanks thejaybees
No one of interest too close to GZ so I was able to examine it at leisure, reached round and found the cache nice and quick. TFTC, Biggles.
Came back at a quieter time and managed to grab the cache in between passing cars. Tftc.
Couldn't find this quickly enough and was muggled before I had a chance to investigate further. I'll be back.
Quick find before having to see my first client of the day, the local hair dressers have left the cache exposed so pushed it back into its nest, TFTC
Some rotten person has in fact stolen some of the brass plaques so beware if you are looking suspicious around this area as the RSA people and police are waiting to see who the robbers are..............better not be you that is blamed.
