Logs
We found this one quite quickly, but as the previous finder has said the log has got wet and is now jammed in and can't be removed. We placed our sticker on the bottom of the container to prove we were there but it won't last long. TNLN TFTC
As we were intending on visiting Toowoomba to attend an event, we decided it was about time to take the opportunity to complete a few challenge caches while in the area. One of these is the Animal Alphabet Challenge Cache but we still needed to find a few more animals to meet the logging requirements.
Jaguar's Lair was one such cache so we made a detour past ground zero to add our name to the log. It didn't take us too long to spy what we needed. Unfortunately the log book was wet and had swollen inside the micro container and we were unable to remove (we have a photo of the hide if required).
Thank you for having placed the cache for everyone to enjoy.

Hi guys. The rain has taken its toll on your log - sorry. I don't think it's salvageable. I've popped an emergency log in, in a plastic bag. Hope it's not too jammed in. TFTC!
Now, this cache took a little map looking to decide on the best way to get to GZ. It was soon found and we were off. We bee-lined it for GZ and it was not long before we found the lair and the cache that hid within.
It was a shame that the log was just so wet, that we could not sign our names in it. The cache is just not suited for the area and is allowing the water in.
This cache was part of a ‘GSFGH’ Group Sunday Funday Geocache Hunt. As a team Stacevel, *SuzySquirrel*, spinna76, LechBros and I worked together towards raising our numbers so we could all have a joint milestone event next week. The hardest part about doing something like this, as a team, was finding an area to hunt that had not already been harvested by one of the group. After a little map scanning, the area this cache was located was found to be the most neutral hunting ground.
Thanks for the cache Eco & Rev. The cache requires a little TLC.

#973 @ 11:59 am. A numbers run today in the Joyner area before the big thousand milestone next weekend. A happy find for Stacevel. TFTC !
#973 @ 11:58 AM Out caching with Stacevel, SuzySquirrel, MinkosDes and Lechbros today. Too moist to sign. Nice location though. ~ TFTC Eco & Rev

Caching with spinna76, Lechbros, SuzySquirrel & MinkosDes today.
Found this one fairly easily but the log is far too saturated to sign.

A nice little area of the world with a lovely view for those on the hill. We were happy to mark this one off as it ticks a box for our animal alphabet challenge [^] The log book is VERY wet. We would have replaced for you but were without supplies today. A replacement might be in order though. Thanks for another cache Eco & Rev
Hi Eco & Rev,
The container for this cache was found in good order however the log book was extremely wet and we had to scratch rather than write our names on it. A replacement when you're next in the area might be necessary.

Log book is extremely wet. Makes signing very difficult, trying not to tear out pages when signing.
TFTC - Jaguar's claws put a couple of holes in my shirt, so watch out for sharp bits when going in to look....
Tftc. Log was quite wet so photo log included. I think this container has changed size? It was in the right place but not what we expected. Recovered and returned on a nice day caching.
After doing a cache nearby decided we would walk to this one and do it too . Nice hide tftc
This one was missing last time, had a hard timekeeping the kids out of the spiky vines here. Lucky this was a quick find, found on the ground . Replaced where I thought it should go. Thanks so much for replacing this and the others
An enjoyable day of caching with The Drovers where we did lots of walking through several parkland and bush area.. This was one of the caches we targetted - cache back in place. Nice one [^][^] Thanks to Eco & Rev.
Still camped at the showgrounds, and headed out again with Liz and Bruce.
We visited many parks and reserves, and found a wide variety of cache hides.
Many thanks for placing this cache, Eco & Rev, for us and others to find.

Flew into Brisbane this morning on the way out west for the week working, grabbed a couple of caches on the way.
Chasing this cache for a challenge in Toowoomba, nice little area. Cache does need some maintenance though as the object it is in has broken and is on the ground together with the one next to it. Cache was on the ground in the open. I have placed in an obvious hiding place in the same location. Needs a CO eyeball to make sure its OK.

Took a bit of searching. Then there it was! TFTC

Found this one a few days ago, and for some reason our Magellan hasn't been logging our visits. Anywho - thanks for a great cache!!
Found while out on an FTF hunt, quick find. The cache was on the ground when we arrived, placed back in correct location. Tftc
After spending the whole day in this area caching with teamdfl I decided to grab just two more before heading home, as they were the last two little green boxes and really needed fixing up This one was a little scary doing in the dark by myself, but I sucked in the courage, and made sure my head torch was at its brightest spotlight setting Anyone coming nearby was going to get blinded!!!! However, my journey was very peaceful, and I quickly had the cache in hand. Found a pathtag to add to my collection as well (thanks, Sweet-Sour ) TFTC, Eco & Rev. A few of yours done today, I think
Spent the mid morning at the Pine Rivers Pony Club on the flats below Old Petrie Town for a family reunion of old Petrieites, after lunch off to find some local caches.
This was the fourth find on the way home.
I do love caches hidden at obvious hides and cache in hand in no time. [^]
Left a pathtag of mine, great to find a cache that I can see without a magnifting glass, I do have a dislike for micro's.

Tried to access from a similarly named road, no such luck, so instead tried an alternative route which proved more fruitful. Quiet secluded area to make the easy enough find, sign and return to the moosemobile. tftc Eco & Rev
After a while of trying to follow an elevation line instead of the road I switched back to OSM and like magic so many footpaths appeared on the map, still had to walk around to the other side though.

I nearly went hunting in the bush, but then glanced back and saw it out of the corner of my eye
Found with Wombles today. We took the less interesting way in and was an easy find... I have to admit the more interesting way intrigued me however today was not the day for adventures and our car was the other direction so we gave it a miss

We were in the wrong place at first but once we found the right way we found the cache quickly.
No time for wandering today, running out of winter daylight!

2nd for the day (And 2nd one ever! hehe)
After walking around and crossing the creek, we found it My sister and I are now hooked!
We forgot the pen, but we did find it!!

What a nicely hidden and peaceful spot. I came in from powerlines and is a nice little walk. Tftc
I was nearby making a crazy FTF attempt and decided to have a quick look about. There are tons of caches in easy reach, but this one stands out as a great one to collect for my Animal Alphabet Challenge list.
So I park near by and am relieved that bush bashing isn't required. I follow the GPS down to GZ and look in a few places without luck. I little bit of feeling and I notice some hide tell tales and then soon have the cache.
I didn't take a pen, so I took a photo of the resident Jaguar and saved a Labrador from being cat food.

Needed a Jaguar for a Challenge that is running so this was the perfect cache to find . Parked nearby and after a short stroll and careful manoeuvring around the sharp claws, we had the beast in hand. Left a Labrador to keep the Jaguar company. TNSL TFTC .
Well my motivate for this cache was that I needed a cache with an animal name that started with j, and this was the only one around.
I did find the cache exposed and not covered up, so was a na easy find. Did increase the cover on return.

I found the terrain 2 approach after finding the cache (natch). The main road was into peak hour at the time but had a couple of breaks in the traffic to cross. Cache is safe and sound. SL. Thanks.
Second spider for the day on the cache container!! Ended up shirtless trying to get the bloody thing off me as it crawled up my shirt! All good in the end - no bite, just fright!
The nearby dog had a good chuckle at me also

2nd of 24 finds today at 11:02. This cache helped contribute to a new best day record for me.
After a short walk from my car, as I had parked in Todds Road, I arrived at the GZ and commenced my search. The cache was very very well hidden and I missed it the time I had looked there. The hint was very helpful in revealing where the cache was.

Out and about with geoson and geobf brownsnakemob. Geoson found this one, loved the birds in this area.
Thanks for the cache Eco & Rev.

Thanks for the cache. Easily found. Thought the car parking suggested to be abit out of the way. Best to park car in picnic park on main road.
On a beaut sunny morning of bike riding around The Pine lands I had picked up several footy themed caches along the bike tracks already
Arriving here and noting the cache name had me puzzled for a minute.
Which AFL team has the nickname "The Jaguars" I wondered [:o)]
Oh !! This an Eco & Rev cache....... sorry guys
Down in the gloom of the creek side I was getting nervous.
Jaguars are dangerous critters when cornered [:o]
But not as dangerous as the necklace of wire around the hiding place.
I had already seen it, but as is usual I still managed to stab meself in the head as I reached in for the cache
I hope it leaves a scar.... I can say that a Jaguar scratched me [:o)]
All hardened geocachers have scars from their battles don't they ?

A short walk through the park thinking we would be finding a cave or something - not as such. Some very nasty claws when we reached for the cache though.
Thanks, Robmc.
Thanks, Robmc.
A pleasant short stroll in from the main road.
No jaguars seen but I did have to be careful not to garotte myself on the barbed wire near the cache.
Thanks guys

Out on a cycling loop collecting a few local caches on the way. I had found one near here previously I think by Nina's Clan. When we found the right approach, this one was quickly in hand. TFTC
Great cache description. This tree really does look like a big cat lair. Avoided the jaguar claws and made the find. I only wish I had avoided those claws elsewhere last weekend. Hmmm, wonder if my tetanus is up to date.

Container was a little stuck under tree roots and took some pushing and pulling to retrieve it. Place back in same location but improved the wriggle room.

Took the powerline reserve walk. Lovely bit of "national park" behind these houses. Lucky, lucky residents!

Nice hide - not too difficult - but slightly off the "track". We were also surprised by some "animal" rustling in the bushland close by - what was that????
I came at the cache from the main road and slogged through a bit of mud along the way.
Easily located the cache when I arrived.

On a muggy Sunday afternoon, approached this cache as suggested in the description. It is definitely an interesting walk in. We could here youngsters playing in the creek - they seemed to be having a good time. We hoped they weren't close to the cache, and all was well. Cache was in the first place we looked - wasn't quite in its little hole. Signed, replaced into the hole and moved on!
Took magnet, left camel. SL
