Have been thinking about doing this for a while now. With a new Gourmet AdLab in place at Milawa I feel it is the right time to archive the Gourmet Series. Thanks to the many finders over the years.
The river is running fast and high today. Cache removed.

A lovely little place to visit, 1st one for the day. Now onto the next one for the day. TFTC
Travelled from Geelong to Milawa for a quick Easter break. Went to Yackandandah and Beechworth Saturday for a look around and went to the Beechworth easter festival. Out for a morning walks watching the hot air balloons over the vines. Today we are exploring the Woolshed falls and then over to Lake Hume. This was a nice quick find. Now off to enjoy another beautiful day. TFTC
Found with goingplaces2 while staying in the area. No problem in locating the container and the log was signed. TFTC.
Out on a caching run with ilook4geo and not doing too much on another hot day. We had no difficulty in finding this cache and all was put back into place after the signing duties were done. Thanks for adopting and maintaining this cache go to BettyBoo3747.
Our final day in Wangaratta after attending the recent Mega.
We had intended to hit the trails by bike but although the day was cooler, it was still quite muggy and we haven't ridden much lately. Another time!
So we headed out in the car and worked on a variety of caches. Some from the rail trail and others in surrounding areas. Again we came across a variety of caches.
Our thanks to Geocaching Victoria for organizing the Mega and to local cachers that have given us so many to look for. We've got plenty more to do, so we'll be back!
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache BettyBoo3747.

Camped across the road last night with my sister Nakarra_L after attending the mega in Wangaratta, it was busy, but a great place to camp because the river was right there, and it was hot and humid. In the drizzle this morning we found the cache with no problem.
Found today with Bucketeer and Kellmik while out and about on the Mega Wang.

Day 2 of my Mega trip after camping out at Pioneer Creek last night I woke up early to go out and get as many caches before it starts to heat up. Caching from there moving towards beechworth then headed back toward Wangaratta where I will cache throughout the afternoon. Eitherways thanks for the cache and being a part of the day.

Today was Day 2 of our Alpine roadtrip, aiming for Bright, Falls Creek and Mt Hotham...
After camping overnight at a gorgeous location just over the road, Heymissjo and I decided we were grabbing this smiley once we'd packed up and were ready to hit the road again.
It was to be the quintessential drive by. But as we pulled out of the campground and gently drove the 100m to GZ, we were unexpectedly cut off by Mr Muggle, who suddenly pull into that area at speed - right there, right then - for a brazen convenience break!!
Fortunately, no caches were harmed in the telling of this story!
Thanks to purple dreamer and BettyBoo3747

Usually when I go on road trips with The Welder, we find a campsite well after midnight, set up in the dark and don’t get to enjoy the tranquility of the location. But yesterday was different. We have had a big few weeks and so, we took the opportunity to set up early, in daylight and enjoy the serenity. As The Welder set up the swag by the Ovens river, I cooked up some tea and poured some wine. With camp chairs set, fire lit…. We watched the sun go down and the sky fill with stars. Despite the cool air, the swag was warm. It was just too bad the ground was so hard, ouch my back! It’s obviously been too long between camping trips (with Melbourne lockdown) or I’m getting old! Of course, we can’t stop for a camp without a cache to remember it by. Thanks for the cache!

Stopped at this cache on the long way back home, after a fabulous couple of days in Beechworth and surrounds. There were a couple of kayakers fishing quietly in the river, and the beautiful camping ground opposite had quite a few campers. We have certainly bookmarked this location for future camping. Cache found quickly in good condition. Thank you for keeping this purpledreamer cache going BettyBoo3747.
Found with Lazdaz on 08/01/2021 wile relaxing at Pioneer Bridges for a couple of days. Superb spot
Quick find and stealth with campers around. Would be a great place for a swim next time. TFTC
Just coming down the river in kayaks and we thought that we should try do this one and I guess we found. Also I think it was a pretty nice hiding spot
Had to fight off the cache guardians. Camped here overnight on the run from Sydney to Melbourne.

On a mission towards reaching my 1000th cache in my first 12 months of caching. Team OZCAT enjoying the cooler weather
A day out with Happy pants, picking up some out on the back roads around the Milawa area. Some great finds and different containers found, while having a great day out together.
This would be a nice little free camp spot by the river.
Thanks purpledreamer (adopted by BettyBoo3747) for all the effort of placing the cache for us to find and doing the maintenance to keep it in play

Found while out on a caching trip up through Benalla and Wangaratta, the Winton Wetlands and some tough caches on Mt. Buffalo
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Today we have headed out to find all of the Gourmet Run caches so that we could find the final so that we could collect the unloved. Some where easy to find, some we struggled with but we got there in the end. SL TFTC
A cool spot.
Cool - it’s great to see the local area through the eyes of a geocacher, it makes for an very interesting way to travel around Australia.
Seeing these interesting parts of a local area that shows the history, the memories of characters, and pioneers who lived and worked on the land.
An amazing part of the local history here.
We meandered over to GZ, found the cache, with signing duties done and dusted, we replaced the container as found.

The rest of the family headed off to Canberra for a couple of days (some of us have to work!) and the original plan for today was to travel down to Werribee to see a vagrant duck(!) but that was cancelled as it hasn't been seen since last weekend. So what better way to spend the day than to find a few caches. Headed out in the alternative geomobile which is bluer and lower than the usual one - the latter proved a challenge turning around at some of the caches found today! First plan was to get a find a few previous DNFs (and a few I hadn't logged) and then see where I ended up (had a vague plan to end up in Wangaratta but was all a bit weather dependent).
I got away a bit later than planned and the first few took a bit longer than I hoped (though I got all but one) so by the time I finished a few more in the HSS it was too hot to walk too far. So I then targeted a whole lot of park and grabs where in most cases I left the car running with the geohound safely ensconced in the air conditioning. Did end up in Wangaratta where I picked up a few long solved puzzles, but was not organised enough to pick up a couple I need for a few local challenges. In the end I got 38 caches (including 9 I had looked for previously) and 2 DNFs (1 I can not find, the second the sun was just too hot). Though judging on I was only one of a few people that was out and about - the car thermometer hit 38 as I drove back towards Albury.
The first of this series I have looked for. A few cars on the other side of the bridge but all quiet here so a quick find.
Thanks for maintaining this cache BettyBoo3747

Day 1 of 3 in the Beechworth Bright area for Trailstevo and I. 12 months ago we were here and had to get back for some unfinished business. We collected a few cache on the way up, all pretty much drivebys and then onto the Beechworth rail trail to continue on where we left off. Picked up around 30 on the trail and then stopped for a few solved puzzles in the area. The weather has been so bad here in the past day, but we were serious lucky to not get wet today. Luck to see an echidna and 4 tawny frogmouths sat on one branch. Has been a good outing today. Heading into Bright for dinner now. Thanks for the fun.
Gunks and Trailstevos 'Summer' adventure. Well at least the rain is warm. Trek to Bright and surrounds taking in some places along the way. Tackled some of the gourmet series next. TFTC
An overnight caching trip around Milawa area with dalerious and of course Rex [:X] where the 1st cache was found at 20:15 and the last cache of the 18 finds was found at 3:04 as we made our way back to Shepp [|)]
dalerious did a couple of tree climbs which he hated NOT! and that started off the night as we then did a few of the Gourmet Run caches [^] and anything else that we were near [^]
We also made a point fo finding the only Spirits of Salt series cache thatw e both had unfound as it had been missing at our last attempt [^]
As I have been about 8 months behind in logging, I'm resorting to template logs to catch up.
My heartfelt thanks to the COs who have placed some tricky, funny, exercise required, scary, interesting and devious caches in some amazing spots! [^]
Rex and I have had some amazing adventures and enjoyed some incredible moments thanks to this fantastic hobby

On a whim, locus cache and I headed out late in the day to snag "a few" caches because....Why not? [^]
Well....One cache led to another
and before we knew it we had pulled another all nighter with 21 new smileys netted (only a few of which locus cache had already earned).
Didn't waste any time getting our marks on this log sheet.
A nice easy drive by found, signed and returned in record time. [^]
Cache and log found in good, clean and dry condition. [8)]
Thanks BettyBoo3747 for adopting and maintaining this excellent series.

A nice quick and easy cache. Did love the free camping spot by the creek/river. TFTC
Found: thanks for find and maintaining of this cache, log signed cache put back in its cubby hole.
A 5.30am start today to get into Wangaratta by 6.00am. Muggle son from Melbourne participating in the Police Legacy bike ride, Wanga to Melbourne, and we wanted to wave him off, and take some photos. Driving with the group as far as Greta, we finally lost the bikes and started caching. We decided we would cache until our legs dropped off, or became so tired that we had to stop. Or eat.
Quick find in obvious spot
Thanks for maintaining these purple caches Betty Boo

Great hiding spot, I hope it survives any floods. Container has a crack in it.
Tackled this series with The Wackyweedos and The Stephenson’s 5. Enjoyed a day of caching. Tftc
A caching day whilst the kids are at school with the Wackyweedos and The Clazzas, exploring the Milawa, Oxley and Wangaratta area. The main aim was to pick up the Gourmet Run series with a few extras thrown in. A great variety of hides found.
Being the driver for the day, most caches were found before I even got out of the car.. Not this one tho happily found by me..

Road tripping with Mrs Stevo & MrsClazza picking up the Gourmet Run series on a very wintery day... Container slightly cracked. Quick park n grab. Found by MrsStevo. Tftc. Chasing hidden creatures.
Picked up on our way out of town to grab some trads along with some challenge caches. Lovely area - TFTC
Found with Kittykatch and Grimraider on a last run after visiting Wangaratta for the weekend doing the rail trail and enjoying the beautiful area. Thanks for bringing us here
Staying at the Oxley Recreation Reserve for a couple of days and today being a lovely sunny, dry day after the storms and rain, we went out for a drive around and some cache hunting. It is a very beautiful area to drive round so thanks to the COs for all the caches we found today.
On our way home after caching around the Wangaratta/Myrtleford area and on out list of caches was this one, which we found along the way.
Thanks for the cache placement and for bringing us here.

A 4 day trip from Adelaide to Everton, Beechworth and surrounds.
8 of South Australia's finest caching teams came across the border Freddo, Team Astro, The White Dog Gang, Four Fun, Unicycle, Southern Cross Caching, Shonkloic, and Team Waldron hit the bike trails and country back roads.
It wasn't nice the the mozzies were sent to defend the ceches against us but we persisted.
On the way home we visited Bendigo, St Arnaud and many towns in between.
Many thanks to all the cache owners who put out caches for us to find.
A great time was had and we left enough to make another trip worthwhile.

Found on an awesome trip with the SAW STUFF boys (Shonky, Astro[me], Waldron, Southern Cross, Whitedog, Unicycle, Freddo & Four-Fun). The trip had it all including this awesome cache. There were pots and schooners (no pints) , mazzive mozzies the size of small elephants we hitched rides on , realistic lizards, real live [xx(] kangaroos that got to close and uphills. Then there were bikes and pumps. There was sweat and dust but no tears. My thanks to the group and the coordination that enabled an amazing fun filled few days that will go down in caching-lore. [^]
Thanks to BettyBoo3747 and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet!
Cache found. We CAME. We CACHED. We SAW STUFF. Eight South Australian caching teams on the prowl in Lake Victoria. We were attacked by vampire mosquitoes. We were attacked by rogue magpies. We were attacked by brown snakes. We were attacked by running kangaroos. We were attacked by publicans and cooks. In the end we got the message and went home, but not before finding lots of hidden cachey things using billions of dollars of satellites and cheap hand-held devices.
One of many fun finds on along the way on the "SAW STUFF" road trip to central Victoria with Shonki, Astro, Waldron, Southern cross, Twdg, Uni & Freddo [^]
