We went for a ride around the track and decided to cut back through some roads to where we were parked. This took us a little while before we got onto the right track and found this cache.TFTC
I couldnt find this one the meters away kept changing and it was very annoying I dont think that it is there anymore
2nd try on this cache. A good read of previous logs and extended my search area to come up with the goods. Thanks for a good search experience with grandchildren.
Ocw the Bebes. Came back for another look after seeing a couple of recent finds. Extended our search and soon had CIH. Tftc
OCW PelDroedGwin Well thats a bit embarrassing after our recent DNF here there were finds so we headed back here today. We had the right idea last time but didnt stretch our search area quite far enough ! Log signed today. Tftc
Found it Awsome and cheeky finding spot Needs new paper Must have your own pen
OCW PelDroedGwin and geodog Peppa A few more caches around town before we head back to camp. A gallery image gives away this hide but with three of them missing it looks like the cache has gone walkabout with one of them ! A CO visit is needed here.
Thank you for placing this for us to find. Thank you for contributing to the geo map and maintaining when required. TFTC
SA’s Leap Year Event - keep the date free - 29th February 2024. GCA1DNA. Can’t wait!!
For an early Christmas pressie mrs frilk had booked a short cruise for us. The journey so far had been plagued by strong winds so we had not been able to make our first stop however today we had a beautiful day to wander around Port Lincoln. We eschewed the organised excursions and decided to let the geocaching app guide our way. We walked for over 5 hours and covered over 20km.
A quick find. TFTC.

With rain expected tomorrow, we headed out with iluvtrekking to do dry weather caching. Quick find - sneaky. Thanks Orange Angels
Another cache found with richlink on a beautiful sunny day.
Thank you so much to the CO’s who have placed and maintained caches for the enjoyment of all.

We found this cache twice, two years apart, and forgot to log it the first time so have backdated it to today. TFTC
Well it’s 2021 and I have finally said good bye to a not so great 2020 and it was great to finally be able to have a reasonable holiday as I have not had a decent break since 2019.
Made to South Australia and finally crossing the boarder and then being greeted by a couple of very friendly SA police offices for which i had the official paper work to allow me to enter.
After making my way west along the Eyre Hwy I went as far as Penong and the Eyre Hwy which I have not travelled along since the late 70’s when I was on a holiday with my folks and this was the last holiday before I started full time work as a sparkie and finding a few caches as I go.
Geocaching when towing a van is not always easy and I have to be a bit selective on which ones I decide to try and find for safe parking purposes especially along busy highways.
So after leaving Coffin Bay my next destination is Port Lincoln which is down the bottom of Eyre Peninsular off the Flinders Hwy.
I’m hoping for better weather soon I don’t mind it being cool just not rain showers when you are out and about.
I left Coffin Bay early so I could get set up and then go out looking for little green dots on my map.
After touring around the area it was time to head back to the park but I decided to grab some seafood for tea as you cannot beat fresh prawns and Coffin Bay oysters and I happened to notice that this one is close by after calling into the fish shop.
I hopefully won’t need to use any of these 2 numbers on this trip but it is good to know them.
This was a very sneaky cache that had me looking everywhere but I eventually came up with the goods and added my name to the log.
Thanks Orange Angels TFTC.

Very clever hide. Clue in a previous log which helped. I like this idea as I'm looking for tips on placing some caches around my area soon. Thanks for the cool find!
Took a bit to find due to trees and cloud cover. Didn't have a pen so couldn't leave a comment. Fun little find
This weekend, I joined gridge98 on a trip to Eyre Peninsula, primarily visiting Port Lincoln and its surroundings. We saw its famous marina full of trawlers, and we also ended up visiting Coffin Bay and enjoyed fresh oysters. A nice weekend with weather, and certainly a great vicinity to see.
After having a successful day yesterday, we awoke with motivation and optimism for the day that was ahead of us. However after having our first geocache find, a rock had hit the vehicle's oil sump, leaving the car inoperable and requiring the car to be towed to a mechanic in Port Lincoln. The morning was then spent addressing the vehicle's repair plan, and then trying to salvage the remainder of our weekend's plans. We walked around the centre of Port Lincoln, before finding a hire vehicle for us, and then the afternoon was spent driving around the area. It was interesting seeing Port Lincoln's marinas and also caught glimpse of the shark cages. We ended up drowning our sorrows in the evening (whilst celebrating gridge98's birthday) at the craft brewery, which was probably a highlight of the day.
This was a sneaky hide that had us looking for a good 5-10 min around the place. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Orange Angels for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

This cache took a bit of searching and wasn’t in the first place we looked after reading the logs an obvious hide was found
Well what a day it was, a day filled with more downs than ups and but overall a few caches were found in and around port Lincoln. Davidwazza and I headed to the Eyre Peninsula for a weekend away to clean up as much as we could and collect a few new LGAs for Davidwazza. This morning 2nd cache in we ended up cracking the oil sump in the car and having to sort out what to do and how to fix the issue. Lucky a mechanic was at hand and a prolonged trip was soon scheduled and a hire car was in hand. I guess things happen when you use a car for things that it’s not made to do.
Other than that a great day out.
Thanks for the cache

Ignore the zip ties, the cache is still there, love these hides. Log is a bit wet but still ok to write on. TFTC 2BluFish
A trip to Port Lincoln to visit relatives and to pay tribute to a lost family member. The Adder managed to talk the rest of the family of complete
un interested muggles to allow him to seek a few caches whilst staying with them for a week.
After a DNF yesterday we returned with a little more information as to what we were looking for, A bison but alas it was not to be found. Only the suspended log book was located so it was signed and returned. TFTC

We are on the Vasco de Gama cruise ship for a few days. After the disappointment of not stopping at KI yesterday (understandable given the fire devastation) we were happy to arrive in Port Lincoln today. I didn’t set us the most interesting route as I wanted to get the 2 Freddo caches in town. I think the coastal walk would have been nicer.
In the end we walked 16.3km, found 13 caches, called in at 2 boozers and had lunch on the ship. A very productive day and still lots of caches to find in Lincoln if or when we ever come back.
Nicely hidden here TFTC

Dnf. We thought we knew the type of cache we were looking for but no smiley for us today even though we have over 1050 finds.
As we walked towards GZ we thought that we knew the hide because w had seen that style on a number of occasions. Our hunch was correct and we were able to make a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Orange Angels for the cache.
Thanks Orange Angels, found near your very nice facilities. Log in great condition. Visiting from Qld, grabbing a few.
Found at 1:57 PM GAFF3.
Well - it seems as the CO is no longer interested in the game and so we replaced the log book on the end of the fishing line where a previous finder had replaced the cache with a bison tube.
It is sad that nearly all of the cachers in this town have given up the game and their caches are going to rubbish!
Thanks Orange Angels

Found some fishing line attached to something it’s not normally attached too. Gave up.
Cheers

Hey, I found the fishing line which I assume the cache was attached to. I found this cache a few years back anyway. Maintenance required.
