Had a pretty good look with 2 GPS's telling us where we needed to be. felt, swept scrabbled and used the eye to look into crannies, all with no result. Is it there??
Had a look around under the bridge with no luck. Because of the rain the ground was very wet so we were cautious with our exploring.
Had a good look around and could not find. Checked activity and was relieved that the last person could not find either
This one hasn’t been found in a while. Worth a go and glad we did. Nice quiet wee spot. Men went picking blackberries and Bryce found the cache.
A quick find on the way back from Kelceys Bush. We are now off to Geraldine, but decided to cross this bridge on the way. TFTC erninz.
Day 7 of 8 of a trip around the South Island. Today, it’s Oamaru to Christchurch.
We hit the road at a reasonable hour, but not before stocking up on lollies from the factory shop here in Oamaru.
The aim for today was a few targeted older caches, as usual on this trip, and some short walks around other areas just to stretch the legs, as well as the odd PnG where we could. Kept track of time the whole way as it’s mum’s birthday and we have a dinner date in Christchurch. TFTC to all COs, we had a good day of travelling.

Grabbed this cache after a morning at work. The area it is at is dry as a bone but the log was that wet I could not write anything down as it ripped the paper. Light bulb time.... Took the log book out it in my car out the heater on... red hot! And by the time I had finished getting the other 3 caches in the area... it was almost dry. Mission accomplished. Cheers
Had to work out what difficulty rating meant, then negotiated how to get the cache while not having car door ripped off my passing car (yes, I may have jumped out with little thought)
I'm on a 5 day caching trip in the south island. Have a few aims - right now its to up a few specific caches that I need to complete my grid for a challenge - and find some interesting caches on the way 1800km later I can say I've accomplished my aim!

Found nice and easy what a great spot it would be stop and ponder for a while my last cach for the day TFTC
Climbed over the gates on both sides of the bridge but couldn't find it. Will try again another day
Having a ball caching around Waimate!! Last time we visited it was before caching, and I feel that we never got to know the place until now [^] TFTC!!

Justanurse jumped over to find in the prickles. I could see the pig that made that smell too. Tftc
Smells like something died under here quick find and all in order tftc
We did wonder why there wasn't a cache at the huge tree (with plenty of parking) at the top but instead we had to squeeze truckie off the side of the road on a narrow section near the bridge. Found with Woody104 and Aoraki Sheep
Sent Woody over the side and he came back with the goods Found with Woody104 and Aoraki Sheep.
Barb wire, got over it
We enjoyed the day caching in this area
Tftfun
So many caches done to remember all, but got a kick out of all that we found (0ver 600 in 8 days)

W.Terry managed to negotiate the nasty Barbed Wire, and while under there,W Barbara and Bonnie our Geodoggie stood peering over the rails.A car come along and slowed down,so she gave him a cherry wave and Phew he waved back and kept going.TFTH
There has been a lot of water through this area recently judging by the amount of debris washed up under the bridge. It looked a bit slippery so I gave directions to fluffyduck38 and the junior dakotacat from higher ground. Luckily neither of them ripped their trousers on the barbed wire either. TFTC
It was obvious that this bridge was part of the deal. Somewhere beneath it was a likely place for a cache but access was restricted by a nasty barb wire fence. Eventually I overcome the hurdle and managed to retrieve the little devil... Gotcha !
A few big trucks out on these back roads today.
159 of 270 for a day stretching from Danseys to Thompson's Track.

It didn’t take too long to locate the cache, with Mr and Mrs W.E.K.A. approaching from opposite directions. We noted the nice clear water in the stream below.
Nice quick find while out on a walk from the Scout camp where the scouts were having the South Island Campers Competition. TFTC.
4200. This was a bit of a scramble but in the end it was a quick find.
Thanks

Luckily there was a full moon which provided at least some light way out here in the country where there are no street lights. GZ was not a great place to be at night. Cache located at 11.34pm (78 finds today and time for dinner). Claiming as a night find towards a challenge TFTC.
This spot looks somewhat familiar Took a little hunting to find it, but had good shelter from the weather. Cheers Gav [10037]
First for the day. Very quiet Sunday morning. Thanks for the gymnastics to reach the hide!
Good to be back in familiar territory. Came to taste the wines at the local vineyard and do some caching on the way
know the road so we rightly picked where this would be, and not far from friends place.thnx b&w
Recent road works meant that I had to park up around the corner and walk back. Cache was right where I expected to find it. Thanks for the cache.
Just about put one here the other week, this is the last for the night, 5 cache's 260km 3.50 hours not a bad way to spend the night.
