We were supposed to do a whale watching trip today, but it got cancelled as the whales were outside the area. Instead we set off to find a few caches. Net crawled under and soon found this cache. We were second to sign the new log. TFTC
Heading south for a birthday celebration. Stopped by here to have a dig around. Found a piece of log paper but no container. Dropped in a new one. I guess that T rating is about right.
Quickly found once I realised there were other hint items.
Thanks for the cache, bumandworker

Yet again I stop and explore a place that I've driven past hundreds of times, thanks to this hobby. Nothing found
This one had us going back and forth wondering how to get in. There is a very easy way to the cache, great hide. Thanks for the cache bumandworker.
So much for a park and grab!! Back and forth try to find a way in. Finally I just got down and dirty and there it was. Thanks for the cache bumandworker
Got close to GZ but couldn't find the cache. We looked up and down the row. Saw something that might be promising so had a peek and then sent Andy in for the retrieval, log signed and cache returned as found. tftc
#10194. Day 6 of the South Island road trip around the top of the South Island (Canterbury and Westland) with Infoferret. This trip was planned to replace the Labour weekend Auckland Mega adventure. We have stayed overnight in Murchison and today are heading to Christchurch. The weather has improved in the morning and by time we reached Canterbury it was like a hot summers day.
Finally back onto SH1 and heading south to Cheviot. Despite what Infoferret said in her log her memory has let her down once again on this one. She most definitely found it. I parked the car on the side of the highway and she wandered off around past the hall to the tennis courts. She was gone a while. I was about to come and help when she emerged from the direction of the hedgerow and said yes she had found it. Signed the logbook and replaced the cache where found. Thanks bumandworker for hiding the cache here.

(# 6008). Day 3 of my South Island odyssey. Today is getting caches from Kaikoura to Christchurch. Woke up to a fine frosty morning with views of the snow capped ranges. An uneventful trip down. A quick find given the hint. Everything in order. TFTC
Day 10 of my 2020 NZE (New Zealand Experience).
(My apologies for the delayed logging but I'm in catch-up mode)
Seeing as I can't be in America right now, I'm touring around the South Island instead. During my time here I am aiming to find as many of the TMGT caches as I can (preferably all 41) and also as many Virtuals, Earthcaches and Letterbox Hybrids as possible, plus any Trads or others that will fill a hole in my D/T grid, my Jasmer grid, or else the last 3 remaining Hidden Dates on that grid.
Having slept parked up in Kaikoura overnight, I awoke to a very fresh but otherwise beautiful morning. Today's plan was to drive from Kaikoura back to Christchurch to catch up with an old friend there before heading further south after that.
Whilst I would simply not be able to stop at every cache I was near on my tour (otherwise I'd be taking 2 years instead of just 2 weeks) I was happy to randomly stop at caches in locations that caught my eye occasionally to break up the journey, such as this one. That way I hoped to be able to add a few more Minutes to my quest to fulfil a Challenge Cache back home.
Once I had parked up and walked towards GZ, I had the place to myself to be able to search uninterrupted, and it wasn't long before I had located the cache. On opening though, I discovered the log was soaking wet! I was still just about able to make my mark on it before replacing everything back as found. Sorry I didn't have any spares on me today.
Thanks for placing this cache.

It took me a few moments and pleased to get it off my list as I know that I have been here before
Quick find while checking the surfboard is still on the roof rack. Jumped across the road and had a look around.

Last find of the day, I ignored the hint initially before getting low and making a quick find. Still picking tree debris from my hair and out of my hoodie. All good, TFTC Bum.
Another Friday afternoon drive to ChCh for the weekend, I have a new vehicle to pick up and my niece’s 18th. A few caches found on the left hand side on the way down, as you do, before the darkness hit just north of ChCh. Maybe a few more tomorrow. Thanks to all COs.

We left Feilding n.z nearly two weeks ago and went from picton to reefton over Arthur's pass which we really enjoyed then Christchurch for a couple of days to get a trail done and of course some other caches along the way so far we have managed to get over 300 caches a great effort we thought we would try and average 20 a day.
Now we are getting this cache a nice area to discover a cache stamped the log and placed it back where we found it thank you for placing a cache here and bringing us to this location. Cache is all good here tftc lovely little area

I'ive started my beautiful trip of the South Island in Christchurch, I've visited many beautiful locations. I've travelled via Lake Tapeko, from Dunedin to the most southern part of Bluff. I've then continued with a cruise in Milford Sound and then back to Queenstown.
From there on I've visited Wanaka and the Haast pass to the Franz Josef glacier. I went all the way up to the Abel Tasman NP. Richmond und Nelson as the sonnierst cities were on my list as well.
I've soon reached the east coast in Picton and Blenheim.
After a couple of days, I've then travelled back to Christchurch via Kaikoura.
I've spent a couple of days in Christchurch and it's surroundings.
I've visited many geological sites and have found many caches along the way.
I've travelled 3500km and have experienced so much.
Thank you to all the owners

As I drove past last night I thought there should be a cache here but I wanted to get to the campground before it got too late so didn't check, sure enough there was one. Thanks bumandworker

Nearly no bad weather during our whole holyday, only yesterday at Mount Cook the clouds started coming in. So it did not bother neither mmmmike nor me, that we have today, on our longest drive quite rainy weather. The only thing is, that the wet stuff makes a pretty cloudy atmosphere inside the car...
So, once in a while, a stop along the street was a good idea.
We kept going here. Was good to find.
Thanks for hiding the box.

Further along on our trip from Hamilton to Christchurch for Christmas.
Thanks for a chance to stretch our legs here.

I drive past this spot quite often and each time I see the memorial in my peripheral vision and try to remember to stop, this time I actually did. It's a nice little spot and I tested my squatting facets while going for the cache. A good thing nobody showed up as I would've looked a bit odd under there. Tftc.
One of my fav ways of spending a weekend day - jump into the car with a direction in mind, stopping for caches along the way, enjoying the journey. This time I piled a couple of 'kids' into the car also, and we headed to Kaikoura making the most of the road being open for the weekend and not that much traffic thanks to the Picton detour still in place. Needless to say that we never made it as far as Kaikoura, although we leaft early enough and got quite close. Try explaining that on a monday at work - where did you go over the weekend? Well, Kaikoura, but we did not quite make it there. Oh, is the road still so bad? LOL!
We made this one much harder than it needed to be, as we had no idea how to enter! Eventually we got to the righ place! TFTC!!

Kaikoura - Amberley. Last day before heading back to the N.I
A day on the road picking up caches where we thought it was suitable to pull over in the camper.
Geocaching is a great way to tiki tour the area. Lots of farming countryside today.
Log book was wet so we have replaced it.

Failed to find this 2 years ago- so it was nice to track it down quite quickly this time. A nice little spot- and there were huge flocks of starlings in the nearby trees. tftc
Found with warfi, the birds were making a noise don the road so had to go and investigate , great display.
Passed here yesterday but lawn mowing/working bee in progress so returned today when I had the place alone. A nice facility with a bit of history ! Thanks
Nice hide! Needs maintenance, was fully Sub merged in about 8 cm of water! TFTC!!
These monuments commemorating the loss of so many young people always make me realize how lucky my own gf was to return from France after WW1. Tftc.
We're visiting from Florida, USA. That was great fun. Thanks for placing the cache.
Cache is fine....we are not going to hunt down the farmer next door and tell him how to run his business. The next local to use the play area or tennis court will surely know who to contact.
May be just avoid this for a couple of days. We will de driving past then any way and can have a look see and update this note.

Log OK but sheep needs to be removed as it looks as though it died of fly strike
Second day of Chelzea and I doing a weekend cache run through Hanmer to Blenheim through Molesworth Station, an overnight camp and then return along the main highway back to ChCh. A pretty intense weekend with over 120 caches found that most seem to blend together so reluctantly cut and paste logging. Had a great time finding many wonderful caches in a fair few cool spots worthy of the visit. Very few DNF's but will note anything interesting or wrong with individual caches. Thanks to all the cache owners.
On a mission to meet with the in-laws in kaikoura to give them some stuff that is too heavy to courier. So they are coming down from Blenheim to meet for lunch. Decided to stay over on Cheviot last night so we could get some caches on the way there and back.
GPS was saying "the gate, the gate" but I saw the alternative.
Looked first around the memorial, don't go there as the fence rail falls off when you open the gate!
TFTC

I did not feel very comfortable visiting this one - padlocked gates and fenced off. No-one around so I climbed the lowest fence. The cache was quickly found thanks to the helpful hint. Usually war memorials are open to the public, but this one was not very inviting today.
Found while on a cycle trip from Picton to Christchurch, great to combine cycling with my interest in Geocaching, and also have an excuse for a micro break. *TFTC bumandworker #8562* Always enjoy coming to these historic and rural locations, and also particularly like these hiding locations.
One of 16 located on our stop-start drive from Christchurch to Kaikoura. After lunching at Cheviot and intending to drive from there to Kaikoura without stopping, found myself looking for another four caches en route. This was one of them. Made hard work of this one as I didn’t interpret the hint properly. Starting to walk away when I spotted another place to look, the right one as it turned out. #956. TFTC.
Another welcome stop for a leg stretch on our drive from Christchurch to Picton. We bypassed the hard gate by walking round the building. Good hide! Thanks for placing.
Another nice little place. Good hide. That gate is _hard_ to open..

Mega trip to NZ: day 3, alone with my beloved squib. We wanted to drive to Kaikoura and find some caches on our way. Thanks for the fun and greetings from Finland.
Found it with Team FIN [janahola, kapeka, laalaa & temyllyl]
We had fun with caching few weeks here in New Zealand. Lots of geocaches and many sort of them too. We saw awesome places, weather was pretty good all the time and people were friendly and polite. Caches were pretty similar like in our home country. Of course there were some exeptions. Nice and really scenary country!

We dnf'd this 18 months ago.
Certainly didn't search anywhere near where the hide is now on our last visit.
Maybe the coordinates got changed.
Anyway, a quick find, thank goodness.

cache find #3798 A good way to take a break from the journey. Parked the car nearby and walked to gz and found the cache. TFTC.
Out for a day caching with Gullivers Travels54 from Christchurch north along the east coast to Kaikoura. Took a little bit of thinking about which was the best way to find this one. With a little bit of a shift we were soon in a good spot to make the grab. Got the log signed and replaced before moving on to the north.

[green] At last I am on my way to the mega. Two weeks of insane caching in Christchurch. Looking at 7 Badgegen upgrades, a 200+ cache day and, of course, the Mega. But first I have to get there. It took me 9 hours to drive to Christchurch, pretty much what I expected, found 55 caches along the way.
Another tennis court! Found a path tag here! Yay! I haven't dropped of my own off yet, will start that tomorrow.

Cheers for the cache.

Saw this one on the way down but left this for the return journey.... It is easy parking and completely away from muggles passing. The hint was quite explicit. So the find was quickly in hand and back on the road north again. thank you for this cache and another smiley face.
Found on my way out of the south island tftc

Driving a car back to Palmerston North for a friend. Quick stop, for a easy find. Thanks for the cache.
We camped at Alfred Stream reserve in the cache campervan. We didn't arrive until 11 pm last night. We found on the way back to Christchurch. We finally arrived in Renwick as we had found a few geocaches on the way. We had lunch and then found some more.
You will have received a lot of logs from team Nosy Bear this weekend. Thanks for placing all those caches in interesting places. It has been a lot of fun finding them all.

I think the CO has a wicked sense of humour.
Does he not realise that some Cachers are "muscle flexibly challenged" ?? I must have looked a sight on all fours (plastered in sheep droppings!) grovelling for the container?
BUT, I did it - so there!
