On a weekend adventure with Heidi the Himalayan, my ADV bike.
Found! Log is quite damp, but was still able to sign

This was yet another super quick find as it was a bit exposed, so re-hid it a little better so it hopefully doesn’t wander off like the puzzle cache. Thanks Skindo for another great cache hide, in an awesome area. TFTC

Wow this log goes back to 2011
There is some sure geocaching history right there ️️️

We had just completed the “Wairarapa Moana” Ad Lab and were picking up some traditional caches following that. Found this one reasonably quickly. #5572. TFTC.
while down in the lower wairarapa we took a trip out to ocean beach not having been there before. we past this on our way and left it until our return journey to be on the correct side of the road. the hint made the find very easy and it was soon signed and we were on our way .
This is the closest we will ever get to the luxury lodge! Cache was a quick find in the obvious place. TFTC
My family and I were going off for a trip for the weekend down and around the area so during the weekend I thought it would be a good idea to find a few geocaches and get myself up to 500.
Before going to the pinnacles today, we checked out this beach for a little bit and quickly stopped to find this cache. Half the family got out to find it, so, naturally, the geocache only took seconds to find. Very nice beach. TFTC!!

Nice quick find while in the area for Wellington Anniversary weekend. The beach was very busy but quiet here. TFTC.
Support local! So we stayed in the lodge and it was one hell of an awesome experience!!!
The cache is very wet, soaked and not singable so I had to take a photo log ...

#7959. After weeks of COVID19 lock downs and restricted regional travel, it was great to be back out on the road and doing some geocaching once again. I picked up Barefootguru and Infoferret and we headed over the hill to mop up a few straggler caches left behind in the southern Wairarapa after various past road trips in this area. The weather was a rather bleak and cold late autumn day with chilly fresh winds from the south and a few skiffs of light rain/drizzle at times.
Interesting landscapes in this valley and the nearby coast. Quite rugged and not a place to be during a tsunami. Closest I have seen to it is the area west of Owhiro Bay in Wellington. The cache was soon found by IF while I was checking the opposite end of the object! Logsheet was all good. Signed and replaced as found. Thanks for the cache skindo.

Leaving this lodge after a very nice two day stay. (I am not a star in anyone’s book, not even by geocaching standards.) of course I had to stop for this one, which was a very quick find with no Muggles anywhere. TFTC!
On return leg from interesting bach community. Cache had rolled away, rehid adjacent to hint. Cheers skindo!
An easy find in a lovely location. No stars spotted going to/from Wharekauhau, sadly. TFTC Skindo!
(# 5182). A day trip to the 'Rapa. Decided to go around the lake. This was a short side excursion as I have never been in this area. A quick find. Everything in order. TFTC
Two locations matched the hint. The cache was, of course, at the other one!

Damp inside here but log good A pleasant shady spot on what is just a regular 'warm' Wairarapa day TFTC
Spent the weekend at Corner Creek (not at the lodge), and collected some caches on the trip home. Probably the closest we'll get to staying at the lodge is collecting this cache. TFTC
Nice easy park and grab. Close to the super expensive Wharekauhau Lodge, which we didn’t stay at....went around to Ocean Beach instead. Very cool place. TFTC
Last time we had no luck here as the cache seemed to have migrated. However now it is back in its rightful place it was a quick find for us today. The lodge looks like a blight on the landscape - a pity they didn't try and make it blend in rather than look like a house Donald Trump would live in. I guess money can't buy taste ........
Quick find where all good at GZ. Thanks for another smilie

After a bit of a wider search it was found under the base of the tree. Cleaned log sheet and put it in a clean plastic bag and replace as per the hint. Tftc
Weird - seemed obvious where it should be but no luck for us today. Wind was howling and rain pouring so after about 5 min decided to call it quits but will check it out next time we are in this area in case we just didn't look hard enough.
Found with Diziet on a beautiful day. Container was pretty wet on the inside, but log is okay. TFTC
Day two of a two-day caching trip in southern Wairarapa. With staying the night here at Corner Creek Camp, an early morning find on my out. Thanks skindo for the cache.
Cycling the Rimutaka cycle trail and caching with trampingkiwi.
Day 2, Corner creek camp to Cross creek. A very windy day! Head wind most of the day.
A quick find before tackling the hill! TFTC!

Collecting as many caches as possible on our three days on the Rimutaka Cycle Trail. After a blustery ride along from Cross Creek, time to head inland. Found with Lilywyte. TFTC
We stayed in near here for a few days over the school holidays. We did a bit of biking and will becoming back here to bike more of the Rimutaka Bike Trail along the coast. The cache was out in the open, but all tidy and dry. Thanks for this cache in a beautiful area.
Collecting a few caches while over in the Wairarapa.

Decided to go for a spontaneous car trip with LCBuilder and the geodogs. Going where the caches take us and sleeping where ever we were when the sun went down. This was as far as we went along this road. Easy find, all in good order, TFTC
Found on our way out from the DOC site at the beach. Log is very wet so signed the other piece of paper in there! Thanks!

Easy find when driving round the southern Wairarapa, don't think we will ever stay here
A place I've always wanted to go for lunch but never quite got there due to the long drive to get there and budget not quite being up to the helicopter ride. Found on day 2 of a biking excursion with Belmont scouts.
Last time I was here I couldn't attempt a search as there were a couple of quad-bikes with pigs. This time we were on another of our annual Scout bike rides around the Big Coast via the Rimutaka Incline. This was day two, and we had ridden about 20-or-so km so far. Geocaching leaders took the time to search for this one, and cache was quickly found.

Found on Scout bike ride around the coast. Several of the hint objects in one place. TFTC
Found on day 2 of a 2 day Scout/Venturers bike ride over the Incline and around the Wairarapa Coast with Metal-art, Jax479, Zathrash and CaligulaNZ. TFTC
This took us much longer than it should have and then we had to resist driving up the private ? Road above. No 7
An adventure to the Wild Coast track. Found on the way.
Easy to understand why the many of the visitors to Wharekauhau Lodge arrive by air.
Nice straightforward and easy find on this one.
All in order, log signed; cache safely re-hidden, just as found.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too
The Turtle strikes again!

#18 Really the hint couldn't be more correct. I was just expecting a different orientation.
I left with the geokids early this morning for my first foray into skindoland, on an attempt to qualify for the 100,10,7 challenge in one day. Unfortunately I did not achieve this (but qualified with my previous few days' finds). All in all, I achieved my best day's hunting, collecting 61 traditionals, 20 mystery caches including 4 challenge caches, and one virtual. Many thanks to all the cache owners and players who make this game/hobby what it is (and apologies for the copy and paste).
Cache # 1,698 - and now I know where this world-famous lodge actually is. Quick find on the cache. Did with Violet Butterfly and Astro Hunter on our drive towards Ocean Beach campground - which we didn't make as our vehicle is not 4WD. TNLNSL. TFTC!
Did the one around the coast first then back to this one a great spot many thanks
Out in the Wairarapa with Etherlord and the Etherkids on day two of an Attack on Skindo's Translation Puzzles weekend. Another find by EtherTheo, he is starting to be pretty good at this. This is as far south as we are going. i would like to do the rest along Ocean beach bu the main reason for this trip is the translations - got to get back to them. We'll come back for these again sometime.
cache 22 on day two of Etherlord and the Seagnoid's almost-100-cache-"Attack on Skindo's Puzzles" weekend in the Wairarapa. #67 for me

Nice hide, though the hint may be misleading some...almost me until I decided further attention was required. Helicopter took off over top as I signed the log.

No luck for me here today. Got covered in dust but didn't uncover the cache.
From other logs it should have been easy pezzy

Quick find. Didn't have time (and too cold) for the caches further along so will need to come back another day for them. TFTC
I found the cache exactly where I expected it to be. It's good that my understanding of this place's name has been corrected. For some reason, I thought it was Wharekaukau.
Out for another adventure in skindoland which incuded a loop of the lake as well as a mystery tour. The container was almost buried but I still found it fairly quickly. The shingle cliffs across the river are quite cool. This was my turn around point today so I will return to do the rest of the caches past here on another ocasion. TFTC
Nearly missed it as it was rather buried. Whats that great monstrosity at the end of this road??? TFTC
8754 Great location for a cache, our first visit to this part of the coastline, TFTC.
Found this cache with Kiwi Explorer on a most enjoyable and productive three day caching raid in the Wairarapa. Apologies in advance for the rather template state of this log. We found over 200 caches in our visit which has left me with rather vague and blurred memories of some of them. Anything that really stood out will get a special mention. very nicely hidden and quite hard to find. Glad we didn't give up on it. Had to look really intensely interested in the area while we waited for a 4WD that stopped halfway up the hill opposite to lose interest in us. TFTC, Biggles.
Found while touring the district with Biggles. Almost didn't find it but Biggles came up with a good find on a now well camoed cache. Thanks.
