Well it was Canberra Geobash Mega time and after spending 6 fun filled but very tiring days up there on the Mega site and also around the ACT area it is time to start heading home.Canberra put on some fantastic weather for us and there was plenty of things to see and do over all of the days that I was there.I dont think that I even scratched the surface on all of the caches on offer. After leaving Canberra nice and early yesterday to do a CITO and then to Wagga Wagga to do the PUB series I eventually made it to Culcairn for the night.Up nice and early again this morning with the aim of getting to Beechworth for the night but there is still a bit to do between here and there.Reaching the outskirts of Albury and after a walk around the Ettamogah Pub for a Lab I decided I needed some Budgie bottoms and tops.Parked the Geocruiser and went off l went looking for this one.Cache was soon located and now for the tops. Thanks DazRascal TFTMC.
I had tried to find the container at the posted coordinates many times but this was always after I couldnt find Budgie tops so I usually gave up pretty quickly. After finally locating Budgie tops I felt I could do anything including finding this multi . and find it I did. The last signature in the log was April last year. Logbook and cache container in great condition. Thank you DazRascal for placing and maintaining Budgie Bottoms for us to find today.
On our way to Canberra Mega, decided to spend a few days in Albury as we cache our way to 4000 caches. Beautiful morning to be caching. Saw heaps of big room from GZ. Tftc
Today we had a long day, moved from Tatura lunch & a break at Ettamogah Pub before finally setting at Tarcutta for the night. Not a lot of caches but what we did find were very good. This was a great way to visit the area,Thanks DazRascal for hiding this cache.
Today is a multi dot-day, so for our last cache for the day we headed here. Took a while to find the first cache. After that it was easy. Nice and dry inside, as these caches are wont to be, and nice to see the CO has installed an inner container. OUtstanding. Nice ares, but too tired to explore further.
Found during an awesome 10 day Aussie trip, centered around the Rutherglen Mega event. Log signed as NZBITS, for NZ_B, Itchyfeet2020 and the Seagnoid.

Gosh there were some big ants with yellow/orange middles at GZ -fire ants perhaps.
They did not stop us as we eventually found the container with necessary information - great way to keep the information from being affected by water.
The final was found -everything dry inside.
This is our last full day in Australia and we are on our way to Rutherglen to stay overnight before catching our rather early flight to Sydney tomorrow morning.
We came to attend the mega in Rutherglen, as well as find the geo art and lots of caches. We had to be flexible because the weather wasn’t good on a couple of days and that helped us. We have done more than we planned and we now have two days where we are finding caches that look interesting or have high favourite points or take us to certain places.
Found with Itchyfeet2020 and the Seagnoid -signed as NZBITS. We are one group of several kiwis over here for the Rutherglen Mega at Easter. It’s going to great with so many sessions of things I want to learn about. PLUS so many caches to find.
Kia ora rawa atu for the cache DazRascal.

NZ_B, the Seagnoid and I are here from NZ on our next geo adventure @ Rutherglen Mega. Today is Day 10 and our last. While at the Ettamagoh Pub, the Seagnoid declared it a multi dot day - he does this every so often - so off we came to the nearest multi. Took a bit to find WP1 as it was on the ground, disguised by long grass and some big ants. Replaced where we thought and on to GZ for a great container. Logs are being signed as NZBITS for NZ_B, Itchyfeet2020 and The Seagnoid. TFTC.
Last day of a midweek Victoria trip. Great caching and lots of driving. Found superb camping spots along the Murray.

TFTC. We are on an enforced layover in Albury/Wodonga while the MH undergoes some repairs. While out in the are we spotted this multi. We were a little dubious but persisted in a search. As it was it should not have taken us that long to find WP1. Once that was sorted we quickly grabbed the cache and signed the log.
Took a second look and the long long grass made us wary but don’t you love the thrill of that bingo moment! We wandered over to GZ and scared some unhealthy looking bunnies. Out and about with weirdobiker focusing on a clutch of caches solved over the last few months while my geomobile gets serviced. This multi helps the multi mission and coming here is a plus. TFTC and I think it’s called FUN
It was a lovely day and there was a lot of water laying around so we headed this way to try and see if we could get a view of how extensive the water is. Found what was needed at both places. Thank for the cache and bringing us here.
An awesome day to be out.
Grass is long, so wary of snakes.
Glad to report no snakes or magpies.

What a great setup with a lovely big cache full of swaps. We really liked the effort put into this one. Thanks for bringing us to this beautiful spot. All dry and safe TFTC
Thanks to a hint from the cache owner, I was able to locate wp1 and got the coordinates for the cache which, after a short walk, was successfully located. Thanks for your help and the cache DazRascal.
Nice little spot if i had more time i would like to climb up to the top. Left TB. Tftc
Thanks DazRascal for an interesting multi. Reg and l tried this one before as TeamOZCAT, but we could not locate wp1, but we were lucky today. Actually, we don't understand how we missed it the first time. All good today, and the cache was found in good condition.
As Karen mentions, we tried this one before as TeamOZCAT, but we could not locate wp1, but we were lucky today. Little aid from a friend. Thanks Daz.
I parked at GZ and after a long search I finally found the sneaky hide for the coordinates.
My geo dog and i had a lovely short walk to GZ and quickly found the cache. TFTC

South NSW trip February 2021. Day 1. Fitzy_1965 joined me for a two day jaunt to Albury and the area to the West north of the River. We covered a lot of ground, but as we have done a lot of caching between home and there it has become the next area to spend caching time. There was a variety of caches scattered around, but the most interesting section was Monday morning spent in the Quatta Reserve, quite a few challenging caches and a wasp sting to remember it by.
It was fun to try for a few different cache types today and although the first WP was quite a challenge to find, it was there, just needed a good close look. A short walk to GZ and a much easier find.
Thanks for the cache DazRascal

23,610. Found during a caching run to break-in albida33's brand new Geomobile.
With a brand new Geomobile to test out, albida33 and I headed down the Hume cherry-picking caches filling in many gaps on our maps. Next stop for the day. Took a few minutes of looking but then - at the right angle - the container was spotted. With GZ in hand we headed off, and once we were there it was a quick find. Signed the log, replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next one on our list.
Thanks DazRascal !!

As we are visiting Albury for the day, we grabbed this one while in the area.
Another interesting puzzle that we solved some time ago.
Many thanks for placing this cache, DazRascal, for us and others to find.

A 2 day trip with ZQX to Albury and Wagga Wagga, focusing on some higher D/T caches. I DNF'd this cache a year ago, so was keen to avenge it. We dropped by last night but were unable to find WP1. We contacted the CO for a hint, as we would be passing again this morning. Thankfully he obliged, and this morning the WP1 container was found. A short stroll later the log was being signed. TFTC.

Had a good look around, more experienced people have dnf ,so we don't feel to bad.
Challenging, persisted, clever. Accomplished, Yeah!! Both caches in good condition. Tftc
I thought I gave this a good thorough search, but couldn't find anything at the first waypoint.
I did catch a beautiful sunset though.

Places to cache in the ACT were limited due to the total fire ban, so I decided to do a road trip to the Ettamogah Pub and back. I departed at 0800 and arrived home at 2000. This was the fourth stop. Spent a good 25 minutes proding and poking but no sign of WP1.

Looked and walked and looked a bit more and walked little more and then a little snake slithered out of the log I was behind, freaked me out, was heading for TOC and then changed direction. Keen to leave this location. OCW Throsbyonchurch and DustyJasperJet. TFTC

Checked cache today and all is still in place as it has always been.
Not sure why only 2 DNFs is a reasonable cause for a reviewer to disable a cache.
Have now upped the difficulty rating because you do actually have to look for it and doesn’t just jump out at you when you arrive (it’s a standard size and shape bison containing the last 3 digits of South and East), and you may even need a small extraction tool such as a twig or paperclip fashioned into a hook to reach the ring pull on the bison to make it easier, as I did when I checked it.
Cache container at Gz is also fine (ammo can)

This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache.
If you plan on repairing this cache, please log a note to the cache (not email) within the next 28 days so I don't archive the listing for non-communication.

Another go at this one and again no success. Did find a small plastic bag with a deck of mini playing cards but nothing else. This was about 25 mtrs from where the GPS was saying WP1 should be, so not certain if any connection.
I couldn't find WP1 after a good search. Anyway, I went up and logged the trig.
I have looked for waypoint 1 a couple of times, with the last time I was surprisingly muggled out.. after a busy day at work and the sun shining I bought muggle Mr S along for the find.. With waypoint one located it was off for a quick afternoon stroll.. cache found, log signed, tb picked up and cache returned as found.. a fav point from us..
A tricky little multi to start our afternoon of caching fun in NSW. Soon had WP1 sussed and headed to GZ. Found our favourite cache container and SL at 12.29pm Took: alien figure Left: Around The world TB #5333 TFTC DazRascal - will leave the Tops for another visit.
Had a quick look before heading to my main aim at the top of the hill. After the DNF there I had a much harder look to get one for the day. GPS kept leading me back to the same spot and after about ten minutes a theme developed and I eventually spied the little fellow. Extracting it was more difficult and at one stage when I got up to find an appropriate tool, there was a nice sized brown snake heading my way (glad I had the geohound in the car by then). Eventually got it worked and the coordinates and quickly had the cache found and log signed. Had been very close to this one on my descent but didn’t quite look in the right spot. Nice little challenge and a good little hide for WP1 - TFTC.
I had looked for this one 12 months ago with no success. Yesterday CO was able to change my perception and I found the sneaky WP1 hide then a short walk to GZ. Very pleased to have a smiley for this one! SL TFTC
I tried for this one, a week ago and I was disappointed when I couldn't find it. I had to ask the CO for some advice and he said, right spot, right idea, just keep looking.
I went back this week and after a little bit more looking I finally got the little blighter. It was surprisingly easy to find and kicking myself was definitely high on the list of things to do. Great hide so far and exactly what caching should be.
The cache itself was great size and great condition and when I startled the fox near gz I'm not sure who jumped higher.
Thanks Dazrascal for the cache and the help.

Well what can I say.....I must be blind! The first time we searched for this, we spent way to long looking only to come up empty handed......today....not even 2mins....really, I can't believe we missed it the first time! WP1 is most definitely there.
Thanks for bringing us here...again...it really is a wonderful spot!

Indianagleeson suggested we have a little look while we had time that kill and reluctantly I agreed, looked for about 5 minutes and Indianagleeson calls out "are you kidding me?!" Yep! Wp1 was definitely there, and by the look of it had been there all along, quick calculation and had cache in hand!

The first day was from Canberra to Holbrook, with only a handful of cache finds. We just wanted to get some distance done before the final drive the following day. We passed a small group of Comanchero bikies on the way down the Hume and didn;t think much of it. However it turns out they were staying that night at the same pub in Holbrook. They were no trouble, but they chatted way into the night & then started again early Friday morning.
Friday was the bug distance day with my first finds in Victoria and then a total of 50 for the day. Some very interesting locations, particularly around Geelong where I have never been before. Friday night we had dinner with the ACT Geocachers at the Anglesea golf club.
The weather so far has been perfect, but the forecast is not so good. Looking forward to my first day of the real Mega events tomorrow.
Didn't find this one. The first stage was missing.

We spent a fair while here, looking first for WP1, and then for GZ, seeing others have had success with that... But no success for us today. Maybe next time. Maybe the CO coould check on WP1? Thanks anyway DR.
The Budgie's were a mighty struggle for us today with only 1 of the 2 caches found and that was a nightmare! After failing to locate WP1 we headed up tops.
Out in the area caching today and came to this one, well we looked and looked in every spot we could think of, Pprime was with us and he had found this one previously, he also looked for WP1 when we gave up and couldn't find it where he had found it previously. Gave us some hints and with what is in the listing we managed to find the lovely cache.
Log signed 4B's to include Landyman123, Pinkducks, Legoman9494 and myself.
All in good order, thanks for the cache!!

Teed up with TheClazzas to hunt down a couple of caches with 10+ favourite points to earn us a souvenir today. These were the closest to home & been unfound for too long. Parked opposite WP1 & with 4 kids spent far too long looking for the coords. The kids were halfway up the hill when we decided to give up & just have a bit of a look around. Pleased to say we found it pretty quickly. SL, kids made some swaps, returned as found & then headed upwards to find the trig. Tftc.
After searching for some time we couldn't find the waypoint so we set out in search of the cache. After searching the likely spots nearby Wackyweedos managed to find it.
We found it!

Spotted the guys before me looking for this one and after they found it, I decided to try again, for the 3rd time. Looked for WP1 for about half an hour and then decided like many others to just wing it and look for the real deal, about 20mins later and I found it! TFTC!
Loved this one. Way point 1 took close to 45 minutes. With shoes full of grass seeds and my appointment in town getting ever closer I was getting desperate. Read logs. Did they help?! Unsure. The wp suddenly was found. GZ was found quickly and I was on my way. Fav point for nice wp1. TFTC.
Lost count of the number of visits I had looking for this one. More than I should have had if I had been a bit more careful looking for WP1. Today with Nacspaceman in tow we ventured forth again and arrived at GZ sure we would succeed. After a while glumness settled again and we were doubting our sanity - then - what the .... how could we miss that? What a good hide, and worth a favourite for the pain it caused me. With the coordinates in the trusty Magellan, it was off to the cache and sign the log. TFTC DazRascal.
Back for another look with Geo-Pop. He reckons he knows where it is - so why haven't we found it? Just as we were getting fed up, a break though and we were holding wp1. With GZ now known off we went and the lovely, big cache was soon found. This has been a lot of fun and frustration, but that's what makes for a good day. TFTC DazRascal and a favourite from me.
After spending waaaayyy too many hours searching for this one we've had to have a pause in precedings. We 'll be back again with fresh eyes and ideas.
Wow, second time around searching for WP1 without luck. Today we decided to search without knowing the co-ords and after about 15 minutes had struck hit the jackpot. Found with Bluewattle & Fit02, TFTC
Had no luck with WP1after 2 attempts and almost 2 hours and after reading past logs decided to find it on spec. Every tree, log, hole and crevice was searched with fine detail. 'GOT IT' was yelled, wah hoo. Found with Snickersallan, Fit02 and buddy
Cach prize found however waypt1 searched for 2 hours four people no find but log signed at gz
This had me scratching my head on a wet chilly afternoon, about to give up then noticed something not right, now how to retrieve it, found a tool for the job, collect the info for GZ off I went in the long wet grass and a quick find was had, the cache was well hidden and dry. TFTC gets favorite for location and the tricky WP1

Back in town for a visit with my parents after having last been here a year ago, and today is caching day. [^] Out and about early and next up was this one. Arrived at GZ and set about searching for the WP. Nada. Like so many others I found this wp so very difficult to find. Finally decided to give up as the day was getting on and I wanted to try so many others in the area. One last look around as I was leaving ... and oh hey, what is that? OK, for those playing at home the coordinates are pretty good - I was perhaps a metre away but that's totally within range. It's a sneaky hide, although exactly what I had - sort of - imagined it would be. OK, new destination. Not so hard afterall. Great hide. Excellent wp1.

I was on my way home from Culcairn and read the cache description telling me this was "nice and easy".
I wasted more time than I'd care to admit to searching for the first container before PAF'ing... and had my eyes not been painted on I should really have managed to find it myself! Once it was extracted and the next location locked in, I took a lovely stroll to GZ and found the spiders had been doing their hardest to try and seal the container shut for all eternity - and after scraping away all the webbing from the locking mechanism I finally got it open.
TFTC, the walk, and the shameful exposure of my cache blindness.

ewe arrived here earlier in the day and despite quite some time spent searching were unsuccessful in discovering WP1 so we head on with our heads down. Later we met up with some other cachers who gave us a little hint, so back down the road we went for attempt number 2, we were successful this time. We entered the final coordinates and made our way to GZ where the cache was located soon after. This is another great spot and we shall return again soon to have another go up the top.

spent a bit to much time on this one tracks leading every wich way but still could not find the first part have to have a re think but will be back still it was a lovely spot
Fantastic day to be out and about finding some caches so the geodaughter Grace and I attempted this one. Had a little bit of difficulty finding WP1 but after a short search we were soon on the way to GZ. There are some awesome views from this area and it is so peaceful and serene. Nice spot for the hide and it is always good to find these robust containers. SL at 10.40am. TNLN. TFTC DazRascal. Might attempt "Tops" solo another day. Cheers.
Went to have a look for WPT1 but to no avail.
Followed the geo trails up the hill to have a quick look but still no cache!
Maybe a CO check up? Also wth the terrain and difficulty rating, it shouldn't be that hard.

This cache was one of the many grabbed on my 4 day trip to the OzMega Event. We arrived on Friday at midday and left at Midday on Monday and cached between when we where not socializing with other teams. This trip was also a shakedown for a new tent trailer we had purchased for camping. Besides the bike rack breaking on my trailer on the way up it all went well. PT539 also got a similar trailer to mine. He had trouble with his water tank.

This was the final day of the Easter weekend which yeilded me 5 days of caching and found 83 for my efforts along with many involved in the H&H Mega event challenge. This was the culmination of what was the best weekend of caching to date on this my 162 day of continual caching.
#21 of 22 for the day and after getting a couple of icons it was time to add another 2 to the list with this and the budgie tops to round out my day of caching. This was the only Multi for the day as due to lack of preperation I did not have any printed to do so this one was printed earlier and had it still in the geobag so it was the perfect way to round out my day and it was an easy find for both WP1 and GZ as the geotrail was well worn from the numerous visitors that had been here over the last 4-6 days.
Thanks for a great spot DazRascal.

This was one of about 20ish finds for the day.. One of about 100 finds for the long weekend which also ticked off an epic night cache, 2 DT/P81 combos as well as a whole lot of favourites.. caught up with a bunch of mates as well as making new ones.. Thanks Team Oz Mega for all your efforts creating a great weekend.. I found this one with the hordes after the FlashMob.. Along with Family Josie and Jim we decided to head up here for a find after C@H suggested it was worth the effort.. mission accomplished... Thanks for the cache and find # 2369
Found during Oz Mega, with The Sock Man. 2.32pm. He also did Budgie's Top, I just looked at the hill and stayed down the bottom, a bit too steep for me!
Find number 4 of day 3 at the Albury - Wodonga 2012 Mega Event. LouiseAnn and I had a brilliant Easter Weekend at this event. A huge thanks to the organisers and all of the local geocache owners who’s caches never failed to impress us. Today was our second day of caching for the event and we were keen to get out and find caches in the area. With a general plan to travel around completing the Hume and Hovell Challenge we had a later start today, heading to the flash mob event at the Kinnross Hotel to start the day. We had only planned to find the puzzle cache atop the hill here, but we met some fellow cachers on our way up who told us that the clue for this cache was missing and pointed us in the direction of the cache, so we picked this one up on the way back down. As we headed back to the car we saw some other cachers hunting for the clue, so LouiseAnn walked down to them to advise pass on the favour of the cache location while I went and collected the car. Thanks for the cache DazRascal.

Found at 14-32 with diddysmum during our OZ Mega visit
After I returned from Budgie Tops, DM and I went in search for WP1. Couldn't find it anywhere.
A group of cachers also returning from up the hill informed us the clue had disappeared. They pointed us in the approximate direction and said "somewhere over there".
Somewhere over there, we found it.
As we were about to leave, another small group arrived. DM and I thought we should pass on the favour and help them out with WP1. Imagine everyones surprise when they didn't know what the hell we were talking about. They were muggles going for a hike up the hill. We explained what it was all about and now I think we have a couple of geocaching converts.
