An unexpected call from the Whitemushroom suggesting a return to the limekiln Road and the Mount Horrible area to pick up some caches we had left behind a couple days ago prompted a quick "Yes let's go".
No amount of looking and crawling got us anywhere so a DNF for us.
Thanks for the cache, still love this part of the world!

Hmmm, this should have been logged as a DNF back in July. Another visit with a similar result - the door is there ... there is nothing behind under over to give joy.

It's lucky we didn't read the old logs before we did this cache, or we might not have bothered stopping. As it was, we made an easy find.
Thanks

We parked at the turn off and walked up the road where we made an easy find. We could see the old school house in the distance but decided not to go closer since there was private property nearby. Thanks
Had a look at the old school from the roadside. However no luck with finding the cache. We find some remain of a small semista container just down from the top of the hill and tree. The cache may of been lost due to recent stormy conditions.
Quicky this one

Found it! I made an early morning start so I could detour this way on the way to work. Just a bit cool at this hour. A nice easy find in the end. SL TFTC

I'm really getting to know this road after being out here a few days in a row.
As my grandmother came from this area, the information provided set me wondering whether she had attended any of these schools. It makes you wish you'd asked more questions earlier.

Mudgee Trip 2013. I remember coming to Mk1 and it not being here so I am glad you have persisted. I suppose it was not a DNF back then but now it is off the list in my mind. Thanks.

I'm guessing Mark 1 has gone to the cache ground in the sky, but we managed Mark 2 without any issues....so thanks for having it there for us to find.
Enjoying the country road run.....always fun to find caches on the back roads....

GeoWife and I spent three fantastic days caching in Bathurst and the surrounding area.
This was one of the many great little caches we located.

Found it, but only just. As it had been a while since the last find it was buried fairly well.
Cheers.

I missed the cache on my first sweep, then my second. After my third I decided maybe GZ was wrong and moved to another obvious location. That was when Chip found the cache where I had previously looked three times. It was well and truly buried under a lot of bark, dirt and leaf litter!
Cheers

The sun was well and truly setting when we found this cache and the GPS was going into night mode. Great camouflage for this hide. Took TB coin.
Gotcha !!! So many schools so close together. Would have been hard to wag school. TFTC
Quick find on the drive home to Penrith from Sofala, after a day of Gold panning. SL, TFTC! Rob - VK2GOM
I prefer this location as it saves trying to explain to the locals why you are loitering by the roadside. Nice to find some caches on a Saturday drive. Thanks.
Found without the inquisition from the landowners. Just a quick inspection by the wooly ones before they decided we were dangerous and galloped away. TFTC
Found this one when it was in a different location, across the road. Found again in new spot.

A late night cache. I wad sure this was going to be on the other side of the road! TFTC
Found it after letting the local inhabitant make his (or her) way away from GZ - a nice little 1.5m brown! A little bit of a shock we must say.
Cache was out in the open as the hole seems to be the brown's thoroughfare, so we replaced it near GZ but not in the little alcove.
A warning to fellow cachers - be careful on this one.

A quick find however I made sure I parked the geojalopy about 60 metres to the south to avoid being in sight of the school house. I was not altogether successful with the family horse coming up to say "hello" and then running down to the gate opposite the house as if to say "there's another person writing stuff near my tree, come and have a look!!!"
So it was a quick scribble, replace and move on. Door closed on departure.

Whilst I am out of the race to fill all dates by Feb 29 next year I can still cross off the odd date.
With a bit of time to kill went for this one and had a nice quick find. Great spot, nice and peaceful.

Found after the “Scenic Web Lookin” Orange mini blitz on the way home. Yay a joint Scenic Router, Team Webguy, Team Stilllookin FTF to round out a big day of caching. 35 hours must almost be unheralded for a cache to go unfound around here. It was an impromptu decision to head out for this one after we arrived back in Bathurst after our mini “Scenic Web Lookin” Orange blitz after we discovered it was still unfound or at least un logged. After arriving at GZ at 12:50 am in the morning we quickly opened up the log to find a blank canvas. Wonder what the people in the car which followed us all the way out here thought we were up to?
Thanks for the cache.
Took nothing left nothing.
